Strange Brew Cafe Binghamton Reviews
I’ve been a loyal patron of this establishment since 2016, and I can confidently say that I have never had a bad experience. While I tend to stick to my favorites, my culinary expertise allows me to appreciate the artistry behind their dishes. The presentation is simply superb, and the enticing counter display is a feast for the eyes that always leaves me craving more. What truly impresses me is their unwavering consistency; it's a joy to witness their growth over the years. Alex and Amelia, along with their family, have cultivated a remarkable dining experience that inspires not only me but also countless others. Their dedication to quality and innovation shines through in every detail. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone who hasn’t had the pleasure of dining here to pay a visit. Trust me, you’ll be amazed! Let’s continue to support this incredible family and their endeavor. Sending my appreciation and prayers for continued success—keep up the outstanding work!
Truly a place of kindness and warmth. A place where the baristas know your name and greet you with a smile even when it’s busy. I love coming here during the week and on the weekends and the drinks are always great and the food is amazing. The drinks of the week are always spot on and I love how creative they are for the holidays. Always a staple and will always come back!
WOW. I’m very particular about coffee and pretty hard to please but everything about Strange Brew Cafe hit the spot! The barista/cashier was so friendly, helpful in recommendations, my latte was delicious (so glad I went with a large!), and my very picky teen and I enjoyed what we dubbed the best breakfast sandwiches we’ve ever had (he had the Brooklyn & I had the Garden). We also tried a couple of pastries, also amazing. No pictures because we devoured everything while I drove (warning: a bit messy, dine in if you can’t wait) but we wish we lived closer than an hour & a half away - though maybe it’s best we don’t!
Strange Brew has been my favorite spot since they opened up. The food is always delicious, the drinks are made to order, to perfection. The owners and staff are welcoming and treat me like family. I can't imagine going anywhere else for a quick breakfast lunch or drink.
Strange Brew is a spot we frequent often. The staff is always so welcoming and quick! The food is fresh, tastes great, and they accommodate dietary restrictions.
I’m going to be very blunt. THIS WAS THE BEST BREAKFAST SAMMIE IVE EVER HAD!!! We ordered from the hospital and of course I messed it up and said pick up. I called the shop and asked if they could help without any issue they did! Called me when they were here and it was still warm! Seriously! Will be coming again!!! And ordering every time I’m working! Thank you so much! Keep up the great work!!!
The best coffee shop in town! You can sip your delicious coffee while watching the historic downtown street. The staff is very smiling and friendly, and the place has a beautiful design. The owners are also very helpful, and the prices are quite reasonable. The cakes are also incredibly tasty! The owners are incredibly helpful and honest. We forgot our bag there yesterday, and before we even noticed it was gone, they tracked us down on Facebook to let us know. It’s a very safe and trustworthy business. We are so thankful to them!
We drive from Elmira once or twice a month to go to Strange Brew! Our biggest decision is do we want to go for breakfast or lunch! Menu items are great for both 😊. Service is always pleasant and atmosphere is enjoyable. Sometimes seating can be challenging (busy place). In warmer weather you have the option of outside seating! Definitely worth the driveway
Strange Brew is my absolute favorite place to grab coffee. The quality of their espresso is amazing and the lattes are so smooth they taste phenomenal. I love all of their seasonal flavored lattes, especially the banana bread one. I can't speak on the food as much because I only really come for the coffee, but the pastries I've had are also really good. Cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking for a really good quality coffee. The staff and atmosphere are also great! (Commenting to enter the giveaway)
Glad I found this place! Strange Brew Cafe is conveniently located in Binghamton. I wasn’t disappointed at all. The breakfast sandwich (Hashtag) was amazing! I picked up a box of coffee cakes for my team and they loved it. The matcha latte was creamy and delicious. I’d visit again whenever I’m in the area.
The food here is delicious! So much variety and it’s all so consistently good. They have baked goods but also sandwiches and other savory items. The coffee and drinks are delicious as well. They have some creative specialty beverages that are fun to try, and the best part is the enthusiasm of the staff when you try their creation! It can get crowded on the weekend mornings - it is fairly small inside, no bathroom, and there is not too much seating. However, the tables usually turn over quickly so something usually pops up. Best for groups of 2 or 3 people, but I have been here with larger groups of 4-6 as well. If you have a larger group it’s better to get there earlier. Overall, love this place, great bustling vibe, and it has always been worth the visit!
I’ve been coming here almost every Monday since my sophomore year of high school (I’m a junior now) they have been so nice every single time, my order of a large vanilla bubble tea with a green tea base, vanilla, tapioca, and light ice (and sometimes the almond croissant) always make me so delighted and always make me feel so much whimsy and joy with my life. The drinks 10/10, the food 10/10, the staff 10/10. The reason why the food and drinks taste so good is because they put love into it! If anyone wants to try food or drinks in the area i recommend this place!
