Brooklyn Pizza Crew Brooklyn Reviews
Super friendly and so good! We celebrated an impromptu birthday party there and and everyone was so helpful! The pizza was amazing as per usual. Love BPC
Good pizza, must keep in the area. It's the only pizza restaurant in my neighborhood. The pizza is good , great taste.
This is a great place to enjoy awesome food with family and friends. Their service is really top-notch and their staff are obviously well-trained! I highly recommend this restaurant! Brooklyn Pizza Crew - 5 stars:)
Today was my first time going, I ordered the pepperoni slice and a garlic knot, both were amazing!! we enjoyed the music, loved how nice the workers were and how quick we were able to sit and eat, highly recommend!
One of our favorite pizza places in Brooklyn, amazing Grandma and Tartufo, as well as Cup and Char pepperoni and vegan pepperoni. Heads up to order through Seamless or another app aside from Uber Eats though, who delivered to us a stone cold pizza last night and tried to blame the shop. Nope
My family and I ordered pizza from here for game night and it was reallyyyyyyyy good! Definitely one of the best pepperoni grandma pies I ever had and don't forget to order the apple gorgonzola salad - you won't regret it!!
Been looking for a solid pizza spot for delivery that doesn’t serve up those tiny gourmet pizzas or charge you $50 for specialty pies. This place is pretty damn good. Not your corner pizza spot that tastes like they made it in Ohio✨ Keep it up!!! 🤌🏽
Best pizza we've had while vacationing in NYC! The kids loved it as well. The workers were extremely friendly and accommodating. My favorite was the Sophia Loren. Awesome place!!!!
Great place. Real NYC style pizza shop. You want to go here and experience the Pie. The pizza has the best sauce and they are overly friendly people. I thought it would be a rude experience but I was definitely wrong. Great Food Great People Great Area. Thank you again!
Tartufo was the best slice I had all trip, we got a quick assortment for great price along with some knots. Definitely looking forward to trying more next time I visit NYC!
Best pizza I've had in a long time. The ingredients are above par. The atmosphere is homely and the service is excellent! I definitely recommend the vegan pizza.
Best pizza I ever had (margharita) The vegan pizza was also amazing. Owner was nice and welcoming.
Very relaxed atmosphere and great affordable pizza. We enjoyed after the Children’s Museum and loved it.
Absolutely great customer service Pizza was so good and tasty we bought a pie to go home best pizza I ate in years Eric and Brady was the bedt
Their pizza is delicious. I think I found one of the best pizza places in Brooklyn. I got a Brooklyn pie (thin cheese pizza). The sauce on the pizza was well balanced the salt just right and not sour. The pizza was thin but not too thin. It was perfect. I would definitely recommend this place whether your in Brooklyn or not it's worth the travel for great pizza.
Best pizza in all of New York City. Not even a question. Must visit pizzeria!! The best pies are the Grandma and Tartufo pies are to die for! The plain cheese and pepperoni are crowd pleasers as well! The garlic knots are nearly a meal unto themselves. The value, quality and taste for the money is incomparable. The staff are fast and efficient, friendly. The restaurant could literally not do anything better. Six Stars ☆☆☆☆☆☆ Six Stars! You should eat this pizza every day, all day! Thank You!
This by far has to be the best pizza I have had in years. Living in Florida, is hard to find a nice crispy pizza bottom. The young lady at the cashier was such a delight! She made us feel super special. Thanks! 😊
Pizza was decent for Ny style. I forgot to take a pic. Not too greasy. Staff was welcoming and wasn't too crowded for the dinner rush time.. small spot to sit and eat. Chocolate chip cookies were good too, soft and moist.
This pizza place serves the best pizza in the world and the people are really kind. Would definitely recommend.
It may look like a mediocre pizza place run by Johnny come latelys, but this place is the real deal. Grandma slices are hefty and packed with flavor and the regular slices are simple and delectable. The Sophia Lauren and the cup and char are particularly great.
This was the BEST Pizza I ever had! Hands down worth the extra .50 or .60 cents per slice. Crispy crust, tasty sauce, zesty and plentiful cheese. Get the cup and char slice. You won't be sorry!😋😍 No photos because I couldn't wait to eat it!!
Great little pizza place that is perfect for just grabbing a slice to eat when I don't want to cook. The slices are large and cheap! I would definitely recommend the Sophia Loren and a garlic knot
The pepperoni knots and the meatball hero is sooo good
The pizza was delicious. The crust was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce wasn’t too heavy and just the right amount of cheese. Definitely a great place for a quick bite. Plus, they accept card.
