Iron Coffee Co. Albany Reviews
Great location, on bus line! Parking is touchy but when available so convenient! Great customer service small and cozy shop smells amazing! If you like the coffee smell! Clean, & orderly great selection on drinks. Merchandise can be purchased at this location and tips are welcomed!
Local, small business. Great espresso, awesome branding/merch. This Albany location is small, offering a grab and go option. Currently no indoor seating, there is limited outdoor seating (Fall 2021). Highly recommend stopping for a cappuccino or dirty chai (dirty hippie). Dog friendly!
While walking in Albany on a lovely warm October day, I treated myself to a delicious iced latte from Iron Coffee. Loved the outdoor seating!
Cute little coffee shop. Only seating outside. I had a dirty hippie. Always wanted to try one and it was delish!! They roast their own at their larger location. This is like a small satellite.

Wow! Got a simple oat milk latte and I was blown away by the quality of it.
Whenever I go to a coffee place, I always get a iced chai latte. I just love chai, even tho that’s a tea and not coffee. Anyways, I was pleasantly surprised by how good my chai was at this place. Usually it’s a hit or miss since most coffee shops, obviously focus more on their brews. So I wasn’t expecting anything special, but I was blown away by the taste. They add cinnamon too which I really love. The server was super nice and fun to chat with. Only downside is that this place is very small, with no indoor seating so you’ll have to get your order to go or sit outside at the tables.
Favorite spot to get coffee in the capital region. The staff are always so kind and friendly and they make great coffees of all varieties. Highly recommend!
The beans are expertly roasted in-house, and the minimalist, industrial vibe makes it the perfect spot to focus or fuel up.
I came in right before closing and the lady turned the machine back on to make me a delicious ice caramel latte!! She was very gracious and I appreciate it a lot :)
Mocha was really good! Had 3 different sizes. Had to work remote from shop but no sitting inside space only outside. barista was very accommodating and allowed me to plug in my laptop sitting outside while powered inside leaving the door open.
Best place to get a coffee in Albany. I love their Mocha. Try with extra chocolate if you like it sweet, the BEST.
They have really good and strong lattes. The price is VERY reasonable. Stop by , you will not be disappointed. It is small in there . But that’s ok.
Clerk was super nice and the stuff is delish, it is a lil cramp but they can’t control that
Love the cappuccino. Got three over the last days. This might just be my new favorite take-out coffee place for when I'm in the area.
Coffee (Maple Latte) and tall Chai Both were excellent. Small shop in and out . No food (yet?). But if you got the coffee bug biting kool shop !
The espresso was excellent, and it’s rare to find such quality. The barista mentioned they roast all their own beans, so I picked up a bag of the Brazil to take home. I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re traveling through Albany or live nearby!

Very small, fast serviced coffee spot. Seems to have good local support. I got an iced mocha that had good strength but way too bitter for my liking.

I love going here, the service is usually good, and the quality of the products being sold are excellent. My only complaint is that about 30% of the time my matcha latte has had clumps of undissolved matcha in it.

Small but clean with a steampunk meets industrial decor. The 4 coffee types offered was roasted in house. The care of the craft of making a perfect cup of coffee or coffee drink was not here. The barrista casually ground espresso beans (that were a little burnt in taste) and didn't not check weight to ensure the best espresso. The way the shop is situated you can not see what the espresso looked like so I am not sure if there was a creama or not but by the taste I doubt it. It was more heavy and darker. We also ordered a pour over again nothing was weighed and the water was poured in all at once making the pour over flat and one dimensional in taste. This place is fine for most coffee drinkers. But if you have a more refined coffee palette and are looking for coffee with dimension and depth of flavor notes this is not where you want to go.

Very inconsistent quality. The girl there made my matcha latte pretty much undrinkable, didn't dissolve the matcha at all. The only good barista there is the guy.
I could be mistaken, but prices were not posted for some reason and the "cold brew" tasted like burn coffee, which isn't what cold brew should taste like. For almost 5 dollars this place is another hipster rip off, plus the individual at the register was not friendly at all, I present a respectful approach wherever I go and these hipsters keep proving they're some of the rudest people around.
