WOW! I haven't been to a restaurant that meets every single one of my expectations. I always have something to critique, but this place excels in quality. We ordered the tonkotsu ramen, the takoyaki, popcorn chicken, and deep fried stinky tofu. Even though we had all fried appetizers, the flavor was so clean and fresh, nothing greasy. The tonkotsu ramen has to be their specialty. They bring you this huge pot in a fancy food warmer. Hands down one of the best customer services I've ever experienced. The waitress knew when to come to our table and wasn't overly friendly. Her attire and the decorations brought it all together. I had a great time with my family.

I loved how this place is pretty cheap and fills up your stomach fast, the workers were so nice to us and I would come back again.

We walked in this place off the street without any prior knowledge, no expectations. We were simply hungry. We were also pleasantly surprised. To start they have quite the menu options. We were vegan and non-vegan and everyone could eat. There were so many excellent new dishes that we never tried to choose from. The wait staff was charming, the kitchen fast. We were the only customers inside but the food take out traffic was steady. The decor is very nice with smoke seating and parking is available. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Awesome place! Love the Thai curry hot pot. I wish I ordered 2 of the peach / coconut drinks so I'd have one for later in the day. Appetizers were tasty. Thai curry had so much meat and veggies that I could hardly finish it and drink most of the broth. Can't wait to go back for another visit to try different options!

My first time at this place and it is such a cute little gem. There are only a few tables in this establishment with 6 four tops along the wall with booths and an additional 2 four top tables in the center. There were two waiters working and it was easy to get their attention if we needed anything, they were both super friendly. We got the Korean Hot Pot, chicken cutlet with pork rice, and the fried calamari appetizer. I really enjoyed everything with my only issue that they didn't have Sriracha sauce and the broth for the Korean was a bit too salty. The chicken cutlet is the same chicken they use in the fried chicken app, it's already seasoned well but you can use the Chinese BBQ sauce. Chili oil, or garlic sauce to dip. The calamari was crispy fine/thin batter and the squid was not chewy. I really enjoyed this meal and the service was excellent. Definitely will be adding tasty point to one of my regular spots to hit up in Chinatown. Note: I did add pictures of their menu as their prices have changed.

Wow! Our friends suggested this spot to meet for dinner & we could not be more pleased. We got there just in time to avoid a longer wait, at about 5:25pm. By the time we left, people were waiting inside & outside for a seat. The food IS that good & worth the wait! I ordered #10, the Korean army hot pot, and it was spicy, flavorful, & delicious! My husband ordered the porcini hot pot, which was very good, but did not have all of the spicy layers that the #10 offered. We did have plenty to take home, which we eventually combined for an ultimate hot pot.

Came in a couple months ago. Food was decent and portion was good. Service was meh. One thing I don’t like about this place is that their water tastes like tap water. Here’s a list of things that I ordered: - Stinky tofu: it was surprisingly good. I recommend eating it with the cabbage that comes with it. - Chicken popcorn: nice and crunchy - Beef skewers: good, nicely seasoned - Army stew in medium spicy: it was just average, nothing outstanding

First time trying out this place after hearing so many good reviews about it! It’s a must try if you’re into hotpot style meals. Ordered the Korean army soup with some dumpling as appetizers! Soup broth is interchangeable if you’re not the type to eat spicy.

Plenty of choices for you to choose from, hot pot, ramen, skewers, etc. We opted for hot pot, choosing the tomato hot pot and coconut curry hot pot. Both were good but on the salty side. The tomato had a rich tomato flavor with fish filets and plenty of vegetables. This is good for vegetarians. The coconut curry hot pot was a rich creamy flavor due to the coconut cream. We went around 7 on a Wednesday night thinking it would be busy but we were the first ones in there. They weren't ideally busy at all which was surprising. 2 staff were working and were very quick to respond when we needed something. This is a good hang out spot with friends or to take a date. Music was playing in the background and tvs playing cooking shows. Overall, great place to go if you are craving hot pot. They allay have teas as well.

