Tonight we had our first experience at Torrisi Restaurant, and it was absolutely unforgettable. It was my friend’s birthday, and the entire evening felt so special. Mark took wonderful care of us — his recommendations were spot on and truly elevated our dining experience. Every dish was exceptional. Torrisi gave us a completely unique and memorable culinary experience. Thank you to the whole team, and especially to Mark!

Food - unique and excellent. Service - perfection. We went there for our anniversary and our waiter went above and beyond for us. Atmosphere - high sealing makes it easier to talk.

We went to Torisi for a special occasion and it was absolutely perfect. The service was warm and attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere made the night feel truly special. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared.

We were fortunate enough to walk in and sit at the bar for lunch last week - which is a must do during black truffle season because the black truffle tortellini was to die for. All of the food was amazing. American ham and zeppole, tortellini pomodoro, almond cheesecake, and affogato all lived up to the hype. Josh, our bartender, was lovely. He had excellent recommendations and was warm and friendly. He even comped one of our drinks! Will absolutely be back.

Best of the best in New York City. Impressive crowd, understanding service and a charm to be there. Be thoughtful on what to order, flavors are numerous and choices have to be made well. Out of the larger glamorous restaurants in the city this one did impress. Only small issue is how there are only two bathrooms, otherwise its amazing.

Torrisi is by far one of my favorite restaurants. Everything is absolutely exceptional—the food, the atmosphere, the service, and the drinks. If you’re anywhere near the area, this place is a must. Make your reservation well in advance because they’re almost always fully booked; last time I checked, availability was nearly a month out. That said, it is 100% worth the wait. Do not miss it.

I’ve been wanting to try this for so long and they definitely delivered. I’m so impressed. The inside is gorgeous and the bar is incredible. I got the ham appetizer and it was a fun way to eat. The tortellini is probably the best I’ve ever had. It just melts in your mouth

I understand the hype. Wallked in at 6pm on Wed and got a seat at the bar at 7. The amberjack crudo imported daily from Japan was so fresh and melted in my mouth. We tried 3 pastas, the truffle tortellini (a daily special), the jerk cavatelli, and amatriciana. All of them were absolutely delicious, probably the best truffle pasta I’ve had (mind you, the tortellini portion in the pic is half of the dish). Finished the night with the affogato, with shaved ice which was a solid 10/10. Can’t recommend enough if you have the patience to wait, or lucky enough to get a reso!

Torrisi NYC literally exceeded my expectations in every possible way, and I’ve returned quite a few times because it never disappoints. From the moment we walk in, Arianna at the front greets us with a warm smile and makes us feel welcome every time, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is the perfect balance of chic and cozy. The service is flawless from start to finish, and the food is everything and more. To start, the sesame sourdough bread is unreal—so good, I honestly don’t have words for how yummy it is. The tortellini pomodoro deserves a 100/10 if I could—literally melts in your mouth, light, airy, and bursting with flavor. The chicken alla griglia is tender with a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the sauce… unbelievable. The Cucumbers Newyorkese are super refreshing, and the scalloped potatoes are herby, light, and a perfect side—not your classic heavy potato dish. And the affogato? Chef’s kiss. 👩‍🍳💋 Drinks are solid—dirty martini, Aperol spritz, and a glass of chardonnay all hit the mark. On top of that, the complimentary cookies and Italian ice are a fun and delightful addition to the experience. Overall, Torrisi NYC is exceptional in every way—amazing food, impeccable service, and a dining experience I keep coming back to because it never fails to impress.

Torrisi is easily one of the hardest reservations to secure in New York, and after finally getting in, I can say without hesitation, it is absolutely worth the effort. This was, without exaggeration, some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had in my life. From the moment you walk in, you’re struck by how beautiful the space is. The restaurant is elegant, refined, and warm, with a bar area that’s low-lit and atmospheric in the best possible way. It feels special the second you sit down. Hospitality: Every server here is incredible, I've been here for lunch and dinner and the level of coordination between the entire team is unreal. They move with precision, communicate effortlessly, and make the entire experience feel seamless. The hospitality alone is 5 stars, right alongside the food. Food: Every single dish I ordered was phenomenal But the true standouts, the dishes that actually left me speechless were: * American Ham with Zeppole – perfectly balanced, unforgettable.
(HIGHLY RECOMMEND) * Tortellini Pomodoro – simple, stunning, and flawlessly executed.

(HIGHLY RECOMMEND) * Cavatelli with Jamaican Beef Ragu – rich, light spice, bold, and incredibly flavorful.

(HIGHLY RECOMMEND) * Chicken Alla Griglia – tender, smoky, and packed with depth.

