Mosaic Astoria Reviews
Cute bar, cozy couches inside for date night. Has outdoor seating. Food is ok, main attraction is the drinks.
Great cocktails, amazing beer list. And awesome vibe and decor. This place delivers on every front
We have been here a few times for cocktails and they never disappoint! We will keep coming back!
This place was just amazing. Came here with a few friends & we ended up getting 2 bottles of wine and the cheese platter. The prices and quality were just great.
One of the best spots in Astoria. Pet friendly (outdoor only) seating and they even provide cool water with ice for your furry companion.
Cool place for a nice cocktail. Staff was very friendly and the drinks were delicious. The outdoor seating was on a nice quiet street.
One of my favorite places to go on double dates. Always the best service! Always so fun and accommodating. Cocktails are unreal. Having a drink here always makes me feel swankier than I’ll ever be.
Cocktails and beer selection never disappoint. Billy and Logan are always a joy. I highly recommend visiting by this chill and mellow place. The setting is intimate and makes ideal for dates.
This is my favorite bar in Astoria. They have a great beer and wine selection with and excellently crafted cocktail menus. Small bites with no fanfare and most importantly of all no TVs!
My husband and I love this place. It's decorated in like an old fashioned, burlesque design with a touch of goth. They have great wine and beer choices. Try any of their cocktails.
Dulce En Fuego is my favorite drink here. Kind servers. Great atmosphere! Would highly recommend for a quiet, cozy night out.
Laid back Victorian inspired atmosphere. Craft cocktails and daunting beer selection. Menu has helpful hop guide for each beer. They also have a small boardgame selection and occasionally show movies and shows.
Small intimate space with an incredible selection of craft beers. Looks more like a wine bar (there's wine!) but caters to those of us who love beer. Small foods available. Staff is very friendly
Delicious small plates. Incredible selection of beer, wine, and cocktails, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. We love coming here.
Not much to add to the other reviews. Cozy, nice ambience, music at a nice low setting for mature audiences, great for a couple of glasses of wine, cheese and olives is exactly what we had.
Great beer selection, friendly staff, and good prices. The atmosphere is charming and there are some very good reasonably priced snack and meal options like pretzel sticks and paninis.
Mosaic always has amazing cocktails, a wonderful beer selection spanning the entire spectrum from IPAs to sours, and superb service! Absolutely go here at least once!
A great place with unique charm. We came here on a Sunday evening and the service was great but the guacamole and he beer pretzels were even better! Can’t wait to come back!
I go here more often then I should. Beautifully decorated, Amazing beers, wine and now liquor selection! Also the food is really good too! The staff is so nice and knowledgeable about all the beer they have on draft.
My local go-to spot for a great beer selection, with nice small food options. The service is always top-notch, too. I also love how they incorporate Untappd into their draft options so I know when they have something new on tap. Five-stars without a doubt!
I experienced this place late on a saturday night. Do make reservations. The seating is unique with lounge style a standard table/chair setup. Drinks were amazing and I plan to go back for lunch.
Great beers, friendly staff, and comfortable couches. Wonderful atmosphere to watch their 80 inch screen festooned with dragons literal and metaphorical. I always look forward to coming here. The food's good too.
The drinks here are very good. The staff was very nice. The deviled eggs had bits of the bacon on them.... Will definitely stop here again.
May 2021: I love this local neighborhood place. Staff is kind, funny, and helpful. Drinks are fantastic (have tried: James and the Giant Peach, Screw 2020!, Aviation, Lavender French 75, Fig Mint of Your Imagination, Pretty In Pink, and the Irish Coffee). I’ll be coming back often! Edit, July 2021: I do come here often. Have also tried Johnny on the Spot, Pink Lady, and Peachy Keen.
Nice cozy little bar with low lights and music at a good volume. Beers are at a great price to get two or three and feel good about your decision. I got a KBS and enjoyed it very much.
