Great food. Service and ambiance are very good.

Not only was the food delicious, but I called donatos for an impromptu bday party for my daughter and they could not have been more accommodating. Warm and cozy atmosphere - we will back for sure!

Excellent food -- been going there for literally YEARS (even when it was in it's prior incarnation) and the food is always very fresh and high quality. There are some wonderful waitstaff, in particular Juan Carlos, who has been there for years. The owner himself is very friendly and outgoing. The salads are excellent, and really all of the italian specials they have are always good too. Bonus is great biscotti to end your meal with an espresso!

Amazing food! I was craving some good pasta and this place delivered! I’d recommend to everyone!

Donato's is a neighborhood gem! The salads are always fresh and delicious and the fig pizzette is my absolute favorite dish! The staff are always friendly and attentive! I highly recommend Donato's! It's a must try!

The primary waiter, Juan Carlos, has been there since they opened. He is very nice, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu options. The kitchen staff deals well with dietary restrictions/preferences. The owner, Phil, is often present and has specials every week, Friday through Thursday. Weekly specials usually include appetizer options, and pasta, meat and fish entree options. The extensive menu includes not only Italian staples, but also burger and sandwich options, with fries that stay crispy. Although I wouldn’t necessarily have expected it at an Italian restaurant, the sirloin steak is always tender, cooked exactly as ordered, and delicious! Make sure you look at the plentiful and exquisite salad options full of fresh ingredients!

Food and atmosphere was excellent. Even on a very busy Friday evening. But because it was so busy, service suffered a bit but not enough to knock it down by More than one star. Overall we would definitely come back and heartily recommend this restaurant.

So pleasantly surprised with everything we ordered via grub hub. Everything was piping hot, delicious, and well packed - even on a Friday night. Will definitely be keeping this place in my back pocket. I thought my husband was an insane person to order veal as take out, but it was better than anything we’ve had at a restaurant in recent memory. Great local place!

Food was good Service was ok. They can get busy quickly. Price was ok. About what you'd expect. I need to try more food before I could give an accurate description of quality. They also have gluten free pizza.

A GREAT ITALIAN RESTAURANT in a pizzeria! Been dining here for years..maybe 100 times or more! NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL EVER! It's small and tucked away but beleve me it's fine, homey and good. Don't miss the specials of the week! The owner is hands on and his wait staff is very attentive

Since I moved to Briarcliff a year ago, I have been in search of a classic slice of pizza. I am also extremely adverse/somewhat allergic to garlic. So I was very pleased to find Donato’s. Phil has spent time to hear out my ‘issues!’ I’ve been several times since our first convo. I am so pleased with the Arugula/Prosciutto pizza and just tonight with the Rigatoni Ragusa. The kitchen understands my ‘allergies’ and is always accommodating. And the staff (especially Juan Carlos) is amazing. I didn’t ask the name of my young server tonight, but he was clearly well trained. Customer satisfaction is key and they do it well. And while I don’t mean to be difficult, I have special issues. plus I am 100% Italian (born and raised) so I am not your Olive Garden customer and like Marcella Hazan I “abhor the overuse of garlic!” These guys know what they are doing! And btw, if you are a fan of garlic, they do it well. 🙂 thank you.

I ordered a personal mushroom pizza without tomatoes…the staff circled and marked the order with a star on the receipt! See receipt and pizza below. While there were no sun dried tomatoes on top of the pizza, they covered the pizza with tomatoe sauce. My daughter, who is allergic to tomatoes, could not eat the pizza. When I called to complain…I was told “it’s a pizza”. I told the young lady we would never give them business again.

The bold white guy that makes the pizza is such a horrible person! Such an attitude towards the costumers and even the workers. I would not wanna come back just because I cannot stand this dude. The servers are welcoming and sweet but this dude needs a reality check.

Furthermore, we witnessed a staff member (same girl who took my order) handling pizza slices directly with their bare hands, then placing them into a box for another customer. This lack of hygiene was deeply concerning and unsanitary. We understand that mistakes happen, but this incident raises serious concerns about both order accuracy and food safety protocols. We kindly request your attention to these matters to prevent similar situations in the future. Improved staff training, particularly regarding order taking and food handling procedures, would significantly enhance customer satisfaction and ensure compliance with hygiene standards. We value your establishment and hope to see improvements in these areas.
