The best in the immediate area. A 1st choice whenever in the neighborhood! A must! Very accommodating and everything on the menu is excellent. Can't go wrong stopping here for lunch, dinner or anytime. The food makes me come back every time i'm in the area, but so does the staff. Everyone there is extremely friendly, and will make your dining experience great.Very highly recommended to anyone!!
This place I highly recommend. Good wine. But I don't recommend the paella, they seem to be messing up lately. But, Shhhhhh try the grilled octopus. They have other plates available that are delicious
Food is amazing, everything I ever tried I so delicious, fresh and great quality. The waitresses are friendly and professional as the busboy.
The food was soooo delicious and amazing and the service was great as well, the grilled Octopus mouth watering 😋 Definitely would recommend and I will be going back
The food is great and very reasonably priced, the feeling of the place is good vibes.
It was my first time and it won't be the last one. Authentic homemade Spanish cuisine and a very friendly staff.

Excelente authenic spainish food. Great service and family oriented feel like am back home in spain
We ran into the nicest old Spanish guy on the street. He doesn’t speak too much English, but he was so warm and really tried to tell us to try this place. It turns out to be amazing!!
Is a Great restaurant, family environment.. workers are very gentle . Love this place
This is the top place not only to eat food from Spain but also to enjoy a great time as it truly makes you feel at Spain. The food is vast, diverse, and superbly delicious. From the paella to the tapas and the sangria. It's a great spot to reminisce Spain 🇪🇸 you'll definitely feel at Iberia. Ole! 💃
There is a main sitting area which I thought was too fancy for me. I sat down in front of a huge TV by the bar. It was the best experience I’ve had in a few months. I ordered the paella. I am very happy I did because now I have a paella restaurant to go to. I paired it with a sangria red. It’s too bad my wife and I were alone to enjoy it because I think it was too much sangria for me. However, it was a very nice experience. We also tried the fried calamari. I loved it. I will give the fried calamari a second place in my memory. I’m back for more. They are back open after a summer vacation getaway. It’s early August and I got the craving again for some Paella. This time, however, I tried the pasta, instead of rice paella. They call it Fideua. It stands for the word pasta in Spanish. Fideos or short thin pasta is what holds together the dish. I love this place. Of course you get the friendliest staff I have had the delight to be aquatinted with. I asked her how the Florida vacation went. She was happy to answer. This people treat you like family. I will definitely go back. Mid-August for my birthday? Maybe. Talk soon.
Blanca was very kind to all members of our party and the food servings were fresh, abundant, not oily and very caringly prepared. Good Friday became all the more sacred in this space.
This place was recommended to us and I'm very happy that we followed up on the recommendation. The food was 😋. I had the Madrid Strew (Chickpeas and Tripe with Chorizo), my Mom had Mussels, Scampi style and our friend had Fried Calamari. We were all very happy with our appetizers. Then for our entrées, we all had Merluza which in English is Hake. We each had it in a different preparation. There was grilled, stewed and breaded. Mine was Grilled and it came with vegetables and a choice of a side. I chose Boiled Potatoes. My Mom chose to have it in Stew which is served in sauce and with Potatoes and our friend chose the Breaded version with a choice of a side. She had the French Fries. We were all happy with the preparation we chose. The servings were large. We all took food home. We all had Flan for dessert and it was very good. My Mom had Wine, our friend had Sangria and I had Estrella, a beer from Spain. The prices are very good here. The service is excellent. We came in the afternoon but in the evenings they have entertainment. I don't know if it's every evening or only on certain evenings. I have to look into that. The space reminds me of a small scale Supper Club. There is also a area off to the side with a Bar, t.v.'s and seats. We will definitely go back, maybe when they have a show. I also have to say, we've been to Spain on several occasions and the food here is as good and even better than in some Restaurants in Spain. Forgot to mention that we each got a Bailey's, on the house. It's very rare for restaurants to do that nowadays.
One check mark in the restaurant bucket list. Meal did not dissapoint. Very nice wine. Dessert was also delish. Good prices for the quality. Staff was extremely pleasant. Look forward to our next visit.
SPAIN 🇪🇸 Eat the World NYC review: Now just two years shy of their 50th anniversary, the Centro Español de Queens has lived in its current Astoria home since 1985. Originally called the Circulo Español when formed in 1971, the organization has always had the mission of preserving the Spanish culture of its members and their children. The third major wave of Spanish immigration to the United States that took place during the 60's, 70's and 80's created strong communities here in New York City, always one of the major destinations. Nowadays many of the members have been here for decades and multiple generations of descendants have grown up in this country, but the center acts as a hub to return to with family for celebrations and comradery. While run separately from the Centro, the restaurant is an important part of the daily operations. Walking up to the bar not only brings you a transition into Spanish culture, but also seems like a bubble away from the rapidly changing streets of Astoria. Nothing served here in the Circulo Español is intended to knock your socks off, but it all gives a deep feeling of being homestyle. Meals seem like they are served by your aunt and uncle who farm in the countryside after you drove two hours to get to their home. The views out the window lack the vistas of rolling hills like Galicia, but as each new dish hits the table it is not hard to imagine them instead of Queens.