(HIGHLY RECOMMEND) Every dish feels thoughtful, elevated, and crafted with intention. Torrisi doesn’t miss, you truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Dessert: The Almond Cheesecake was unreal... one of the best desserts I’ve ever had, light, nutty, and absolutely perfect, and the Affogato was the ideal finishing touch—simple, refreshing, and the perfect end to a rich meal. Drinks: Mulberry Manhattan, Sicilian and Dagger John. The cocktails are excellent balanced, creative, and a perfect complement to the meal. Whatever you order, you’re in good hands. Overall, Torrisi delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Beautiful space, incredible food, amazing drinks, it’s the kind of restaurant that stays with you long after you leave. I will absolutely be back.

We had a fantastic experience at Torrisi. We put our name down for walk-ins and the team was able to accommodate us without much of a wait. The staff was warm and attentive and the food was incredible from start to finish. Every dish was full of flavor and the atmosphere made the whole evening feel special. We left already talking about what we want to order next time. Highly recommend!

Torrisi is one of those places where the evening feels effortless from the moment the food hits the table. The pastas were the highlight — especially the ricotta agnolotti in tomato sauce, which is rich but somehow still light, and the rigatoni that nails that deep, slow-cooked flavor without being heavy. Everything comes out with this warm, glowing, old-New-York energy (helped by the candlelight), and the dishes are meant to be shared (not really but we did), which makes the whole experience feel social and easy. It’s the kind of dinner where you look around halfway through and think: this is exactly what I wanted tonight.

Although we didn’t have a reservation, Arianna was gracious enough to find us a table — and it truly made our day. I’ve dined at Torrisi several times, and every visit reminds me why it’s one of my favorite spots. The food and service are consistently exceptional, and this past Saturday was no exception. A heartfelt thank-you to Arianna and the entire team for maintaining such high standards of hospitality. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Torrisi truly lives up to the hype. My friend and I were lucky to get two seats at the bar, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. We started with the cucumber New Yorkese and the American ham with zeppole, followed by the tortellini pomodoro and linguine in Manhattan clam sauce. For our entree, we shared the duck alla Mulberry, and ended with the almond cheesecake and affogato. Every dish was outstanding. The service made the night even better. John at the bar was wonderful—warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive. His food and drink recommendations were perfect, and his kindness really elevated the whole experience. I can’t wait to return, hopefully with another lucky seat at the bar.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Torrisi on Mulberry St with my sister, Steph, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience! We decided to walk in and were quickly accommodated at the bar, where we met the incredible bartender, Josh, and his awesome barback, Henry. From the moment we arrived, Josh’s warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for our evening. He was attentive, funny, and made us feel right at home with his friendly banter. Henry was equally impressive, ensuring our glasses were always full and adding to the lively atmosphere. As for the food, I highly recommend the tortellini pomodoro – it was simply divine! To top it all off, Josh surprised us with a complimentary dessert that was both delicious and a lovely gesture. If you're at Torrisi, be sure to sit at the bar and ask for Josh and Henry. Their excellent service and genuine kindness made our night unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back! 🍝🍷✨ Thank you, Josh, Henry, and the team at Torrisi!

Torrisi is uniquely worth the challenge of securing a reservation. Literally every facet of my experience was at the height of perfection, from the first dish to the last. The menu was creative, unique, and inspired by different cuisines I never thought I’d see combined on a menu. The Jamaican beef ragu cavatelli is a perfect example of how Torrisi pushes the boundaries of Italian cooking while also drawing from tradition. I thoroughly enjoyed each dish that I struggle to pick a single favorite, but if I had to pick one it would be the amatriciana. Lastly, I want to give a standing ovation to Marcus, who was a master server who knew the menu inside and out. Marcus made the entire experience that much more memorable with his charisma and passion for the menu. I seriously cannot overstate just how incredible of a gem this spot is. Tier: ⭐️

I enjoyed all of the dishes at Torrisi—my favorite was the linguine but the table next to us informed us that the tortellini is the best on the menu. I loved the space—old school NY yet modern. The service wasn’t top notch but cordial. I would visit again.

My first visit to a MFG restaurant I was beyond thrilled with the experience. We arrived 15 minutes early to our 10:30 reservation and were kindly allowed us to wait out the difference by the bar. This was absolutely welcome considering the fact that we were seated in the main room and wouldn't have otherwise had an opportunity to check out the gorgeous bar room. Soon after we were greeted, brought to our table, and given our menus. The food was sublime. In total we had the American Ham with Zeppole, Cucumbers New Yorkese, Tortellini Pomodoro, Cavatelli with Jamaican Beef, Chicken Alla Griglia, Duck Alla Mulberry, and an Affogato each. Absolutely everything was excellent, no complaints, but the Chicken Alla Griglia was in a league of its own. It was genuinely the best chicken dish I’ve ever had. If you’re coming here for the first time I think it’s an absolute must. All credit to our server, Mark S, for steering us in that direction. Speaking about the service, Mark was a fantastic host and was an integral part of our experience. He had a great, effusive vibe and his command of the menu was exceptional. The only slight hiccup we had was that we never received the refill of table bread that we asked for, but overall that did not hamper the experience. Reservations are challenging, but in my opinion anyone who cares about the NYC food scene has to come here at least once.

