Ostrica Albee Square Reviews
Ordered 4 pastas to go and each one tasted excellent. The Fettuccini Osteria was an unexpected hit! The bolognese wasn’t saucy but the taste was great and red wine not overbearing. Love that this sleeper hit is in Dekalb, don’t hesitate to try it!
Hidden gem in Dekalb market! Authentic Italian with the most incredible cheese wheel pasta, happy hour deals and the most delicious paninis in all of nyc.
I stopped by to try the pasta and got lucky, it was happy hour, so drinks were 50% off! 🥂 I had a pomodoro pasta with a glass of red wine. Everything was really good. Totally recommend it!
Nice lunch special! $25 for starter, entree and wine. Tasty and fresh pasta!

I’ve been here 5 or 6 times and the pasta seems like it’s all fresh made and everything I’ve had is delicious.
I came last night with my friends to celebrate the birthday of my mom and the vibe was very incredible. I can’t complain about the food thanks guys.

I tried this spot for their $25 lunch special, which includes an appetizer and an entrée. I ordered the calamari for my appetizer, and to my surprise, it came with a few French fries. It was good overall, though it could’ve used a bit more salt. Two people I was with ordered the meatballs, but the insides were cold. They were able to return them and received a fresh, properly heated set. For my entrée, I had the pollo ai funghi, which was good but—again—needed a touch more salt for my taste. I also ordered a glass of wine to pair with the dish. Overall, this is a nice little spot to grab lunch.

- Dishonest staff at this Osteria Brooklyn location - I was at the DeKalb Food Market at around 4:30pm. The big "Happy Hour 1/2 price Drinks" sign at Osteria Brooklyn caught my eyes. I was looking for some pasta and a drink, this restaurant seemed to be a good choice. I sat down and asked the waiter what drinks were 1/2 priced. I specifically asked if wine was part of that and I was told YES. So I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and a pasta. The food was not bad at all. However, when I asked for the bill, I noticed that I was charged full price for the wine. I thought it was just an honest mistake and asked the waiter about it. He just brushed me off and said that was the happy hour price. So I looked further, not only did he not put in the correct happy hour price, he actually punched in a more expensive glass of wine instead of what I actually ordered. At the end, I called him out with the menu opened. At that point, he already swiped my credit card. All he did was giving me this "you got me" look. Not a word of apology. The waiter in the picture is the one you should watch out for. He scams unsuspected customers who don't pay attention to their bills. What he did just turned a potentially return customer into someone who will never set foot in an Osteria Brooklyn again. He turned a potentially good review (as the food and wine were not bad) into a 1-star review, all for trying to game a few extra dollars.
Over priced for very little food. $20 for noodles and sauce. Better off ordering elsewhere like Verde on Smith.

DO NOT EAT HERE! I ordered the House Specialty excited to eat here for the first time and when I was about to eat it I found a DEAD ROACH in my food and immediately went back to get a refund. As I was getting my refund I saw another roach crawling on the cheese used in the pasta. This place clearly has a sanitation problem and should be shut down immediately. The food was also really overpriced but I am beyond disgusted.
