Works great for me. Keep everything in the freezer until the day before I need it (or the morning of). Quick prep time in the oven, can mix with veggies or rice. Simple way to eat clean. Jerk chicken is the best.

I am in love with their cilantro lime & use their pre contest plain almost everyday. They’ve recently made some improvements & more delicious than ever. It’s super quick, I grab a pack out of the freezer to thaw & stick it in the air fryer for a few minutes but you can throw it in any dish you’d like really.

I live in Mass and order my chicken through them. As far as chicken from other prep services the chicken pound CANNOT be beat. Packaged very well. Frozen solid when I get it. I let it thaw out and either microwave it or have air fryed it (reheat). KCBBQ and Teriyaki are my go to flavors. Will be a repeat customer.

I've used The Chicken # for about 3 years. There have only been a couple incidents where something wasn't 100%, referring to shipping. The customer service has been great at correcting any issues. From my experience there has not been anything that comes close when it comes to convenience. Never dry and always ready to go.

I ordered the product and was very satisfied with how much was in one package. Food was easy to prepare and made a quick dinner after a hard workout posible. Chicken was very moist and delicious. I plan ahead and put into refrigerator w4 hrs before I indulge. Delivery and packaging was better that other products I've tried and very excellent packaging. Chicken pound take a bow.😎💪

Tastes great, fast delivery, and no prep. I used to spend at least 8 hours per week prepping between going to the grocery store, trimming the little fat of the edges on chicken breast & cutting the breast into small pieces so it cooked faster without burning on the surface while staying undercooked inside, then veggies, rice, potatoes, etc. Now I just order 20lbs - 25lbs of chicken all different flavors and chicken meatballs, frozen veggies in microwavable bags, & cook 2 cups of rice EOD. There is no prep other than putting rice in rice cooker then jumping in the shower before heading to work. I used to think meal prep services were a rip off. The prices were high compared to prepping and it was edible. When you’re used to eating for result and not taste you’ll anything and like it. The Chicken Pound is different. With the cost of groceries especially chicken & other meats so high The Chicken Pound prices are not that far off and worth it after you factor in the time saved driving to the grocery store, shopping, prepping everything, etc. I’d rather work 8 hours of OT and make enough $$ sitting on my arse making sales to buy 6 months of Chicken Pound. The new sauces are a game changer. I love putting sauces on my food but there aren’t many low fat, low calories options. Life is so much easier now. I buy rice, frozen veggies, rice cakes, and guacamole packs in bulk to reduce my trips to the grocery store.

I'm not sure I'll ever go back to buying chicken in the store. The Chicken Pound makes it easy and convenient to meal prep. Each flavor comes in 2 8-ounce vac packs, which makes it easy if you want to cook only 8 ounce at a time. Packaging and delivery (on dry ice) was well done, and I got my chicken pretty fast. These aren't chintzy, small cuts either. The chunks are a good size! Great flavors too, can't wait to try them all! So far I've only made mine in the oven, 13 minutes seems to be the magic cook time. A bit pricey, but hey, it's all about convenience, and it's so worth it! And they have meatballs too!!

Love this service. After getting tired of meal prep service/doing it myself, searched online for a company that specializes in just chicken breast. Chicken Pound was exactly what I was looking for. Been using them for several months now, top notch customer service and the chicken tastes great. FedEx once had a delay in my shipment and the chicken still arrived frozen, thanks to some Grade A packaging. They have this down to a science, I'd recommend them to anyone.

First off, I love all of the flavors but as I am now following a bodybuilding prep, I can’t have oil. The pre contest chicken is the perfect solution! It’s still just as juicy and delicious as all of the other flavors. I’m so satisfied. Even if you’re not a fitness enthusiast or a bodybuilder, the pre seasoned fully cooked chicken is a great convenience for the average person looking for quick easy healthy eating options. Just “heat” and “eat”.

Ordered the 11 pound box subscription for my first order. Everything came in a timely manner, was frozen hard as a rock and without issue. I couldn't wait so I dethawed one of the packs immediately. I’m happy with the flavor and most of all the convenience. I like my chicken more well done so I bump up the recommended reheating temperature and time. I bought an air fryer as the instructions recommend it for the best taste and it’s been a game-changer. The amount of time I’m saving with this service is priceless.

So far the chicken flavors have been great. Don't expect them to taste like they are smothered in real barbeque sauce, or else the macros would not work for most fitness enthusiasts. I had some vacuum seals that were broken but they offered to replace or refund the broken ones. I hope the price possibly goes back down after this chicken supply shortage rebounds.