The service is very good and professional and there's a good vibe of a bar
Amazing place Came here for the first time for wine🍷 Nice laid back place dim lights low music. Bartender was great and friendly. The wine was good and the decor was nice. Next time I will try the cheese plate. I will be returning for sure
Great cocktails, service, and food everytime I've been there. Relaxed and cozy ambiance, ideal for small and large get togethers with friends. Young hip crowd. If you like smokey bourbon drinks I highly recommend the Smoke Show. They have some old games: Guess Who, Jenga, etc. Our waiter Brian was very helpful too. Not the best cocktails and food I've ever had but for the price ($$) it's absolutely worth it.
Great vibe, delicious drinks & food (try the Spinach Artichoke dip!), and a friendly staff. Decor is always fun to look at while having drinks. Lot's of space for groups. One if my go to spots!
Beautiful decor, including couch seating that can be reserved. Great cocktails and several craft beers on tap. Their flatbread pizzas are incredible, and you’d do well to put together a meat and cheese platter. Bartenders work very hard here, tasked with making drinks, cooking food, and table service.
This place is an Astoria staple. Great cocktails, super comfy seating, low lights and laid back atmosphere. Perfect date spot. Oh and the small plates are very good too!
Such a cute spot! The photos definitely don't do it justice. Great drinks - perfect place for a date
Me and my fiancé visit this place atleast twice a week! First of all the atmosphere is so cozy and warm that everytime i get there it feels like home! The sofas and seats are so comfortable! There are a lot of drinks and cocktails to choose from, they also have amazing flatbreads on the menu! The bartender is always greeting us and recommending the best cocktails out of all menu which is really big!
One of the best and cleanest bathroom in Astoria. Amos is a killer bar tender. So rad. If you enjoy good company, great irish coffee and an awesome bartender then this is your place. I will 1000% be back here! This bar is amazing!
Chilled here for a little while with a friend, prices were great and it was a nice space to talk with your party. Service was a tiny bit slow but it was not that big of a deal
The dim lighting, the vintage feel & decor brings the place together. I love the ambiance here. Cute for a girls night out or a date! The drinks are also really good. I will definitely come back!
Sat. 8/19/23 Came here with off friend of mine. It opens up at 3 PM on the weekends. Everything is excellent about this place the atmosphere the vibe, the music, the food, the service they have an excellent cheese plate, which we plan to order again and try their other dishes, Lisa is an excellent waitress very Professional and friendly. It’s people like this that making establishment much more welcoming and inviting. Thank you, Lisa.
Cute place! Drinks were so tasty and service was extremely friendly. Showed up at around 9pm on a Saturday and were able to be seated right away. The ambiance is very chill and dark but mostly cozy. Highly recommend!
This is such a fun cocktail spot and one of a kind in Astoria. They have a very interesting cocktail selection, light food options and classy vibe. It's a great date spot and good for friends who want to catch up. Not the greatest for large groups but they did a very nice job of accommodating me and my friends on birthday when more people than expected showed up. I really appreciate how they never seemed annoyed about having to move around some seats and furniture to fit all of us. Will definitely go back many more times!
If you’re looking for amazing cocktails in a non-pretentious space served by polite and attentive staff, this is your spot. I’ve been going here for years for a reason. Slightly off the beaten path from Astoria’s main drags, take the extra few minutes to walk here for great seasonal cocktails in an inviting atmosphere. Sit outside during summer days or cozy up on their couches inside to warm up during the colder months. Call ahead to make a reservation for larger parties as they do fill up on weekends.
Incredible cocktails of all flavour profiles, selection of craft beers, and appetizer-style bites. Lovely service and a moody atmosphere.
I really enjoy this place. Many others do to so be sure to reserve a table ahead of time. Prices are really good for how fresh and delicious the food is and the amazing drink selection. Staff is so welcoming, accommodating, and have a sense of humor. Decor and vibe is perfect. I always have a great night here.
