⸻ We had the BEST New York bagel experience at Pop’s Bagels today! 🥯🗽 As we were placing our order, the owner literally walked in, started talking with us, took a picture, and told us the history of the building like we were old friends. That kind of hospitality is rare and it made our day. Fast service, super friendly staff, free samples, and the freshest squeezed orange juice I’ve ever had. You can tell this place has been successful for years because they truly care about people and quality. If you’re in NYC, this is a MUST stop. Great bagels, great vibes, and an owner who makes you feel like family ❤️ #NYC #BagelHeaven #PopsBagels #MakingMemories

Pop himself was very kind and gave some great hospitality to accompany the bagels - hope to be back when visiting NYC again!

Doing a little morning shopping in Soho and stopped here to eat. Great bagel - Bacon egg cheese.

We had the best experience at Pop’s. This is the perfect spot to stop for a snack when you have a toddler, bored with shopping in SoHo. They have the cutest rainbow bagels(big hit for kids and an excellent bribe), tables to take a load off, coffee and near the train station. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The owner was so kind and brought out a cookie and water for my toddler. Thank you, Kelly and Angie! You made his day and he talked about it the whole way home.

Bagels were delicious and owner was extremely kind! Left with a free bag of bagels for the winter storm!

Amazing food and delicious gluten free bagel! I really appreciate you could get any of the choices on the gluten-free bagel. Staff was top notch and golden milk latte delicious

Super clean, great music playing and the staff were extremely nice. Pop himself held the door for my partner and I when it was -10 degrees outside! Had the bacon egg and cheese bagel, the Sadie (berries and oat milk) and a coffee all were super simple and delicious. Definitely going to keep this place in the rotation.

Solid bagel shop making bagels exactly how you'd want them in the city. They even have a couple different tofu schmears, which makes me extra happy. Last I was in, they were blasting 80s RnB, which is *chefs kiss* Extra points if Pops is on premise, chilling in the back nook.

Great Bagels! We wanted the herb and garlic and they were out, but they somehow made it happen for us! I’d recommend the golden latte? The honey and cinnamon one! So so good! Everyone was so kind and helpful! We met pop himself and he was so kind:)) I know there are a lot of bagel shops in the city but this is the kind of place I wish I could come all the time if I lived here! Highly recommend! I’ll be back! Get the cucumber dill!

A must visit for bagels in NYC!! We were greeted at the door by Pop himself who let us store our luggage behind the counter. Cream cheese on an everything bagel was simple but delicious, best one I’ve had in the city so far. Vibes were awesome, great music and friendly employees. Will be coming back!

A real NYC bagel! No frills, cream cheese packed with flavor, subtle crust with a nice chewy interior on the bagel. Highly recommend.

You go to NYC, you want to eat at as many places as possible. In a week long trip, the only place we visited more than once was Pops Bagels. Not only are the bagels tremendous, the atmosphere is friendly and fast. Pop’s Bagels (specifically, the bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel) is comfort food in a comfortable setting. And you can even meet Pop himself since he seems to always be around! Oh, and get the fresh squeezed OJ. Reasonably priced, delicious, fast, and friendly. What more could you ask for?

Picture says it all. This place is excellent, quick and reaosnably well priced. The bagel was so nice we had to come twice! Also staff were all really helpful and relaxed - including the owner who was very sweet to us when we were dining in during the rain! I imagine any of the offerings are great. 10/10 recommend.

I told the employees I was judging NY bagels based on theirs. They absolutely delivered. My everything bagel and the cream cheese on it were both outstanding! Everyone was friendly, service was quick and professional. Angie was phenomenal. Definitely THE place to go for an authentic NY bagel.

01/02/2026 Came in around 9:30 and grabbed an egg everything untoasted with nothing on it. This is the ultimate test for any bagel shop, and the only thing I care about. Pop’s’ bagel was okay. It was definitely a few hours old, this is NOT a fresh bagels throughout the day type of spot. I’d give the bagel itself a 3/5. Better than a bodega, with good chew and plentiful seasoning. Nothing like a hot utopia bagel. I’m sure they have good sandwiches and other stuff, but I don’t care about that. I believe it was $2 or $2.50 for just the bagel. I’ll come back if it’s early morning and they’re still hot, or to try a sandwich or something. Staff was nice too.

