Yi Fang Tea Berkeley Reviews
Super delicious fruit, tea, and the other drink choices. This is an authentic Taiwanese tea with a lot of Taiwanese local ingredients. I strongly recommended if you want to try true and authentic Taiwanese tea.
This is the best boba place ive even been to. They are well known for the fruit teas but personally i love their brown sugar milk tea. The boba is also very chewy. If you love sugarcane, they have sugarcane milk for u to try. Also try their wintermelon drink
This is a Taiwanese style boba tea place. It's very popular and it's take out only. There is good variety of milk and fruit tea and they are quite good.
My first time trying Taiwanese pearl milk tea drink in the US! And for the first timer, Yifang gives me a good impression with the great taste drink. Yifang in the US now is only located in California. The one that we visited is located only 1 minutes walking from University of California, Berkeley, so that we could see a lot of student here. Their speciality is definitely the fruit tea, especially pineapple. Well, because I was so excited with matcha drink, I skipped their signature drink. If I come back to Yifang again, I definitely will try their fruit tea 🙂 Yifang serves variant of drink made from Tea, Yakult, Sugar Cane, Fruit Tea, Tea Latte, Salted Cream with medium and large size. We could also request for the sweetness and ice level. I tried Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha Latte in medium size (USD 5.5). A combination of uji matcha, brown sugar pearl, plus the brown sugar itself. What a good combination! Love the freshness and the less sweet taste. The small pearl is tender, too.
Great boba! Top choice around Berkeley. Brown sugar pearl milk tea and mango fruit tea are the two I often have and they are both great. Others are also good. They have variety of choices ranging from milk tea to sago. Indeed a go-to place if you are craving for milk tea.
This place was pretty cool. You come in and order on an iPad. The menu has suggestions on sweetness level and boba toppings which is helpful. After the order is placed they have a tv that displaces the status of ur order. We got the strawberry milk with grass jelly and the matcha latte with brown sugar boba.
Our favorite boba place! They opened not too long ago near the Berkeley campus. Be sure to try their brown sugar boba fresh milk! They only use Clover organic milk btw.
I like the option of choosing the sweetness, My preference is 70%. If you want the regular sweetness like ding tea I would choose 100%. Boba is super soft

Best fruit tea in Berkeley. Wouldn't necessarily recommend the milk teas, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the non-milk based flavors. They sometimes hand these out at Sproul and I'm never disappointed.

Stopped by after touring UC Berkeley. A little pricey. 4 drinks and 2 orders of the egg pancake was $44. There are 2 self order kiosks. We were the only ones there so everything was done in 5-7 minutes. The menu states the egg pancakes can be 10-15 minutes. Drinks were good. Boba was still warm. It is nice and chewy. The egg pancake is a like a pancake/waffle with a Mochi like texture. Nothing inside which is what we prefer. There is no seating but you can go across the street and find a place outside to sit on campus.
Superior boba (tapioca pearls). They were soft with the perfect amount of chewiness and sweetness. The smoothie drink portion is interesting. I didn’t quite find a right combination. I had a matcha with almond milk mix, which wasn’t good on my part because although the taste was nice, it was a bit thick. Also tried, the Yifang fruit tea. It has actual slices of fruit in it so it wasn’t my taste and took up space. They also had passion fruit seeds in it that were a bit crunchy. I definitely need to go back and give it another go.
Came back from Asia to find this place is also in the USA! As if the bay area needed another boba place, but worth a try if you're in the area. I like this place because nothing is overly sweet. When you ask for 50% sweetness it really is 50% sweet not the usual "I need to get 50% sweetness to make it a bearable amount of sugar". Another cool thing is that you can see them make boba in the front! Well.. really it's just dumping a bag of dried tapioca balls into hot water with sugar and mixing it, but still cool! Their Brown Sugar pearl latte and their Yifang fruit tea are good things to get! Their boba is soft and chewy, and their drinks use quality ingredients! (Explains why the prices are higher than other boba places).
I ordered Strawberry Snow Top. So fresh and delicious. 50% sweetness is perfect for this drink.
Grass Jelly Almond Latte is an absolute favorite. Half sweet all drinks as this place's drinks are all very sweet. Hours are a little meh. Overall great boba place. Update - was finally able to try the Taiwanese Egg Pancake and it was fantastic! Would definitely order again!
I think the Berkeley one location tea quality is better , more stronger.

The mango sago tastes not bad and above average. Not much coconut flavour and mango is not sufficient. They don't have any seats to drink and relax. Given the pricy juice and hot environment inside the shop I would give 3 star.
Their new item: matcha with brown sugar pearl. It comes with fixed ice and sugar. I think it was too sweet and the brown sugar flavor completely blocked the matcha taste. And the drink costed 6.25$ for the medium one. Kind of pricey.

This place used to be better. I go here for the brown sugar pearl milk tea. Nowadays they are cheap with the brown sugar and the drink appears to be diluted. This Yifang is still better than the other Yifangs. The best part is the hot college girls that come here. Makes it worth the trip. Makes me miss college every time I go here.
My experience was pretty average—nothing really stood out. I tried the lychee oolong tea latte, but found the oolong flavor too weak and the drink itself overly diluted. Even though I ordered just 30% sugar, it was still much too sweet for my taste.

Boba is good but not so good as to warrant the price and the immense delay in delivering orders. Seriously, the waiting time is ridiculous compared to most other boba places I've been to and the quality doesn't entirely manage to justify that. Service is not top notch, definitely. If you want to grab a fast boba on your way, this is not the place to go. Expect at least 20-30 minutes of waiting even for a small queue. Overall, below average experience.
