Lupita is the best barista. She always makes my drinks PERFECTLY. The one time I ordered and she wasn’t there and it was like it wasn’t even the same drink. I will only order if she is there. Her drinks are to die for.

I was pleasantly greeted by Sami before ordering my holiday drinks. I had an issue with one of my gift cards and Sami was very helpful in directing me to the correct channels to resolve my issue. I definitely recommend coming to this Starbucks compared to other ones in the area.

If you are in the shop at around 7 AM or 2:30 PM, you know why this store has the highest volume of customer per sqr foot in Queens (may be in NYC, my opinion). The staff here took a lot of abuse from the impatient customers here, yet they manage to be courteous mast of time. Love this shop here, and they do have a steady local followers making you almost feel like a local mama papa store in the area. The local residents even exchanges gifts with their favorite staffs. Very lovely.

When I come to New York I often camp out here to work virtually if it's a weekday. The staff has been very welcoming and And they always do well with my orders. The food and drink is as good as any other Starbucks location but the service and feeling of community is especially warm and welcomed there.

Not too sure about the food, but I can say the coffee is great and always done correctly-thanks Susan and Daniela, always welcoming, with friendly banter. Cool atmosphere, always clean and well lit. I usually get the dopio, yes it’s boring but they never get it wrong. My wife has a particular dietary requirement with oat milk.. coffee frap..yup never wrong ..kudos to the team…

Believe it or not, their coffee prices are lower than some of the bodegas in this area. The service is top notch, the people working there seem to work very well together. They don't skip the courtesy notes on the cups when it's busy, they greet people when they walk through the door or get to the counter, they're polite, chill, friendly, they have filled my Starbucks tumbler with water when asked - I could rave about the service at this location for a long, long time because they really are that great, but maybe you should just make this your spot and experience it for yourself. The coffee is good and fresh. Again, the prices are better than some of the bodegas and cafes in the surrounding area, and they keep the place clean and well stocked. It's a nice place to sit and watch the trains come in and out of the station (especially if the upstairs is open). Thank you!!

Great experience and very friendly staff. Plenty of tables to sit but they get taken early and different times of the day, so use google “busy times” feature to check. Upstairs area for group studying, but they are stool without backs so may hurt your back after a whole.

Went on one of my mystery book shopping excursions, I landed on ditmars Ave. Haven't been near this street since pre-HS. Did not know elevated train runs on this part of the ave. Plenty of shops, an Orange Theory??? Met my partners at Starbucks and it was buzzing. Met several peeps going to Go Fest. The cashier, who looked like a teen, started talking to me about her husband?? Why 4 stars? I needed change, brought a cookie, and she asked if I wanted it warmed. I have been in Starbucks 100's of times and never knew that was an option. Our little secret

Same cookie cutter Starbucks you find everywhere in the universe. No bathroom on the premises? -- lose 3 stars !!! Decaf coffee pour over was better than expected? -- gain back one star. Super nice staff (even if some of them could use a bit more training)? -- gain back one more star.

The lines were long as usual for the stores in this shopping area. There aren't many tables to sit and work. One cool thing is that the have alittle label with you name and you order that they put on your cup so there is no question on what drink is yours.

Totally agree with everyone that they need to work on space for seating, but I had a really wonderful experience today: I placed my to go order at the wrong place and they were so kind to make the order with them instead of me heading all the way to the other side of Astoria. Which made me happy as I had my baby and puppy with me.

Whenever I buy a sandwich, I feel that even though it’s on the expensive side, they don’t skimp on the ingredients. The way they make the double smoked bacon and egg sandwich is visually satisfying, with all the pieces of bacon lined evenly across the whole sandwich. The iced coffees also are always good. My only real complaint is that I often pay extra for extra caramel and they just plop caramel on top and it’s often not any extra than usual. I notice it varies by store, but when I ask for extra caramel, I want it lining the inside of the cup so that it mixes with the drink, which at most locations is what they do.

Not many people but people have chairs all over and occupied with bags and book so not enough seating. Tables and comon areas were not kept clean.staff very distracted.