We had such a fantastic time at Torrisi. The vibe was fun and lively, and everyone started off with an Aperol Spritz, which set the tone perfectly. All of the apps were delicious and every pasta we tried was excellent. The palate cleansers were a really fun touch with little icy bites that kept the meal feeling fresh and exciting. For dessert, we ended up trying four different options, and honestly, every single one was amazing. At the very end, they brought out their cookie tray with all the classic Italian cookies, which was such a perfect way to finish the night. Overall, Torrisi has great food, great energy, and thoughtful details that make the whole experience memorable. Would highly recommend and definitely plan to come back!

Review: I had an unforgettable dining experience at Torrisi in New York City, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible waiter, Fernando. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel so welcome and comfortable. His recommendations were spot-on—every dish he suggested was absolutely delicious, and his knowledge of the menu was impressive. What truly set Fernando apart was his personality. He was warm, attentive, and made our dinner not just seamless but genuinely fun. He had the perfect balance of professionalism and charm, making sure we had everything we needed while also adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. If you’re dining at Torrisi, I highly recommend asking for Fernando. He elevates the entire experience, and I can’t wait to come back for another fantastic meal.

Amazing experience and delicious food! We were lucky to walk in last week, grab seats at the bar without a reservation, and had no wait at all. Our bartender gave us excellent recommendations. The New York–style cucumbers were refreshing. The pasta was outstanding. The chicken was good, and the mushroom sauce was delicious, but I wish it had been served on top rather than underneath as it didn’t quite coat the chicken as well as it could have. The date cake and affogato were both fantastic and the perfect way to end the meal.

Torrisi — one of the most hyped spots in Soho. Reservations open a month in advance, but they’re tough to snag unless you plan ahead. They do take walk-ins for the bar seats though. The service was amazing, but honestly… the food didn’t fully live up to the hype. If I compare it to a Toronto classic, I’d say Sugo is much better and feels way more authentic. Torrisi leans more fusion and multicultural. But the real highlight? The atmosphere. It’s gorgeous — especially during the holidays.

It’s hard to find a restaurant getting more hype and attention this last year than Torrisi. We tried in vain for months to get a reservation on Resy until finding out they actually take a small number of walk in’s every night. We lined up out front around 4, there were already 10-12 people in front of us but we ended up getting a spot right away at the bar. Perhaps several of these people ahead of us were trying to get spots for later in the evening so we got bumped ahead. One thing to note: there is a dress code. No shorts allowed. I had to run out and buy a pair of pants quickly and come back. My girlfriend was wearing a skirt and we were told that was okay. In regard to the food, atmosphere and service, Torrisi did not disappoint. We ordered two pastas, one main course, one starter and had their Dry Martinis + shared a glass of Chardonnay wine to drink. The pastas were both great, with the Tortellini Pomodoro easily being our favorite. The Raviolini and Prawn pasta was solid but not quite as good we thought. The Chicken alla Griglia (gravy) was a second favorite. Only thing I’d say is the Chicken and the Prawns is that they were both a bit on the overdone side. Probably a result of being fired a little early and sitting under a warming lamp for a bit too long—but that could easily just be our fault for taking a bit longer than expected with our first course and bread. The appetizer we had was a special that probably won’t always be offered. It was so delicious though, it was a Bao Bun with Ragu or something. One of the best things we have ever tasted. Though we didn’t order dessert off the menu we were given two complimentary small treats to end the meal which was really appreciated. Overall this place lived up to the hype. It is a bit pricey, but worth trying if you can find a reservation of have time to try and get a walk in spot!

Went for lunch on a Friday afternoon around 12 put our names down and had to wait about an hour to be seated, but they texted us so we didn’t have to wait there. They sat us at the bar. The space is very nice. We had a charming bartender taking our order and he definitely added to the experience. As for the food, it was quite good, but definitely overrated. The cucumbers were great, very refreshing. The ham was enjoyable and I liked the salty sweet of the ham and pineapple jam with the zeppole. I thought the cheese to pasta ratio of the tortellini was a bit off, and there was too much cheese filling, which overpowered the flavor of the pasta and the sauce. If there was just a tiny bit less filling, I think the ratio would be perfect. The tomato sauce was excellent and probably the best thing of the meal. It tasted like the tomatoes had just been picked from a garden. So fresh and delicious. Got the sandwich special, which was a curry chicken Francese. This was probably the most disappointing dish and kind of reminded me of the sandwiches from Parm. I don’t love the batter they use on their cutlet, I feel it retains too much oil and tastes greasy. The mozzarella wasn’t melted, which I think would’ve made it better. The complimentary bread and butter was quite nice. Very fresh bread. The affogato was great and tasted like tiramisu. The complimentary sorbet and rainbow cookie were very good. I’m glad I tried it but definitely not rushing back and I don’t think it’s worth the hassle to try and get a reservation. Based on the selfies and glamor shots people post of themselves in the restaurant I could see the dinner crowd being kind of annoying.
