Bui Thai Ballston Spa Reviews
I've been here many times since my partner moved up north. Staff is very friendly and food is excellent.
Food is excellent, all staff very friendly, excellent place for a relaxing quality meal.
Bua Thai & Sushi is hands down my husband’s and my favorite place to eat. The food is consistently fresh, and the portions are generous, ensuring we leave satisfied every time. The owner, Lex, is incredibly friendly and always makes a point to check in with us, ensuring everything is perfect, which it always is. The wait staff and chef is just as hospitable, going above and beyond to provide excellent service. The restaurant itself is spotless – cleanliness is a top priority for us, and Bua exceeds our expectations. My husband always opts for the sashimi and often takes home one of their delicious Thai soups. As for me, I love the orange chicken box because it offers a variety of options that never disappoint. Every visit makes us feel like part of the family, and we couldn’t recommend Bua Thai & Sushi more!
Nice quiet place... Food was unexpectedly very good... And I say this cuz I personally find Thai places locally too sweet... But this place all the app, and entrees were delicious. The service was fast as well.. Only thing I didn't like was the bubble tea... It's pre-made and taste syrupy.. So that was a toss... But everything else was on Point! I would Def go again.
Delicious. Prices are right, food is fresh, place is clean and the staff is always friendly. Sushi is a special thing. Each restaurant has its own unique specialty rolls. In this case it's the Dollar Tree. Sortve an Americanized version of sushi, with it's crunchy deep fried coating and gooey melted cream cheese center. This would be my recommendation for people who want to try sushi but aren't keen on fish. Their appetizers are good too. The dumplings were fried crispy, chicken satay was thick and juicy. Tastes like their sauces are made in house. I could ask but I'm kinda shy. The picture here is my Dollar Tree roll, affordably priced at $11. At most other places you can't even look at the specialty roll section without spending $15 minimum. My mom got Thai fried rice. You can see the chicken satay in the middle, looking thick. Get the Thai iced tea. You won't regret it
A bit hit and miss on items but what they do well they do very well. I strongly recommend the yellow curry, pad see-ew, and drunken noodles. Rice dishes and sushi are only standard in my experiences.
Family friendly atmosphere and yummy pad Thai chicken. We were in vacation and chose this place in a whim. Glad we did! Huge, delicious portions that my husband and I shared.
I ordered from the Thai Lunch Boxes – BOX #10. It comes with a Spicy Tuna Roll, six pieces of sashimi, and pineapple fried rice (with the option of beef, chicken, or shrimp). I’ve attached the entire menu so you can browse the different options they offer. Personally, I really enjoyed the food I ordered. I have no negative critiques—it was filling and satisfying. Even though I had lunch around 1 p.m. EST, by the time I wrote this review at 7 p.m. EST, I was still full. I would definitely recommend checking it out. However, my boyfriend ordered the RAD-NA, which is a soup with flat noodles, egg, and vegetables in a Thai gravy sauce. You also get to choose your preferred meat with it. His experience wasn’t as good as mine. His review: “The food came with spicy red sauce and pepper. Very filling. The noodle type and texture were new to me, since the restaurant is Vietnamese. I ordered it with thin beef slices. The yellow, spiced side dish of rice had a particularly Southeast Asian flavour. (I also tried some of her pineapple fried rice with shrimp.)” Also, amazing staff.
⭐ 1/5 – Extremely Disappointed With the Decline in Quality I’ve been ordering from this Thai restaurant for a long time because the food used to be good. But the last two times have been a huge disappointment, and today was honestly the worst. We ordered Drunken Noodles and Vegetable Fried Rice with extra egg, and both dishes were almost inedible. • Fried Rice: The rice was completely mushy, like it had been overcooked. There was actually liquid sitting at the bottom of the container. We requested vegetables, but all we found was a few pieces of broccoli—nothing else. The texture and flavor were so off that we couldn’t enjoy it at all. • Drunken Noodles: Better than the fried rice, but still far from acceptable. The chicken was extremely dry, like it had been reheated multiple times. The overall dish lacked freshness and flavor. For food that costs around $18 per dish, this quality is just not acceptable. We ended up wasting most of the meal, which is frustrating. Something has definitely changed—either the chef or the way the dishes are being prepared. Really hope the restaurant pays attention to these issues because the decline has been noticeable, and customers like us expect better.
I ordered via Grubhub. The food was mediocre, but what floored me was the revelation of an $8 extra charge for an "order change" that I never made. What an amazingly brazen rip off! I guess that they're going to get away with it, especially since I got no response from Grubhub--but I'll post this as a warning to anyone else, so they can avoid the rip off.
