Rockstar Bagels Austin Reviews
A great bagel shop with a chill vibe. Bagels are alittle smaller than I’m used to but very fresh and soft nonetheless. Friendly staff! Super laid back vibe just come up to the window and pick up some bagels. Got the BYO lox and it always fresh and delicious. Thank you for a great bagel sandwich!
Solid bagel, and that’s coming from someone who grew up on Long Island, with experience as a bagel baker. I had bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The ingredients were fresh and the result was a tasty breakfast sandwich. The wait was longer than I expected, about 30 minutes, which was the only downside of the experience. But the sunny patio felt communal and up beat.
Our students and staff at a special education program in Bastrop were gifted some amazing bagels and several cream cheese tubs for our students' Christmas party this December. The bagels were festive, delicious and filling. We really enjoyed the variety of cream cheese spreads as well. Thank you, Rockstar Bagels and Marissa for supporting Bastrop Works!
Great bagels! We visited on a busy Saturday morning and only waited 20 minutes for our order. They have an order window with a decent amount of outdoor seating. The everything bagel with plain cream cheese was a lovely classic. My friend enjoyed their bagel breakfast sandwich. The servers were so kind and polite and patient.
This is such a cute bagel shop! I had my pups with me and they immediately made sure there was fresh water for them and offered treats before I even had a chance to order! So sweet! I got the veggie sandwich on a rosemary salt bagel and it was fire. Also ordered the hibiscus tea drink (I forget the official name of it) with coconut milk and that too was delightful! I will definitely be coming back!!
I loved my veggie have haven sandwich in rosemary salt and did added on mushroom and jalapeños with a side of peach basil cream cheese. I would say that they are very busy when i went and they stopped taking orders after 12:45 pm. Value - very fair Ambiance - it’s a small sitting area Service - helpful but it’s not a sit down service Taste - good Overall - I recommend ♥️ In the photo is my friends lox sandwich which she enjoyed as well.
I used to absolutely LOVE Rockstar (and still really do like it) but have started coming less and less because they seem to reduce the amount of food inside the bagel every time. It's unfortunate because Rockstar used to stand out from other bagel shops because of their portion size. Now, they are just like all the rest of them :(
Rockstar Bagels is exactly what I want from my “around-the-corner” local bagel spot. Affordable, adequately toasted, and they respect the schmear without drowning you in cream cheese. The bagel itself looks a little sad. It really could use a facelift with a fluffier interior and it wasn’t “everything enough” for my tastes. Generally, however, I’d say this is a solid bagel and the taste is right on point. If these showed up at an office breakfast, no one’s complaining. #GardenStateRates ⭐️⭐️⭐️
First time trying Rockstar Bagels. There was no line. The woman that took my order was nice. I asked her what her favorite bagels were and ordered both of her suggestions with cream cheese. I waited for about 10 minutes or so outside the pick up window for my order. I ordered the rosemary salt bagel with peach basil cream cheese and it was delicious. I also ordered the Jalepeno bagel with plain cream cheese. When I got home, I pulled out a card from the bag that said “sorry we had to swap your bagel. We were unable to contact you for your next choice so we chose the next best option based on your selection.” I guess the next best option in their opinion was a plain bagel. I was standing directly outside the pick up window the entire time. How could they not contact me? It’s not really about the flavor of the bagel. It’s more so about the customer service. They could have just opened the window and told me they were out of everything but plain, asked what I’d like instead and it wouldn’t have been a big deal. Feels a little lazy and dishonest.
I ordered a sesame bagel with cream cheese, not sure if there was a miscommunication but my bagel came with close to a half pound of cream cheese on it. It was inedible, which is unfortunate because the bagel itself seemed solid. My advice for rockstar would be to charge less for a cream cheese bagel and put less cream cheese on it, like a third or a quarter as much.
I stopped in this past Monday morning. Ordered a veggie sandwich. The cashier was less than pleasant. The sandwich was absolutely overpriced for what I received. I’ve had this sandwich in the past and it was significantly different in quantity of veggies. The listing of ingredients is basic: avocado, cucumber, red onion, spinach, tomato. I’m guessing they were running low on these things after a busy weekend, because ingredients were severely lacking or missing. If shortage of ingredients was the case then why not say, “we don’t have the ingredients for that sandwich right now?” Also, my everything bagel was a ball. Not a bagel. Not sure that I’ll be going out of my way to revisit this place anytime soon.
I would honestly rate this place 10 stars if I could — that is, before they got rid of their gluten-free bagels. They were SO good they sold out by 9 a.m. every single day. There is no other place in Austin that offers gluten-free bagels like that, let alone ones as good as Rockstar’s. As a small business in Austin, it honestly doesn’t make sense to offer something so loved and then take it away. PLEASE bring them back.
I’ve been to rockstar several before, always had a great experience. Today I ordered a turkey bagel with veggies through the app for pickup. I go down to pickup my bagel the hostess gave me a dirty look and handed me a bag with an attitude. Really for no reason at all, all I did was ask for my food. I get home and open the bagel and it’s soooo small with very little turkey and very little veggies and ordered an extra avocado for $1 and it was nearly nonexistent amount of avocado. The bagel also looked significantly smaller than past visits. This place has gone downhill. I won’t be going back.
