Hui Lau Shan Berkeley Reviews
Was in the neighborhood, drove by and we had to stop on in to get some mango sago togo.
I love this place! My husband and I ordered through Snackpass because it was our first time using the app, and I believe we got 5% off — though I’m not entirely sure. We ordered the Passion Fruit Mango Icy and Mango & Coconut with Crystal Jelly, and we loved both drinks. The passion fruit mango is perfect for a hot day, especially after a heavy or oily meal — it’s so refreshing and really helps cleanse the palate. The mango & coconut is an amazing combination; the mango and crystal jelly balance out the richness of the coconut perfectly, creating a well-rounded, delicious drink that you have to try. The sweetness is just right — not too sweet, which I really appreciate. The shop itself is quite small with limited seating, so it’s more of a pick-up-and-go spot. The service was decent — not over-the-top, but good enough for a quick stop. Parking can be a bit challenging, so keep that in mind when you visit.
This is one of my favorite drinks I’ve ever had. I ordered the mango and coconut juice with Crystal jelly and it reminds me of drinking a mango sticky rice dessert in a drink. Delicious flavor and texture and sweetness.
Great dessert place for mangoes, sugar water bowls, and other assorted bites. A couple seats up front with a larger seating area in the back!
I’ve only ordered from here on DoorDash but it’s delicious every time. Love the mango and coconut with sago drink!
They made my drink quickly even I was surprised The mango coconut with sago was very good and not too sweet! I recommend this place, serves high quality drinks and food
Tiny and cozy spot, not the same as what I'm used to in Seattle. But same high quaity desserts!

I have been in love with Hui Lau Shan for the past three years!! This location is absolutely amazing and the service never disappoints. The only con about the location is that parking is very difficult to accomplish, depending on how long you expect to be in the building. I would recommend just walking here. All items on the menu are delicious and you always get super sweet and just delectable mangoes in your dessert. If you’re further away though, I would recommend bot ordering through any online services just because these desserts and other menu items are best enjoyed fresh, not after being driven around. There isn’t that much seating in the building, but you’ll usually be able to find a seat, even if you’re a group of 3+! Bring your friends and all alike!

if you don't like or are allergic to mangoes this place has nothing for you, but if you love mangoes, man-go here.
Just like you’re in Hong Kong! Packaging is a bit iffy. Coconut cream seeps through the cracks if you’re transporting your dessert.
If you are a mango lover this is your place. I personally love mango. They have many mango treat choices so you are sure to find a few you like. The mango’s they use are fresh and ripe! Just the perfect sweetness. Seems all Orders are freshly made which is another plus. The store is small and they have hardly any service. You order on a tablet and they bring it out and call your name and place it down. Hence no real service. I went early and the few seats they have were clean. I think this is more of a grab and go sorta place.
Mango dessert store which come from HongKong, and now they bring the new branding identify located in Berkeley, 95% desserts are about mango, so if you are a mango lover, don't miss it.
Nice mango dessert place! Love the tea most which dilute the sweetness a little
the desserts were very good; the mango seemed quite fresh. there is very limited seating inside though.

The worker is nice, the shop is small with few seating. I ordered for here, expecting a glass container, but it was still a togo plastic. Which is fine, but I noted that. The mango dessert tasted superrr refreshing and sweet.
Parking is difficult in the area. Other than that, late Sunday afternoon we were able to quickly order. The place is small so make plans to take it to go if you're with a group of people. Mango is the star of the menu. Step up to the self order kiosk, make sure to grab your receipt once you're done because they will call by your order number. I got a regular order of mango chewy balls and a mango coconut with crystal jelly. I would definitely go back to try other menu items.

The smalled HLS location I have ever been to! There is a small bar area to the right and a tiny table by the window that can fit 2-3 people. The inside is really warm and stuffy too... Not a super clean store. There was condom at the table we were sitting at (???) Anyways... My boyfriend and I ordered our usual: the Jumbo Mango Chewy Ball. We got our order pretty quickly. The mangos were pretty ripe and they gave a good amount of ingredients - especially the mango pudding! They really packed tons in there. Overall, the desserts are pretty good here... but I wouldn't recommend going out of the way to come here since the parking and ambiance situation are uncomfortable.
I ordered through snackpass. I was satisfied that because the service was fast. It was my first time eating something called Sago, but it wasn't good. However, the mango chewy ball was delicious.
I was expecting more from this place. The desserts are flavorless and seem to come pre-packaged. Can't speak for the drinks, we didn't get any.

Dessert was in plastic cups, which really took away from the experience. Some of the desserts were frozen solid or tasteless. Really tiny store, so not much of a good environment either. Would not come back.

Horrible service i wanted a drink got something else which was already paid for. Then I told the lady in front I didn’t want this she said we can’t do anything. Then I had to pay again for the drink I wanted. The lady was super rude and she kept the food which I payed for a left behind. I been coming for a while now this is my last time.
