This is my go to spot for fast chinese food. Great food. Amazing prices. Ppl that own and run it are fantastic as well.

Fantastic family owned restaurant. We’ve been coming here for over 10 years, tried others but now this is the only place we go. They have the best sizzling rice soup and sesame chicken.

Had the black bean Chow fun off the menu (not the steam table). The flavor was good, the portion of beef generous.

Always good food here, great authentic neighborhood chinese spot. BBQ pork and beef chow fun during lunch is underrated.

Have been coming to this mom and pops restaurant for over 2 decades. Food is authentic and always made fresh to order. Friendly atmosphere and have never had a bad experience with any of their employees. It can be busy during lunch hours for the steam table, but that just speaks volumes about the quality and flavors you can find here.

Both of my parents used to come here a lot before I was even born. Soon I was born and as a little boy I always got chow mein and rice every time I ate here, but as I got older I started to try all their other dishes and they’re just so delicious. The employees always manage to recognize you the more often you visit. -Yours truly chow mein and rice kid.

I've been coming here for almost twenty years and they never disappoint. The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. It's a relatively unknown little place, but by far my favorite in San Mateo. I recommend anything on their menu, but I personally LOVE their chow mein and sizzling rice soup.

I have been coming here since 2003 whether it was pick up, delivery, or the steam table. No matter how I ordered it it's quick and easy. They do give you a longer delivery time but they definitely come before that. I do understand that delivery can't take up a large part of one's time.

I really like the food here. The menu has an incredible variety and the dishes are just wholesome and good. I would definitely visit again.

Great place for quick Chinese lunch. Combo plates for lunch. Food is fresh, inexpensive, and good options. They offer brown rice. Service was outstanding! Con: Some dishes are a little in the sugary side.

I had lunch at the Toa Yuen restaurant at San Mateo. I ordered the plate with three options. I selected the orange chicken, fried rice and the green vegetables. The restaurant was clean, the staff is polite, and there are plenty of parking available. The food was just so so, the Choctaw’s not bad, but the rice and vegetables were bland. For a fast lunch was not bad, but could be better.

I have never eaten a chicken chow fun made with premade teriyaki chicken before. I remember now that I ordered a chicken fry vermicelli was the same.

This was not good. Chowmein was dry and it tasted like spaghetti noodles. The chicken was too crispy It felt like I was eating pork skin. I couldn’t taste the meat.