Debated on how many, but 3 stars should do considering there are a majority of helpful and commendable workers. But I feel as a citizen of this neighborhood to do the community a public service in warning people of the she-grinch-groucho that works here (9/11 2 - 3:30p.m. shift). I don't leave reviews, or especially single people out, but man oh man. Be careful not to ask her any questions or reconfirm your order because you just might have a finger bitten off. You're in the "service & hospitality" industry. If you don't want to cater to people, (the bare minimum atleast) you should reaffirm and reconfirm your priorities. I feel worse for who ever has to quell that snappy storm. Good luck on your caffeine quests fellow citizens

This Starbucks is fairly small and doesn't have much seating. There are some strange people who come here. I guess you find that at a lot of Starbucks but it's especially uncomfortable here because of the small space. I wouldn't spend more than a few minutes sitting here -- just take it to go and avoid interacting with the freaks. In any case, there's nothing special about this Starbucks. If you want Clover-brewed coffee, go to the one on Broadway. That one also seems to have less weirdos and more down-to-earth student types.

They are obviously struggling with major animosity between the workers and management. Today (June 25) they went on strike when I happened to arrive for my mobile order and I was stopped at the door. After a minute they allowed me inside just to grab my drink and then made to leave immediately. Even on good days there is some ongoing issue with the mobile app going down. Or the app is operating, but almost every menu item is shown as “sold out at this store.”

The cashier is such a nice person. The barista on the other hand...lawd!! Ok, so is it mandatory that Starbucks baristas make their regulars drink first, because this always happens. Not only did I order first but you also had the nerve to eff up my order. Why though?! I get that you know their order by heart but come on, why waste my time. Good bye Starbucks 👋. Yuh cancelled.

Nice coffee on a good location. Helpful and hard working crew. Place is small but they design it good for the maximum seats to fit without suffocating the place. Sometimes people are taking too much time on the seats. I like the my coffee but there are coffe grains at the bottom of my cup. It tasted good other than that.

I avoid this location if possible because each time I go someone is just unkind. One time I ordered a sf drink and was given a full sugar drink instead. When asked if I could have it fixed, the girl gave me a snotty look and said she figured I just wanted the fat free milk. I had to explain that I'm diabetic, and no I ordered what I actually wanted. Today went in for the frap deal and had to ask multiple times about my mobile order I could see on the counter next to him. Barista ignored me until I leaned in too close and was much louder than necessary. He huffed about the inconvenience but finally gave me my drink. What's the deal? I try to be nice, but the service here is so unnecessarily rude.

This Starbucks is always crowded. On my last visit the music was so loud. Also, the bathroom is for employee only but they give the bathroom code to some customers not all and will tell you to use CVS bathroom across the street.

I love coming here to study but the fraps are either a hit or miss. I have had the worst chalk tasting, disgusting Java Chip frappachino here but also, one of the best Carmel frappachinos. Be careful what you order. Plus they are pretty salty at the drive through.

Not enough seating. Recently can no longer use the bathroom. To top it off, they get my coffee order wrong 50% of the time. I only order here when I know I won't have time to stop at one close to work.

I think the staff are doing the best they can given the circumstances. The place is filled by young people after the local schools let them out. Some are customers but most are just looking to hang out. I had an incident in early may during which 6 male kids between 16 and 18 decided to eat stolen candy from the near by CVS. They also roll their afternoon joint up there. These "kids", who are in fact young men, went to second floor and threw cookies and candy down at patrons. They hit me with candy. I went up to speak to them and was threatened with assault outside. I escorted them downstairs and told them to get the F___ out. They did leave but spit on me and threw candy as they left. Then they waited outside and made obscene gestures and waited for me to come out. I called the 114 Precinct. The police made a report of harassment but there is little that they can do. Patrons have laptops destroyed by the same group. A worker has been assaulted and when this person defended himself, the company fired him. Its best not to go to this location between 3 and 6 pm. I'm 56 and not interested in fighting with teenagers. I blame corporate for their silly woke policies. instead of the concerns of paying patrons.

