The Winning Post Benidorm Reviews
Husband had a Scottish breakfast me and my daughter had a full English and my son had a breakfast wrap. Food was fantatsic . Good price Will come back
We had breakfast lunch and dinner here , the service is outstanding, the food is amazing, and quite cheap, because the portion sizes is massive, Tracey the waitress was superb, and Tracey the cook is awesome, we used to go to Tracey cafe , but found out when we went to benidorm this year in November that her cafe was closed, and only found out by chance that Tracey was the cook in the winning post , so thanks everyone in the winning post for keeping us fed throughout the festival week, the welsh girls xx🥰🥰🥰
Love this place! Everytime we come to Benidorm we come here and it never changes, staff lovely and the food is AMAZING!! Would highly recommend
Great food I would definitely recommend the cheese toasties and overall the service was great with super kind staff
Well so surprised to see a large eating area to the rear. Lovely and clean and welcoming. We had a breakfast and bacon sandwich and so well presented and very tasty. Tracey made our day , welcoming us with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for her. Great service good food and atmosphere at a reasonable price.
Very friendly staff, tasty food and a great atmosphere
Lovely food, nice, friendly staff.
Nice food,we had breakfast, staff lovely but it was a 40 minute wait from ordering, the waitress did warn us when we sat down though.
First time we have eaten here, have to say it was a lovely breakfast at a reasonable price. Food ordered came quickly, cooked well & tasty. Staff were friendly & will definately return

I go to Benidorm every year with my family of 8, and we love coming here. The food is amazing and the staff are very welcoming, they recognise us every time we go even if its just once a year we go.
Lovely food that was nicely presented. A good range of foods on the menu that will suit all tastes. Great value for money. Attentive hosts that obviously enjoy what their jobs. Would definitely recommend
Top bar, loads of screens for live sport and unlike many other places you can hear commentary as well. Beer is good and top class british service here.
Lovely staff and great for watching sports
I’ve been coming to Benidorm for donkeys years and have had the full English breakfast at literally dozens of places. Having just eaten the large English breakfast at winning post I can hand on heart say the sausages here are the best I’ve had in Benidorm. Recommended 👍
I have been going to Benidorm for over 15 years and did not know Winning Post did food. It is my new place to eat, the food is absolutely amazing, the choice is amazing and sorry i didn't get her name but the blonde lady who served us was amazing too. Clean, friendly and the best food i have had yet in all those years!!!!! Will be back xx
Desayuno inglish rico
Whilst in Benidorm on my last day I was interested to see where I could get a Sunday roast. After Google searching this place came up. A short walk from my location, perfect. We wasn't disappointed. I had a large chicken roast & my husband & friend had a large beef roast. Arrived Piping hot 🔥 after about a 20 minute wait. Surrounded by families & couples, the horse racing on the TVs 🐎 gave it a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend 👌 decent menu choice for us Brits & reasonably priced. Good portion size.
3 of us Been for Sunday lunch was fantastic so we went back again had the winning post burger it was amazing the best I've had in Benidorm Plenty of staff who were really friendly. Great service. Menu was huge. Would definitely go back again.
Make sure to come here when in Benidorm. One of the best places to go to. Very helpful staff, especially Cheryl (hope that’s right spelling) she was so attentive to me and my friends and really looked after us throughout whole visit making sure we were happy and had everything we needed. She even remembered us when we visited in 2018 and 2019 which I was not expecting but was so nice. I can not fault this place at all. Came here twice in the week just like the last 2 times I’ve been in Benidorm. Cheap food and drinks but so tasty and big portions - I’d highly recommend the lasagna which comes with chips, garlic bread and salad as well as the chicken or steak fajitas. Sports on several tv’s as well as a projector, drink offers and just a fantastic atmosphere. Plan to come Benidorm again for a forth time and will be back here for another few times for the amazing food and brilliant staff.
The Winning Post is a Benidorm must visit especially if you like a little bet. The food is decent as are the drinks available to buy.
I've been enjoying a long weekend in Benidorm with a friend. Last night we went to music gig and today I fancied a full English breakfast even though it was mid-afternoon. We walked from our hotel looking for a place offering a proper full English and we walked over 4,000 steps until we found one! We found the Winningpost and a friendly lady greeted us with the news that they served all-day breakfasts and there were several options too! I chose the large full-English which consisted of 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausages, a plum tomato, baked beans and 2 slices of toast, plus a glass of orange juice and a mug of tea. It was well worth the 4,000+ steps that it took us to get there! Great food. Friendly service. Definitely worth a visit.
Amazing place . Food always good . The girls work hard . Plenty of banter. Definitely make a trip to the winning post when in Benidorm xx
Wow the food is amazing deb the waitress couldn’t do enough for us the Sunday lunch 💯👍so come back to try the pie and mash we shall be back that’s for sure

