Evelina is a terrific dining experience. Cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and service are all top notch. I can personally recommend the following although our whole group were happy with their choices. The Viola is a great tequila-based cocktail that was very well balanced and a bit spicy from the ginger. The Pinsa Bianca and Hamachi Ceviche were both great but I'd give the edge to the Pinsa, it was really tasty. Finally, I can't find enough superlatives to describe the Tonarelli Cacio e Pepe with shaved truffle, it's frickin' delicious!! Probably the best one I've had outside of Rome. I enjoyed it with a glass of Nebbiolo Langhe which was also delicious and paired well. Our server was very friendly and perfectly attentive. We'd definitely return to explore the menu further.

Found by accident and what a lovely accident it was. Wonderful food. Wonderful service. Amazing authentic Italian food. Pricey, but worth it. And the little ice cream/Gelato cart outside is such a nice addition to the other desserts they have. Nice outdoor seating as well. The sidewall can be narrow in some seating arrangements but the restaurant has lots of seating inside

They hosted my team for a company lunch and everything was divine. From incredibly fast, attentive & efficient service from our server Evan, to mouth watering drinks from our bartender Allie & our host Sarah who made sure we had everything we needed. We definitely recommend Evelina for a company lunch, solo date or group outing! Try the oxtail Ragu and the Ravioli - to die for!

This is such a delightful little slice of heaven on one of the cutest blocks in Fort Greene Brooklyn. If you are lucky, snag a table out front on a nice sunny day and enjoy the delicious menu of food and drinks recently visited while taking a day off for my birthday and really enjoyed the artichoke salad and Evelina spritz. Great prices great service and beautiful atmosphere. It feels like I’m enjoying a leisurely meal in Europe, but still within the city.

@lydieats 💕 Once again, Brooklyn restaurants has the best vibes 🥰 We walked in for a quick lunch before preparing our Thanksgiving feast. Super cute space with an exciting menu. Dishes feel super light and fresh with plenty of flavor. Outdoor space is heated!! Loved the polenta topped with poached egg and truffles. The subtle flavors of the fontina cheese and mushrooms combined together with the grain in a creamy wonderful way 💯 Pansotti was filled with veal and pancetta, giving it a nice savory flavor. Great with the artichokes!

The Charred Octopus, Ceviche and Saffron Malloreddus at this restaurant in Fort Greene were culinary masterpieces. The restaurant is small and intimate, and the service was excellent. If you are looking for a truly memorable dining experience, this is the place for you. The Hamachi and Shrimp Ceviche was exquisite, with a perfect blend of avocado, jalapenos, leche de tigre, heirloom peppers and pane Carasau. The Charred Octopus was cooked for hours until it is incredibly tender and flavorful and is a must-try for any seafood lover. It is the perfect combination of tender octopus, ajo blanco, grape vinaigrette, pine nuts and lemon confit. The Saffron Malloreddus pasta is made fresh daily in the restaurant, perfectly cooked al dente with heirloom zucchini, crab meat, basil, sea urchin and was garnished with fresh parsley and lemon zest. Overall, this is a truly special dish that is sure to impress even the most discerning food connoisseur.

I absolutely love this place! The food is incredibly delicious! My favorites include the steak and the heirloom tomato salad. Also, on their dinner menu, they offer short rib appetizers which taste amazing! Additionally, they serve a wonderful non-alcoholic Negroni that isn't too sweet, which is perfect!

We went here for brunch. The gazpacho is creamy and refreshing. The squid ink pasta is cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce is very good. The eggs benedict were perfectly cooked, the tomatoes and prosciutto make it so flavorful and the burrata adds a lot of creaminess. I did not notice a truffle flavor in the hollandaise sauce. The side fries and pork sausage were delicious. The Bloody Mary was spicy and savory. The waffles with duck were disappointing. Would definitely recommend and return again

We hosted a post-wedding lunch here and had a fantastic time! Azzurra coordinated everything so the experience was super easy. Food and service were 10/10!