This place is awesome. The crew that works the place is very knowledgeable about both the wide selection of available beer and the well curated wine list (the list is short but delicious and thoughtful). This place is my "go to" bar in Astoria. The ambiance is really laid back, great jazz music, and lighting. This is a great place for a first date or a delicious beer after a long day at work.
Great and sophisticated atmosphere-- beautifully decorated! Very Comfy and great place to go for a relaxing night out of drinks with friends! Drinks were great! Love the Winter Mule, Fig-git about it (my favorite) Mull It over... Grove island was nice too! Great selection of various beers and cocktails. Staff was friendly and attentive, without being to intrusive. Will definitely make this place my top go to when you actually want to have a fun and laid back night out!
I came in to try some craft gin cocktails and they didn't disappoint! The ambience of the bar was amazing as well. Iwent as soon as they opened so it wasn't packed. But by the time I left the place, it was starting to fill up. As well as the bartender receiving numerous calls for reservations. And I can totally see why. I would totally come here again.
Mosaic is an incredibly fun, shockingly broad bar. Their cocktail menu alone is enough to keep you coming back over and over to try new things. They have a great selection of seasonal drinks and mainstays include unique takes on classic drinks. While the outdoor seating provides a nice opportunity for some people-watching, the cozy indoor space is an absolute must, particularly for a date. Service and mixing are fantastic and well worth the price.
Love Mosaic! I've lived in Astoria for years and always come back here even after moving away. The drinks are very well crafted; they have the regulars & mix up others for seasonal flavors. The bar is a cozy, fantastic place to meet up with a few friends - they have couches, table seating, games to play and snacks you can order as well. And the staff is always so warm and welcoming!!
Great ambiance, very cozy and intimate and QUIET (I hate loud bars). Great for dates! It's low lighting as well, so it's good for ugly dates too! I had some sort of orange based cocktail that was amazing. Explore the drink menu, I doubt you will get something you dislike.
Lovely atmosphere and awesome cocktails. The cheese plate spread is pretty epic for the price. Grapefruit Nigroni it's amazing. Lavender French 75 as well. So far I've had six different cocktails from this place.
This spot is awesome..came here for a friend's birthday and many years. The spot is very cool. Great for happy hours and dates. The service was amazing. There was one person working that day, the manager. Unfortunately I forgot his name. He was everywhere. Making dirnks, the food, bussing tables and serving those seated outdoor. Give this man a raise. He did all with a great smile! The drinks were solid and so was the pizza. Of the three drinks I recommend the The drinks were solid and so was the pizza. Of the three drinks I recommend these two. SATURN The second most famous gin tiki drink after the Singapore Sling.. The original drink is credited to California bartender J. "Popo" Galsini, who won the International Bartender's Association World Championship in 1967. A GREAT MEZ- CALCULATION Sicte Misterios mezcal, Aperol lemon juice, cranberry syrup and Angostura Bitters served on a big rock with an orange twist Definitely going back soon.
The bartenders are passionate and friendly and the drinks are fantastic. My new favorite cocktail bar.
Really friendly staff and absolutely delicious cocktails! I had the summer special frozen mosaic punch and it was sooo good! The other drink was a mezcal base with a beet juice! Such a refreshing and earthy taste. The staff was really friendly as well. The space is really well decorated and was great for a cozy space as well as to grab drinks with multiple friends!
Good cocktails and bar snacks. Good, friendly service - a little slow when it’s busy. The design inside is cool and sitting outside and people watching is also nice.
Went here for our 1 year anniversary, we met at mosaic for our first date. We orders Deviled eggs, arugula goat cheese arugula flatbread. And the charcuterie board. Service was quick and we were able to eat outside. Highly recommend!
Very friendly staff especially our male server on Saturday night 2/8/25 around 9pm who let us in during a snow storm and found seating for us. (I’m so sorry I can’t remember their name.) Drinks were 10/10, highly recommend. Will visit again!😊❤️
Loved this cozy and dimly lit bar with ample seating options. Millennial hipster music was playing and I loved it. The drinks were incredible! Loved the green envy especially, and the house shots. Service was good. Definitely a local gem.
