The food here is amazing and the owners are wonderful. We had several large platters delivered to us for a large staff lunch. Everyone was happy! The food is fresh and delicious.

This place on Ditmars and 31st Street. at the last stop on the train. The food is amazing. The spices they use will blow your senses away.. Nice atmosphere, the cooks are amazing and the staff is great to ..they explain what the items are. The best falafel ever, also there is a delicious falafel with sesame seeds & onions. All the food here is so fresh! After eating the hummus here, I am always disappointed when I eat it elsewhere. And please try the lentil soup, rice pudding & baklava😋

Sharwarmania catered our baby shower luncheon. The food was delicious; everyone loved it. Jimmy was so helpful, and suggested substitutes when we wanted items to be vegan friendly. They delivered and supplied items such as utensils that we weren’t expecting. Can’t say enough about what a positive experience it was. Would order from Shawarmania again!

I come to this restaurant every time I’m in town! Every Monday & Tuesday, my mouth is watering for some falafel. It’s so delicious, the hummus plus Arabic salad. The portion size is GREAT, every time I come in, I’m taken care of! I am so thankful to know this place, It’s a pleasantly healthy meal and the service is ALWAYS on point. Unfortunately, I did not have the pleasure of receiving my food, due to a grubhub issue. However, the owner extended his courtesy by assisting me in getting a refund, and then went out of his way to contact me back to inform he called grubhub on my behalf and requested a refund for me. We recently used Shawarmania for an event we had and the food was absolutely amazing. Everyone enjoyed the pitas, the wraps and the salad. It was flavorful, arrived warm and was extremely fresh. I would definitely recommend trying this establishment if you have not. The overall fan favorite was the Philly cheese wrap.

Food was delicious! I ordered something I wouldn’t normally get at a shawarma spot (chicken caesar wrap) and it was SO GOOD. Sauce and flavor were on point. I got to try the chicken shawarma sandwich with my husband’s order and, again, sauce and flavor were on point. To top it off, I was curious about the dolma but it was cold vs warm (which is how I prefer dolma) so they let me try it on the house. They were confident in their product, as they should be it turned out! Also delicious. Perfect soft texture. All in all, a great food experience! Definitely recommend.

Food is very good, lots of variety, not to expensive. Employees were especially kind. Platters are quite big for about 2-3 people to share. Good place for up to 5 friends to go. I went with 11(including myself) and although it was a little bit small we were able to fit without being squeezed. 10/10 would recommend.

A lot of the food here overlaps with my family's cultural cuisine, so I worried it would taste like the cheap fast food version, but no. Been eating here regularly since I moved to Astoria. Absolutely delicious shawarma. This meal definitely satisfied my cravings. Not only was the shawarma and baklava some of the best I have tasted, but their customer service is fantastic as well. The staff was super nice and accommodating. When they messed up my sandwich order, they let me keep that one and threw in my correct sandwich order for free. I have ordered catering to the UES many times over the past year and this is always a top hit for lunch! Everyone in my office looks forward to the delicious mixed pita and sandwich trays. The prices are right for the value, because these are loaded with goodies. It is not easy to please everyone, but with Shawarmania, there is something for everyone. Despite our distance from the restaurant, the food always arrives perfectly on time and hot! I especially love that there are vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. I got food delivered from here to my hotel when my connection flight got cancelled from LGA and that was the only good thing that happened to us on that frustrating evening. OMG when I used to live in queens this was my go to spot all the time. I’ve tried everything on the menu. Everything is on point. When I’m dieting I get their Arabic salad with either the beef or chicken kebab. Both are delicious. When I’m not counting calories I indulge on their crispy fries topped with garlic sauce and chicken shawarma or kofta. The food is delicious and the price is right. The guys working are friendly and super fast.

Excellent shawarma and open during holidays. The hot sauce is fire. Nice amount of kick but not overwhelming, creamy and very flavorful. Pita sandwiches comes with a nice veggie medley including beets which is unique and very delicious.

If there was an award for the best French fries in the world… this would be it. This place is a low key in Astoria but boy do they have the greatest fries. I don’t know how they make it but it’s out of this world. Trust me, try it and thank me later lol

Shawarmania is the best of the best when it comes to Halal Food. I havent tried anything else other than the falafel & chicken bowl/Pita but I wouldn't doubt that other menu items are as good or even better. The flavor on the food is 10/10. The food is never too greasy and oily (like other spots). I never feel bloated after eating here. Great salad options too to go with your meal. The owner is very friendly and hardworking and so are his staff. I always keep this place as a lunch option when my route is in Astoria (amazon driver). We have ordered from Shawarmania in the past for our office meetings, and we ordered from them for our student event this time (30 people). Their shawarmas are delicious and everyone enjoys the food. The quantity is great, and Omar was kind enough to bring us a complimentary baklava tray with our order. He always arrives on time or before time (which is much appreciated). We will be ordering from them again in the future!