Great place for brunch. Service and food is amazing. Oxtail Ragu was a personal fave as well as the lemon scone. Not to miss!

C

We ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the multigrain toast with avocado and smoked salmon off the brunch menu, delicious. The only negative (which a lot of italian restaurants do) is that the salad was drenched in olive oil. Staff was kind and friendly. Fair prices. Highly recommend!

I went Evelina to celebrate birthday with my family. I didn’t have a reservation so waited for 50 minutes to get a table outside. The dishes are fantastic and I would definitely come back again to try more dishes. I got Seafood linguine and roasted whole fish(came with side dish fries), both are great! Service is above average.

We had Ramona as a server, and she was great! First, the atmosphere was inviting, intimate and relaxing. Decor had a vibe loved it. Favorite mussels and Negroni. Will be back soon.

The atmosphere, the service, the food…10/10! Always. We had the mussels, fried zucchini blossoms, Pappardelle, and the Burrata Ravioli! Delicious!

It’s been our favorite Italian restaurant for a while. I moved to the city but still come all the way down there just for this place. My all time fav are Pinsa Bianca which is whipped ricotta, tuna tar tar, cacio e peppe with truffles and buratta ravioli. Tiramisu is just another lever!!! Also the service is always very friendly and attentive. Today Anna was serving us. Thank you for the hospitality and amazing food♥️

This was originally our back-up plan for Miss Ada two blocks down since it had a wait, but so glad we came here instead! For our party of five, we got the following: - Burrata Ravioli - 2x Prosciutto Di Parma Eggs Benedict - Multigrain Toast - Spicy Eggs in Purgatory I quite loved the Burrata Ravioli. It was just the right amount of flavor and ricotta cheese to not make it too heavy. The mushroom also helped to balance it out. This was the first time I’ve had ravioli without a filling inside and also not with tomato sauce so it was def a surprise dish. The rectangular shape as opposed to the usual square was also a bit of a shocker. I would say that while the plate was big, the portion size was actually quite small. I didn’t feel entirely full after having it. My friends got the Prosciutto Di Parma Eggs Benedict, which I got a try of and loved the crunch of the brioche on the bottom. It was made perfectly and made the dish that much better. The Multigrain Toast was rather basic and as it’s named so would recommend you getting other things instead. The Spicy Eggs in Purgatory were interesting as they came with lamb merguez, which is a type of sausage. I’m not a big fan of lamb and while the flavor wasn’t too strong, I could still taste it so wouldn’t opt for it for my own dish. We got there around 1:30pm so it was still the brunch menu and lunch items were unfortunately unavailable. We wanted to try the Pappardelle here, but that was on the lunch menu only. Guess that means I’ll be back another time to try that and other items! One thing I noticed that took off from our experience a bit was that the servers were very hard to flag down. Whether it was when we wanted to order, get more water or get the check, it took a long time to finally get their attention even when they were right by our table. They were still very kind though, but would’ve preferred more attentiveness. When we got the check, they gave us a postcard for their restaurant that had a unique design and very soft feel. As a big postcard collector, I was surprised at the texture since it’s very rare for a postcard to feel this soft. We ended up asking for a few other copies as my friends wanted one too. Would def recommend this place for anyone looking for some good Italian food.

A nice gem in Brooklyn. We came spontaneously and were seated without a wait time :) the place was still really busy. Staff was friendly and helpful with the selection and our vegan friends were not disappointed. The food was incredibly good and the evening was rounded up with beers and delicious Tiramisu. We can definitely recommend and will come back next time we visit New York 🍝

We recently moved to the neighborhood and have stopped by for an after dinner ice cream from the outdoor ice cream stand a couple of times and have wanted to try the restaurant. We went for brunch on a Sunday and it was top notch. The decor and atmosphere were great, as was the service, and the food was off the charts. Try the lemon scone!!! We were also treated to great music that was just our jam. Our server was amazing - yes, this is worth mentioning twice ;-) This is going to become a fast favorite and go-to for us. Can’t wait to try dinner!