So I saw this place on Facebook and really wanted to give it a try. My friends and I stopped in around 7 pm on a Friday and originally it was empty but it quickly became packed. When we left, there was a line of people waiting outside, so I would recommend coming early. I had never tried this cuisine before, so I was really excited. For the appetizer, we ordered the deep fried calamari and the super french fries. Of the two, the French fries were my favorite. They were different and unique. Although I felt the calamari was a little too chewy for my liking, I did enjoy it with the sauce. I would definitely be interested in trying the other appetizers on the menu. For my drink, I ordered the purple yam sea salt latte with 50% sugar & boba. My friend ordered the matcha sea salt latte with 100% sugar and boba. Both drink were really tasty. In addition to the drink, I ordered the Tom Yum with shrimp hot pot that came with braised pork rice.I also ordered a side of ramen noodles to go with it. I definitely did not know what to expect when I ordered this lol but boy was I in for a surprise. This hot pot was jam packed with a lot of stuff that I had never seen before. I really enjoyed the shrimp, mussels, and clams. There were a lot of things in it that I was unfamiliar with. Like I said, this was my first time ordering, so I just went all in lol. In the future, I would just order a simple hot pot with just one meat and veggies maybe. This was not my favorite dish to eat but if this is something that you enjoy, I’m sure you would like it. It was definitely a lot of food for the amount of money. I would come back and try the skewers.

I have been wanting to revisit this place for almost a year now. The food is still good and consistant. I ended up ordering the same exact item I did last time #12 (17.99) the "porcini hotpot" which did not have any porcini mushrooms. I chose this again for the same criteria I did last time: it was the most "Meaty and Hefty". Each hot pot order comes with a option of plain white rice or the same white rice topped with a braised ground beef topping, or plain vermicelli. Get the braised rice, it is the most savory option. I also ordered the spicy sliced pork ears (6.95). They were nice and full of the peppercorn spice and numbness. The dish was warm and gelatinous, but the portion size was 3/4ths of a cup. Not recommended for the price. The main dish was served within 25 minutes. They come with the option of lighting the sterno in the base. The soup already comes hot, so unless you would like your soup piping hot for 10 minutes you can have it that way. I did and did notice the smell, but it didn't bother me too much. Vegtables were crisp and the previously frozen meat products were good. The melon based broth was a good redition of a comforting soup. I was satisfied. Would I go back? The portions are more than fair and they taste good.

A variety of choices on the hot pots are available. Decent size of portion. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. The only reason I can't give five stays is not enough dining space. Customers are pretty much sitting right next to each other, elbow to elbow when the 🏠 is packed. The owner should consider expand to the next empty unit. It's worth of thought.

On November 26th, I visited your restaurant and ordered two single hotpots, but the fire wasn’t turned on for either of them. I assumed they were pre-cooked, so I didn’t ask. Later, when I requested napkins, the staff member took some from an uncleared table, which felt unhygienic. I also noticed that the other tables had their hotpots served with the fire on, but ours did not. The food here is good, but the service was quite poor.

We stopped here for a quick bite. Heard it was amazing so it was a must. It was a cool experience but for the $$$ and the amount of food you get, meh. We ordered 3 Tom yum soups. You get a huge pot with about 3 shrimp in each pot, May 3 pieces of cut fish, not even a whole slice. About 6 slices of frozen fish balls, less than an ounce of mushroom, a squid and maybe a couple of other items with a ton if Napa cabbage. For $17ish, there is no extras unless you pay for the addition. We also ordered tofu hot pot, it was disappointing. The tonkatsu Ramen was ok. Noodles were spot on. Each pot came with a black or green tea, iced or hot, sweet or unsweet. Let's see, sesame balls were mini and ok, tofu app was not as expected, not great either. Gratuity is added for parties and if you don't read your ticket, you could accidentally tip extra for ok service. There's tons of hot pot places that are in the area that are really great like the place a few doors down.

Staff was friendly, restaurant was nicely designed and cozy, but food was very bland. My wife and I ordered the ‘Taiwanese Hot Pot’ and it claimed to be 3 peppers spicy but when it came out, it lacked so much flavor. The spice was also nonexistent. Comparing the taste to Boiling Point and Red Flame, this dish was extremely disappointing. We didn’t end up trying the boba and are kind of glad we didn’t, if the food lack this much essence then I wouldn’t trust the drinks at all.