Placed my first order of the middleweight (10 pounds) last week. I got plain, bbq, teriyaki, and lemon herb. All flavors are tasty but I liked plain and teriyaki best. It shipped quickly and I received everything in my order. The chicken itself is very flavorful, tender and delicious (tastes like it came right off the grill). I've reheated the chicken on the stove and microwave, both taste great. Very impressed with the quality, ease of ordering, and taste. As a competitive bodybuilder this helps me prep my meals with ease as I do have a busy schedule. Already ordered the 20 pounder and look forward to ordering more!

I’m very picky about chicken - it’s a texture thing and because of that I have rarely eaten it in several years. I decided to give this a shot and was majorly surprised how well it went, I’m eating chicken a few times a week now, it makes meal prep a breeze and cooks perfectly (& quickly) in an air fryer. The flavor choices are also great, and very versatile.

The Barbecue flavor is one of my favs as it has the perfect amount of flavor. I am also addicted to the meatballs, they are delicious. Heating up the chicken has made my meal prepping a breeze!

I’ve ordered from Chicken Pound multiple times and I always love it! I mean it’s a huge life saver, for time and convenience. Comes in like 2 days to my door! No dry, boring chicken. Great product. High price but I’m extremely busy and it makes life easier to have great precooked heathy portions I can just grab and throw in the cooler for the day and head out the door. The plain and balsamic are amazing!!!

The convenience of this alone is worth 5 stars!! Only reason I knocked off a star was there was a few flavors I didn’t find appealing. Especially the barbecue, it tasted like marinara sauce. I highly recommend by the plain and seasoning yourself! This has saved me many hours of cooking.

My top flavors. Plain Any of the bbq. I found the teriyaki, balsamic and cilantro too citrus.. The jerk is too spicy. The Buffalo is yum. For convenience it works but can put a dent in your wallet if you’re too lazy to prep your own chicken… I wish I could figure out how they make their chicken moisture and juicy!

The chicken is great for meal prep. The meatballs used to be a favorite, however the formula and/or packaging changes have dramatically affected the product, tasteless, mealy, and I bit into a few small sharp bone shards in my last order.

$12.62 for grilled chicken nuggets ? Is that supply chain or labor shortage . Tastes most of time dry . Was convenient though. I wont be lazy any more and gonna cook my own .

Just ok… for meal preppers, I guess it saves time but for the money I spent, the chicken should have been the tastiest chicken EVER and it wasn’t. I could buy bulk chicken and prep, season, cook and freeze for about a third of the price. Not the worst I’ve ever tasted but, I could’ve done better myself. Don’t believe the hype.

Been using them for almost two years on and off. Very convenient for meal prep. Each pack came in 2 portions of 8oz hence, ‘chicken pound’. Recently something changed. They stopped using “pounds” to describe their packets and now it’s just quantity. The portions seemed to have way more “marinade” or “juice”. I didn’t think much of it and just kept using it. My wife spits a pack so does 4oz. She mentioned to me to weigh mine as she noticed the portions were closer to 6.5oz, some even as low as 6. Where she got 4 meals out of a packet, she was getting 3. I decided to weigh mine (see pics). When I initially reached out via IG, they ignored me. I asked again with new pictures and was told it’s human error and each packet is roughly 17oz and the chicken should be over 7oz. My wife got the scammed canned messages from an email. Just told they would let quality control know. To me it seems like they’re cutting cost and giving less chicken and more marinade. As you can see, there’s 1.8oz of balsamic. In the past, this wasn’t the case. If this was a packet here and there fine but our whole 10lb order is like this. 20 packets x 1.5oz adds up real quick. I do recommend but be aware that you’re not getting a pound of chicken anymore for the price that the pound used to be

I came in ordering my first 10 pounds with high hopes. The company going on and on about how great it was. I was looking for something to save me just a little time to prepare a meal in 10 minutes. So although skeptical, I gave it a shot. It got to my house on time and I was very excited to try it out. I tried the bbq flavor first. I had gotten 2 of each flavor for more variety. It was good, plain but good. After adding a little Buffalo Wild Wings dry rub on it it was more manageable. The chicken was really dry though, even cooking it to what the instructions said to. I thought l, maybe it’s just the one. So I tried another for another meal, this time the jerk chicken. Definitely was not a fan of this one but I ate em both anyway. Teriyaki was prob my favorite bc I can just put some sauce in it and drown out the dryness on yet another pack of chicken. Every single package I opened from the day I got my order was really dry. It didn’t matter the west in cooked it either, microwave, oven, air fryer or eating it cold. I was disappointed for sure. At least I can say I tried it and now motivates me to prep from home.

Too much char on the chicken. Also hard to freeze since the packaging will fall apart into tiny white balls that get all over the frozen chicken packaging and all into the freezer as well. The beat flavor is the barbecue chicken but there are times when you are biting into pure char which was huge turn off for me.

