King Bee Austin Reviews
Amazing cocktails, great pizza and a super-chill atmosphere that is quickly disappearing in East Austin.
The lights and decor were fantastic, not sure if it's up only for Mardi gras but I hope it's year round, no door fee, but suggested donation instead, fantastic and welcoming atmosphere
Every neighborhood deserves a king bee, and every king does too
Old Austin vibes and atmosphere. Come here for a great cocktail, live music, events, and ample space to socialize.
Great place...Opens around 6pm...Going back soon!
Love King Bee for their cocktails, fun atmosphere and great music. Current food truck makes amazing hand rolls.
Loved this bar. Great drinks and cool space inside and out! The bartenders were also great, and let me tell you, I could have drank 5 more of those “Freeze Knees” if I was lookin’ for trouble 😜
Never know what the live events will be but it's always something entertaining. Nice patio
Drinks are strong! Lol. Outside area is nice and chill, and inside there's live music some days, and it has a pool table.
We had an engagement party at King Bee and had the best time! They allowed us in early to decorate. Staff was phenomenal and the party was a huge success bc of KB. I felt like the bartenders were especially wonderful. The emails sent to management were responded to in a timely matter. Would I go there again? Hell yeah I would! Everyone loved it.
This was a lovely place for a fun night. I went on a Saturday night, and it was lively but not crowded. There was plenty of seating, even for a relatively large group, and the drinks were great. The outdoor patio has a fire pit for cold nights.
Favorite new (to me) spot. The bartender was awesome and made the most lovingly crafted drinks for us. Really quiet on a Friday night, which is ideal. Great spot to grab a drink and know you will have a table! Didn’t try the food but there is a taco truck that looked great.
Great vibes at this bar. It’s especially cool right now with the spooky decorations. They take Halloween seriously here. For the quality of the cocktails and the price, this place can’t be beat. King bee is no ordinary dive bar. It just might bee my new favorite.
We always love stopping in to King Bee while in Austin, but we just came from the Black Lagoon Halloween Pop-Up and everyone did a stellar job. The decor was on point and they had the specialty cocktails out quickly considering the number of people in attendance. Also appreciate the mocktail and super low ABV options (pictured is the NA Satanic Panic).
Came here with a few friends on a Wednesday night and had a great time. Bartenders were really nice and accommodating, but the standout and most spectacular aspect of this place is the Creole food truck. Best kept secret in Austin. I think they used to have Golden Castle off their back patio, but as of mid-march when we went its a po-boy truck. I was losing my mind so much that I didn't write down the name but I think it's the The Original New Orleans Po-Boy and Gumbo Shop. We ordered a shrimp po-boy before we were about to leave just to try and I have never had a late-night meal so delicious. It's a mystery how they had fresh, soft bread and perfectly crispy and juicy fried shrimp at 1am. All 6 of us had our minds blown by how good it was that we got a second sandwich to take home. They also sell beignets which are out of this world. Little pricey for a foot-long sandwich at $22 but it's quality seafood, and I'd honestly pay $100. New favorite spot since it's not overrun by the college crowd either!
Buddy was performing for a band. The band rocked the bar was Tyte. Pool table made the evening all together good crowd. Nice little joint to visit.
So sad because I love coming here but got double charged for some reason and when I call for a refund they don't answer :(