My new favorite Brooklyn restaurant. Upscale culinary experience with a cool vibe. Our server Clifton gave us perfect recommendations. The food was outstanding. We tried the octopus and a couple different in house made pastas. Everything was great. Can’t wait to come back. Compliments to the chef.

Evelina was recommended to me by a friend, went with my husband for brunch we walked from Atlantic terminal (about it 15 mins) - food was delicious, drinks were great, service was amazing, the employees made us feel super welcome and looking forward to coming back for dinner soon! Got the Fluke Crudo 10/10 & the Dry Aged Cheeseburger (one of the best I’ve ever had) THANKS EVELINA !!!

Sat outside and enjoyed the mild warm weather, but happy to see their covered spaces actually have ceiling fans for when it's hotter. Food was delightful. We started with the whipped ricotta, which came with a generous portion of fresh bread. It was delicious and filling, we were glad we didn't opt for the second app we were eyeing (will be back to try the octopus). Cocktails were strong and tasty. Our entrees were beautifully plated and just as described. We were too stuffed for real dessert, but shared a small scoop of gelato to go on the way out.

I got the breakfast sandwich and the avocado toast. It was good. For drinks I got the milla tea and the orange juice. I came early so it was only the breakfast menu. Will come back next time for the lunch. It's nice inside and feels cozy. I didn't have to wait for the food too long which is good because I was hungry. The staff were nice.

We had the calamari frito, osso bucco, tagliatele, grilled prawns, grilled octopus, tiramisu, seafood risotto, affogato, choco cake. All the dishea were delicious and well seasoned. Place was packed so make reservations. Service was fast. We will definetely be coming back.

The food here is delicious! We ordered the skid ink spaghetti, octopus, and another pasta dish - all three were very tasty. The cocktails were also a total hit; well balanced and reasonably priced. We were also treated to some tiramisu and it is life changing! If you find yourself here, you must order it. You will thank me later! I have to give a special shout out to Nichole. She was hustling to get drinks done while still providing amazing customer service. She was one of the reasons why we loved this place so much. This place is worth of trying to be a regular here.

Went in for a Saturday brunch. I would recommend prebooking the place. We had to wait for 30 mins. (We checked out a farmers market down the street until we got a call back from them) the food and drinks were amazing. Pancakes and french toast was to die for!

Evelina was the perfect choice for a major celebration. We had a party of six and they seated us at a great corner table near the front windows. We just received our green cards last week, so we wanted somewhere special. The food was exquisite. The service was prompt, professional, and they kept our prosecco flowing! We raised a glass mid-meal to our immigration attorney, Divij Kishore, at Flagship Law. The months of stress and paperwork finally ended thanks to their incredible work, and this dinner was our way of drawing a line under the whole ordeal. It’s a bit pricey, definitely more of a celebration spot than a casual Tuesday night, but the atmosphere and the quality of the meal were absolutely worth the splurge. Highly recommend for any milestone event.

This is one of the best restaurants I visited in 2025. We had pasta and steak and it was the best steak and pasta we had anywhere lately. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, service is very friendly and warm and the food is just outstanding. This is going to be my go to restaurant.

We arranged for our wedding lunch at Evelina. Now, let me tell you: the food was terrific, and there was a lot of it! The portions were huge by NYC standards. This is possibly one of the best Italian restaurants out there. This is definitely a gem of a place. P.S.: I was never a big fan of charred octopus, but I now have to change my mind.

Update - 4/15/23 - returned again and still and amazing place. The staff is extremely attentive and the food as always is superb. Truly a gem!! One of the best restaurants in the Fort Greene neighborhood. Staff is some of the most friendly people in the industry, and the food, OMG, the best. Haven't had one bad dish there. If you get a chance go!!

