At The Wallace Broadway Reviews
I've found my new favorite spot in this part of town. This restaurant charges appropriately for its offerings. They give generous portions, charge appropriate prices, and serve delicious dishes. The employees maintained friendly attitudes consistently. Check out this place right away.
The best experiences with quality, service, and attentiveness. The treatment received from your team is unique. Cody is the best. Thank you for your attention.
Best dive bar in the city, hands down. The most consistent of bar food. Cold pints. Friendly staff. Funny-as-hell social media, even. The new-and-improved patio outside makes up for the jank barriers they had up for what feels like the last two years. I personally keep coming back for the cheap drinks, bomb burgers, crispy waffle fries, and of course: hot dog nights on Mondays. I'll even forgive you guys for confining the hot dogs to one night a week only. I get it, they just had too much power and needed to be held back to let the competition catch up. One of the door guys that IDs people can be grumpy as hell at times, but it's like an endearing-kinda-grumpy--I'm sure he's seen some crap, so I can't judge too hard. Their only flaw is they're a Cleveland bar, but hey, none of us can be perfect. I still love you guys.
Came here this Wednesday afternoon for a quick visit. Been here dozens of times but finally getting around to writing this. This spot is one of my favorites in the entire city. It feels like a home away from home. There’s a divey-arcade vibe with solid food, great service, and almost Chicago meets Nashville meets Austin unique-ness with the decor and atmosphere. There’s quirky signage and bumper stickers galore, twinkle lights, exposed brick, flat screens and plenty of fun games to play. There’s outdoor seating if that’s your vibe. Only thing I don’t care for is the music, doesn’t seem to match…anyway, Cody the bartender is AWESOME and so chill. He could take anybody’s bad day and make them feel welcome and like they have a friend and somewhere safe to go. Curious on their weekly events/potentially live music! At the wallace is always a good idea…btw, here on a Wednesday and the place is packed. A neighborhood gem for a reason! :)
Tried delivery from At The Wallace in Harlem for the first time, and it did not disappoint! My order came in earlier than expected and in perfect condition. I went for three burgers: the “Famous Wallace Cheeseburger”, “The Smash,” and the “Healthy Living” (a light and tasty Turkey Burger). They’re not huge, which made getting three a great choice, but they’re absolutely packed with flavor. The Smash on pretzel bread was a standout, with caramelized onions and the thousand islands sauce and every burger was loaded with delicious ingredients. Can’t wait to explore their great menu even more! Quality, taste, super affordable prices (which is a plus!) and variety make this spot is a must-try!
We love At the Wallace. Have been coming here for 8+ years. It's the perfect mix of great food and affordable drinks. Plus the games make it really fun for adults and kids. We used to come way before having our daughter and now we know it's the perfect place for an afternoon drink while our kid eats their delicious nuggets. It's truly an atmosphere where everyone is welcomed!
ATTENTION OWNER: I’ve been coming to this bar for years and love it—the staff is fantastic, the drinks are great, and the Smash Burger is one of my favorites burgers period. 🚨 BUT I want to bring something to your attention. Theres a huge cardboard wall in front of the bar that’s negatively impacting your business. From talking to other patrons, we all feel like we’re missing out on the summer sunshine, fresh air and seeing people walk by because the bar feels like a CLOSED DARK box. The cardboard has been up for almost two years and makes the place look uninviting and abandoned, discouraging potential customers. Either fix the pipes covered by the cardboard wall asap or reduce its size to half, to allow people to see inside and outside, which would make the bar more welcoming. 💡Here are pictures showing the space before and after the installation of the cardboard wall. The wall was originally painted black, but it has since been repainted.
Always a blast with the food, the drinks, the games and the awesome music. Open until 1 or 2am on week days and 4am on week end you are sure to have a great time and the least a cool chill njght. Always consistent and fun. Great place to visit if you not from the neighborhood and of you live around.
It took me so long to go here but I'm so happy that I did! This is easily the best "bar food" (American cuisine?) in the area! First of all, the vegan dog slaps, regardless of your dietary lifestyle. I also had the spicy chicken sandwich which, as much of a not chicken/meat fan I am, this one is FIRE, so crispy, spicy, good, it don't make no sense! The popcorn shrimp comes in a huge cup that feels like something from the movies. Waffle fries toasty and yummy. Will update after I try the burger!
Harlem please!!! Great dive bar and very friendly staff. They have great drinks special and typical average drinks. This bar is definitely a neighborhood favorite. It took me a minute to figure out that I can seat myself anywhere. Lol. I ordered a Jack Shandy and popcorn shrimp 🍤 The cocktail drink are large. 😃😃😄😂
Great Prices! Super crowded specially on Friday and Saturday night! But the best of it is the Harlem Dog 🌭 its Delicious 😋 the only bad thing is ordering at the bar when its super crowded only 2 bartenders for a lot of people waiting to order! I suggest to the administration to put the barback to take order too or another bartender on busy hours! Everything else its a great place to go, drink/eat cheap and take a picture on their photo booth!!!
Not what I was expecting based on the reviews I read. We sat at the bar and was basically ignored by the bartender. Even after waving and shouting to get his attention over the noise, he saw us and just passed us over to serve his friends or maybe regulars who showed up after us. Nothing on the menu appealed to me but since we were already there we decided to snack on something small. My husband had 2 shots of vodka and I had some disappointing waffle fries and chicken nuggets. We made light of the matter and left. Not my crowd, but a very interesting place for people watching. Yes, I thought we were at Harlem Public…I walked into this place in error. My expectations were way too high 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve been here before with no issues, but this last visit was incredibly disappointing. There were four open seats at the bar. One had a drink sitting there, so we checked with the bartender to see if it was available. We even told them we were fine with one of us standing if needed, but were told we couldn’t sit there because the seats were being “saved” for people outside smoking. At a bar. What really baffled me, though, was that the person whose drink was holding the seat immediately closed out and left. I watched it happen, so I was confused when we were still told we couldn’t sit there. Then, a couple came in after us and was seated right away. When we asked why they could sit and we couldn’t, the response was simply that it was “just two people.” There were three open seats, and we had already offered a solution. It was frustrating and honestly felt unfair. Another customer even noticed us leaving and asked what had happened. When I explained, they agreed it was a strange and awkward situation. Even the other bartender didn’t seem to understand what had gone wrong. I truly hope this was just an isolated incident, but it felt like there was a lack of basic consistency and understanding. There are so many good places to go in this area, and I’m sad to say this won’t be one I’ll be returning to.
