Pazza Notte Broadway Reviews
Finally got the chance to come with a friend for lunch after strolling around the farmer’s market. This restaurant is beautiful inside and out, has bar seating, tables, and a spacious patio underneath lovely midtown trees. The inside is super bright, lots of decor on the walls, flowers everywhere, and the energy was great. We came on an early Saturday afternoon with no reservation but were seated after 20 minutes. Even then, the restaurant was packed! I would definitely recommend getting a reservation if you plan to come later in the evening and/or have a large group with you (it was only two of us). I decided to order the soup of the day, which I believe was a squash/butternut squash soup, Parmesan and truffle fries, and my friend ordered the truffle macaroni and cheese with the “the hipster” cocktail. They also brought complimentary rosemary bread and oil. The bread was soft, the cocktail was great and very decent portion, the soup was perfectly balanced and went great with the toasted bread. The fries were a little cold but tasty and came with garlic aioli and ketchup. My friend said her macaroni and cheese was yummy and she would order again. The menu is full of options and we will definitely be back to try more things. Must come if wanting either a romantic night out or a lovely dinner with friends!
The best food! I loved the atmosphere and decor, they had great service. Would definitely go again
My daughter has been telling me about Pazza Notte for a while and insisted I had to try it, so we finally went, and I’m so glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing. My dish tasted incredibly fresh, and you could really tell everything was made with care. The restaurant itself is very cute and has a great atmosphere, and the entire staff was wonderful, including our waiter who made the experience even better. We all agreed this is definitely going to become one of our regular spots, at least once a month!
Khari gave us the absolute best service we have ever received at Pazza Notte. From the moment we sat down, he was welcoming, professional, and genuinely friendly. He made us feel like valued guests, not just another table. He was extremely attentive without being overbearing — always checking in at the right moments, making sure our drinks were full, and that everything came out perfectly. His recommendations were spot on, and you can tell he truly cares about the guest experience. What stood out the most was his positive energy and attention to detail. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made the entire evening feel smooth and enjoyable. It is rare to receive service that memorable. If you visit Pazza Notte, ask for Khari. He truly sets the standard for what outstanding service should look like.
Pazza Notte is clearly a very popular spot in Midtown. The night I went, it was packed and lively, with a DJ playing music and a fun, energetic atmosphere. I sat at the bar and had a great experience overall. I ordered a martini, penne à la vodka, and a Caesar salad. The martini was excellent, and the pasta was absolutely amazing—rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Easily the standout of the meal. The Caesar salad, however, missed the mark for me. It didn’t taste like a traditional Caesar dressing at all and came across more like a watered-down buttermilk dressing. I’d love to see them improve or rethink that dressing because the rest of the food was so strong. The waitstaff were wonderful—friendly, attentive, and clearly handling a busy crowd with ease. There’s also a lovely outdoor seating area, which adds to the appeal. Overall, great vibes, great drinks, and fantastic pasta. I’d definitely return—just skipping the Caesar next time.
Let’s start off with this location is way better than the nyc location and I’ve been to both now at least 6 times each. The Sacramento location is a fun environment with engaging staff, warm decor, and delicious yet not overpriced food. This is our favorite place to bring guests visiting or if we’re celebrating an occasion. Greg is my favorite server. Each time we are seated in his section, he goes above and beyond to make our dinner special. I have not had one dish there that is bad and I try something new each time. Yum! I’m a fan. Keep it up!
We went to Pazza Notte on a Friday night, and it was a great time overall. The food was really good. Ordered the penne vodka and pollo alla milanese with an assortment of apps. It was flavorful and well-made. The atmosphere was fun, lively, and energetic, perfect for a night out with friends. The place was packed and buzzing, giving it a vibrant, social feel. Service was friendly and fast, even with the crowd. I’d say, skip the martinis. Just a bit off balance and not as smooth as we hoped. Still, with the great food and high energy, it didn’t ruin the night. Bottom line: Great spot for good food and a fun Friday vibe, just maybe skip the martini and try something else from the bar.
When I walked in, it was beautiful and bright. Chaz was our waitress and she was excellent and fun. I was there with my daughter and we had such a great time. Also, the food was excellent. We shared the Caesar salad and it was outstanding. I always order a Caesar salad especially in a new restaurant. Pazzo did not disappoint a cream pasta with chunks of amazing needy, bacon. The focaccia was great. I promised Chaz I’d come back with my husband who will definitely eat much more than we did. I will update my review next time to reflect different dishes and photos. I can’t wait.
Came here for dinner before a broadway Sacramento show and we will be back. Had the Caesar and calamari. Both portions were huge and we did not have room to try their pasta. The pastas we saw others get looked and smelled amazing. Our appetizers were delicious! I love Caesar salad and know a good one, this is one of the best. I recommend making a reservation or if there’s a wait sit at the bar like we did. Patsy our bartender was awesome! She was super friendly and working hard. John the bar back was also great. It was his first day but he crushed it. My Shirley temple was refilled before I even realized I needed one. This is the perfect spot for a date night, group celebration, or stopping in for drinks and appetizers like we did. Plus they treat you like family with complimentary focaccia to start that is incredible and house made limoncello to end the meal. Can’t wait to go back. A bonus is if you’re going for a Broadway Sacramento show and show your tickets for the night they give you 10% off! The photo of the Caesar looks small but we had already dug in!