The gluten free margarita pizza is AMAZING!!! I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t taste like it was gluten free AT ALL. I shared it with people who agreed it was delicious before I told them it was gluten free. I’m afraid for my waistline now that I’ve found this place. Outstanding pizza.
*Update: After being contacted by their customer service team and their awesome rep Andrea, I’m happy to say ‘BPC’ is still the best slice in town and will continue to be my go to for pizza! Original Review: This is usually my go to when craving a slice, however, the last few times I ordered whole pies they were over cooked and almost on the verge of being entirely burnt. My most recent order was practically inedible. Sad to say but I won’t be going here as often.
I always receive great service from the staff. I really like the design of the place(Brooklyn sign on the wall). I Always buy The Sophia Loren or the pepperoni slices with a chocolate cookie or two. Hands down best tasting pizza and a great selection of pizzas that you won't find any where else.
I love pizza- and it’s awesome to have a spot that offers vegan cheese and meat. My partner is lactose intolerant tolerant and just needs vegan cheese but still eats meat. Most spots are either full vegan or non vegan. But this spot is reliable and really tasty! It’s a real gift to have this option in the neighborhood, especially for pizza. Almost every party/ gathering that orders pizza usually orders from here’s
The food is always 10/10. Their pizza is one of Brooklyn's best.
Always excellent when the rock & roll guy is running the oven. Otherwise can be inconsistent. I think maybe the oven needs to run hotter. Give that guy a raise and keep him happy.
The pizza here is so fire. And this box can endure anything: I walked here to pick up and as I’m in the store it begins to rain. HARD. Torrential downpour. I walk home anyway about 15 minutes in the pouring rain with no protection for the pizza box; when I get home the box is soaked the pizza is in tact, still warm and crispy. Just a testament to the durability. The cup n char grandma pizza is the best pizza in New York in my opinion.
The pizza was so good I've came here a lot of times now. If you want an option to get a Boyland or Mexican Coke.. They have it! Tey also have a bottle opener with them if you stay there. Definitely recommend if you want a big slice of pizza on the go or to stay. 5 STARS
Due to unfortunate health reasons, if i want to live I had to cut out my favorite food of all time.. Pizza :( …after taking hours out of my day to try to recreate it at home for the past few years (having done pretty well.) But not always having the time, I started a search for a place that could do this for me. So happy to say Brooklyn Pizza Crew has delivered! Offering gluten free and dairy free pizza options has given me back the little joys in life. Although I have to pay a bit more than average it was worth it. Today I had an Amazing gluten free, vegan cheese pepperoni and sausage pie delivered and it gave me “normal pizzeria vibes” thanks for providing options for those who wish they could have the real thing!!! My new go to pizza spot when I want a quick bite! If the gluten free dairy free is this good I can only imagine how great the regular stuff is! Curious is the crust made in house?
If you’re looking for the sweetest slice of Pizza Pie in all of Brooklyn. Look no Further!! Hit this joint on a whim with my 5 year old and we left in our sauce stained white tees, smiling doing the pizza dance From the flavorful high quality ingredients, to the friendly supportive staff to the variety of music boppin the best beats. This local chain literally doesn’t miss! DOUGH-REAL It’s that FRESH!
I used to get my orders to go but their pizza is very close to old school taste, that Italian worldly flavor. They do a good job.
This just might be the best vegan pizza I've had. Highly recommend and I'll definitely order from here again.
Brooklyn Pizza comes very close to the authentic taste of Italian pizza that I grew up with in East Flatbush. When you can go get fresh bagels you have to stand online because they were making them fresh right out the store serving them to you and a brown paper bag. And the smell from the pizza shop making authentic pizza sauce.Good memories.
Just randomly stopped by and got a grandma slice with pep (cup and char?). It was very good, great crust, and I could taste the olive oil in it which is great. Good t sauce and quality pep too. I recommend
They say New York pizza is the best — and I’ve gotta say, it’s TRUE. This place did not disappoint! The crust was perfect, the sauce tasted fresh, and the toppings were ON POINT. You can tell they care about quality. Definitely one of the best slices I’ve had in NYC!
