Just ordered a delivery from here and I'm seriously impressed! The pizza was fantastic! I especially like their Mediterranean Pizza. Way better than any chain pizza I've ever had, and I've tried them all. Even better than most, if not all local pizza places in Albany. The delivery guy was extremely nice as well, and gave me a great coupon for running just a tad late (still a shorter amount of time than local pizza places). Definitely my new go-to place for pizza.

Shockingly good pizza at a good price and fast and open late! Thank you Papa John's for accomodating those of us who do not dine before 9 to 10 pm! I frequent the one across from St. Peter's hospital in Albany.

I recently ordered a pizza from Papa Johns in Albany just before I sat down to watch the football game. Delivery of the pizza was on time and was extremely delicious. Moreover that garlic sauce is awesome. Its the best pizza i have eaten so far. In Albany, I can depend on Papa Johns every-time! You will feel like you are in Pizza heaven.

Typical chain pizza place. I haven't had Papa John's in years. Ordered stuffed crust pepperoni pizza and wings. Both were good, zero complaints. Service inside the store a little slow to cash you out but not the end of the world. I'd only recommend ordering on the website/app to make use of the daily deals to make it more affordable. Overall, great experience and I'll be back.

Our pizza order was ready for pickup when I arrived. I find their pizza to be mostly on par with domino's and pizza hut albeit a slightly more expensive pizza. There is no dine in option at this location and also does not have its own parking lot.

Food was ok and asked to fill out a tip form on receipt for take out in a pushy manner. Delivery I would absolutely tip but i drove 25 minutes there and back to pick up.

Generally good deals and pizza, but their delivery range is not good, considering they only have one location. If I want anything I have to go through Uber Eats, which can get expensive. When I called to inquire about delivery, I got transferred to another, closer, location (supposedly), only to get put on hold and told the same thing, but now instead of Uber Eats, I am being told to use Grubhub.

Car has to be parked at adjacent lane and be careful of your car and don’t leave it turned on while away. Usually takeaway order takes 8-10 mins but it took 25 mins for me as the order got messed up. Got a free pizza though for the wait 😄

The quality of food is very good but it's not what you pay for. The prices are higher compared to local businesses. The worst part of this specific place is the waiting time during pick up, yes, pick up. We ordered online e and I had to wait almost 10 minutes to get someone in front desk to give me my order, and guess what, the guy gave me the wrong one. I figured that out after checking it. Well, I think they need to hire two or three more employees if they need this business to keep running.

First time eating at any Papa Johns. This location was clean, staff was polite and efficient. However not a fan of the pizza sauce, which I'm sure is premade and shipped rather than made in the shop.

Haven't had a pizza from papa John's in so long its 12am right now and I saw it under grub hub and had to order some carry out. Love the garlic butter, thought all these chains closed down in Albany region. So happy I ordered this! Mmm

The pizza tasted really good. My wife has been looking for PA PA John's for a while and we just recently moved closer to one. This is on New Scotland ave across from the hospital. But can't hope to kind of lose your appetite when the person making the pizzas and also running the register comes up with his mask down around his chin. And a mouthful of chewing tobacco with Brown all the way around his lips and hanging out of his mouth. I couldn't help but wonder how much chew Ended up falling in our pizza. The mask around his chin par I didn't care about. But the chewing tobacco is definitely concerning how an establishment especially as famous and well known as PA PA John's would allow somebody making pizza or even working in the kitchen tapped chewing tobacco in their mouth. Pretty disgusting message

The food was ordered for someone else and they had no complaints however, when I walked in there was an everyone must wear masks sign on the wall. All the customers in there at the time where wearing masks but the man behind the desk taking my order as well as the person preparing and packaging the pizzas were not. On top of it the man taking orders was coughing and not sanitizing or anything else. It was very off putting to be honest.