Desayuno inglish rico
Precio correcto. Sólo aceptan dinero en efectivo.
Buenas pintas y buen precio
If possible I would leave a 4.5 Star Review. The bar is very central and next door to the original Yorkshire Pride. The advantage to The Winning Post however, is the ability to be able to enjoy Drinking, Eating, Gambling, Listening to 90's Music, as well as watch the world go by, in particular Hungover Brits and those driving Mobility Scooters whilst those still under the influence. We were lucky, as both of our servers were very attentive(even vying for our service) and efficient. One observation is that non-eaters do not qualify for Table Service, so my Friend Stephan(Steve) ordered a Sausage Bap, just so he didn't have to get up to buy a drink - He's a likkle lazy to be honest. That said, it is also not uncommon for him to expect to be waited on hand and foot. There is also a 'Slot Machine', which we slipped in a quick €50 into and walked away with a cool €109, albeit all in €1 Coins. The Brandy wasn't strong in % Proof, but was very pleasant all the same. After a few scoops, the 'Munchies' set in for the both of us and Curry, Chips and Baps were ordered - Again, these did not disappoint at all. A trip to the Restrooms post, revealed cleanliness, hand wash and 2 Ply bog paper, albeit in a tighter than desired cubicle. After a couple of hours it was time to move on, so we requested the bill. Super surprised to be fair, as we'd give it a good 'crack' and still had change from a Nifty Fifty, in reality most/all of it was paid from the One Armed Bandit winnings(in coins). Our betting on the Dogs and Horses wasn't super successful and there is definitely a mood shift of the Staff when making a bet versus collecting any winnings. Overall a good bar and worth a try. Definitely a 4.5 Star - In our opinion.....
Great little place to come for food during the day. We had breakfast here a few times and it always hit the spot after a late night of drinking. Staff were friendly and one of the waitresses is really pretty (I didn't tell her tho) If you enjoy the whole betting scene like with horses and dogs etc this is the place for you.

Helpful staff. We really enjoyed our Scottish breakfasts. It's nice they offer a large option as my partner was starving. We don't know Calle Gerona well so it was nice to get some advice.

As a bar 🍻 and cafe I am not sure about this place. There is and I know people watch the races here etc, a strange atmosphere. Couples just sitting in silence as though they are in a public Library. Having said that the staff are friendly and there is table service. My wife ordered a small Sunday roast, which she said was amazing and fantastic value. So if you like a bet or just want something to eat 🍴 or drink in a subdued location then this place is for you 👍👍👍

Walked in there, felt like we were bothering old skinny waitress, for ordering food, she was miserable , huffed, like she didn’t want to work there, asked if I could have hash brown instead of bacon for my Scottish breakfast, straight no with a scowl, I added hash brown to my breakfast, waisting the bacon , as didn’t want it, 🤔 no hello’s please or Thankyou, this is our holiday, choosing to go there for something to eat, please get staff that happily want to work there, as they say leave your problems at the door at work, she didn’t look that clean either, had to wipe can of orange and water bottle before touching and pouring ,serve people how you’d want to be served on holiday Only giving it a 2 because of her food was ok Ish
I have enjoyed a few meals here over the winter, but today will be my last. I managed to get Debbie's attention after sitting at a dirty table for about 10 minutes, only to get a half-hearted excuse and curtly being asked "So what is it you want?" It crossed my mind to say "It doesn't matter" and leave, but I ordered a roast beef dinner which duly arrived a few minutes later on my dirty table which was never cleaned during my visit. There were no other clean tables for me to sit at, so I had no choice but to sit at a dirty table (which was never cleaned at all). The food was delicious, but I even had trouble trying to pay for it afterwards. Cheryl and other staff members simply ignored me as I was standing at the bar trying to get their attention and showed no desire to take my money (which pays their wages). Eventually Adina took my money. She is the only shining light in what is a chaotic, dysfunctional and unprofessional set-up. I have seen better run market stalls. Nobody has a clue what they are doing or any desire to provide decent customer service. Dirty tables and poor staff attitudes are ruining the great work of the kitchen. I would be fuming if I was the owner, and I certainly wouldn't defend the indefensible. To put it into perspective, this is simply a betting shop that sells food. Expecting clean tables and reasonable customer service isn't a big ask. On a separate note, I don't expect to see staff being reprimanded in front of customers either. I recently overheard the owner reprimanding a waitress for speaking Polish, saying that you work in an English café so you speak English here. If I was her, I would be looking for another job. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. There are much better places than this.

Disgusting, Salad was okay but it was out of a bag, burger had a cheap taste, chips had a strange powder addition. Husband had pie a mash, he said it was the worst mash he’s ever had in his 79 years. We’ve had meals here before and they were like home made… don’t know where the hell these were made, couldn’t eat them. Very disappointing.