Food quality was decent but omg this has to be the messiest Starbucks I have ever been to. Garbage overflowing, and no napkins in dispensers. I went to the counter to ask for some and they said they didn't have any.

Not planning to go back to this location. After placing an order, I asked for my kid daughter to use the restroom. We were told there is no restroom. Untrue, of course, since I have used their facilities at least twice in the past. Even for a paying costumer, even for a kid, nope, cant use it. Not sure if they were lazy or just blindly following orders.

Update: Deducting three stars as this is not the place to go if you want to sit and drink coffee. The tables were filled and some had crumbs or spilled drinks so you can’t even sit at them. Noisy crowds of people disrupt the atmosphere and the upstairs seating is very sparse too. ****old review: Very pretty new starbucks. the employees were welcoming and the bathroom was tidy.

I think this is the kind of place to order your coffee or snacks and eat it elsewhere. Few tables and chairs and they usually get hogged up by the same crowd of retirees with nothing to do. The food and beverages are average and sometimes things are out of stock rather frequently. They used to have a public bathroom and then made it employees only which is extremely disappointing. The manager is awkward to speak to and a lot of the employees come and go. Some are friendly and some are ok. The place isn’t bad just nothing special overall.

Many times I've come in here and asked for "extra room" in my americano coffee, with an extra shot, and no matter who is at the counter, you constantly fill it up with water to the top. Whenever I bring it up to the person managing the counter, I'll get the nod, and you'll pour out the excess water in the trash. The hole point of asking for an extra shot is to get stronger coffee, not for you to dilute it by filling it all the way to the top. This means that when you pour out the extra water in the trash, you've essentially poured out the extra shot along with it!

I go there every evening for a cup of coffee Unfortunately Jonathan works one night a week when he is there the store is very professional and very clean every night you think you’re walking into a discotheque extremely loud music and rap music if you want to go there and read and have a cup of coffee this is not the place to go to unfortunately I’ve complained repeatedly to Corprit and it only continues and it doesn’t have that many tables for young people picking up food from McDonald’s and eating it in Starbucks and paying customers have nowhere to sit hopefully it will Get better because this is a convenient place for me

I'm sitting there, like I generally do in a starbucks, doing some work. I get up to use the bathroom, and a sign says "employees only". I asked them for a code, and I'm told that it's shut down. What kind of a coffee house doesn't let customers use the bathroom? Worst Starbucks ever.

I lovereee starbucks i have it everyday from manhattan uws because that’s where i’m from but the pink drinks they make here are honestly horrible i know whag a good pink drink taste like but here they make it disgusting im sorry but it really is do they use diffrent stuff to make the drink then every other starbucks location is or what they workers are kind but the drinks they make are awful and it actually hurts my stomach when i finish drinking it but when i drink it from somewhere else it doesn’t and it’s not a cheap drink so it’s very disappointing

Understaffed and thus SLOW! Today was the third time I waited 25 minutes to get a plain coffee. At the 25 mark I just left without anything even though I’d already paid. This is New York City I don’t have time for this silliness. I cronically wait around 15-25 to get a more complicated drink but a cup of coffee? nothing special? Today was the third strike for me here so I will not be returning to this location again. Corporate really needs to look into the understaffing that makes this happen it’s comically bad business practice in a city like this to wait without any service.

As an ex barista myself I find it incredibly troubling that a drink that takes two steps, approximately 10 seconds to prepare (an iced coffee), is ALWAYS made last. Why am I waiting 8+ minutes for a drink I ordered remotely as I watch people that literally came into the store after me get theirs first. Also, five employees. Only three helping customers with countless ordered cups littered on a milk-spilled counter. I’ll go buy a 3$ coffee somewhere else.

The staff was not the friendliest. I was willing to buy something and wanted to use the restroom. was told no, it is for employees only can't I read the sign. I was then told to go across the street to another Eatery so it's exactly what I did. You would think after all that has happened about the restroom, this would not occur. Starbucks, thank you for helping me discover a new spot right across the street from your shop!