The shop is small and high volume I had to wait extra time for my pizza even though I call 30 mins ahead of time and the pizza was ok at best it needed more sauce and the mushrooms I got on it weren't that many and they were kind of dry they have alot of orders come in so I get it but it would be nice if they had my food ready appon arrival

Pizza looked great but then I ate it and not even 2 hours past before I was throwing up with very bad diarrhea. Tell your employees to wash their hands. I got food poisoning and it's terrible, I never leave bad reviews but this is important: please have them wash their hands and make sure they are doing so.

The person at the counter had a problem with honoring a rewards card for a free pizza, and had to be argued with before he accepted it. He was rude and discourteous, and if it wasn't the closest Papa John's to my home and my family didn't like it so much, I would NOT go back.

The pizza that we got was no where the size it should have been. And the pepperoni tasted old. I go there alot and it is usually good but I am thinking maybe not no more

Got my family’s order wrong. Called to ask if we could get the right order, they put us on hold for 10 minutes. Called again, 15 minutes on hold again. Called a third time, asked to speak to someone about this situation, person on phone said the manager would call us back in 10 minutes. It’s been a little over an hour now. Feel bad leaving only 2 stars, since the food was actually really good. Customer service, not so great.

When I got there to pickup my order, they didn’t help for about 10 minutes. Then helped someone who got there after me. No one was wearing gloves, even when they were grabbing the cheese to put on the pizza. I also got gluten free due to an allergy that didn’t seem to actually be gluten free as I got sick.

First time I was there, it was a decent experience. The second time (which was the latest) was much more miserable. Only one guy was on staff and he seemed completely overwhelmed by the amount of orders the store received. My order said it was completed on the order tracker but low and behold- it wasn’t even started. I waited an additional 20 minutes in the store while the sole worker threw my order together. I realize it wasn’t his fault as he was by himself, but it’s unacceptable to show orders as ready for pickup when they aren’t even started. Overall it was a pretty terrible experience and I wish the guy didn’t handle cash with the same gloves he used to handle the food.

Went to pick up food late night, literally stood there with 4-5 other guys who were also not greeted for God knows how long. The guy at the register kept standing there and talking to his co-workers without even a hello or acknowledgement to the customers waiting. Finally someone else walked up (after 10-15 minutes) and told everyone "all of your orders are going to come out in 5 minutes." I ordered on GrubHub so I had to ask around to see where my food was and guess what? It was ready sitting on the pass. Maybe if someone greeted customers, my food wouldn't sit and get cold. Oh and the food. Waste of money and time.

Workers are very rude here they don’t greet you. I was there for a pick up. They never asked me what I need just standing there while my food was already ready to be picked up. I watch the lady wipe Sweat from her face deal with money and register and went straight back To prepping the doe Never washed her hands I do not recommend going to this place. They’re nasty and very bad attitude.

I ordered on the Papa John’s app a Shaq pizza as a curbside order and when I got there and called, they said they don’t do curbside with a rude attitude. Whatever, I go and find a parking spot and went to grab my pizza and the place reeked really bad. The guy upfront was really nice and handed me the pizza. When I got home, I realized they never even sliced it! Definitely not the best Papa John’s location.

I rarly get Papa John's since moving back up North. I was happy to discover this place was here, then I ordered, the experience went down hill from there! Kid answering phone barly spoke English, I had to repeat order maybe 4 times (order still ended up wrong). When I got there to pick up, my wife said she wanted a 2 liter of soda, kid said it was almost 6 dollars for a 2 liter of Orange soda!!! I know its avvtourist area, but that kind of rip off is rediculous!

Ordered at 5 o clock this evening and still has not arrived. The tracking app said it should be here between 5:35 and 5:45. It is now 6:06 WHERE IS MY FOOD? When I checked the app it now says 6:00. When I called the restaurant 1 ring then the phone hangs up. What the hell. WILL NOT BE ORDERING AGAIN.

