This is our go to spot for Korean food in this area. Their panchan is delicious and plentiful. Great place for vegetarian Korean food. Flavors are on point.

Everything is solidly delicious here but the star of the show are their wings. Even after delivery and probably 30-45 minutes after being made they are outstanding.

A big shoutout to Jay, who was working Monday afternoon. He went above and beyond to help us — super friendly, patient, and genuinely kind. He was especially sweet with my son and made the whole experience so positive. You can tell he really cares about people. We’ll definitely be coming back because of him. Thanks, Jay!

Lots of options, all the things I’ve tried across multiple visits have been delicious! The sides are amazing, free refills. The staff are very friendly and attentive. My go to is the foot bibimbap. Love the tofu soup as well.

A good Korean restaurant in Albany, close to Berkeley in a safe neighborhood. What more could you ask for? The banchan is plentiful and fresh (especially the kimchi). The food is on the sweeter side and not as spicy as similar Korean restaurants and that’s okay. It is what makes it special and unique. I would recommend going one level up of spice level to what you’re normally accustomed to. Portions are big, so I’d recommend sharing family style and expect to take leftovers home.

Fantastic First Experience with Korean Cuisine! This was my first time trying Korean food, and as a vegetarian, I was quite skeptical. However, I decided to give it a shot and chose this place—and I’m so glad I did! The dishes were absolutely amazing. The kimchi fried rice and kimbap were beyond delicious—so flavorful that it’s hard to put into words how much I enjoyed them. I was thrilled to find vegetarian and vegan options with no meat or egg, making it a perfect choice for plant-based eaters like me. We also tried the tofu stew, which was decent, though it didn’t quite match the other dishes’ wow factor. Overall, a delightful experience that exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be back to explore more vegetarian-friendly options!

Food is delicious. Got a hot spicy pork belly bibimbop with mixed grains. Unbelievably yummy, although careful with the hot bowl! You also get soup and small dishes (like tofu) with the food. Service was great. They were quick, efficient, and considerate staff! The inside aesthetic is relaxing, my only complaint it the floor is SLIPPERY. Just the floor material makes it hard to grip in certain shoes (I do not recommend heels here!) Overall amazing spot!

Bowl'd has several locations in the Bay Area, my wife and I used to go to Alameda location and the Oakland Location a lot before it closed. We've found their food to be pretty good. While the past few years we have mainly gotten take-out/Doordash, more recently we went in person and it didn't disappoint. We usually get the glazed potatoes and the beef short ribs (gal-bi), both came out hot/smoking off the grill/stove and were really good. That time we also had a spicy ramen which was good for sharing. While takeout/Doordash gets the job done, some of these items are much better dining in and when they're fresh off the stove.

Honestly I just realized, I forgot to review my favorite Korean restaurant in the bay. They just really make my 김치찌개 Kimchijjiggae differently.. I could say it taste like how my grandma used to make it. Their staff is really nice, Portions are great. Must try their seafood pancake and or Mungbean pancake. Even their chicken is great ❤️

Please try the bibimbap - it has a great variety of veggies in it which makes the the taste very refreshing. The spicy beef brisket noodle soup is also pretty good. Overall, it is a little bit pricy(I guess most Korean restaurants are kind of pricy), but this one is probably one of the best and most authentic Korean restaurants I have ever tried around here.

Delivery took a while. But the food is good. Buckwheat noodles, spicy spicy kimchi fried rice (more likely gochuchang), and kids meals with no spice. Various dumplings, tofu dipped in egg is delicious, and a large and variable menu.

This used to be one my favorite Korean restaurant, but I ate here too much, so I decided to give it a break. That break lasted several year. A few days ago, my friend decided to come here for dinner, and everything still taste like I remembered. Everything is still the same, including the tree in the middle and the wall decor. My only complain was that we stood by the entrance for like 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, then it took another 10 for us to be seated. There was nobody in front of us in case you were wondering. However, if you look pass the wait time, this place is still one of the better Korean restaurants around area.

Haven’t been to this place for a long time. They renovated the entire restaurant and seating spaces are not crowded as before. Food quality is good and I love they always have variety of vegetables in the sushi roll and also buckwheat noodle salad. They provide variety of side dishes too. Good service and friendly staff too :) The special multi grain drink is also a traditional Korean drink which I do not find in other restaurant.

We got kimchi pancakes, kimchi fried rice and curry Ramen. Good vegetarian options here.. The first two dishes were top notch. But the Ramen was boiling hot. Bubbles on the top.. no kidding I had to wait 30 mins to take my first bite. Loved the service. It was quick and simple. They don't shy away with condiments.

Pretty good Korean restaurant near UC Berkeley. We took our God daughter who is a freshman at UC Berkeley, out for lunch. We found this restaurant on Yelp with good reviews. Since our God daughter likes spicy food, we ordered a few spicy Korean food. She seemed to enjoyed the soft tofu with beef in medium spicy soup. We tried the Chopchae and it was delicious. We also had BBQ pork belly and it was tasty. Another good dish we ordered was the Kimchi pancake. It’s similar to the Chinese onion pan cake. They did a good job on this one. All dishes came with rice and a few small sides like kimchi and seaweed. We chose the brown rice. You can also get the regular white rice to go with the food. Prices are reasonable at around $12-15 each dish. The service was good and the food came out pretty fast. Parking is on street with two hour limit.

Strong contender in the local bibimbap and Korean bulgogi Field, the food here tastes fresh, and whereas they don't have as wide a compliment of side dishes as some Korean places, they still have a nice selection. I ordered the bulgogi in the hot bowl, and everything was really good. I would give this a five-star review, except the cushions that people sit on in this restaurant need to be replaced ASAP. Their lumpy, have springs sticking out of them, and are overall, uncomfortable. The food here, however, is fresh, and delicious.

The food was great!! The service not so much. I took my four gbabies here for lunch. We were seated right away. After our order was taken and our food brought to us our server pretty much forgot about us. I had to go and get an additional cup (there were 4 at the table but 5 of us) and my granddaughter had to go get more water. When I told one of the servers that our server had not checked on us at all he looked at me, shrugged his shoulders and said "oh". Seriously??? If the food wasn't so good and if my grandson hadn't insisted, I wouldn't have leave a tip. Which is why I'm leaving a 3 star review.

It's a casual Korean bbq place famous for rice bowl and bibimbop. Service is OK with minimal interaction. Good for kids, seniors, groups and meetup. Parking may be challenging with free street spots.

Food was terrible. Got the chicken katsu and it was meant to have chicken schnitzel in it but the 5 bits of chicken and lots of cabbage and rice. Was play find the chicken and at 16.90 it wasn't cheap. Not even much sauce. Won't be back. Hate being ripped off