Astoria’s best kept secret. Fantastic cocktails, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and satisfying small bites. It has been my go-to spot for meeting friends and dates for a decade.
Love this place. Super low-key and cozy. Almost like if a speakeasy and your cool friend’s living room had a baby. Great spot to grab a cocktail without all the loud, annoying energy. Drinks are actually really good and the bartenders are awesome. Also, they have this cute little outdoor area when the weather’s nice. If you’re looking for a spot to catch up with friends or just decompress after work, this is it.
I have never felt so compelled to leave a review. This place is amazing for cozy sit and talk or be at bar. The bartender Lisa was sooooooo good to us. Not only she help me pick my selection and suggested food, completely so good! This is what deserves a great tip and the satisfaction of giving the tip. Oh man, let me tell u think the quality of was very high. Woah, atleast my experience was amazing and I had a great time there. I felt welcomed, what else do you know. 100% going there
We love Mosaic - such a gem in the neighborhood! Staff is a hardworking group of professional, friendly, and talented mixologists. Go early or make a reservation because it does get busy. Love the chill vibe and drink variety/creativity. Great place for a quick bite or to relax with friends or a date. Or take a seat at the bar and enjoy a conversation with Lisa, Amos, or Liam - kind people who are welcoming and fun!
Been here several times. Always great beer and great service. Brought my coworkers here for after work drinks and they loved it. We sat outside, it was very nice and chill. Perfect for those of us who want to talk and not talk over loud music or an environment that makes it difficult to converse.
A great craft beer bar to grab a delicious beers. They have a couple of beers on tap and many bottles & cans available. Unfortunately they don't offer flights, it would be nice to be able to try more different beers. The atmosphere was great and the staff kind. We had a great time here and would definitely come again.
They were busy on a Saturday afternoon (rightly so) but was able to accommodate our group of 4 without a reservation. The interior is cozy, staff is friendly, and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend the French lavender for something fresh and gin-based, or the chocolate mezcal for something Smokey and a little heavier on the palate. The spinach dip was fantastic and we scooped up every last bit; deviled eggs was a bit heavy on the mustard. All in all, a pleasant experience.
Amazing bar/restaurant with delicious cocktails, great beer, and good food. The staff are super friendly and decor inside is awesome. Comfy couches to sit on, or sit outside along the quiet Astoria back-streets. Worried about being cold? Don’t! These space heaters keep you warm even on the sub-30 days.
Love this place! Super cozy and they have great drinks and good
This is a lounge. The atmosphere is intimate - perfect for a romantic date or just catching up with an old friend - with comfy couches and the right sound level of the music. I think I've tried almost everything on the menu, and it's all been delicious! My latest visit included shooters (spicy cherry peppers stuffed with prosciutto and provolone), wine & garlic soppressata and blueberry goat cheese (party in my mouth!). I would like to see a few more food options, like a fruit plate, a vegetable crudite plate and veggies for the hummus. (Before I cut wheat & corn from my diet, I remember trying the guacamole and hummus and loving both. Wish I had something to dip in them now!) Their wine selection is modest but fantastically chosen and reasonably priced. Their draft beer selection is expertly chosen, and the bottled beer selection is quite extensive. Overall a great lounge.
I have gone to this place 2 times already. I love the ambience it is a small place but beautifully decorated. There is a small selection of food but a large section of drinks and customer service is amazing. I would recommend visiting.
This place is so cute! Love the decor and vibe inside. The drinks were fun and tasty. I’d definitely come back.
Mosiac has a great selection of wines, and seasonal beers. The bar is so comfy and cozy, except for the Sunday nights when they do True Blood viewings. The cheese and meat plates are great and crafted with care.
The ambiance is great love the decor. Reminded me of an episode of friends. great place to chill and be with a small or large crowd. Cozy atmosphere!!