I ordered lamb kebabs and that’s horrible, they don’t know how to cook lamb in the good way without the lamb smells. Also ordered the seafood hot pot, this one is way better than the first dish. You have mild, medium or spicy of your choice, and choice of side of noodles, white rice or pork stew over rice. They also offer free ice tea during the lunch time. Those two dishes costed me 30 bucks, it’s kind of overpriced for me too.

Tasty Point relocated their place from Diho square, and they sure are getting a lot more customers at Dun Huang plaza. The environment and the atmosphere are better. The price has gone up a bit too. However, the food quality didn't improve. Now, their pots are close to $20 now. The amount is decent, yet the taste kind of disappoints me. My spicy Taiwanese hotpot is not spicy nor numb at all. The stinky tofu just doesn't taste right because it's not stinky but having this buttery souffle taste. Most of all, I kind of regret to upgrade my drink to their Champagne Boba milk tea. The tea taste weird and the boba is hard like it's not fully cooked. I remembered that I used to love their lemon black tea that comes with lunch pot. Their service was good as they checked on us often as more customers coming in. Sadly to say, but this is a one-time place for me, but welcome everyone to try it out yourself!

First time here, I’m Taiwanese, so I’ve been looking for Taiwanese style hot pot. This is for sure the place to go. However, if you are looking for the kind of hot pot where everything’s raw and you cook it yourself at the table, this is not that. All the ingredients come already in the individual pot cooked. The pot is really just there to keep it boiling hot. I ordered the Stinky Tofu Hot Pot, it was pretty good. Personally, I find it not stinky enough, but it’s understandable that they’d want to tone that down to not make the entire restaurant smell like that. The deep fried chicken cutlet is very crispy and juicy. The fact that they used dark meat is a bonus for me. (White meat is usually used, but could be dry and harder to chew) The braised pork rice was probably the only disappointment. It’s a very basic Taiwanese dish, the texture was a bit wrong. I think they used too much ground pork instead of pork belly? I’m not entirely sure. Overall, I still liked the food. I would go back if I have Taiwanese hot pot cravings again. A side note, I think they use quite a lot of MSG. It made my mouth very dry the entire night. (Something that happens to me when I eat too much MSG) I don’t think that’s a big issue though, just drink more water. But I know some people are very “allergic” to MSG, they might want to stay away or maybe ask if they can do No MSG.

Extremely friendly and kind service!! The place is small so it's very tight between tables and expect some wait. Got the laksa hot pot I wish it had more flavor. The fire under the hot pot was too strong, mine was boiling so hard I had to ask them to put the fire out so that it stops bubbling everywhere. Bubble tea was good, but small portion.

overall, the food was good and everything was solid! for apps, we ordered the popcorn chicken, takoyaki, and spicy beef tripe. for mains, we had the tonkatsu ramen, spicy ramen, golden spicy soup beef hotpot, and taiwanese spicy hotpot. unfortunately, the customer service was severely lacking. after waiting about 15 mins and looking around awkwardly, we had to wave someone over to take our order. one of the servers, when placing the hot bowl of soup on the table, set it down carelessly, letting it hit the table and nearly causing the soup to splatter. we also had to ask for extra napkins, as each person was only given one and had to use it sparingly. after that, service was essentially absent until the very end of the meal.

Being first time customers, the food was good. Lot of spice in the Tom Yum. We ordered a variety of items to get a feel for the menu but nothing outrageous. Our food was first to go in but last to be received. The service was something else. The waitress seemed highly annoyed while taking our order and when asked questions regarding the food, showed her displeasure in answering. Plain and simple she was just rude. Menu was pricey and they also added a large tip on our ticket and I personally don't think she was deserving of that size tip. I won't be returning nor recommending.

Service was terrible. I came back for a second time and had family from out of town with me. The shorter busser girl gave our table a hard time and kept giving attitude and rolling her eyes when we asked for new chopsticks or how long the French fries would take. On top of the nasty attitude, we didn’t even have enough utensils set on our table, weren’t check up on enough, sides came out late, and kept having to ask for more water. We tried addressing, but they he brushed it off. Will not be going back.

Could be a great spot if they put in the effort to actually deliver tasty or even edible hotpot or ramen, I can’t say our food was tasty, the ramen was tasteless and the hot pot tasted like fridge/frozen storage, would not recommend this place to anyone, much better choices right next door.