Wish I could give a minus stars. This place is disgraceful. Its a beautiful store, obviously brand new...but their workers are horrendous. I wish I got this workers name, because she was a nightmare. I was so frustrated and late for work I had to run. This is the second time I've been in there and they made us wait LONG and ruined the order. Today they made my order hot coffee instead of ice...I said just give me ice oll dump it in, I gotta go. She refused and made me wait while she made a new one. Even her coworkers were like give her the ice and drink.im gonna get her name and put it on blast. Their the worst. I wish they kept the employees from the old dirmars Starbucks. These kids are clowns.

I just order a doppio espresso macchiato with triple shot and all I ask for is 4 packets of sugar. What is wrong with the staff that they can't be bothered to read and mix in the 4 sugars? This place has no outlet to charge cell phones and laptops! There are so many cafes in Manhattan and the reason why I would go to Starbucks because I could do my work and enjoy some drinks. Without charging stations, forget it!

My pregnant wife a paying regular costumer bagged the manager on the floor " Francisco" to let her use the bathroom. He was rude and careles . told her to walk across the street and ask at CVS to use their bathroom. Very desapointed. My family and I will not go back. If you can avoid this place. Extremely rude stuff. This happened today, JANUARY 30TH 2020 at 2 pm.

Every week for at least one day you cant order online at this store. Not sure what the issue but is very inconvenient to wait for then to open the door or stay in line specially with no parking. I over hear a employee saying that the reason some employees are not happy working there.

I visited the Starbucks at 22-28 31st St, Astoria, NY 11105 today around 12:30 P.M. and had a disappointing experience. When I asked a staff member for the bathroom code, she stared at me aggressively, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I understand NYC is fast-paced, but kindness and professionalism should still be a priority. I hope the staff at this location can work on creating a more respectful and welcoming environment for all customers.

Went in to get my daily oatmeal and all these young KIDS you have behind the counter are tied up into personal conversations. The one kid that made my oatmeal just had his fingers in his teeth, looking at them on his phone...look at your cameras between 935 am and 945 am...then proceeded to make peoples food with no gloves???? Unsanitary & digusting. Will NOT BE GOING BACK HERE. GROSS AND THE MANAGER OR DISTRICT MGR NEEDS TO FIX THIS! ON TOP OF THAT HE SERVED ME THE NUTS WITH OATMEAL. I HAVE A NUT ALLERGY AND ASKED FOR BROWN SUGAR AND RAISINS ONLY. THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM CAUSE YOUR TEAM IS NIT PAYING ATTENTION!!!!WHEN THIS STARBUCKS WAS ON THE CORNER, NEAR THE BANK, YOU HAD MORE PROFESSIONAL TEAM MEMBERS.

not enough seating they have tables upstairs stating they only keep it open from certain time frames sounds like a load of crock if you ask me on top of it the tables upstairs aren’t only UGLY they serve no purpose it’s an accident waiting to happen they’re so small a 2 year old could sit there. It’s like picking up your coffee from the ground while you’re sitting. Too many kids and teens occupy the entire place for hours we need another Starbucks on Ditmars that doesn’t have this issue. I’m going to simply start going to Starbucks elsewhere.

Today I wanted to use the restroom. They have 2 but DANIELLA the shift supervisor keeps 1 locked because she is too lazy to clean it.I had to wait on line for 10 minutes to use it.THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A STORE THAT IS SO BUSY.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had at a Starbucks. The cashier Kim was giving me nasty looks while I was ordering. While choosing a drink, I noticed one of the juices was already open, so we put it back and grabbed a sealed one. Kim questioned me with attitude for absolutely no reason, and when I politely asked why she was speaking to me that way, she told me she had been working from 4 a.m. to 5 p.m. and was tired and had a rough day. Instead of correcting her behavior, she dismissed me with, “Just go and wait for the manager if you have a problem.” Completely unprofessional. (Kim clearly doesn't care about what the Manger would say) Then the barista Ensio came over and asked me to leave the store, (I was with my young kids), even though I stayed respectful the entire time. I was removed simply for asking not to be spoken to with attitude. No disrespect, just me trying to understand why I was being treated that way. This store is clearly mismanaged, and the staff are taking their frustration out on customers. I will never return, and I hope corporate seriously addresses what is happening at this location.Store #7555, 22-28 31st Queens