Good beer selection and lots and lots of wine. Cool place to chill out. It's not cheap though. I think they have beer taps there now but didn't last time I was there. The food places are a little fancy and they certainly aren't meant to be you dinner. Cheese and cured meats mostly.
Great local bar that makes the Bohemian beer garden look bad... Tons of brews in the bottle or on tap. Great ambience. Comfy seats. What more could you want. Would definitely come back again
Killer bottle list (bier); smells-delicious small plates; table service in Victorian-inspired lounge. Cocktails made with love; well rounded draft list not over priced a penny; Handsom gentleman in vests running the show. Surprising little niche in off-street deep-Astoria you should definitely check out if you wanna know what this neighborhood does when outsiders aren't lurking.
Warm and cozy vibe, love the ambiance, comfy couches and low tables. Great drinks, extensive beer selection, only ordered the roasted nuts appetizer for food but they were quite tastey. Will definitely go back.
Lisa, Liam, and Amos are hilarious, talented, and helpful! The atmosphere here is such a vibe. Drinks are amazing! My favorite drink to start or after dinner is the chai martini. So good! Cool seating and great AC. Sometimes even on a Friday night my friends and I go play board games at the table and drink before it gets too busy! Definitely a must when visiting Astoria.
Cute spot, kinda weird sitting arrangement, but I get they’re trying to have a certain atmosphere (which is nice!) and accommodate as many people as possible. Drinks were good!
Very nice & lively spot in northern Astoria. Found my way here this weekend and had a pleasant time. The space was near capacity from the time I walked in around 8pm up until I left around 1130pm. Their drink menu includes a rotating selection of beers on their ten draft taps, a fairly extensive selection of bottled beers (I would estimate 20-30 kinds), a modest selection of wine, and a menu of specially cocktails that utilize some interesting techniques like smoked woods, singed citrus zest, and house-made tinctures. They serve a modest selection of appetizers and finger foods from their behind-bar prep kitchen such as meat & cheese platters and homemade guacamole & chips. On the negative, the music volume was constantly pretty high, causing the ambient conversation level to be equally high. Personally, I did not like the smells of the seasonal hot cider drinks because they were very strong around the part of the bar I was sitting at; but otherwise it wasn't an issue when away from the bar.
Fantastic drinks and a great atmosphere! The food was solid — I’d definitely recommend the cheese board and the fig and arugula flatbread. It’s an ideal spot for a first date: cozy, stylish, and not too loud. That said, the service could use some improvement. We were brought the wrong dishes twice. We didn’t touch them since we knew they weren’t ours, but the staff didn’t do much to acknowledge or apologize for the mix-up. What’s more concerning is that it seemed like they may have taken the untouched dishes and served them to another table. If that’s the case, it feels a little unsanitary — after all, how could the waiter be sure we hadn’t interacted with the food? Overall, I’d still go back, but I hope they tighten up the service and food handling protocols.
I recently visited this establishment with my best friend, hoping to enjoy a nice drink and some food. However, our experience was absolutely terrible. After only finishing our first drink, we were kicked out for no reason at all. It was only 8 PM in the morning, and there were hardly any customers in the place. We were shocked and confused as to why we were being treated this way. To make matters worse, we suspect that the reason we were kicked out was due to racism and xenophobia. The waiter who rushed us out to take another table after KICKING the first waiter we had in first place, was incredibly rude and unwelcoming, despite us being paying customers. And the quiche guy with gray beard who was serving us was equally unhelpful and unprofessional. We received no explanation for why we were being asked to leave, and we were treated with utter disrespect. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The staff is clearly intolerant and unwelcoming to people from different backgrounds. Do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment at all costs.
Visited this Bar and was met with rudeness from the owner, which soured my experience. A bar’s atmosphere greatly depends on the hospitality shown, and unfortunately, it was lacking here. I hoped for a better encounter but was deeply disappointed. Due to this, I definitely don’t recommend this place at all. Stay away from this place. Improving customer service could make a big difference for future patrons.