I just placed an order from them for a simple CHEESE PIZZA ( doesn’t take much brains to make) and they said the time needed for delivery would be about 30-45 minutes, which is fine. However, I just called for an update OVER A HALF HOUR LATER and they said they would need another 20 minutes unreal!!!! You guys are a fast food place and I could have called any legit pizza place and my cheese pie would have been done in 30 minutes not almost an hour later. And not to mention when I called them the “manager” said she’s too busy to talk to me because she has 6 other customers so much for customer loyalty. Also apparently was received a coupon for 20% off and my cheese pie was $20 WHAT A JOKE AND A HALF. This place is horrible avoid at all cost . ( September 8th 3:39 am)

Terrible experience from the shop on New Scotland Ave! Wrong order to start off with, then when I call to have the pizza taken back and remade, the staff member I spoke to told me specifically to keep the pizza and they will send a new one out right away. Pretty cool right? But being as it was the wrong order, I didn’t even attempt because it wasn’t my order at all! Not even close to what I ordered. An hour passes, and I make another phone call and my reorder was not even made. The staff had no idea what I was talking about. No name was given (yes, thats on my part. I shouldve asked for a name) so I had no way to detail whom I spoke to. Night ruined. Wish it never happened.. I WAS a fan of Papa Johns Pizza.

I thought my encounters with incompetent employees were over until I walked into Papa John's to find, unsurprisingly, no one in sight. 5 mintues deep into problem solving I notice my order right behind the counter, prepaid for all I need is someone to hand it to me. I grabbed my soda so the door can slam after in a failed attempt at attracting attention. Going on 9 mintues of inner debate as to the psychological and economical reasons for an empty store, I lean over the counter to see if anyone is in the blindspot. Of course there was. First time I say excuse me the person was unresponsive, head tilted down pretending they don't know I'm there. Classic illusion of being busy. The second excuse me carried more weight, leading to eye contact, I followed up by asking for the order while refraining any comment about how it would take less than 15 seconds or burn less than 5 calories to complete. They responded with "I said I'll be over there in a minute." Interesting. Me, understanding how this environment works; I grabbed my order and walked out.

Orderded and had delivered 2 pizzas, garlic knots and a Pepsi. They sent 2 burnt pizzas, burnt garlic knots, and a beautifully cold Pepsi. I think that the Pepsi was cold becauss it was 5 degrees outside. I completed the survey hoping that I would receive a call. No call. Nothing. Bad business and papa John's has lost a customer forever. Horrible to think what they sent me was acceptable. I have teenage boys who eat everything....they wouldn't even touch it. Gave me the wrong order, then told me that they couldn't give me my correct order and didn't want to give me my money back, just credit even though I paid for my food. I hate delivery and there responsibility. They called me when they were not here yet so I went outside and they made me wait for half an hour outside for this delivery. I ordered a pizza for pick up and I was waiting patiently for about 20 mins so I ask how long for my order because it’s getting kinda long now & Then this lady who wears headphones on the job gave me the worst attitude ever for no reason. I placed an order online and arrived at 6:50PM. It requested I be there between 6:40-6:50PM. I was greeted by a nice lady at the front - who spoke to a gentleman in the back - who said it would be right up. 25 minutes later still no pizza. I asked when it will be ready (because I’ve been waiting 25 minutes) and the gentleman said 3 more minutes. 5 minutes later I walked out. Beyond the fact that I sat for 25 minutes (while other pickup orders were doled out in front me immediately as they walked in) - the building and employees are unhygienic! The longer I sat there looking around at the very dirty building and employees - it became clear this was not food I wanted to consume. 🤢🤮

