Salsa Limón Austin Reviews
First time trying the Asada bowl and Limon Agua fresca and this was a super delicious meal & totally worth it!!!
Love everything about this place. Walking in I could see the place was decorated nicely with a Mexican theme. The service was great. The food was amazing and authentic. Prices were reasonable. They had nice Spanish music playing in the background. I ordered in English but noticed everyone working was speaking Spanish and heard other customers ordering in Spanish. This place is the real deal!
Music is always bumping, William running the floor, taking orders, and slinging quesadillas/nachos/and what not. They give out free chips and salsa during happy hour and their ranch waters are $4.50! The quesadillas come with whatever meat you want(I got Pastor) and comes with beans and rice, phenomenal. The molca bowl is also great and comes with a side of chips to use a dip! It’s all quick and authentic mexican food, which is nice in a place that’s mostly tex mex:) I quite literally love this place!!!
I came here with my friend who is very sick and he said that it’s so good that he wants his last meal to be here. Best burritos in the area and Juana the one with the piercings and cool hair is amazing. Very talented and sweet.
Came in today after a long day and my bartender Juana was so sweet and friendly. Talking to her felt like talking to an old friend. I don't usually drink so she surprised me with a fruity drink that was phenomenal. The music was great and the food was delicious. Can't wait to stop by again soon!!!
Estefania took great care of us with our drinks and ordering food! Place is very clean and the staff are very friendly! Great background music and we loved the cheesy quesadillas, the pastor would be our favorite because it had a lot of meat. Great place to stop by while we were out thrifting!
Estephania took care of us today, we got a strawberry margarita, two bottles Dos Equis, three quesadillas. Margarita was a little weak but split into two whole cups, quesadillas were super cheesy and the pastor was our favorite. Great service and she always came to check up on us! Great place to stop by while we were thrift shopping!
Food is always good here. I get the taco combo and its a great deal for the price, 2 tacos with beans and rice for 7.99. The lady at the front, Estefania, always has a smile on her face and brings a welcoming environment :)
Great tacos snd margaritas and my most recent visit was especially wonderful! because of the warm, friendly welcome I got from Estef behind the counter. I was having a tough day and her smile turned it around!
I pass this place all the time and assumed it was mediocre. Went on a whim with friends today and wow this is some of the best Tex mex in the city, no exaggeration. Great margaritas and great tacos, you can tell the meat is cooked fresh and with actual love/flavor. It’s rare to find a place that you want to keep eating at even after you’re full. The best Barbacoa I’ve ever had
Best taco place in Guadalupe and possibly all of Austin. The favorito is a favorite. The Capitanes are to die for. Breakfast burrito with asada is a must try. The hot sauces the habanero (orange) and jalapeño (greenish) are my favorite. Try aguas frescas, the lemon one is 🤤 I come here at least 2 days a week. You should come and try it. Finally, the staff are always welcoming with a smile on their face. I love coming here for lunch and dinner.
Can’t wait to go back!! The tables are all picnic tables both indoor and outdoor seating is available. They have handheld menus as well as billboard style. Lots of options for both omnivores and vegetarians alike. I had the torta with mushrooms , added Avacado and let me tell you it did not disappoint! The bread was really good and so was the filing however I wish there would have been more mushrooms, I loved the salsa options the habanero and tomatillo were my favorite two! Everyone at my table enjoyed thier meals and the drinks. Others had the vegatarian tacos , asada quesadillas, a chicken taco, a asada taco which they really liked, and a asada torta. We had the frozen margarita which was quite chunky (the ice) , however the one on the rocks was good and a decent amount of liquor in them. The Paloma spritz was quite tasty too. This is counter service restaurant where you order get a number and they bring it out to your table …. if something is needed after food is dropped you have to get up and get it. However, The staff was nice each interaction we had and the food came out pretty quickly.
I wanted to share with you a great dining experience I had at Salsa Limon restaurant. The beef steak quesadilla I had, along with beans and rice, was incredibly delicious. My husband also enjoyed his burrito a lot. The staff was amazing, and the ambiance with the music was vibrant. The parking was convenient, and the restrooms were clean. The only downside was that they couldn't make the torta I wanted due to a vendor issue, hence the 4-star rating. I highly recommend trying out Salsa Limon for some tasty Mexican food!
Left visiting hospital downtown and were looking for something close and open late and came across Salsa Limon. Good food, tastes fresh, and served hot. Lots of choices for protein in a bowl, a taco, or burrito. Service was top notch. Will definitely stop in again! Hope they get larger cups though ;)
Opening day! The service was very friendly and the food came our quick. Seating was spacious and the place was clean. Parking available on the side. As for the food, it was tasty but portions were small for the price. The salad good but there was not enough meat (asada). The salsas were fresh but each had an interesting flavor that I would not go back for. The music was loud, but the vibe was fine. Maybe I’ll be back for a burrito or quesadilla.
Went here with friends and got a potato taco and horchata, both of which were excellent. My friends enjoyed their burritos. Only taking off stars because a dog was inside the eating establishment and nothing was being done about it. Not sure what Texas rules are like but that's so gross and unsanitary
Tacos were tasty - we had the chicken and pastor. Frozen margaritas were very disappointing, though. Both the strawberry and standard were mostly ice and had very little flavor of either lime or tequila (or strawberry). For $9.50 a marg, I’m very unimpressed, but the tacos were good.
Straight up disappointing. Michaelada tasted like death. Tacos were good but for 8 bucks and how small these portion sizes were I should be getting caviar. I could eat 15 orders of those tacos and still be hungry. Capitalism at its finest. The beans and rice were beans and rice. The chips were extremely salty. Chef must’ve had a personal vendetta against me.
The food is very low quality. Don’t go here if you’re looking for authentic mexican food, this place is just “cosplaying” being mexican. service was okay but took them so long to take my order. they have super loud music for no reason its really annoying.
One of the workers was very rude and unwelcoming, I tried to get a to go salsa container and he walked over and took it out of my hand. Very unprofessional. Other than that, vibes were good and karaoke was fun. Food was alright.
The menu has only one vegan option, and it's mislabeled, so the vegan sign is next to the taco with bacon and cheese. I asked an employee if the refried beans were vegetarian, and she said "they're vegetarian but not vegan, since they don't have pork but I think they have beef or chicken." Definitely avoid if you have dietary restrictions.
