Recently we, a party of 8, went to Steeners for a birthday lunch. The young lady (I dont know her name) that works there not only took care of us she took care of a packed dining room and she managed the bsr as well alone. Remarkable! She greeted us warmly and made us feel welcomed and at home. She was timely in taking our orders, and very friendly while doing so. She ensured that our drinks were refilled as well. When the food arrived it was hot and presented nicely. After eating she brought us plates for us to place the birthday cupcakes that we brought with us. The food was outstanding and the dressings are home made as are the fries which are freshly cut right there in the kitchen. It was a good time had by all and it will be an establishment we will most certainly visit again. Oh, and the prices are reasonable and the portions plentiful.

1st time here, on whim after the comedy center. (3:30 but neither of us had eaten lunch, and a very scant breakfast, so we were starving). Delicious, large sandwiches and cut fries (and specialty drink). Friendly service (a little short staffed but there wasn't a long wait for food). Only 1 bathroom stall. A few tables outside for dining. Clean. Many menu items that sounded good so we know we'll need to return.

Another great find on Google reviews. We had a group of seven, got seated right away. Lots of nice choices on the menu including some vegetarian options. Service was great and food came out quickly, was plentiful and everyone agreed it was very tasty. Prices also nice!

Great dinner! When I say Mountain of Meatloaf, I mean Mountain! And the Irish Fish n Chips Dish was larger than any other. We caught them during renovations; can’t wait to see the place when they’re done!

Perfection! My husband, children and I visited Jamestown about a month ago to see the I Love Lucy Museum. While we were there we ate at a few places. And while all were great, Steeners was the best! My husband got the fish fry and is still talking about it. My children got macaroni and cheese which was in no way was a small dish lol. And I of course got the fried pickles. They were out of this world delicious.

I dont know where to start....we made a reservation for 6 pm. Literally walked in their doors at 558 and were greeted by 3 different very friendly staff! Then we were brought directly to our table that was already set with menus and settings. Had drinks with in 5 minutes maybe less...everything was clean and organized....ordered food....amazing!! every bite was hot and fresh and delicious. ..lemon pepper wings...a shrimp Cajun salad...and the crispy chicken sandwich with ruben loaded fries....omg! And we randomly landed on wing night...10 wings for 8 bucks!!! Came with tons of celery and carrots and blue cheese. Waitress was a doll...super friendly and so attentive. I seriously cannot wait to go back and try every thing !!! Love love love....definitely a diamond in the rough....you guys rock!!!

6/14/24 e Excellent dry rub then grilled to nice smokey flavor still 15.99 with carrots and celery, don't sit next to door to patio, squeaky and slams. Homemade chips large and crispy.Burger is tender and flavorful ,thumbs up. New Cuban has great taste and sliced pork, but the bread was not toasted, horseradish is fine. Noisy families inside, try outside patio next time. Service was quick and pleasant. No stouts except Guinness on draft. Large labatts blue in can was $4.25.

My husband and I stopped in at Steener's Pub today for lunch - our first time - and were very pleasantly surprised. I had the deep fried mushrooms and highly recommend them. When they first came out I had to ask what they were because they looked more like large deep fried corn muffins than 'shrooms - they were that big!! I had to cut each one into eighths. And if you like your 'shrooms still 'rare' with just a bit of batter (like I do), then these are also for you. The light batter was flavorful and the accompanying homemade ranch dressing was also delicious with lots of fresh garlic along with a taste of sour cream. I also had the French onion soup - it was good. For my own personal preference, I like more onions - and cut smaller - a touch of Worcestershire, and a bit more broth reduction. My husband had the French dip with Swiss and found it above and beyond delicious. The waitress actually asked him how he wanted the beef cooked - a first for a roast beef sandwich. The beef was tender and flavorful and the ciabatta roll was fresh and soft. The fries were good - and they had vinegar for them - always a plus. His preference is no peel, but the flavor was good and they were crispy like he likes. We will definitely be going back - the menu is FULL of tantalizing options that we want to explore. We highly recommend giving Steener's Pub a try!!!

First timers...very pleasant experience. Great food (meatloaf was delicious)...very reasonable prices...very generous portions...and the service was fast and very friendly. Parking was limited but that spoke of the popularity of the place. We'll be back!! Definitely gets my recommendation.

Great homemade food! We will be back!!!.... Update: was back tonight and the waitress remembered my drink from 2 weeks ago! Tried the loaded fries, very filling! Update 2: been back lots have our "normals" always so good and great staff, even if things are obviously busy, staff is always"on" time and friendly! Update 3: visit #? Still great staff, service and food. Have yet to get anything "bad"! Have now rented the side room and worked with the super talented and down to Earth, Nate with catering and got rave reviews from all!