It's been over 3yrs since I have ordered from there and it was a terrible experience. I called for pick up and told my total was 20$+. Ordered garlic knots or something and a small sausage pizza. Upon arriving and paying this lazy boy gave me what looked like a personal frozen pizza. Definitely was NOT fresh made. I complained and got a credit that I never used. Awful...they messed up my order awhile ago and told me that they would give me 2 free medium pizzas for the future for their mistake. I said thank you. I called today to order my two free pizzas and the guy on the line talked with the manager and said I had to order online in order to get my pizzas. I said I don't have access to do that and I always order my food over the phone so I should not have to order the free pizzas over the internet. This was not told to me when they mentioned I get these for my inconsiderate and their mistake. The guy said that's what my manager said. I said then forget it and tell your manager I said that n I will never order from them again I told him to tell the manager. Very upsetting since for the last three yrs I ordered from them. 1 Star because I cannot give 0 star. Terrible service. Even Terrible Delivery. Everyone of us understand that mistake happens and that’s okay. But how many times will I have to suffer for their mistake. I nearly order from these guys fortnightly and almost every other order is messed up. Sometimes burnt pizza. Sometimes wrong order. Sometimes it just taste different, don’t know why. Also, when you call them letting them know that they have messed up your order, they are not even sorry about it. Instead they sound rude. Discontinuing my forthrightly order.

Soggy greasy pizza that completely flopped over as soon as I removed a slice. Cheap on the sauce that I literally paid extra to have. Took forever to make the pizza as well. Again this was at like 1am on a Monday morning. So I doubt it was that busy for a single pizza.

Ordered via Grub Hub to be delivered to Albany Medical. They said ordered was left but never received it. Either the food was stolen or it wasn’t delivered. Contacted Grub Hub about concern, personally spoke with driver 2nd time about delivery. The food was successfully gotten this time but per Security Guard, the delivery driver just threw the boxes of food on the ground near the Security Guard area.

Got my order wrong, put me on hold for 15 Min. Called back, put me on hold for 10 min. Called a third time, person told me the manager would call me back in ten minutes. That was over an hour ago. I paid $63 for three small pizzas. Clearly they don’t care about their customers, and fill a $63 order with three small pies without batting an eye. Order at your own risk.

I had ordered a large, NY Style Pizza with Buffalo Wings for delivery— This pizza vendor gave me six slices of extremely thin pizza— without my wings & it cost me 30 dollars. I will never order from PaPa John’s again.

This Papa Johns takes forever to prepare food. I ordered for pickup and they told me "15-20 minutes," but I ended up waiting almost 45 minutes in the store. No one bothers to let you know it's running late. On top of that, the staff attitude is terrible. When I finally asked how much longer, the person at the counter was super rude and acted like I was bothering them by asking a normal question. Zero customer service, zero communication. Food was okay once I got it, but the long unnecessary wait + bad staff attitude ruined the whole experience. Won't be coming back to this location.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I ordered delivery through Uber Eats, and this Papa Johns location completely held my food hostage. They refused to hand the order to the assigned driver simply because the driver did not have a hot bag. I explicitly told them I did not care about the bag and just wanted my food. Instead of using common sense, the staff refused the driver, ignored my phone calls to cancel the order, and left my delivery in limbo. Because of their stubbornness, the app would not process a refund, and I was left dealing with an automated support wall. Absolutely terrible customer service and a completely broken process. Do not order from here if you actually want your food.

Unfortunately, it was a very bad experience. I bought food from this restaurant, and immediately after eating it, I felt severe nausea, which then developed into a strong allergic reaction that required me to go to the hospital for treatment. This is a dangerous and worrying experience, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone else. Based on what happened to me, I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I hope the management will seriously review their hygiene and food safety standards.

Driver showed up with the wrong order. I called the store because the driver claimed I would have a credit for $31.88 in my account. I called the store 4 times in 4 minutes to speak to a manager, he hung up the phone each time and just kept saying hello, hello, hello, pretending he couldn't hear me. I will continue to keep calling the store to get a refund. I will be calling my bank and will be calling corporate and reporting this location (See attached photos) 1. What I ordered 2. Worst Papa John's ever. First off the manger need to learn to let people speak and not talk over them. Second he needs to learn that computers and phones dont lie. I had place and order for an Ultimate Pepperoni Pizza, it came without pepperoni. The manger told me I removed it from the order which I didn't. I showed them a picture of the pizza and the recipe. Then he told me I was lying and faked the receipt. Needless to say the receipt says nothing about removing the pepperoni. I have submitted the photo evidence and the recorded phone to corporate.

