Bottega Amsterdam Reviews
Really customizable sandwich options! We got a BLT-ish sandwich and the strawberry fields smoothie. Both EXCELLENT!! A huge plus was that the owners were super super nice and friendly and their kids were really cute. They were also really cool with our dog. Overall, really charming family business and I’d highly recommend checking them out!
This place is a huge asset to the neighborhood. We have been there a few times and the food is always great. The homemade sausage on the breakfast sandwich is awesome. Great t-shirts and tanks. The atmosphere is comfortable and still evolving. The owners are welcoming and given they’re just starting out, I can’t wait to see what’s coming.
The owners/ Operators are extremely nice ,keep the place tidy , and have a great atmosphere. The food is delicious and you dont need to leave an arm and leg behind. This quaint little shop is truly a gem in the rough!
Best spot ever! Might be a lil biased considering I own the place, but seriously best (only) spot to get a smoothie in amsterdam, $2.50 beef patties, $5 on coco bread w/cheese & hot...wayyyy better subs than the alternative, AND they wanna be open till 1am 7 days a week! Just wait till they got groceries and smokes and tallboys and they're on doordash. Yalls better lookout they on the move! 🫡
Came here a few times and will come back! Egg and cheese was super yummy and my coffee was so good, love this place! Support local businesses!
Southside makes delicious veggie sandwiches and the best breakfast burritos! Yummy Ice cream. Easy walk over the bridge.
We only had coffee but it was our favorite so far on this trip. Way better than name brand franchise coffee place.
My go to place for breakfast, friendship and smoothies. Great atmosphere and friendly great people.
Good beef patties, and the people working there are super friendly!
Was walking on the bridge with our granddaughter and she asked for a hot dog. Seen this place and thought we'd give it a try. Very friendly people, service fast. Wish we tried other items on rhe menu but will go back when we're hungrier. Want to try their goat soap they just made as stocking stuffers, the soap wasn't quite ready. Wish them well in their new venture.
Very friendly service! Refreshing smoothie!
The place was so good I kept coming back
This is the beginning of something great. (Edit: Or so I thought) Ever since hearing about the closure of the Route 30 Dinner and subsequent purchasing and remodeling of the old Guge's Dogs location, I've been meaning to check out their new breakfast menu. Walked over from the other side of the river, a short 2-3 mile jaunt down East Main and across the pedestrian bridge. Walking inside I thought at first it was closed or someone just stepped out as it was empty and unmanned, but about four to five minutes later I was able to figure out there was someone and get their attention. Might suggest a Service Bell at the counter or an electronic 'ding-dong' device to replace those rather soft spoken jingle bells at the door. Ordered an Egg and Cheese sandwich, decaf coffee, Western Breakfast burrito, and one of their smoothies called "The 3 C's" Wanted a Waffle which they had on the menu instead of the burrito, but apparently they weren't serving them this day. Sad. Overall the price came to $27 exactly, which considering I ordered enough for two people is fair and reasonable. Sat down and in less than the time I stood around I had my coffee and sandwich, of which I wolfed down as I was quite hungry and the sandwich's first bite told me it was delicious. Fluffy egg, firm bread, and some very sharp cheddar. Excellent. Coffee was on the money, a fresh pot for sure, though it was a little weird to see the creamer served in a shot glass and not in those tiny peel-back containers or a creamer pot. The second half of the meal came in about 10-11 minutes. The smoothie was tremendous, subtly sweet, super fruity flavor, and if you're interested they have options to add things like protein powder. Really enjoyed that. The burrito I think I made a mistake picking sausage and provolone cheese, either I should have gone with cheddar as well or picked the ham instead as it just had a very peppery flavor and nothing else. It was filling of course, but honestly somewhat bland. I think adding in home-fried potatoes chucks might be a good addition, which would stick with the Western theme too. Overall I really want to see these guys make it, because they got rolled over by their previous landlord and are a family run spot. They offer ice cream, which plans to add soft served by summer 2026, they're expanding half of the restaurant into a mini grocery store, and I wish them all the best. Edit (09/29/2025): It is unfortunate it has come to this. But after 2 attempts to come back during open hours, and finding them closed, and then today's experience finally catching them actually open I can not in good conscience keep my 5 star rating from before. The quality of service was horribly slow, to the point to took 35-40 minutes for 2 egg and cheese sandwiches, 1 Italian Wrap, and 1 Smoothie to come out. Even if it was someone's first day on the job, you would never expect this kind of delay. The quality of food is also down, losing the sandwich bun for plain toast, no coffee, and a lack of ingredients that prevented my father from getting one of the smoothes they offered. What happened? Both my father and I, agreed, that we could not see ourselves returning again. Horribly slow, disappointing food quality, super loud music playing, and to top it off the very shady thing of locking the door and closing the place right after we left during peak breakfast hours? No, something is going on here and we want none of it. Darn shame.