Went for a friends 30th and had an amazing time! We enjoyed the octopus, the seared duck, the clam spaghetti and king crab raviolis. Food was incredible to say the least! Would recommend the peach ricotta salad. Vax card required.

Amazing food and service. They had setup some charcoal heaters outside and that kept us warm. But it also occasionally threw tiny ash particles. Otherwise it was a good experience. It looked cozy indoors with the dining in opening again.

Absolutely delicious. Decadent, expertly designed and well presented, this has to be one of the best Italian spots I’ve eaten at in NYC. We got the Rosalind and Portia drinks, both excellent cocktails. Ice cold and well balance flavors. For appetizers we had the burrata and zucchini flowers. The burrata was served with figs and mushrooms and it was far and away the best burrata I’ve ever had. The zucchini flowers were fried and stuffed with mozzarella and anchovies, a perfect balance, and almost tasted like the most gourmet mozzarella sticks you could find. We asked for a pasta to match and ended up with the Cacio e Pepe with truffle. Phenomenal. Service was kind and made thoughtful recommendations. There’s a gelato place outside for dessert, highly recommend the chocolate raspberry sorbet!

5/24/21 - Luckily enough I decided to pop into this place early in the day to make a reservation. Luis, the most pleasant barkeeper, jotted down my name and it was done. Wow. The place was hopping by the time we brought our son, daughter-in-law and two little ones to dine. It was the perfect outdoor atmosphere. Bonnie our main server was on top of it and all the other friendly staff waited on us hand and foot. This included Michelle, the hostess, Carmita, Emma and Sandy. Evelina's food is scrumptious! We hope to come enjoy your beautiful restaurant the next time we visit our kids and grandkids in Brooklyn. Thanks so much.

Evelina, located in Fort Greene Brooklyn, is a great choice for a variety of occasions. The menu features a mix of Italian and Mediterranean dishes, with something to please everyone. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch, making it a versatile spot for any meal. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a casual gathering with friends or family, or a more intimate date night.

Went for brunch. The Lobster was too fishy for my taste. Definitely ask for hollandaise on the side. The French toast was soft and the homemade cream was delicious. Best eaten with the strawberries to add more sweetness.

I would recommend absolutely everything on Evelina’s menu - dessert, brunch, diner, drinks. We come to Evelina often; during the pandemic they were life savers for us. Once we were able to, we had gotten take out every other day. Now, we take out of town guests, go for dinner with friends, or just when we are craving comfort. Evelina’s is always consistently incredible food, the setting is gorgeous, and the atmosphere is even better.

OH. MY. GOSH. A friend of a friend mentioned this restaurant when we recently moved to the area and it did not disappoint. Let’s start with the ambiance: it’s Brooklyn babe, there’s good vibes out the waazoo but something about this little corner of heaven entrants you as soon as you walk through the door. We were told it was Italian owned, and I believe it because they make you feel like family. Now the food—my word was it fresher than a spring breeze. And to top it all off they have the best bartenders and servers that attend to your every need. please go.

A neighborhood staple! Been here more than a few times and it’s such a wonderful spot. We love the squash blossoms and always get at least one pasta. The mafaldine is a solid choice and the striped bass was probably our favorite thing that hit the table. Highly recommend 🙌

One of my favorite neighborhood spots! We first came here for brunch on New Years and have been coming back for brunch and dinner! Every pasta dish we had was delicious! Drinks and desserts are also very tasty! They inspired me to start making my own lemon ricotta pancakes (although, mine are not as good!) Also, I feel like a VIP whenever they respond to my text message for a last minute reservation. They have always been able to fit me in!

What an amazing dinner experience in these COVID-19 days! There was a long waiting list on a Saturday evening so we had to wait for about an hour, but it was well worth it! All the food was absolutely delicious, the service was friendly and there was a gas heater next to our table. I was freezing by the end of the evening but otherwise it was a very enjoyable night.

