Vidali’s Pizza Astoria Reviews
Picked up late night take out. Pizza was excellent. People were kind. Ordered 2 or 3 deliveries in the past, because the food is perfect to my taste. only slip was a missed Gatorade but the driver went back for it. I'll keep coming back because of things like their buffalo chicken slice. 🤘 Chicken Caesar wasn't bad, and the Hawaiian was perfect; I'll be dreaming of that one until next time
Great quality grab n go pizza. Open late and always hit the spot

Love love loveeee ordering from here. I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I was a child always after school across the street. I mainly order online these days and it’s just as fresh as dining in!! My go to is the well done hamburger with a side of fries and a fresh hot beef patty! Love what you guys are doing please never change!! Much love from Astoria xoxo Allie 💓
I live nearby and have eaten pizza from every single pizza place nearby. This is one of my favorites. Regardless of preference the pizza is good and they are consistent.
We stayed in a hotel nearby and ordered pizza and pasta at this place. The food came in on time, hot, fresh and tasty. The delivery lady was kind and polite. Thank you!
Vidali’s is one of the few gems left in NY where they don’t overly grease their pizzas. HELLA delicious and perfectly balanced 🙌🏼💯
The staff is super welcoming and friendly. I love going here on a late night and having a pizza pie. The barbecue chicken pizza is a must!

Decent size for $2.75. Heavy cheese. Soft, chewy, thin crust with good flavor. Seasoning is not Italian at all. My guess is spanish ( really doesn't taste like Italian sauce, and left an unpleasant aftertaste after a while ). A filling slice, but not very flavorful. Rate this one at 78.

Haven't ordered from here in a few yrs (bad experience) but chose to do so yesterday evening. The food was surprisingly better, and the prices are pretty decent. The person taking the delivery order seemed annoyed, but 🤷♀️ the food arrived fresh and of good quality. My kids were pleased, so I guess we'll be ordering from here again 🙂
It was alright. Kind of bland but garlic powder and salt/pepper shakers are available along with parmesan. Pasta portions are huge; you can easily make it into two meals. Good for sharing if you’re into that.
Got delivery from DoorDash and was quick and everything looked good. Pizza was really good!! Mozzarella sticks were not. Don’t order those but order the pizza it was yummy.
First time here. Got 2 plain slices and a calzone (mozzarella and ricotta cheese inside). $12.50 Very good. I would go there again.

Did delivery. Salad included with my meal was missing (DoorDash refunded that part of my order though). Peperroni pizza wasn't bad for the price. The Chicken Parm and Whole Wheat Penne Pasta was just ok. Chicken was cooked well, but seemed on the blander side (maybe not enough seasoning). I didn't find the sauce to have much flavor on the chicken or the pasta either. Pasta was cooked al dente which I was ok with (maybe slightly tough), and the portion size was very generous. Bread was pretty average. Overall, good portions and plentiful range of options, yet there's room for improvement in the flavors.

They get an extra star because the staff are nice. But 1 star for food quality. They use the lowest grade of marinara sauce that has no flavor whatsoever!
I called to make sure they had Lentil soup. They said yes and it be ready for pickup in 10 minutes. It was the worst Lentil soup ever. One size only, small soup and $7. Hardly any Lentils.

Ordered a meat lovers pizza with extra cheese at ~10:45 PM on 10/24/23 for delivery to a hotel about a mile from this location. Delivery was expected to take 20-30 minutes according to the order tracking email. At 11:15, I called the store to check on the status of the order. They were initially unable to locate the order even though my credit card had been charged. After several minutes, they found my order, stated that for some reason it didn't "print" and assured me my pizza would arrive in about 30 minutes. This was approximately 11:20 at this point. 40 minutes later, just before midnight, the delivery driver shows up with what I thought was my pizza. I get back to my room, open the box, and behold the pizza is wrong. I did not get a Meat Lovers with extra cheese, I was hold a pepperoni pizza with onions. So, I called the store back to request a refund, and their first response wasn't, "we're so sorry you've waited over an hour and twenty minutes for the wrong pizza, we'll be glad to refund you your money." It was, "No, you got what you ordered." So I sent them some photos of the pizza I received and they said they'd work on processing a refund and would call me once completed. It's the next morning and I've not heard from the store yet. The food was okay. Nothing remarkable. I most likely won't be buying from here again, unfortunately.
Ordered a grilled chicken Caesar wrap and got a lettuce wrap.

Terrible customer service and cheated me out of my money. I was stuck in NYC on a layover due to weather. I ordered food from Vidali's when I arrived at the hotel using Uber Eats. The food was supposed to be there within 20 minutes, according to the app. After an hour, I called to inquire where my food was. I was told that the delivery driver had dropped my food on the ground and they had to remake it and that it would take at least another half hour to get food. Because I was tired and had to catch an early flight, I asked for them to cancel to the order and was told they would and would give me a refund. Well, I checked my credit card statement today and saw that they charged me for the food that was never delivered and the $5 pre-paid tip I gave to a driver who dropped my food and then never delivered it. I contacted the restaurant to ask why I wasn't refunded and was told that the person who worked that night didn't do it and because it was more than 24 hours, they could no longer give me money back, even though most credit card charges are pending within 24 hours. When I asked about the guy who was supposed to make the refund and what he had to say about this issue, I was told he was "on vacation for a week." I don't believe that. I was also told that even if he weren't on vacation still couldn't (read: wouldn't). I'm not sure why I'm being made to pay for multiple mistakes on this restaurant's part, but here we are... Stay away from Vidali's Pizza. They're dishonest in their business practices and have scammed me out of $30.
Very disappointed. I asked for marinara baked ziti and I got penne vodka, I told the person (cashier) I couldn’t eat it cause I’m allergic to haavy cream, they just gave me a random excuse and still charged me $21 for something I didn’t even touch.
Would rate it 0 stars if I could. They never delivered the food, and after being given the run around for 2 days was only offered 20% off a future purchase instead of a refund Never ordering from here again