Cozy little bagel shop with indoor seating. Great atmosphere and friendly staff but not my favorite bagel in the city. If you’re looking for a good sit down bagel this is a great choice.

Whole wheat everything bagel was very bready and didn't taste too fresh, which is surprising for a popular place that is probably churning through bagels. Scallion cream cheese wasn't bad and price wasn't terrible compared to other spots. Overall the bagel was quite disappointing for me.

Good bagels but good lord do they take absolutely forever for no discernable resson. Don't come here if you have anywhere to be afterwards! Especially not on your lunch break if you work nearby because they'll take half your break up for a toasted bagel and cream cheese. No sense of urgency whatsoever and it's very frustrating. I've also witnessed the owner tell his employees to pick up the pace in a tone of voice that didn't seem particularly kind as a customer, especially considering he wasn't doing anything to help. If it's that deep that you need to talk to your people like that, then put a pair of gloves on and get to work yourself!

I had the Nolita whch had no chew to the bagel and at $20 I would suggest is $8 to $10 overpriced. The contents were ok but bland. Sorry but I’ve had better bagels at a gas station and found this to be more like a mediocre sandwich.

this place feels like a tourist bagel spot / a money grab. I have no problem paying $20 for a lox bagel, but at least the locations I frequent in Brooklyn absolutely load me up with smoked salmon on a huge bagel. Pop's skimped hard on our ingredients and still charged $20 for this sandwich, trying to make up for it with patty sized slices of onion, leaving us feeling very ripped off. The bagel itself was tasty, but the sandwich was massively disappointing and not what I expect from a NY bagel shop. If you enter, be very cautious of how you're spending!!

It is rare I take the time to post a review. Unfortunately, I recently had the misfortune of going into this unashamed tourist trap. I usually give places the benefit of the doubt, but this was one of my worst experiences I had “eating “ at a NYC deli/bagel shop. For starters I almost broke a tooth as the bagels are hard as a rock frisbees. What a disgrace. Furtehermore, the spreads they served us seems like they’d been in the fridge for weeks. And here is the kicker $7 for the worst coffee ( caffeinated water ) in town is beyond shameful. They actually deserve negative 6 stars for the slop that they served us. I was told the better business bureau is already in the process of shutting this disgusting cash grab down. Do not go near this place.

I’m very disappointed with my experience at Pops. I came in around 3pm on a Sunday and ordered two small vanilla lattes and a toasted croissant with butter, a simple order since they were closing soon. My total was about $17 before tip. When I left, my croissant was burnt, not buttered, and not even cut. I went back to ask for it to be fixed. The barista, Hailey, told the cook, who seemed irritated and mumbled under his breath. The replacement croissant was cut this time, but still had no butter. I had to remind him again that all I asked for was a toasted croissant with butter. On top of that, both lattes were lukewarm and had no sweetness or noticeable vanilla flavor. Overall, the visit felt like a waste of money and I won’t be returning.

Let’s talk about getting robbed with a smile because that’s exactly what $22 for a bacon egg and cheese and an iced coffee felt like here. I don’t know what’s “special” about this place, but it definitely isn’t the food. The sandwich was as average as it gets limp bacon, basic egg, and cheese that tasted like it gave up halfway through melting. I’ve had more flavor and care from the guy running a $3 cart on the corner at 6AM. The iced coffee? Just as lifeless. No depth, no taste, just cold caffeine water in a cup with attitude. Pop’s Bagels gives off that vibe where they charge double just because the sign looks cute and someone decided minimalist decor equals quality. Spoiler: it doesn’t. If you enjoy paying top-shelf prices for bottom shelf flavor, this is your spot. But if you actually want to enjoy your breakfast go literally anywhere else. $22 lesson learned: sometimes the “trendy” place is just an expensive way to be disappointed.