I tried Brooklyn Pizza Crew for the first time today after my mom had it a few weeks ago. I ordered the Bianco slice with mozzarella, ricotta and Parmesan. The slide was really good and I’d recommend it for anyone wanting to try a non-traditional slide. Only improvement is the ricotta could have been a bit seasoned, other than that it complemented the slice well. I would recommend and would definitely go back to try their other slices! 9.5/10
Enjoyed the pizza, thin crust, no flop, crisp pepperonis. Didn’t like the kale salad Meatballs we’re also delicious and come with plenty of sauce and cheese Garlic knots ok, but seemed like my batch were either over done, or had been sitting for a while or something. Didn’t have the normal garlicky buttery exterior or look much like the picture. Would definitely come by for slices and/or order pizza from here again and try some other pies
At this point, I'm here at least 3 times a month. It feels funny when I walk in, and they know my order and confirm it. I'm currently stuck on the slice with pepperoni & garlic knot & side of marinara sauce. The pizza is hot in a few minutes, and the crust is perfect, nice & crunchy. Love the vibe. The music and the staff are cool. It looks like a great place to work for. Everyone is always busy, but they don't look annoyed or stressed. If I'm remotely in the area, I'm passing by to get some pizza. Next month I'll try a different type of pizza... maybe.
Cup and Char Grandma pizza is unlike any other. With each bite, you and your guests will be saying "OMG this is so good!" The pepperoni is the best you'll ever taste. I'm so glad I live so close! We just reheated for lunch (use the fry and steam method) and we could eat this day-in and day-out. Luckily we have tons of slices left. I'f hard to eat more than a 3"x5" slice as the pizza is dense. And the crispy bottom crust is amazing. Also to note, we ordered a house salad which was also one of the crispiest, delicious salads we've ever eaten.
Nice fresh pizza in a convenient location. If I worked in this hospital i would be so fat. Ordering was easy and came quickly. I had a 10 inch pizza for lunch and it was perfect.
The pizza was great the first time I tried it but now it’s lacking sauce and cheese to be honest. The crust is still quite crunchy however, so I guess it’s still worth the price.
I got a Margherita Pie. The pizza was good, the sauce was tasty, but (1) the crust wasn't so crispy, (2) the mozzarella didn't taste like great quality cheese, and (3) the basil game left much to be desired. All in all, the pizza was _good_, don't get me wrong, but, if someone is in the neighborhood, I would highly recommend they instead go to Joe & Sal's Pizzeria on Franklin (between Union and President) for better-tasting (yet cheaper!) pizza.
The margarita pizza is really good. The crust was a bit too hard /burnt for me though. So 4 stars.
Fairly decent pizza, although not the best character of NYC pizza. Crust is fairly thin, but doesn't get a good crisp. If you order by the slice, you'll find that a lot of the pizzas have been sitting out a while and are a bit soggy. The flavors and ingredients are good, but it's just not "special".
Great food and service but one small gripe. They utilize a cool members reward app called FRESH that with every purchase gives you a spin of a prize wheel for great coupons like $10 off, a free pizza, %20 off. The more loyal and hooked you are - and continue to use, the app’s “random” prize wheel gives smaller (free slice) and smaller (free drink) and now the smallest and repeated prize (one puzzle piece that when combined with three others = 1 slice) While I like their pizza, I feel like I’ve fallen for a psychological study and somewhere this data is proving how manipulative they can be. I’d actually prefer a consistent members reward or one that increases in benefits for repeat customers. Anyone else use this app and experience?
The pizza is amazing but they refuse to seal the pizza box for deliveries. The delivery person can literally eat the pepperonis off of your pizza and you'd be none the wiser.
The best NY style pizza in this neighborhood. For your weeknight, slightly greasy, totally satisfying pie. I’ve ordered both the round, and grandma style pies from them and both were delicious. Salads are also pretty good! Love this place!
Great customer service! I had 2 slices of Vegan pepperoni pizza. $5 each slice. The pizza was OK. Dining tables and it was nice and quiet. It would help to have a bigger sign. To locate the restaurant.
Layout/atmosphere *Two picnic tables Food/drink *The Bianco (Fresh mozzarella, ricotta, parsley and parmigiano reggiano) - very good; ricotta creamy; slice overall little greasy *The Grandma (Basil, parmigiano reggiano, olive oil, fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce; square slice) - Good; thin crust
the pizza is fine. if you come late at night they probably are serving older pizza so be careful.., the cookies however are good and tasty
This is the second time I’ve paid for extra things in my salad and gotten the salad without them. It’s obviously not the end of the world but it’s just frustrating to pay for things because you want them, then not get it. The first time I ordered in person, left with the food and by the time I got home I was too far to go back. This time I got delivery and I tried calling literally 8 times, and they will not answer the phone. The pizza is good so it’s unfortunate that you have to deal with annoyances like giving away money and not being able to contact anyone. I was willing to just email them my frustration but they don’t even give you that option so this is it
I was so looking forward to pizza. It arrived and was swimming with sauce, not cut all the way through and had VERY LITTLE cheese. I hate when a food restaurant is so inconsistent. Not sure I’ll give them another shot. Why can’t you have a set ratio and technique???