Love Italians food? Venture to Evelina for some delightful dishes! The space is inviting and a bit intimate. Outdoor seating is also an option. Our server, Isabella, was amazing! The place was super busy but she did not miss a beat! Everything dish was cooked to perfection. We had the duck, lobster risotto, ragu parppadelle and of course the calamari. Ended the meal with the creamy tiramisu. Divine!!!

Everything the 3 of us ordered was soooo delicious! Oh yum😋I loved the eggs Benedict and my son got the duck leg with waffles and eggs (he has ordered this dish many times. My husband got the strawberry french toast and shared it with the eggs Benedict. I looked at what other people ordered and I would like to come back and try other dishes here. April 5th we were here and it was just as excellent as last year. We enjoyed every bite and are already counting down to our next brunch here. We live in Michigan and visit our son who comes here frequently when he is in town. The only change I noticed was they took down their wooden outdoor seating for winter compliance

Went for a Friday night dinner and got seated at the bar right away (otherwise 20min for a table). Bartender was amazing. Drinks were delish, esp the Portia with a spicy kick. Food was very good and hubby loved the way the pasta tasted. I could eat a plate of their tiramisu anytime, so fluffy. Definitely coming back to try more dishes.

This is my go to place for Italian in Brooklyn. The interior is so beautiful. It’s cozy and intimate yet enough space making it a great date spot. The pappardelle and the cacio Pepe are my favorites. Service was amazing, I come here all the time definitely would recommend!

N
Nick Ziner

If I could give Evelina more than five stars, I would—preferably in the shape of pasta. The food was phenomenal (like, “I need a moment to process this bite” level phenomenal) and the service was just as amazing. Every dish tasted like it was crafted by someone who genuinely cares about carbs and happiness, and every server treated us like we were long-lost friends who finally made it home for dinner. Between the perfectly cooked pasta, the melt-in-your-mouth entrées, and the “how is this real?” desserts, I’m convinced Evelina might be operating on a higher culinary plane. If you want an Italian meal that makes you briefly consider moving to Italy—or at least becoming a regular—this is the spot. Highly recommend. Bring your appetite. And maybe some self-control… or don’t.

We came in on a really busy night and Gina and Christopher absolutely made our experience. Gina was incredible. So warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Both the service and food were amazing, we can’t wait to come back!

I had an amazing dining experience on my first visit here! My date and I shared the scallops, tartar, and zucchini flowers as appetizers, and each dish was packed with incredible combinations of flavors. For the main course, we tried the halibut and red snapper, both of which were cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable experience.

Best pasta I’ve had in a long time. I had the ravioli and they were 11 out of 10, perfectly cooked al dente. Prices are very reasonable and the service was solid. The whole place feels like a European restaurant. Loved everything about it and definitely recommend.

A++ ! I had come here awhile back while visiting NY before I lived here and loved their dinner plus they have good selection of mocktails ! Today we went from brunch and everything was on point the service the ambiance the waiter and the food . I love this place. Especially on a sunny Sunday afternoon for brunch. It was fun watching fashionable diners of Fort Greene trickle in and out of this airy dining room, ready to devour their brunch plates and cocktails. My lobster scrambled eggs were a bit salty, but I’d let the extra sodium slide. The short ribs with polenta was amazing. Breakout star - I really loved the biscotti that came with the espresso. I wonder if that’s homemade? I was here for dinner before as well. Loved both of my visits.

I came here on a date during the week, and since the weather was nice, we sat outside. We each had the Smoked Grapefruit cocktail; I liked it but my partner thought it was “too syrupy,” so he had them add Aperol to it. But I thought it was great as-is. We shared the Octopus as our starter and it was phenomenal. For my main, I ordered the sea bass with an extra side of fries. The sea bass was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. I was a little disappointed that the fries weren’t hot when they came back, but they were perfectly crispy. My partner ordered the short rib, and trust me, there was nothing “short” about it; that thing was HUGE! I had a glass of the Etna Bianco DOC with my dinner, and I thought it was just OK. I would’ve preferred something dryer. All in all, I think this is a great restaurant; it’s perfect for a date night especially since it’s so close to Fort Greene park (so you can go for a nice stroll after. It is on the pricier side, but it’s not obnoxiously so. I will be back!