We will be back soon. The service, food and atmosphere was great. We got the reuben, a burger and wings. My burger was cooked perfectly which almost never happens. We tried the buffalo ranch sauce on our wings. They were some of the best wings we've ever had. We can't wait to go back.

Neat little pub. Recommend by a local on one of our rides. The pub has a industrial kinda feel in in the dining room. Had a larger patio. Service was excellent, staff was polite. The menu wasn't the largest but had many awesome sounding meals. I ended up getting the colossal pulled pork sandwich was fantastic. My buddy got the chicken tenders and they also looked awesome and appeared to be made in house.

The serving staff are so quick, friendly, and great to their customers. The food is consistently delicious. Love their drinks! Definitely recommend. You will leave the best kind of full.

It was quite busy but our server was excellent: quickly providing our drinks, answering our questions, taking our orders and generally making us comfy. The food was great and the portions very large. There were lots of choices on the menu and our meals were perfect!

There was not enough parking, but I did manage to find a spot. The food was good, I had the bomber, a pot roast sandwich, was so good!!! I would recommend the peanut butter pie, so good!!! Overall, I would recommend eating here.

Came back up home to visit from SC. Steener's was recommended by locals and it was a spot on recommendation! Everything we had was fantastic- adults and children were all stuffed to the brim and quite pleased. Angela was our server and she was awesome. We will definitely be returning every trip back!! Late lunch/early dinner. We were there about 4:00. The bar area was full and loud. We were having a meal so we sat in the dinning room. Burgers were excellent and very reasonable. The service was great.

It had been a while since I visited the Good Ole Steener's. After noticing the place is consistently rockin by 1:30 p.m. I was convinced it was time for a visit. This past fall, I popped in on the Sunday evening. The Bills almost beat the Tom Brady & the BUCS. There was maybe 10 customers there and i immediately felt at home. Bill's game was on and nobody minded my screaming and shouting for the Bills. The waitress was a sweetheart and Bartender Kerri was great. Ordered mama Steen's chicken Pecan Salad and the flavor balance was amazing. The salad was huge and the flavors contrasted perfectly. For sure 2 full meals in that salad if you have any self discipline for only $14.99. 4 star experience would be 5 stars with a Bills W. Edit: It's been a few years since my first review, and after many delicious meals I've got to give the food five stars along with great service and a laid back casual atmosphere. I've had several beer battered fish fries, philly cheese steaks, and the huge fried chicken sandwich, to name a few. Most recently, I ordered the broiled haddock supreme, and it was absolutely delicious. Peppers, onions, mushrooms, and cheese atop a large haddock filet. They don't miss!!

Nice local place. The food was surprisingly delicious! I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were some of the best that I’ve ever tried. We also had some appetizers including poutine. This is quintessential bar food! Our waitress was friendly and service was very fast. I’m glad we found this place as we were passing through town.

Steener's catered the appreciation dinner for the Gerry Vol Fire Dept. Food was delicious, and the presentation almost looked too good to eat. Even with the recent increase in food prices everywhere, they were very reasonable.

The best wings I've ever had, crispy and generously sauced. Recommend hot with their blue cheese or their homemade ranch with dill. Also recommend their blazing blizzard flavor with an additional grilled for the char. Ask for Hans at the bar.

One of the best restaurants in the Jamestown area. We asked a local about a restaurant referral, and he clearly named Steeners. Food did not disappoint, and the service was great.

Steener's Pub is a nice little bar and restaurant. There is outside seating for people to enjoy the great outdoors. The chicken wings and sandwiches are tasty. I also love the mussels. Where it is located at it can be hard getting parking sometimes, and a bit dangerous getting back out on the main road.

The portions are huge for thr price and the house sauces are so good, the food comes out fast and is delicious. The atmosphere is a bit bar like which is personally not my thing but if it's yours I would highly recommend it, prices are fair for what you get. Great place across the board.

Reviewing after just one visit. However, the fish in chips was best I've had in quite a while. Wings are clutch. Wife said the Buff was also awesome. Great spot. We'll be sure to stop back next time we're in town! Nice work Steener and team!

Concert we were going to in Pittsburgh got cancelled so ended up having an early date night!! Ran across Steeners on my Google maps search and what a great find!! The food was great, those chicken tenders..yum!! The steak night special was such a great deal!! Service was great and its such a pretty place!!! We will definitely be back, fingers crossed during snowmobile season as its right on the trail!!