For convenience it’s fine. I use a local meal prep service but thought ordering a month at a time would be less hassle. The cost comes out the same and this chicken it’s substantially drier. Very expensive for the quality and wouldn’t order again.

I've been using chicken pound for 8 months. In my recent order they changed the packaging and the recipe for the plain chicken. It used seem grilled (with grill marks and all). Now it looks and tastes BOILED. It's over seasoned with pepper to make up for the new style and it's terrible. I immediately canceled which is disappointing to say the least. I've had a good quality product for so long, but not anymore.

Purchased chicken pound for the first time last week. I’ve had the BBQ and Teriyaki flavors. Let’s just say that both are underwhelming. I’ve had to take my own seasonings and flavors to repurpose the chicken. The idea of convenience is great, but the product is not very palatable.

Okay, I will give it two stars. I tried the instructions as it stated to heat the product, but this Chicken does not look healthy, is chewy as gum, and tastes funky and full of preservatives. It is one dollar less than whole food per lb, so I instead get their freshly made Chicken. I reached out to customer support(Leah), and this is what they replied lol" Thank you so much for expressing your opinion to us about our product. Again, I apologize that you were not happy with the taste of our Chicken this time around. If there is anything else I can assist you with, please do not hesitate to reach out." and no action. No place for bad business and bad Chicken. I wouldn't recommend this but again make your own choice. Doesn't taste like fresh Chicken.

I've been with this company since the beginning, and unfortunately, they've been going downhill. -Not getting your full order. -Chicken is often undercooked. -Shipping says its shipped but doesn't ship, and then u have to contact them. -Contacting them used to be easy, now when u have a problem, you have to message or call them 100 times to get ahold of someone. It's getting old, Do better.

I have been buying chicken pound for awhile and have a subscription but this last order chicken pound made the decision to replace my 2-Teriyaki without notifying me and will not provide a refund or replacement of the missing 2-Teriyaki. The customer service at chicken pound by Leah is unacceptable and they should not be replacing ordered items without authorization!

I’ve been using this service for years. Throughout the years, the quality of the chicken has been decreasing. As a recurrent customer. I am looking for an alternative places to get my chicken because even when I reached out to her customer service and voiced my concern, there was no action taken, and I didn’t feel like my voice was heard

Ordered 1 of each flavor, the chicken was extremely dry and the sauces aren’t very tasty.

Honestly very sad this place has gone downhill in quality. Chicken has a lot of rubbery pieces with connective tissue not removed. The flavors are great, great marinades and service, just really bad quality meat. Hoping they can do better

Just received this email from them. I had complained to them about this before. "After extensive study and research, our team has concluded that the dry ice used in transit can sometimes cause the release of the vacuum seal on our packaging. Since there is no possible way for us to prevent this from happening, we unfortunately cannot/will not extend credits or refunds simply due to loosely vacuumed packages. We can assure you that the integrity of our product is not immediately affected by this, and does not always happen. In the event that it does, however, we suggest you use those packages first, in order to avoid freezer burn. We thank you for your ongoing support and continued business." When you thaw, per their directions, the opened packages make a huge mess and it's not sanitary.

The chicken is dry like rubber erasers even cooking it less than what it says on the instructions. Flavors are mid. Very expensive for what you get. I will not be buying from them again

Didn’t live up to the hype. Just your normal dry chicken. Be careful some pieces are still pink in the middle. The more I eat, the worst it gets. Not worth it in my opinion

When my chicken arrived the ice was completely gone and chicken was not very cold at all, I place one bag of KC BBQ in fridge, rest in the freezer. First 2 bags of KC BBQ were pretty good but everything since has been awful (probably gonna throw it out). What I get for over paying for chicken I suppose.

I have been using Chicken Pound for meal prep for over a year now. The quality was great, but as of 3 months ago the quality has gone downhill. They have added a ton of juice/broth to the chicken and the chicken is now very soggy and the taste is atrocious. It's a shame that they clearly skimped on quality to increase their margins while they increased shipping costs. Will be finding meal prep service elsewhere.

They shrink-flated and have about 25% less chicken in each package. They make up the weight with liquid. I have been very happy until now, even having automatic shipments, but will find elsewhere to buy chicken from now on.

This chicken is great… if you like chewing on cardboard! No matter which flavor I tried or how I cooked it (oven, air fry, microwave) it comes out dry. Love the protein, but if I need to choke it down, I won’t order this again. One and done!