The food here was amazing! I had a small get-together and everyone really enjoyed the food. Everything was ready by the time I got there, I was literally able to grab it and go. I ordered the mixed pita sandwich tray, sampler tray, and pita chips. The portions were generous and filling. There was even enough for people to take home leftovers. This place is amazing and the chicken soup was fresh and hot and delicious especially in this cold freezing weather we're experiencing. Really nice Shwarma place, with a wide variety of Mediterranean as well as American Food. I would give 5 stars for food taste, portion size, and service. This place is very conveniently located right next to the Subway stop of Astoria Ditmars N, W, Q lines. This place has a big menu and various deals are offered diring different hours of the day. Seating space is not their best suit, yet there are plenty spots for 2 people, and a couole of tables at either end of the restaurant can seat up to 4 people. The place is very clean, and the food was being prepared in a clean and hygienic manner

I had to leave a review here - the food is always fresh! The meat, salad, rice, and snacks are all great. My favorite dishes (and the ones I recommend) are the chicken sandwich and the chicken bowl. I've tried many halal food carts in Astoria,Jackson Heights, and Manhattan, but this spot is easily three times better. Hope they stay the same and don't spoil the quality!😉

Went after work, wanted a cheap and delicious meal. I got the chicken pita with falafel on the side. The cashier/cook was nice and amicable & made my food quickly. It was so good! They were generous with the falafel, it was crunchy but still soft inside. My only complaint would be they add a bit too much cream but it was amazing nonetheless. The photos i took were taken after many bites but😂 it was too delicious

Pretty cool little place. They do have seating but not a lot, so depending on when you get there you may be standing or carrying your food out. Service is good, people are nice, and the place is clean. Food is good, and the cheeseburger 🍔 was really good. Chicken is super juicy and seasoned good, beef cheese fries were good. Everything we received was really good and I definitely recommend this place, whether you are eating in or carrying out, definitely worth it.

I can’t say more great things about this place! I ordered from them for a work catering event and everything was amazing from start to finish. Delivery was on time, communicative staff, presentation is incredible, food is super fresh, truly can’t say anything negative. We have ordered from them multiple times for a reason. Highly recommend! I mean look at that fruit platter!! Gorgeous, tasty, and fresh-what more could you ask for? Small shop just underneath the subway station. Few options with shawarma - wrapped or in the pita pocket. Few veggie options. The staff is pretty helpful and complaisant. The prices are seems reasonable, portions are large. My beef shawarma was juicy, taste and very promising to make me came back.

Great Shwarma and Falafel in Astoria ! The chicken thighs are so tender and the falafel are light, crispy and perfectly seasoned. They catered a big office lunch and the food was hot and delicious. Much more expensive than the food vendor street carts & trucks that are lined up along 31st. They use a pita pocket than the traditional pita wrap were you get less meat&fixins so they are really concerned with "portion control"! They have a very clean kitchen and the food is fresh! Should have given more meat for the price...

They don't serve lamb or lamb+beef shawarma. They didn't give me a choice of what vegetables I wanted in my wrap. I wanted none - they gave me all of them. I'm not sure if that's standard or if there was a misunderstanding. I found the food disappointing but the portions and prices are GREAT and they're open late. Fine enough place to hit after a few drinks if you're out late.

Ordered mixed kofta, chicken, beef, cheese steak with wings and fries and I specifically mentioned tender cooked meat. They made the order in few minutes so I doubted whether the meat was tender since it takes time to make tender cooked meat. Two kabab skewers, beef came in small pieces were put in one round container when I thought this will come in a tray. Kofta was dried and was breaking apart in to pieces, wings was cooked on one side & other side was raw. Cheesesteak comes with bread but they put fries below the steak meat that had no bread at all and fries became damped. Chicken and beef pieces of meat tasted bad as well. Ranch was watery, but bbq sauce was good. Salad was ok. Overall not recommended.

Ordered a large platter of the lamb/beef but I think he heard me only say beef. Anyways, the rice was bland, beef was overcooked, dry, and tasteless. That it had to be one of the worst halal platters that I've gotten for $15+ (including tax). I much have rather ordered one from a cart on the street for a fraction of the cost. The veggies were fresh and the portions were large. Came with a warmed soft pita.

Their chicken shawarma wrap was dry couldn’t eat it without the white sauce and the red sauce they gave me it tasted spoiled. So yeah the red sauce was disgusting. Let’s talk about the chicken kabab rice bowl for 11$. It was full of dirty stale salad I mean the pickle smelled. The lettuce was turning brown. I did not need so much of that salad . Even the tiny rice and 4 pieces of chicken kabab that was in there okay had the price not been 11$ but 8$. So price is rip off for the quality and taste of the food

Tried this place for the first time. Not going there again. Even though the staff was nice and polite, but this review is about their food. Not worth it at all. Food is bland. No taste. They serve yellow rice which is not even cooked. Rice just feels half cooked. Lamb/beef has a weird smell to it. Their beef kebabs were just hand made into small rolled pieces. Not on a skewer like you would get elsewhere. Definitely not what is shown on their menu pictures. Ordered a crispy chicken burger but instead, again, got a chicken patty made out of hand (from a chicken kebab mixture). Would not recommend to anyone, unfortunately.

They have one of the dirtiest grills I have ever seen, unfortunately. They are trying to be generous, but it's okay. The name of the place is Shawarma, which is a Middle Eastern name, and you will be deceived when you learn that the shawarma sandwich they serve has nothing to do with real shawarma. An experience that will not be repeated.

Im so confused. I ordered shwarma from a place called shwarmamania. They served me stewed beef over rice for $13. Came with watered down mayo instead of even tzatziki. Also pickles that were unchewable and other random pickled items. Ruined my night. Also this is dirtier than OJ Simpson crime scene.

This place is seriously unsanitary. One of the workers (the owner) was outside smoking a cigarette, then came straight back in and started preparing our food — no gloves, no hand washing. That alone was enough to make us uncomfortable. On top of that, the guy working the front (Spanish guy) seemed visibly out of it, like he was high on something, which didn’t inspire any confidence at all. This isn’t even the first bad experience here. Overall, it felt unhygienic and unprofessional. Definitely not coming back. Overcharged, make sure to check your receipt before leaving. Wouldn’t recommend coming here at all tbh. Much better off getting junk food across the street from McDonald’s