I want to love Brooklyn Pizza Crew more than I do. Often I feel there's just something about it that isn't on par with other pizza places. Maybe it's me, often going close to closing (they close oddly early for a pizza place), maybe it's unfair to say the pizza just often doesn't taste fresh. I will say that tonight I had a Grandma slice that blew my socks off, far better than the dozen or so grandma slices I've had from here in the years since they opened. What can I say? It's the local pizza spot.
Aw man… good marg slice, but like that other person commented below, the bacon on the apple bacon slice was raw. The bacon should’ve been cooked before it went into the oven.
We have been ordering from here for the past 4yrs but unfortunately the quality has gone down drastically the last few months. We called in about a few terrible deliveries, but last nights burnt pizza delivery was the last straw. Really hope they can stop delivering burnt pizza and go back to their original quality.
I really love their pizza, but when I call in to order and they put me on hold for looooong periods of time I get a little irritated. Ended up ordering from somewhere else after eight minutes on hold with no indication of when I’d be able to talk to someone. Edit: Really bummed. I gave them another try for delivery. I ordered a Brooklyn pizza with smoked mozzarella and a coke. When it was delivered, I got a pizza without smoked mozzarella and no coke (although I was charged for both). They really need to improve their attention to detail.
Pizza is fine but NEVER order delivery. Twice I've ordered and been told deliver time is one hour which I agreed to. Both times it was over one hour and 45 mins. This time TWO hours. And they didn't offer to refund any of the over priced pizza. We called and they said the driver left the store, but 29 mins later the driver arrives and says oh I just left the store which is 5 blocks from us, so obviously the phone person lied. Try the pizza place on Kingston. Much faster and local.
At first the pizza was good then in our 2nd time of ordering a grandma pizza I literally pulled out a hair from my mouth. We called the placed immediately. It's our local spot so we must wanted a sorry. My GF and I didnt care about half off or a free pizza just an apology. Instead they denied it was them. Now we found another main spot on Franklin area. Farewell guys ......
I don’t understand why the pizza toppings are on top of the cheese. It’s almost like the pizza is already made and they just throw them on there. My pizza arrived cold. But who knows if that’s the stores fault or Uber Eats.
pizza is good, but crew using hands to top the pizza(w/ no gloves) then handling cash(same person, no gloves) isn’t. I almost wanted to cancel my order. Also, I asked for a slice of the fresh pie just put out rather than the two sitting there. I was told no by the lgbt woman. I am a regular customer. So, I was surprised. They used to burn all the pizzas. Finally, that problem was fixed. Pizza is better now. This place finally got a manager some months ago(maybe a year), but they need to be more hands on. Also, shout out to the black girl that is always so pleasant! Also, shout out to the dark skinned talkative guy that’s always there! Love yall!
So Nasty and So Rude: As a service industry worker, I completely understand the stress and chaos of working in a restaurant. However, that is not an excuse for poor customer service at the expense of a concerned customer. I have ordered from Brooklyn pizza crew a few times now and I can PROMISE you, I will not be returning after this experience. Last night I ordered a pepperoni pizza to share with my roommate, however only a mere few hours after eating the pizza, we both started experiencing extreme stomach pain, nausea, and other GI issues. When I called to let this location know what happened and that there might be something wrong, not only did the man who answered the phone give me extreme attitude, but he was condescending in tone as well. He practically accused me of lying and said I was "the only person who has called to mention any problems", but I would like to note it has been less than 24 hours since I ordered the pizza and started feeling sick. I'm sure most people who are experiencing food poisoning are more concerned with HEALING within the first 24 hours of experiencing symptoms, before notifying a restaurant they feel they might've gotten sick from their food. I am usually not one to leave reviews (as I have NEVER left a review before) because I work in this industry and I get it, you can't control what happens with someone's dining experience, however you can control how you respond to a situation. I almost considered going to urgent care for this, that's how terrible I feel. And the worst part, the pizza was so good, but out of pure stubbornness, I refuse to return to an establishment where I feel disrespected in regards to my HEALTH and WELLBEING. To the gentlemen on the phone: thanks for nothing.