Terrible. Overpriced chicken that taste pretty bad, advertised by sponsored athletes. I purchased in 2018 and it was completely different, now they short you on chicken, and it’s almost $90 for 5 pounds of chicken. Insane Response: your product has gone down hill, advertising a product that not even what you send to customers is pretty pathetic. I also love the fact that you ignored the mention of shorting people with chicken you ship out. But your lose not mine.

TL;DR: Their shipping is unpredictable, and their customer support is beyond unhelpful and rude. Do not buy. Their shipping timeframe is unpredictable. The website implies that orders placed after Wednesday are shipped on Monday. Reality: Order on Friday, the package ships Tuesday, and arrives on Thursday. If it had arrived at any time earlier, I would have been home to receive the package, so I would either have rescheduled the delivery or let it sit on my doorstep for three days in the 100°F heat. UPS then reschedules again for Monday. The package sat on the truck all weekend. Arrived, and the contents are well above safe temperatures. Email customer service with photos, and they deny any responsibility. Now I'm out the price of the 5 lb pack because they couldn't give me an estimated delivery date like every other online merchant, and unexpectedly backed up shipping the order by an extra day. Additionally, their customer service representative (Leah B.) accused me of lying in their response and chose to argue with me in addition to refusing any remedy. Inferior customer service and downright rude people. I'm not only disappointed, but I'm angry. Spend your money elsewhere.

Will not order again. When I received my order most of the packages were defrosted no big deal. I defrosted one in the fridge overnight both packages were leaking . I checked the ones in the freezer most of the lost the seal and formed ice crystals on all but one . Contacted the company told me it was normal . Ate some and my stomach was a wreaked for 3 days . Wasted over $100 on this. Never again.

I used to love the chicken lb. Many different flavors, and delicious chicken for a good price. That has changed. My most recent order, i ended up throwing it all away. It looks like mush, mashed potatoes with extra gravy kinda, my sister described it as a bag of throw up. The chicken meatballs tho are still good which is why i gave the food 2 stars instead of 1. Take a look at these unsatisfying pictures before you place your next order so you don't waste $125 like i did. Maybe i got a bad shipment, maybe it was old chicken, whatever it was, the word GROSS sums it up.

Ordered 10lb package with 2lbs of each flavor. In all fairness, the ease of ordering, shipping, communication and speed of delivery were as advertised and very good. I am not a fan of the first 2 flavors I have tried and the chicken was over cooked and rubbery. I followed the heating instructions and the chicken was borderline tough. The flavors were Balsamic and the BBQ. I was willing to pay for the convenience, but am disappointed with the product and my order. I can't speak to all other reviews of customers enjoying their orders.....my experience is not acceptable thus far.

Been using them for years without a problem. last shipment of 20 lbs came and 17 of the pounds were not vacuum sealed as usual and filling with frost bite in the freezer. They are also leaking in the fridge when i thaw them out. customer service asked for pictures which i sent. heard nothing for a week so i got back to them and they said they are fine. they are not fine and will no longer be ordering. all correspondence was done on text with number ending in 4997

The price is outrageous. I can go buy 5.5 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breast for $12. I'll grill and sauce it myself before I spend $65 for 5lbs. For $60 I can get 27.5 pounds of the same thing and still have $5 left for sauce. In response to the below. I'm not sure why you're assuming I haven't tried your product. When it comes to taste or texture, to each their own. Everyone has a different flavor and texture palette. If I don't like your sauce, oh well the next person might. As far a price goes, I can afford your product. I won't purchase it because I don't feel it's worth it. Also, using your numbers of 5lbs raw equals 3lbs cooked. Um....that means I'm still getting roughly 17lbs of cooked chicken for $60. I'm sure you have hundreds of people buying your product for the convince of it. Good for them and you as a business owner. My review is on the price of your product. I appreciate the response. Even though it was based on assumptions.

DO NOT ORDER FROM CHICKEN POUND PRODUCT ARRIVED UNDERCOOKED. Some of the chicken arrived raw/undercooked which surprised me as the selling point of the product is it is pre-prepared. I emailed their customer service to let them know as I thought there might be an issue with one of the batches as raw chicken possess a serious health risk if consumed. Their response was extremely rude and simply said while they advertise the chicken as fully cooked it is not always fully cooked and the packaging says you should cook the chicken yourself before consuming. They false advertise the chicken as fully cooked and are putting people at risk of serious disease. I ordered this chicken as the perfect option for post training food in a pre-portioned and ready to go format. It is non of these things and above all dangerous.

In the beginning they were great, I use them from time to time but recently I’ve been weighing each chicken pack precisely and they’re under weight. A lot of it is inconsistent, and they raised their prices. Doesn’t add up, raising prices but not giving me the actual amount of Oz of chicken listed on the bag… now I have to find a new prep company unfortunately.