I love Evelina: the lunch, the brunch, the dinner. Inside, outside, the bar - whatever. I even fondly remember the to-go cocktails during the pandemic. Service has always been efficient and friendly. The food is out of this world—flavor, texture, and portions are perfect. Our waiter was very attentive and gave us excellent recommendations for both wine and food. The atmosphere is romantic, with beautiful décor. We got the lentil soup, and steak tartare for appetizers and vegetarian lasagna and pappardelle for main

I walked away from this restaurant reminded how much a great meal contributes to a great evening. i have eaten at most of the top restaurants within a mile or so of here and this Evelina ranks among the best. The plates reflect a chef that understands flavor combinations extremely well, the servers are kind without being intrusive or over the top, the atmosphere is exactly what you want from a Fort Greene dining experience.

Wow food was amazing. I always find italian pastas too be too salty but here the texture of noodles and the flavors were amazing. Oxtail ragu pappardelle - the oxtail literally melts in your mouth. I usually dont like ragu pappardelle bc usually I find it very dry but this was amazing. Squid ink spagetti was also so great mix of seafood and also perfect balance of flavors. Tiramisu is a MUST!! im very picky with my tiramisu and it was soft moist and super creamy the perfect ratio a tiramisu should have. Evan our server was great. There was a big group next to us so it was a bit loud so was had to raise our voices but overall restaurant atmosphere is filled with beautiful paintings but is on the smaller side. I will definitely back to try other dishes very soon :)

Stopped here by chance on a lovely fall Sunday morning. Beautifully located on the corner of the street, the outdoor seating area gets abundant sun in the am. Drip coffee was terrific and was refilled for me. The lemon scone was phenomenal - warm with crispy bits and a moist interior served with a sharp lemon custard and dense whip cream. Was tempted to try a bunch of other stuff I saw arriving at tables next to me, but ran out of time. Did visit the inside which was both elegant and cozy. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend!

Omg we had the best time at Evelina! The place is absolutely gorgeous with cozy vibes and a romantic lighting. The menu is mouthwatering and everything we tried was amazing! They have delicious mocktails too! It’s perfect for date night, group and solo dining.

I had an absolutely fantastic time. Evelina never disappoints. The food is always amazing and our waiter was extremely accommodating and attentive to all food allergies. The first time I had their pancakes I had to go back for more! The squid in risotto is also my favorite item on the dinner menu.

Super cute outdoor seating and great place for brunch near Fort Greene park. Service was good, ambiance was good, and food was good (the black sea bass was fresh & flavorful). Great place for brunch with friends if you don’t have reservation.

Delicious is an understatement. It was 2 of us that went for brunch. I opted for the egg Benedict which came with prosciutto (which i do not eat), but the kindly gave me the option to switch it to salmon. Couldn't have made a better choice. Long story short, go here and enjoy the delicious food they serve!

Delish little restaurant. Oxtail ragu was lovely. Perfect al dente texture, if you were wondering. Tons of indoor & outdoor seating. They have a gelato bar. Easy to walk in on a Saturday at 2pm.

Cozy vibe, friendly and quick service, with good brunch carbs and seafood option. We loved the Charred Spanish Octopus and Ravioli though the dessert was not that impressive. Overall, will come back again.