I will absolutely never have anything to do with Papa John's ever again. First of all, charging $60 for 2 pizzas, a handful of chicken nuggets, and a cookie is extortion. Second, when ordering online, the tip was MANDATORY! How about YOU pay the employee from the inflated price you charged me! Then, I waited 45 mins from the time the little tracker told me my order was "out for delivery" before I went back up to my apartment to ask what was taking so long to deliver when the driving distance was less than 10 mins. You know they have problems when you call and the ai says "press 5 to speak with manager". When they answered, I was told to hold and then HUNG UP ON! I called back immediately and explained that I was hung up on. The employee told me no, they didn't hang up, they placed me on hold, and immediately put me on hold!! I hung up, grabbed my keys, and proceeded to drive there to speak with the manager face-to-face. When I got in my car, the delivery driver called to ask why I wasn't at the door. I told them about the situation and that I was declining delivery due to how badly I was being treated and to take the pizzas back before ending the call so I could drive. The driver immediately called me back and began arguing with me, to which I replied that they needed to take it up with the manager because I was furious, then hung up and blocked the number. I drove to the restaurant in less than 10 mins while stopping at lights and walked in. There were 4 employees visible, and the one person at the counter was noticeably swamped (it was Friday night after all). A lady walked in right behind me. As soon as the employee finished simultaneously helping the 2 different customers at the counter, the lady stepped passed me and began her transaction. Not one word of acknowledgment from the employee that she cut the line and I should have been served first! Way to not stand up for your customer. When it was finally my turn I asked to speak to the manager and the employee identified themselves as the manager, but never gave me a name. I explained the situation, that I was angry at being hung up on, and requested a refund. The manager stated that they did not hang up on me (to which I advised that I know what it sounds like to be hung up on and my phone doesn't record an ended call when placed in hold) before processing my refund. By the end, I was so disgusted with rage at having been put through that, I couldn't even think about eating pizza so I went and got a tikka for myself and bought pizza elsewhere for the family. I get that it's a franchise and they aren't all like that. But here's the thing: In the USA, the ONLY thing that matters is the dollar. That much is the most evident truth in society today. The most powerful tool a consumer has is the choice in who they give their dollars to. In this case, Papa John's more than proved it is not worthy of my dollar. Update: I also reached out to Papa John's customer service online and left a survey requesting for someone to promptly contact me to discuss the situation. It's been over 3 weeks, and they have yet to contact me in any way. In my mind, that just confirms that they do not care about their customers at all.

They need to clean it up! See rodents going in an out the doors at night they have to know about it! I came in to order but changed my mind fast and as leaving the employees yelling at a doordasher trying to make him confirm a receipt! And that is not how it works. I know as a dasher u can't confirm till the actual order is in hand! Not a paper receipt? Dasher don't work for restaurants an merchants they work for door dash! I agree with the door dasher and employees need to be more professional handling situations! We'll the dasher did what was expected and declined to take that order and moved on to the next restaurant as he should! Ur loss papa John's clean it up!

Tried ordering a pizza and they told me about some deals. I went ahead and chose one of the deals and they tried to upsell me . I didn’t mind that since that’s normals. But when I said no thank you I just want my pizza and drink. They got an attitude and told me the deal was no longer available. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. I won’t be ordering from them again.

As you can see boxes are on the floor. In the New York health department not allowed anything in floor. Dirty boxes than they put pizza inside the box. It is not healthy. Employee’s wears very dirty tshirt they don’t used gloves when they doing pizza.

I ordered a Philly cheesesteak papadia and they put NONE of the ingredients in it. No meat. No peppers. No onions. It arrived with a label saying it would have those ingredients but it’s literally just cheese in there. My brother bought us the food on DoorDash and he feels pretty bad about how badly messed up my order was.