Just a hungry fella from Virginia, passing through on a work trip. I like to find the local joints when I can. Let me tell ya…Steener’s knocked it out of the park tonight! I chose the “build your own” burger option. I love my protein so I opted for two full size patties (medium rare), and a fried egg. Cheddar is my go-to, so you know I chose that. At the last minute I added the onion rings to it as well. Little did I know they would be the three largest onion rings I’ve ever seen in my life!! The burger was every bit of 10” tall when they brought it to me. I pulled the stake out of it, removed the onion rings, and went to town. It was juicy, delicious, and cooked to medium rare perfection!!! If I ever find myself in this neck of the woods again, I will definitely be stopping in!

First time here and I'll definitely be back! The food was great. The ranch dressing deserves its own sentence- you can't beat homemade. The honey dressing was also top notch. This would be a great place to have a small gathering in the summer.

This is a really great place to get some food. The food tastes really good, and the portions are generous. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The service is prompt. Seems like you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Edit: Had to get the shrimp special, which was excellent. Each shrimp course was executed perfectly. The scampi was better than some Italian places I have had. This dish culminates my dining experience, a very wide range of food and flavors, all done very well.

We were baaack for more 2 for $25 steak! Excellent as always. Even though restaurant was very busy, waitstaff was very attentive to every detail. We went on weeknight and ordered the steak for two.. The filet was done to perfection, very flavorful. Side was homemade onion rings. Delmonico was smothered in mushrooms, cooked perfectly to my liking, side portion was huge. Quiet place with small bar and dining room with outside dining. They are adding second story. Definitely dine there again.

Great little pub with plenty of delicious menu options and very friendly staff! Had the delmonico steak. Deliciously grilled. Nomally steaks are over seasoned, but here you get that great steak taste and not overpowered but extras.

Cozy mid-sized pub that has a large food menu. I had the broiled Haddock Supreme. It comes smothered in sautéed onions, peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes, with provolone melted over the top. The haddock was a generous portion. My husband had the boneless wings.

In from Ohio for fishing. The steamed shrimp was great as well as blt chicken wrap, fair frys, the cod special, and French dip. The homemade chips were excellent. Enjoyed cocktails of pineapple upside-down cake and crazy teddy. Service was quick and attentive.

Wow, the portions are humongous! My mom was shocked by the size of her burger, "how am I supposed to eat this?" Great food.

9/12/23 review: What a great remodel! It's so nice inside and out now! Very clean. Super nice staff, fast service, and very welcoming environment. Dragon balls and ranch were as amazing as ever. We both got specialty Mac'n'cheese this time. Huge portions! I'll say the Mac'n'cheese itself is very bland. Once you add on the homemade chicken tenders with Buffalo sauce like I got or the brisket with homemade onion rings and bbq sauce that he got, it's absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the specialty Mac over the plain because they are mind blowing. Old review from 2018: Great wings, great dragon balls, great ranch, bland burgers with upcharges for everything, huge clouds of cigarette smoke from outside drifing in every time the door opens, and unruly kids running everywhere screaming in a bar.

Well, the food is good, the atmosphere is ok but one of the people at our table asked for all drumsticks for her wings. There was an upcharge for that which she agreed to pay. When the wings came, she got her drumsticks, and I got ALL THE FLAT ONES! Seriously? I mean, we were at the SAME table! Did they not think we'd notice? That was not right of them to do. The waitress was irritable and we certainly don't like that. Not lovin' this place.

One the way to Bemus point, this spot might be a place to stop, before you get to the more expensive lakeside. The amount of seating far outweighs the number of parking spaces, but the bar food is quite good. There are several different wing sauces and dry rubs, specials, including a wing night, and a 1 pound steak meal that comes with a pint of beer. The mac and cheese options are varied and unusual. The service can be off and on, and the decor is sports bar basic with TV'S around each room. Worth a stop, but I hope you can park close and not at the soccer fields.

We eat here frequently. Always love the food. Not today. Had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Tasted like it had all been frozen, thawed and reheated. Very disappointed. Husbands wings were good as always.

I hate to write this. Steeners pre remodel used to be my go to spot for wings. And honestly the only thing holding them at 3 stars for food is their other options. But the wings have gone down in my opinion. The size, the consistency, even making them to the correct order. I had 4 singles tonight. Mild (saucy), maple (saucy and crispy), gold, and Jim beam. Neither of the saucy came saucy and the crispy weren't crispy at all. I know their wings. They were normal. This isnt the first time I've been let down by steeners wings in the past year. Not to mention after tax a single order is nearly $20....so im sorry steeners. I love you guys, your food is amazing. But nearly $2/ wings on a non wing night and the lack of consistency has put you guys so far down my list im axtually contemplating trying the swamp (never would I ever think of trying them). I wish I wasnt writing this but I cant say let's just give them one more chance another time.