At this location, the garbage area is consistently overflowing with trash, the wait times are consistently out of control (for both mobile orders and in-person orders alike) and the employees look like they are running on empty because they are doing the jobs of 2-3 people at once. It is clear that Starbucks Corporate is intentionally keeping this location understaffed, which is the main reason why this cafe is running in such poor condition. When you understaff your cafe, don't pay your workers a living wage, and engage in union-busting practices, this is the end result. I encourage my fellow customers to support SBWU (Starbucks Workers United) and stop shopping here until the strike is over and the Starbucks workers get a fair contract. Both customers and workers all deserve a much better experience.

I arrived today at 3 AM in 40° weather for the new glass bear cup release (I have pic/video date and time stamp proving I was the first one there) and waited until 5 AM. Around 4:30AM, the employees arrived, locked themselves inside, bagged all the cups, and purchased them for themselves before opening the doors—violating Starbucks policy. When I asked about it, they were dismissive and told me to wait for the manager, who later turned out to be the same employee. After I mentioned what happened to another customer, I was told to leave. This behavior was dishonest and disappointing, especially from store leadership.

This Starbucks always makes the worst drinks, matcha specifically. You can tell they don’t care. Every other Starbucks they make drinks perfect but here they have no shame delivering the bare minimum and inconsistent drinks. Get your beverages anywhere else.

I really wanted to like this Starbucks, but the inconsistency is beyond frustrating. Every visit feels like a gamble — one day the drink tastes perfect, the next it’s completely off. It’s as if no one follows the same recipe or even checks the order details. I’ve asked for simple modifications (like less ice or extra syrup), and somehow it’s ignored almost every time. It’s disappointing to pay premium prices for drinks that rarely come out right. The employees at the 31st Street Astoria location don’t seem to pay attention to order details or follow instructions properly, which makes the whole experience feel careless. Starbucks really needs to focus on training their staff at this location to make crafted drinks correctly and consistently. A little attention to detail and better training would make a huge difference for customers who expect their orders to be made right.

I wanted to bring to your attention an unfortunate experience I had at your store today. I stopped in while working and received a call as I walked in, so I paused briefly at the first available table to take it before placing my order. While still on the call, I was unexpectedly and loudly addressed by an employee from across the store, telling me I could not sit without purchasing something. I responded politely, stating I would be ordering shortly after finishing my call. She rolled her eyes and turned away. Moments later, the same employee began loudly criticizing me again, this time while I was still on the phone about to walk up to place my order. This occurred in front of other customers and staff. I addressed her directly, letting her know I found her behavior unprofessional and disrespectful, but she dismissed me again with an eye roll and walked away. At that point, no other employees stepped in to assist or take my order, despite being present. Additionally, the music in the store had been turned up noticeably loud, which further disrupted the experience. I understand policies must be enforced, but I believe there are appropriate and respectful ways to communicate with customers. This situation could have been handled much more professionally. I hope appropriate steps are taken to address this kind of conduct.

Very bad service most of workers not nice ,, I asked for my regular coffee at 8:20 pm she refused to give me. The store close at 9:00 pm but the worker name Stephanie doesn’t follow the rules of the Starbucks campany ,, she chooses her own way . This the second times I got this issues with her ,, even though I’m a customer of this store for over 20 years,, since they were in the corner of Ditmars and 31 street. It’s giving this brand name a bad reputation.

Placed a mobile order here for pickup and was SHOCKED when I walked in. I almost thought I walked into the wrong place because it was SO dirty with trash everywhere and spills on the floor that weren’t bothered to be cleaned up. Trash overflowing from the neglected garbage cans . This is completely unacceptable for the brand and the Starbucks experience. Corporate would be very upset to see their locations operating in such a way.