Very good food! There is always live entertainment after 8pm. Price wise it's pretty decent for Astoria, not too expensive. The service is always top notch. When it comes to food this place have authentic fresh cooked to perfection food i have even tried in Astoria! Make sure to try their mariscada in salsa verde it is simply perfect!
Dinner and show. Great tapas and Paella
The best sea food around.
great spanish food, love the paella and octopus. expensive for me but similar to other nice astoria restaurants I guess.
Recommend the Bistec a la plancha and the house sangria. They accept credit cards.
If you are home sick for Spain this place is for you. Watch a soccer game have a Spanish 🍺 and enjoy.
Great place and very traditional food from España.
Authentic Spanish food, great for groups and long after lunch conversations.
The food but specially the Flamenco Show was awesome. Edit: I just would like if they offer a vegetarian option.
I stumbled upon this place by accident. There was a soccer game on and the place was packed. Everyone was super friendly. I enjoyed eating fried calamari the most. The grilled octopus could have been cooked better. There were some parts that were too chewy.
The place is good. The paellas have a very authentic taste (I'm not a Spaniard, though). The patatas bravas are not as hot as I expected so that was a bit of a downer. The atmosphere is not bad but not what I expected from a Spanish restaurant. The music was what you can hear on any radio station. Besides, they were showing a soccer match, which is great for men who like it, just not for me.
The restaurant is beautiful. The staff is very attentive. The steaks and sangria were very good. The seafood paella was okay. My only complain is that they have a stage and they didn't do any show for mothers day weekend. They talk about doing events on the second floor last week. If they had a flamenco 🕺💃 dance show on the stage, I can assure you the restaurant would be packed.
Everyone there is extremely polite , the sodas were good and the fried potatoes were amazing , my fav was the shrimp And the potatoes that came With the oxtail ( had great gravy on them from the oxtail ) the paella was ok , rice was a bit over cooked and the shrimp I like to be bigger ( like Fresh ) these ones were like from the freezer bag still very delicious, they do Shows ANd stuff so I’ll be back to try again :)
Bland food. Music was way too loud.
Salads🥗 should be much better❗❗🤷🏻♀️ The letters are cut to small, it does not look appetizing 🤷🏻♀️ Salad should be crispy and and fresh..
I have a wonderful night in terms that the food was delicious and I got to enjoy to watched a beautiful tango class ( I love it). However, I was very disappointed with the waitress, who did not package my and my friend's food (when we decided to bring the leftover home), but she packaged the next table people"s food. My friend asked her why she did that, and the waitress responded that packing a paella, is harder to pack a garlic shrimp. Very in mature answer. Next time? She will no be our waitress..for sure
Nice Place.
Not good ,food was horrible.
Tried going here, couldn’t find it. There was a location for this place with the same address that had all the doors covered. The outside appearance was run down and no clear indication of it being a restaurant. Weird.
We drove an hour to get to this place because in the website says the close at 10pm, we got there at 8:35 and they didn't take us because the kitchen was about to close and we could only order appetizers, the waitress didn't even ask the kitchen if we could order and that made us feel very unwelcome
asking customers for proof of vaccination. lost my business and I’ll make sure anyone I associate with won’t be giving any money to you. what a shame.
My mother and a group of her friends made a reservation at the place for their monthly birthday gathering. Upon arrival they were greeted by a female that was less than pleasant. All 10 older women were seated down.and were asked what they wanted to drink. Upon asking for water, the waitress delivered a pitcher of water and didn't even serve it for them. Then it came time to order; When the reservation was made, there was a variety of items available for the group. This included entrees and two sides. When it came to placing the food order, they were told that each meal only came with one side not two. They also ordered pork chops which was one of the menu items that was available to them and they were then told that they didnt have any pork chops. Then they ordered sangria and once again it was delivered to the table and not served. When they requested to speak to the manager, they were told that the manager was at the register and that if they needed to speak to him, they had to go up to him. Upon speaking to the manager he just stated that those were the restaurant policies and that if the group didnt like it, they could leave... at that point the bill was paid for what had been delivered and they all left... Very poor service, attention to detail, horrible waitress attention. This was a very unpleasant experience for them and I can assure that they will not be getting my business in the future. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone.