Pretty tasty overall. Was walking through the neighborhood after visiting the vet for my dog. A lot of sit down places were closed at the time so options were very limited. Luckily we stumbled on Evelina and it turned out to be a pleasant lunch. We didn't get drinks because the place was a bit pricey overall and we were not trying to spend hundreds on a random lunch. Service was exceptional, our waiter was very lovely. We started with the Pinsa Bianca, which was right up my alley, but my husband doesn't like olives, so it was a bit off putting for him. The roasted red pepper and olive salsa had a strong olive taste and smell and it was lovely, it was my fault for not noticing it had olives in it. I had the saffron malloreddus and I have to be honest... It was just okay. It was tasty, but not amazing. Very zesty from citrus and the pasta was very al dente. The crab was a bit fishy and the cherry tomatoes were a bit too acidic. It felt like the dish was just slightly off balance... But what do I know. My husband had the burratta ravioli and he greatly enjoyed it. Heavy taste of mushrooms, if you like that. Overall, not a bad lunch but not a place I'd travel to go back to.

Brunch in Clinton Hill/Fort Greene is an experience. The variety of restaurants rival the Village eateries of the late 80's. Evelina is a great spot to enjoy a fusion of Mediterranean/Italian selections. The vibe is bright, airy and laid-back. I started with the Whipped Ricotta and peppers w/pita, the main was the Octopus Salad and dessert was an Affagotto. Delicious!!!

The food was very pretty good. They don’t do brunch on weekdays which sucks but it was a decent eating experience. Bathroom is clean and I love the touch a coffee beans.

Really loved the atmosphere and the appetizer we got (fried zucchini blossoms) was great. Unfortunately, maybe I didn’t get the right pasta dish (the cavatelli) it didn’t hit the spot for me. My friends enjoyed their pappardelle though!

It was The Carboholic from Instagram that named this restaurant for some of the best pancakes in New York. She put Evelina’s Lemon Ricotta Pancakes on her pancake list. That’s the reason why I came for breakfast but sadly I came too late that they were out of the pancakes. I would advise anyone who wants to the pancakes to come early and not before lunchtime. I was still able to order Evelina’s famous lemon scone for which I’ve heard great things about it. People were not wrong about the scone. Mine came freshly baked from the oven and it came with butter and lemon curd on the side. It was very delicious! I would definitely recommend to anyone to order the lemon scone. I ordered a latte and the breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was yummy. The eggs were soft and creamy. The staff is very friendly and I’m definitely coming back to try those pancakes. They must be very good if they sold out before 11am. Lol!

Aesthetic brunch spot with Italian influence. Made a reservation online for three people at 10am on a Saturday a couple weeks in advance. There was a short wait but we got a large table on the patio. The issue with the patio was that the acorns dripping from the tree onto the roof were extremely loud and there was construction on the street, so that messed up the ambiance. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the company and the food, though on the smaller side, was nicely plated. We got the following: Ricotta pancakes - these weren’t too sweet and came in three, so it was perfect for our group to split. Short rib - a solid plate that is good for sharing as well; the meat fell off the bone and came with buttery mashed potatoes. Porcini ravioli - the best dish in my opinion - even our waitress prefers this over all the other pastas.

Walked in restaurant Saturday at 6pm, got two seats at the bar without a reservation. Food was good, drinks were too - bartender was nice but seemed a bit overwhelmed. Hostess was so nice, she was pregnant but hustling to service us and speak to us :) (thank you) Vibes were great! Would go back Paid +$250 for two so it is expensive

First, I want to commend the culinary team here. The food was truly exceptional, particularly the chanterelle ravioli pasta and the NYC strip. The cocktails were also excellent. However, the service we received is close to tragedy. While our server seemed to be pleasant gay dude, there was a noticeable lack of attentiveness and interest throughout the entire visit. We had absolutely no interaction, beside when placing our initial food order. We experienced zero follow-ups regarding our drinks or food, nor any general check-ins. This lack of engagement resulted in us waiting approximately 20 minutes to order dessert, which is completely unnecessary. We end up tipping 20% because we plan to come back but this should not be a service standard for the restaurant of this caliber.