We made our reservation through the Resy app, and my husband noted it was my birthday in the booking. We arrived right when the restaurant opened, and the hostess greeted us warmly and showed us to our table. Our server promptly brought water and explained the day’s menu. We ordered the spaghetti bolognese, mushroom risotto, caprese classic, and four seasons pizza. Everything was delicious and satisfying—the pizza had a thin, crispy crust with fresh toppings, while the risotto and pasta were both flavorful. The house bread was served warm and fresh, and dipping it into the olive oil was a treat. For my birthday, they kindly served me a complimentary soda. After our meal, they surprised me with a gelato topped with a candle and even took a Polaroid photo of us, which they gifted to us right away. Such a thoughtful touch that made the evening extra special! Parking is available on the street and in nearby public lots. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with excellent food and warm hospitality. Definitely a place we’d love to come back to.
WOW! Ok we have been here many times but tonight it was of the charts. Service was great! The ambiance is always amazing - I do feel like I’m in a New York restaurant. Our food tonight was so full of flavor I over ate! I couldn’t stop!!! We had the pappardelle seafood pasta was incredible, the pasta is clearly homemade and seafood and cream sauce fantastic. We also got the Caesar salad which was delicious and the manhattan marghereta pizza add mushrooms and it was the best pizza I’ve had in forever! Top it off with an espresso martini with a refill side and lemoncello end it was the perfect dinner. Can’t wait to come back! I was so in the moment I didn’t get photos of everything we had
We really wanted to try Pazza Notte but due to our schedules we almost never can plan a reservation. We had just finished shopping at the Saturday Midtown Farmers Market when we realized we might be able to get an outdoor table the moment they opened at 11:30. Their outdoor area is fantastic (but I would definitely recommend bringing a hat if you’re dining around noon.) We loved the Burrata Calabrian Style with sundried tomato and chili chutney. Excellent Caesar salad, great Sangiovese, the best spaghetti Bolognese my husband has ever had, and the Four Seasons pizza was amazing. Fantastic service - friendly and attentive.
OH MY GOODNESS THIS PLACE IS GOOD! Randomly decided to try this place to meet with friends and catch up over dinner and I’m so glad we did. We had an early dinner around 4 and although it wasn’t too busy it quickly filled up! We ordered several martinis including the hipster, the thinker, and La dolce vita. All of them were amazing! I love that they serve you your drink and the shaker with a second pour in it so it stays cold and so you can share cocktails if you want (or drink it all like I did). We ordered the truffle fries, seafood pasta, pizza, and a spicy pasta in red sauce. All of the food was amazing! It was really fresh with good quality ingredients and everything was cooked and seasoned well! Although it was very busy we never really felt like we were waiting a long time and the wait staff accommodated a toddler switching us to another table with more room which was really nice. Overall I’m excited to go back and try more food. I definitely recommend booking a reservation in advance!
We loved this restaurant! Amazing customer service, light, uplifting setting during the day time. Good selection of food, we got cajun fries and they were really good. I customized my pasta and added mushrooms instead of meat (vegetarian friendly) and customized a drink and they did a great job. They have a fancy little rosemary bread as complimentary app. I loved the clean and vibrant setting. Definitely a must for special holidays or a casual meal during the day.
Great new spot in Midtown! The drinks were killer (shoutout to the espresso martinis!) and well priced, the food was good (not great, but they are still new so I’m sure it’s uphill from here). Service was great too! We loved the atmosphere and quickly decided we would be back. My small critiques were the ceiling tiles - they seemed out of place and/or dirty/needing adjustment. Pastas and fries were missing that wow factor and we felt needed some additional seasoning/attention. Loved the beet/goat cheese salad. Still need to try the pizzas but they look great. I want to be clear about any critique - it was still all very good!
Pazza Notte offers a delightful dining experience from the bar. I indulged in their pasta, which was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The sauce was rich and complemented the dish wonderfully. Paired with a refreshing French 75, the cocktail was elegantly crafted, balancing the citrus and gin beautifully. The atmosphere at the bar was lively, with attentive staff adding to the charm. The combination of delicious food and great drinks makes Pazza Notte a must-visit for a casual yet satisfying meal. Recommended! Only complaint is I was charged regularly price for Happy Hour drinks, but I wasn't in the mood to address it.
Let me start off by saying the staff here are extremely friendly and the service is top notch. The atmosphere is great and the food was fantastic. All the ingredients were fresh and extremely flavorful. I never wanted to give a restaurant a 5 star so bad but unfortunately per the ownerships policy they don't let you make any changes to your order and that's the only reason they're getting a 4-star instead of a 5 star. Note to ownership if I come back and that policy has been changed, I will change this to a 5 star review.
