Great snow cones before the Bat tour!

Never been here before today. Was told about this place by q couple of folks, and finally had the time. Got the watermelon flavor, plus some tajin and boy 10/10 on a hot day.

Sno Beach’s motto should be “The Universe’s Best Sno Cone”. I consider myself somewhat of a sno cone connoisseur (if there is such a thing)- I’ve sampled sno cones far and wide. I search for them all over the world. And yet, I find myself always coming back to Sno Beach in Austin TX. So soft, so good, so quick, so cheap. The fact that they changed to online ordering and aren’t a cash only establishment anymore is a blessing and a curse. It’s soooooo easy to eat a Sno-cone every day now. As the saying goes, “a sno-cone a day keeps the impending doom away.” Yeah, I think that’s it. Thank you, Sno Beach.

The on-line ordering is amazing and hope you guys keep this system in place!! Super easy and quick!! We come here everyday when we are in town to get our Sno-Beach fix!!

Nothing beats a snow cone on a hot summer day. Lines are long but worth the wait. It's cash only, so make sure you come prepared!

OH. My. Gosh!!! Soooooo amazing words can’t describe the feeling I have after my first time here. Great business too 1K stars

An Austin classic sno cone! Been coming here since the trailer was originally on barton springs and lamar. Quality seems to have improved back to normal.

If you want tasty flavored shaved ice that is made faster than the traffic along Barton Springs Road, then this is the place for you.

Great on a hot humid day. Many flavors to choose from and you can top it off with ice cream, cream, or caramel. Cash only!

This place legitimately has the best sno cone ice. So cool that they have Sweet tea flavor!

I just moved to Austin and can't wait to start making trips here again. I have been here every time I've visited Austin for the past 6 or 7 years - always delicious. It's amazing how they can get the ice to feel so creamy! I especially like the nonfruit flavor offerings.

Always a 5. I've been going every summer for the past 12 years and I've always gotten the same snow cone. White coconut with creme on top. My absolute favorite. I'll always try the others if I'm with friends or family but nothing beats the white coconut in my book!

B.K. Served us up the most AMAZING sno-cone on such a hot day!! He was so hospitable and kind. The shop was actually closed preparing for ACL but he went out of his way to make me and my sister the sweet treat we'd been craving--Cherry/Lime snow cones!! Be sure to visit Sno Beach at Austin City Limit! You'll LOVE it!!

My Uber driver recommended Sno Beach to us. Enough snow cone options to make your head spin, including adding ice cream! You'd never find it on your own as it's just off the main strip. But it was well worth it for a little slice of peaceful refreshment.

The best. Especially with ice cream! The staff is always super sweet. Fast and very clean. Well worth a stop even if you didn't know you needed one!

My go-to snow cone place. The employees are always super sweet and they let you sample any flavor. Portions are very generous. Just remember it’s cash only.

Definitely the most flavorful snow cone I've ever had! Just be careful of the bees flying around here.

What I love about these snow cones in particular is the fact that the shaved ice is actually so soft and not hard ice! And you can’t go wrong with all the selection of flavors!!

Loved Sno-Beach! I love that they have so many awesome flavors to choose from — I got the pink lemonade, which was so good! Both staff members were very friendly and offered great tips & recommendations. I ordered a small, and it was a great size for just $4! I wish I lived close so I could try all the flavors! Bonus points for the color-changing spoons and straws :)

The syrups aren't obnoxiously sweet and have a smooth flavor. I got the water melon with the sour spray. And the ambience was perfect, made better by the onion rings smell that hasn't changed since I was little.

An Austin original and like no other! Awesome flavor combinations, a great family friendly treat, and run by one of the best Austin natives that I know. Highly recommend all the way from Charlotte NC!

Friendly ladies, Ample portions of ice and syrups and flavors were excellent! I had my childhood favorite of tigers blood and my beautiful bride had a cherry and vanilla. Both very good and worthwhile of a return visit next time in Austin during the summer.

So good. Best shaved ice I've ever had. Was shown this place by an Austin native, and damn was she right. So so good! Ice is very fine, and the flavor is amazing. I got the mango and peach and it was wonderful in the 90 degree heat. Would go again absolutely!

This is, in my opinion the best snow cone in Austin. They have every flavor you could want. I like the sour flavors and the fresh fruit flavors. You can add ice cream, cream, caramel. The service is quick and friendly and they will let you sample a flavor if you haven't had it before. I've never been disappointed. It's only a shame they aren't open all year.

Good snow cones overall! The ice could be softer and more syrup should be added, but to workers are always nice. I dropped my snow cone (it was my fault) and they gave me another one for free. Wish the location wasn’t so hidden, but I love that the trail is just a two minute walk away!

This place is a family summertime favorite for us. My go-to is 50/50 Tiger Blood/Coconut, topped with cream. You should know they're a cash-only business, and cones range from $3-$5 or so. But they're generous with portions/sizes, so you're not going to feel like you got ripped off.

N

This place is right next door to the office. Perfect place for an afternoon pick me up when its 100+ degrees outside. Lots of flavor choices, which I've been told are all homemade. Can't go wrong with a cup of shaved ice and delicious sugary syrups.

This place is pretty great. Friendly service. Easy parking. I saw another review say cash only but this is incorrect. They accept cards

DO NOT GET THE MANGO. It both smells and tastes like cheese. However the workers were super kind and got us a replacement. I hope this was just a one time thing and their actual mango is not a pungent mess.

Great product and cute concept. The team service could use an adjustment. Liked the Tigers Blood but it’s a little off, definitely do not order a sugar free coconut, no bueno. But the service adjustment this is basic customer service delivery… when someone says “thank you” a good response would be “you’re welcome” instead of “yeah” Or absolutely no acknowledgment. Both happened to us. When a customer has a question, let the team respond instead of pulling the team member mid/response into a new task without regard to the customer at hand. All of this can be ironed out but at least the product was decent.

I've had snow balls in New Orleans and those are what I expect when I see those words on the sign. It's more like a slushy and less a snow ball. They hide the icecream way at the bottom so you think they left it out. I would make sure you get it with condensed milk on top.

M
Mark Tonsager

Same experience as another in that they close before the posted hours. Saturday the 17th, it was closed before 6:30. Love the snow cones when we can get one

H

It was nice for a hot day. The amount of syrup used was too much for my taste. I'll probably ask for 1/2 as much next time.

Ok so we go here at least 1 time a month. Have always loved them but this visit was a waste of my $20. None of our cones had any liquid in the bottom. Basically we we’re eating ice with a very minuscule amount of flavor. If I didn’t have to drop off my grandkids I’d have gone back. I might have to look somewhere else because $20 for treats that are no good is expensive in my opinion.

Forced you to order online, which is a disaster. I ordered 6 drinks and only got five because they ran out of an ingredient. Email and confirmation texts said nothing about an item removed.

It's great when they're actually open. The last two times we've driven over during their stated business hours, they've been closed and there's no note or any explanation. Before that, we went once at 7:30pm and they were in the process of closing early. If you can actually get a snow cone, they have tons of flavors and the snow cones are huge. But I think we'll find another place to go that is actually open when they say they are.

I used to love this place but now every time I go by they’re closed before they are supposed to be. Quite disappointing!

Slow service, very disorganized. There is a table in front that pertains to parking spot and people literally talking over the table (over people’s orders). Def not shaved ice, it was a slushy. Do not recommend.

M
Michael Carlson

They are never open when they say they are. We’ve stopped by multiple times only to find it unexpectedly closed with no note or any type of explanation. The snow cones are delicious, but they make it near impossible to get one with their random and unshared hours. Disappointed.
