PJ's Pizzeria Albany Reviews
PJ'S is one of the oldest pizzerias in Albany. The sauce is out of this world. They also serve hot Italian subs. My family visits once a week!
When I lived in Albany I use to order here a lot,,I honestly love pj's pizza,,the cheese and sauce and crust are perfect,,I live in Schenectady now and nothing measures up to pj's here
PJ's is an INSTANT CLASSIC. Food is delicious. It doesn't matter what you order, it's going to be good. Call in your order, they can get really busy at times.
Amazing pizza and mozzarella sticks! They were busy and I still got my order very fast and they were very polite and did everything correct as a requested. Thanks pj's
5 stars just for being ab albany staple!!!
I Love PJs! I often walk home from Albany High & stop in to grab a couple slices to take home. Everyone who works here is super friendly! And of course, I Love the pizza 🍕 ❤️
Oldest pizza place in albany. They make great pie at a great price.
Hands-down, my favorite pizza shop in Albany great service quality of food and prices are great Getting ready to order from them now lol
Best ever .same as it was 30 years ago .David the pizza maker is a legend just cheese
Been eating their pizza since I was 13 way back when BIG Ron owned it. Same great original taste. 👍🏾 ( 3 stars for atmosphere,(bad neighborhood)
PJ'S has been here for YEARS and still has some of the best pizza I've had. Pizza sauce is great, dough is cooked to crunchy perfection and their wings are large and flavorful! If you haven't had pizza from PJ'S, you are definitely missing out!
Have ordered a few times since I moved nearby. Thin crust, not overly saucy not too greasy have had both white pies and a pepperoni. Enjoyable and not far from the NYC pizza I grew up with and have missed since living in Albany and Troy. The hours are the only reason I don't order more often. It's often too late or took early to order when I have the urge for pizza.
First time trying pj.s pizza today been looking for something decent. It exceeded mt expectations. Best pizza upstate so far. It got that nice olive oil coat on top crispy crust and great sauce. Ill be back for sure. Just wish it was a little thinner crust. But still great pizza. 7.4 score
I love going to PJ's and everything is normally perfect and I have no clue if maybe last night they were just more busy but when I got home, I was missing an appetizer that I ordered and payed for and they gave me the wrong order of wings I ordered. I didn't call back or go back because by time I went back out to pick up the missing item and get the correct food, all the rest wouldve been cold. The wings still tasted great and everyone ate them. Kinda missed the mozzarella sticks but we were full anyways and it was only $7 for an order so I wasn't too upset.
Pizza was worse than a frozen pizza. 😐 Bad sauce, barely any cheese and the crust had a weird chemical taste. The boneless wings were decent though. Delivery driver was very nice.
Keep wanting to come back to this place, as pizza was excellent, but yall gotta open up before 4pm. That's unacceptable. LIKE 95% OF OTHER PIZZA SHOPS IN ALBANY OPEN EARLIER. Therefore, I always have to choose another shop. I gotta have my dinner home and ready to eat much before 5-6pm, which is when it comes around when opening that late.
Food was trash me and my wife ordered meatball sub and pizza and both were not up to standard
This is the second time I ordered a meatball sub with extra cheese extra sauce and it didn’t have it after I paid for the extras and had to go back to get it done over or replaced I don’t appreciate that the service was better last year with the previous people that worked there I give them 5 thumbs down
The pizza is NOTHING like I remember. The cheese is cheaper and less of it is on the pizza. The greasy crispy crust is gone, now it’s more like dry hard pita bread. It’s worse than frozen pizza now. I’m from Albany so I know the change is real. I wouldn’t have craved this like a madwoman during my pregnancy if it tasted like it does now then. I’m very disappointed. Oh and the wings lol the hot wings are basically chicken wings(which were okay themselves) with straight hot sauce poured all over. No butter added like it’s supposed to have. I’ve never had wings here before so I had no clue. It’s not the heat it was the smothering of thick hot sauce which was very careless and ignorant. Learn the recipe for Buffalo wings. One part hot sauce and one part melted butter. It’s not barbecue sauce it’s hot sauce lol. Make it right. So unnecessary to just pour plain hot sauce all over wings. Wings aren’t cheap so don’t ruin them for customers. I also ordered carrot cake and got some super stale chocolate cake. Back to Pizza Sapienza I go. Or Pizza Central, or Spinners. The best in the 518 is Marino’s in schdy tho. Top tier is Marino’s. Pjs fell alllllll the way off. Get a nice frozen one or make some pizza bagels over this place. Keep the same standard or close down, or change the name at least.
I Grew Up On Pj’s Pizza Going Back To The 1970’s! We Order 2 Months Ago And My Wife agreed Too Thick Sauce Was Bland Not Like The Pizza I Remembered! I Always Order From Pjs At Least 4x A Year For Past. 15 Years Today I Ordered Same Thin Thick Crust! I even Asked Thin Crust I’m raw On The Botton I put in oven for 20 minutes Didn’t change The Taste I Shared A Picture After I Put It In Oven For 20 Minutes! Soo Damn Sad Lot Of Memories
Food was not good. The pizza was saucy but No taste to the sauce. Ordered HOT wings and they had no flavor either. Truly disappointed about the $$ spent. It was trash.
I would give less than zero Stars if I could I paid over 30 bucks for a pizza that these people never delivered and refused to do anything about instead they sat on the phone with children screaming in my ear and told me it was my fault that they never brought me the pizza I've never had such bad service for the restaurant before in my life