We were seated quickly and outdoor seating was comfortable with the heaters and blankets. The food was excellent and everything we ordered tasted great. Unfortunately the service was lacking. We did not receive bread like the other tables and once our food arrived we were mostly unattended. We asked for crushed red pepper olive oil and Parmesan but they arrived so late that our food was already cold. I also ordered a cocktail to come with my entrée but it did not arrive until after I had finished eating even after asking for help. The food was great but the slow and inattentive service took away from the overall experience.
I called to make a reservation (Tuesday evening) I was put on hold for 20min and no one came back. I came in shortly after and had a 20min wait. We ordered a calamari appetizer, I was not a fan for the breading/batter as it was grainy and tasteless. I asked for s spicy sauce and specifically requested the spicy chutney which came with a $3 cost for about a tbs of sauce. The corkage fee is $25. The penne vodka was fine, pasta is not made in house. Really quite mediocre and nothing special about this place. I will not be back as the food was nothing impressive, the service needs improvement, and the cost is quite expensive for what was received. Paid over $100 for 2 people.
Atmosphere: We went in on this Monday night to celebrate our anniversary. It was clear the host did not communicate to our server that we were celebrating because no one had even said happy anniversary. Food: Penne Vodka sub Fettuccine add chicken was flavorful but some of my fettuccine was under and crunchy. Perhaps they execute pizza better. Service: Sol was our server. They were wonderful. I believe had they known it was our anniversary, they would have said something at the very least.
1.5 stars rounded up. They get one star for ambiance & 1/2 a star for good appetizers (on the rare chance they bring them out fresh). this is easily my least favorite restaurant in Sacramento. I’ve been here twice (once as a party of two and once as a party of four), and both times were the same disappointing experience. I have no idea where others are getting this “top notch” service from. Certainly can’t be here. The service is awful & extremely slow. The staff has no real attentiveness or care for good service, & you have to flag them down for everything. They never ask if you’re celebrating anything, if you’re ready to order, or honestly anything at all. We felt silly and ridiculous having to raise our hands just to get any type of attention. We even had to walk up to the sever stand to grab salt and pepper (which the manager gladly let us take instead of offering to bring it to us, and we had to inform her we would like cheese which should have been brought out with our food.) The cocktails are way too overpowering with zero balance, and the food doesn’t make up for it either. (They also charged us for refills on Sprite, which is wild.) The pizza is horrendous, the pasta is lackluster, and while the appetizers can be good when they come out fresh, that’s not likely to happen. My food came out soft and barely warm, like they’d been sitting there for a while. (Both for apps + entrees). *There was also signs of pasta mixing. I honestly don’t understand why they choose to be so awful, but it’s definitely a choice. The ambiance is nice, but that’s where the positives end. Between the bland food, bad drinks, and inattentive service, I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Well this isn’t going to be nice but maybe you will listen to a loyal customer. My FAV dish, is the Salmon Del Nonna and it was perfection. I came in every few months for it. Last weekend for my bday celebration I brought a friend so they could specifically try this dish I rave about. I was informed while I was waiting that they changed the dish slightly because the chef thought it was too much work to make mashed potatoes…ok. This is fine dining, u don’t lower ur standards because of effort. They went from a flavorful mashed potato which complimented the Salmon and veggies perfectly to a boring and flavorless roasted potato. I still decided to dine and try it anyway and it was horribly disappointing. Both our Salmons had black grill marks making it taste burnt and the potatoes were bland even with the sauce. I did not end up finishing it, and usually I eat the whole thing. I suggest if you’re going to call a dish, “my grandmother’s salmon”, that you stick to grandma’s recipe. She knows best. *The photos below are what the salmon usually look like with the mashed potatoes vs what they’re serving now.
Went with my daughter for a nice meal out. We sat there for 20mins and no one came to take our order. Everyone else around us were served and taken care of. Hate to say it’s because of our skin color but it sure felt so. Not even water. It’s a shame that my 6yr old had to experience that. **** Update I did speak to the manager Oscar, he apologized and invited us back to make up for what happened. Truly appreciate the gesture and that they recognized what happened. Horrible feeling and even worse that I have to try to explain it to my daughter.
i was super excited to try this restaurant and finally had the opportunity to do so on monday 12/22 around 7 pm. i ordered the fettuccine pesto fresco. the three words i word use to describe the pasta are dull, bland, and tasteless. additionally, the service here was atrocious. we had a waiter who took more than 20 minutes to come back to take our order and looked absolutely miserable every time he came back to our table (for identifying purposes he was a younger, aa, male). by far some of the worst service i’ve ever experienced. additionally, it so incredibly uncomfortable to have your waiter stand there while you type in the tip amount. i really wish i could have recommended this place, but the only slightly redeeming factor they have is the delightful ambiance. such a beautiful outdoor area. if visiting sacramento, this place is not worth your while! side note i forgot to mention: in direct contrast to every other food item i tried here, the truffle fries were delicious!