I used to like Brooklyn Pizza Crew on Nostrand ave, but they’ve fallen off hard. The pizza now is bland and disappointing. The place is typically a mess crumbs on tables, not clean at all. It’s not that Italian magic anymore and the quality has dropped significantly. The only saving grace is the mural by Meres One, which still looks great. But sadly, the pizza isn’t cutting it anymore.
update: still eat slices from here all the time but i’m reluctant to trust management to follow through on the offer they put in the comment on my review. that being said i think imma drop the stars because it’s a very dishonest practice to communicate with someone but not follow through. they even went as far as deleting the comment. really solid pizza spot. the dough is delicious but was kinda underwhelmed by the undercarriage of the pizza completely lacking color everywhere but the crust, but the sauce and cheese ratio was proper and it had good garlic and basil profile. the salad was pretty delicious and i liked the pitted black olives. kinda wish they just toss the pizza without a pan back in the oven for a hot second to complete the delicious crust profile at the base.
Really thought this place was the best. We’ve had so many wonderful pies, but last two experiences have been horrible. So sad that they over promise (55 mins) and underdeliver (2hrs, 15min). We sent the first pizza back because it was like a flat cold brick, only to get a “new” one that looked just like the original except slightly warmer. Ya gotta do better than that around here. Would rather have you say you can’t do it and be disappointed that we don’t get the good stuff, then get what we got. Really want to love this place but think this is the last time for us.
The staff was nice but the gluten free pizza was deplorable. I know that it could never taste like the real deal but this was honestly the worst that I've had. $23 down the drain. I could've used that for a chance to win the lotto. The jackpot is up to a billy.
I used to love the food here, despite often having to wait awhile for delivery, but after my experience tonight, I'm done even trying. We never even got our pizza... all we got were LIES! After 1.5 hours of waiting, we called to check on our pizza, and said the guy had come and no one answered the phone when he arrived- we had no missed calls, but fine, it happens. He double checked my number and sent the delivery again, this time we were watching for him, heard him arrive, and ran out to meet him, but he had left by the time we got down the stairs to the door. Called again and said that the delivery guy tried to call us and left, but again we never received a call, and he didn't even stay long enough to wait for us to reach the bottom of the stairs after seeing him arrive! He's blaming me because he re-read his number back to me, and yes it was correct, but that doesn't explain why this guy still couldn't wait a second for me to run down the stairs to greet him before hurrying away angry, or maybe call back his HQ, or ring every doorbell in the building, I don't know. You'd think he'd want to try harder after making a second trip out here, knowing that we're here expecting it. At this point, it's 2 hours after our order and this guy is trying to tell me no he can't help me any more and they're closed and we're not getting this pizza. Then he says the driver is calling and hangs up on me. I give him a few, and then try and call back, and ten minutes and several tries later I finally get through and he says the guy is on his way and I'm like good I'll watching out the window for him. He cut me off with "yeah ok" and hung up before I could even finish my sentence. Needless to say, this story ends with us PIZZA-LESS, starving, furious... and ordering tacos from Chinantla.
Bad pizza really. Avoid this place. Terrible service as well.
I ordered a pizza through Slice that cost me $44. It was the apple bacon pizza with truffle oil added. The pizza came and it was soaking in truffle oil. Instead of a nice respectable drizzle like it should have. Even worse though was the fact the bacon on it was raw in certain places. They clearly put raw bacon on top before putting it in the oven thinking it would cook through. That's not the case. I'm never ordering from here again. It's way over priced for poor quality. My family and I each had a slice, the rest is going in the trash. Not even the rats here will eat this pizza.
We order pizza here at least once a week- the last three weeks have pretty bad- a burnt pie, an over sauced pie with virtually no cheese and now a pie that's stale. The first two occasions we informed the staff of the issues and all we got was- Sorry. We will no longer be ordering from Brooklyn pizza crew. This location used to have great customer service but we can no longer rely on food quality or customer service. Please check your order before you leave the store.
Wild to me that they’d be focused on opening new restaurants instead of focusing on getting a consistently edible product coming out of this one. When it’s good it’s great, but when it’s bad, it’s REALLY bad and they don’t apologize. I reached out personally and gave them months to reply, so here’s your bad review you earned. I was a frequent repeat customer with maybe 60-80 orders from this spot, and they lost me permanently because there are so many other quality pizza establishments that will stand behind their product here.
Really disappointing. We have ordered the gluten free Grandma Pie time and time again, now they increased the price and give 1/3 less of a pizza. $8 per slice now. Ridiculous. If you give less food, you need to LOWER the price.
