La Ruota Aviatico Reviews
Ottimo ristorante, personale gentile, disponibile e cordiale.
Migliorabili i dolci.
The thick pizza is delicious. The pizzoccheri are also delicious. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming. The staff is super friendly. We'll be back!
We went there for dinner. Very elegant atmosphere. In my opinion, it's the best restaurant/pizzeria in Selvino. Excellent pizza by the slice with various toppings. Excellent pizzoccheri. Good burgers, as well as fries. Excellent tiramisu. It's a bit of a walk from the center, but it's worth driving or taking a short walk. Very good. Friendly and sociable staff. Excellent service and cooking. Parking outside is perhaps limited, the only downside.
Very nice, welcoming place, kind and helpful staff. I'm celiac and finally have a wide selection of dishes to choose from!! I had delicious crepes with pears and cheese! For the main course, polenta with melted cheese, super tasty, accompanied by two slices of focaccia :) and the highlight was the dessert: Bayliss brick (homemade, delicious! 😋). My partner also ate very well, tiramisu was top! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Beautiful place, tons of gluten-free options, and everything was really good. I was with my girlfriend, who is celiac. We ordered everything gluten-free, and I admit I didn't notice any difference between the regular and gluten-free food. Which is a good thing, since some places have subpar gluten-free food, but here, a celiac can eat a lot, and it's delicious, and it's affordable. Their pizza slices, both regular and gluten-free, are their strong point, for me. I've been a customer for years and I'm always satisfied.
We often return to La Ruota di Selvino, we are really fond of this place. For us it is a point of reference: the (thick) pizza, from my humble point of view, is the best in the entire province of Bergamo. Even if the road to go up to Selvino is not exactly among our favorites, when you arrive and sit down to eat a pizza like this, it is truly a great satisfaction. I absolutely recommend the large slice: the pizza is stuffed to the max but remains very light. A delight. And it's not just the pizza! The restaurant is also very worth it: truly amazing appetizers and first courses, also cared for in the plating. You can see that there is passion in the kitchen.
We were in the valley for the weekend and stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. At first glance, it seems like a classic mountain tavern, but then the staff and their friendliness come to the fore. The dishes are delicious, tasty, and beautiful to look at! I recommend this place if you're in Selvino.
Restaurant-pizzeria in Selvino. Spacious and characteristic, you can have lunch or dinner outside or in characteristic rooms covered in wood and with large windows. The furniture is in tune with the mountains, with sleds, skis, boots used as decorative objects. The portions are cooked very well and are more than abundant. Worth mentioning are the fritters with bitto and polenta and the crepes with strachitunt and walnuts. Very attentive to celiac disease and other diets. A rarity is the mixed fried food without gluten. Absolutely honest prices. We will return here in a hurry.
Very nice place, pleople and food.
I went to this restaurant for dinner with my family. I'm celiac, and it's not easy to find a place with as much variety as this one. We tried appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts. Everything was delicious and top-quality. They're very careful about gluten-free options. We'll definitely be back. (The photos I'm posting below are all gluten-free dishes, and they're spectacular.)
We had a family dinner, ordering four burgers, including one for those with gluten intolerances. The place was welcoming, the staff were kind and helpful, and the waiter who took our orders was young and very professional. We appreciated the gluten-free options and the attention to food intolerances. The burgers were delicious, the meat very tender. Although we only asked for the kids' menu for one of our children, they brought us a nice gift for both of them. Delicious, definitely worth a try.
pizza special!
The food was very good, the portions somewhat reasonable. The waitress was very kind even if she knew little English and I little Italian 😊 The service was fast, the entire staff was kind and smiling. I ordered pizza, juices and cappuccino, even though I expected to receive a whole round pizza and it came in a single slice, it was quite filling with a soft and fluffy top.
Excellent pizza al trancio. The whole menu is available in a gluten-free version.
It's ok
We decided to return to Pizzeria La Ruota after a long time because we've always been happy with the quality and menu options. We were seated in a cold dining room; we mentioned the inconvenience and were informed that they'd turned up the heating (something we hadn't noticed during the two-hour dinner). We asked for a cheese board to share for three people and, after a full 30 minutes, we were served three cheese boards for the modest sum of €9 each, when we only wanted one to share. We also had two plates of gnocchi and a pizza, but only saw it 15 minutes after the gnocchi arrived. The service was truly poor, and we spent the entire dinner wearing jackets. We were very disappointed by the decline of this place, which doesn't invite us back.
The dish served arrived with a different side dish than specified. When I asked if it was possible to have the potatoes as per the menu, I was told it wasn't possible as the kitchen was closed (at 9:45 PM). We ordered goulash: it was practically inedible. Dry, excessively salty, and lacking any element that would make it recognizable as the typical dish it should be. I pointed this out to the waitress, who simply reiterated that the kitchen was closed and nothing more could be done. I understand that a kitchen may have closing times, but if at 9:30 PM (or 9:45 PM) you can no longer guarantee decent service and food, you should notify them or, even better, not seat anyone. The owner, in the end, kindly and sincerely apologized for what happened. However, this doesn't erase the terrible experience and poor service.