My partner and I went here for breakfast on a beautiful Sunday morning around 9. It was a little busy, but there were tables available still for seating. I have a gluten allergy and the barista took my order and answered all my questions! I got the egg white omelet with a side salad. (The potato side has gluten) It was absolutely delicious and made with a chef’s kiss. The presentation blew me away! I wish I got a photo of our meals for our review but we had to dig in immediately. And the ingredients were fresh! I wanted to sit there all day, sip my coffee and order more food for lunch time. The bakery section looked phenomenal. We got 2 gluten free pastries items to go. Everyone was super friendly. The only thing that upset me was that 2 customers there brought in coffee from another place, 7brew?! How rude of those customers. They did order food from Strange brew. But how weird… who brings coffee from another establishment to a place that sells way better coffee. Next time I will try a sandwich and sub the bread with a gluten free wrap. I love you, Strange Brew.
Our agency recently was provided a very large catering order from Strange Brew- and we could not have been more pleased with the outcome. The ordering was done via email and was so easy. They were able to make adjustments to suit our Gluten Free needs. The payment and delivery were also very easy. Their staff showed up on time, set up, and ensured we had everything we needed. They were so kind and professional through the entire process. Our guests loved the fresh food and hot coffee. We even had a self described "coffee snob" say this was the best conference coffee ever. We felt Strang Brew respected everything we asked for and exceeded expectations. Thank you, Strange Brew!
Today was just my second day at Strange Brew on Washington Street, Binghamton, NY … and the Barista, Sasha knew my order from yesterday … that was really amazing to me … one of the owners, Alex made my 5oz Espresso with Steamed Whole Milk in a 16oz cup … it was perfect … just like yesterday … the Chocolate Croissant was really good too … I highly recommend this delightful cafe … I will be a regular here since I charge my Jeep next door … LIVE LOVE LAUGH & EAT ALWAYS … 💙🇮🇱💙
Everything about this place is amazing. From the vibe, the food, kind staff, and great coffee. I went here for lunch for the first time and was blown away by how good the food was! I got their Pulled Chicken pressed sandwich on their asiago house bread with Chicken Corn Chowder. WOW, absolutely fantastic, seriously best sandwich I've had in the area, and the soup was incredible. I also got an Iced Latte which was great! I'll definitely be back, especially for their delicious looking breakfast!!!
My husband and I were very happy to find this restaurant with vegan options on our travels. I love that they have multiple vegan scramble options. My husband got the cheesy tofu scramble and added avocado. I got the mushroom tofu scramble and added jalapeños. Everything was hot, tasty and well prepared. The immunity juice is really nice as well.
It was a cute, little, modern day self serve bistro. Its what you image a coffee shop should be. Food was good and came out fast. Not a lot of seating for big groups.
I don’t quite get how it got its name. The only thing that may be considered strange would be one wall of decals. I think a more fitting name would be something to do with how good their drinks are. I ordered a vanilla bean frappe and I think it was the best one I have ever had! They also have a huge variety of flavor options for their drinks. It was quite impressive. Their food menu had a lot of options. A Mac’n cheese grilled cheese isn’t something I’ve seen on a menu anywhere else. The prices of the food were too steep for me unfortunately so I can’t say how any of that tastes. The display case of cookies and muffins etc. sure looked inviting though. The sitting area is pretty and most seats were filled it’s definitely a popular place.
A cool place to drink coffee—I’ve been there many times since it was close to my dorm. The coffee and desserts are pretty decent. However, the elderflower latte was one of the worst mistakes I’ve ever made.
The cafe is conveniently located in a business/shopping area. There are pay to park lines ($1 for an hour) in front of the cafe, making it easy to make a stop. Clean and shaded outdoor seating and spacious indoor dining. The service was great and staff friendly. But the beverage we ordered was just okay to my liking. The actual offering is not as diverse as shown in the menu. Many items were not available. Overall, it was a pleasant experience
NOT worth $53: Weak coffee, odd-flavoured boba tea, and outrageously expensive sandwiches that have a rancid oil aftertaste and contain barely any meat. Stay away from the Grilled Mac and Cheese. The mix of cheeses tasted odd, and the pasta was overcooked, making each bite into the grilled sandwich an unpleasant experience. Last but not least, the dining area has large window without filters so the sun will cook you. Yes, it was 5 °C outside, but it felt like it was over 30 °C - and that was two seating tables away from the window. If you enjoy having breakfast naked, come to the Strange Brew Cafe! The staff was friendly, though.