Today i stopped by. Always heard they had good food. Finally found a parking spot. That can be hard, especially during the chautauqua institution season. Walked in. Seat yourself. Great menu of food. I had some and it was great. Waitress (sorry, didn't get a name) was amazing. BUT, It was the bar. Loud drunks. Arguing. The entire time. Like they sat near me. Cursing, yelling, arguing. Then I watched 2 more drunk people stumble in. And hoped they didn't park near me. If not for the bar area dominating everything, I would have rated 5 stars.

Stopped here on a roadtrip so we could dine outside with our dogs, but had to order take out because theyve had dog issues, even though their sign is a dog. Okay, the policy is understandable, waited in the hot car for take out. We had the steak salad, steak sandwich, and french onion soup. Over salted soup, soggy fries, entire meal was not satisfying and pretty pricey for the portions. Will not be back.

My chicken for my sandwich was.dryer than the Mojave Desert. And, for two very small.cups.of mayonnaise, I was charged a dollar each. Essentially$ 2.00 for 2 teaspoons, if that, for mayo. BTW, my grilled chicken sandwich was supposed to come with mayo: it was bone dry! Is there a mayonnaise shortage I don't know about?????

Loved the food and service the FIRST time I went. Couldn't wait to go back - until....I went back. PLANNED to order take out to have at home for my guests that are coming in late. I ordered one drink, was never offered a menu, and my empty glass sat on the bar - BARTENDER never once checked in to see if I wanted another ....if I was the owner I would sure as hell want to know if my bartenders were treating customers this way ....sad

Stopped for dinner around 7p, stood wondering if we needed to wait to be seated, waitresses walked past us numerous times without taking time to acknowledge our confusion. Once we asked if we seat ourselves the waitress replied snarky "there's a table there, there's a table there". We gave them the benefit that they were busy, but once we sat at a table not a single server came to even ask if we would like a drink or to order. We left to go to another restaurant, with no plans to go back.

Visited a month ago had a great experience and food, took the family for dinner tonight and waited over 30 minutes before leaving since we hadn’t even been offered drinks and the 2 tables that came in after us already had drinks and salads/appetizers

Absolutely no complaints about this place. Overall amazing experience Editing my review. Went back tonight with the whole family. Worst restaurant experience I've had in years. They made us wait 35 minutes for a table then came back and told us they wouldn't be able to seat us because we needed a regular table for a high chair. They had empty tables the entire time waiting on reservations. One waitress also made an off comment not knowing I could hear her. Will probably never go back.

We did not have a good experience, we actually left feeling hungry because we could not eat our food. My Buffalo chicken fries came out cold, a fly immediately landed in my food, husbands pulled pork Mac n cheese was cold in some spots, warm in others did not taste like homemade Mac n cheese but rather like watered down box Mac n cheese. We looked at reviews and photos before stopping here unfortunately we did not have a good experience. Now we’re looking for another restaurant to eat at. Completely dissatisfied that we paid for a meal we could not stomach to eat!

I never been here before but I like giving a local businesses my money before going to larger chains. I noticed that parking was minimal maybe five or six spots in the front at Max unless you parked across the street or next door at the gas station. Prices are extremely high for just a little Pub. They charge you $12.50 for just a burger and fries but if you want any type of cheese pickles onions or whatever for each one it's an additional $2.50 per item. So if you have cheese and onions with a pickle that's an additional $7.50 on top of the $12.50. But I went in with an open mind and ordered a cheeseburger with fries. The fries came out cold and the burger was very pink on the verge of being raw in the middle. To be fair I did order it medium well since so many restaurants if you order it well done will come out burnt. The roll was very dry. The only redeeming value was the waitress who was extremely nice and apologetic. But no action was taken to remedy the problem. When I received the check there was a credit card fee which they're not allowed to do in NYS, unless they have two pricings on menu. One for cash one for credit card. And in the middle of the check was a box with big bold letters they want you to tip up to 25% which I thought was a little extreme since this was just a small Diner & only 2 of us. Unfortunately, they've lost my business, and my wife and I love to go out to eat, and support local places

Had meatloaf it was raw in the middle. Manger would not come out to look at it told me from a sever that it's cooked medium rare all the time. Only good thing they did refund my money next time I will not get meatloaf if I go baxk

This place is overpriced & underwhelming We were served salsa dipping with old bay shrimp! The broiled haddock was smothered in cheese, onions & peppers like a cheese steak. Fries were soggy on two orders. Fish n chips was a big hunk of batter (hard & tasteless). The pork mac n cheese was served cold. Velveeta mac n cheese would've tasted better! We ordered Dr. Pepper- flat. Asked for replacement of Pepsi-flat. Pinot Gris- tasted worse than boxed wine. The waitress was a stick in the mud and wouldn't bus a table if it was her last ride home. The hostess is fabulous, she even buses tables! Wouldn't recommend this place to your worst enemy! Drive to Bemus for better options...