We sat on the patio and had a great experience. Marisa was our server, who was extremely knowledgeable of the entire menu, and her wine and food recommendations were fantastic. The ambience was relaxed yet refined, with dim lighting and ample space between tables—perfect for a date or catch up with friends. Gelato stand is a great way to round the night out.

Evelina nails the ambiance—it’s a beautifully cozy, dimly lit spot that feels effortlessly romantic, perfect for date night or an intimate dinner with friends. The service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, adding to the overall great vibe of the place. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t quite live up to the setting. While nothing was outright bad, most dishes felt a bit underwhelming and lacked the flavor or finesse you’d hope for at this price point. The crudo was a bit meaty and chunky and the bread and dips felt more like a greek dish than an Italian one which felt out of place. The tiramisu was great. Still, if you’re looking for a charming atmosphere and great hospitality, Evelina is worth a visit—just don’t go in expecting a culinary knockout.

Excellent neighborhood spot. Food was delicious and everything we ordered was pretty good. Nothing out of the ordinary but the quality of the food was really good and menu had a good variety of items. The steak, halibut and zucchini flowers were probably the most memorable dishes. I thought the pastas could have been a bit better seasoned. Really enjoyed it and would recommend and go back!

This neighborhood spot has such great charm to it. We came on a snowy night and it had such beautiful cozy vibes. The art and the decor was lovely. The service was really great, we came with the party of four and we were there just under 2 1/2 hours. Everything is very unique, I think our favorite was the mushroom pasta, as well as the olive oil cake.

Honestly, I wasn’t impressed. The QR code menu cheapens the whole experience (not to mention, the website is a mess and impossible to navigate). The zucchini flowers were wayyyyy too salty. The orange olive oil cake was dry. I definitely won’t be returning. For the price, I’d rather go to Rucola, a couple stops further on the G.

really cute place, the food was good, and if I lived in the area, I’d probably come back, but when I go to New York, I want mind blowing meals, and I can skip this place next time. We had the eggplant, steak, ravioli, and lasagna.

I recently visited Evelina for dinner, though I think it's better known for its brunch offerings. Unfortunately, as a place listed under Italian cuisine, it didn't quite meet my expectations. The service, however, was the highlight of the evening—absolutely top-notch. The staff was attentive and welcoming, making the experience more enjoyable despite the food not living up to its potential. When it comes to the food, the Heirloom Tomato Salad was probably the best dish I tried, though I did substitute the burrata for mozzarella, which I found to be a better choice. The oxtail ragu was also quite nice, but the cacio e pepe was a bit of a letdown; it lacked the punch of black pepper that makes the dish truly stand out. Overall, the dishes seemed to lack balance, especially when it came to acidity and salt. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Italian cuisine, Evelina might not be the spot. There are definitely better Italian restaurants out there. However, if you're in the area and want good service and a decent meal, it might be worth a visit, especially for brunch.

The burger was soggy, very messy and not warm. It lacked flavor. The gin & Tonic was good. My bartender was very sweet. I was underwhelmed by the burger. I left after one drink, which is so out of the ordinary for me.

Ambiance is good. Good service. Ordered the zucchini flowers as an app, was unimpressed. No bread or anything for the table. Then we got the mafaldine with pesto and the ragu pasta. The pesto was not flavorful, in fact it tasted like soap. The ragu was good but was not wowed. We ordered the tiramisu and the olive oil cake, those were the highlights. At the end, there was some spilled gelato on the table and they cleared plates but did not bother to clean off the table. Overall, I was pretty unimpressed by the dishes even though they looked great reading off the menu.

I don't really think I would come back even if it wasn't on my own dime. This is another one of those internet hyped restaurants that instills in me a profound distrust in the general population. Why this restaurant has 4.7 is beyond me. The service was poor I think we waited for the bill for like 20 minutes. The busser had an attitude. Just unpleasant energy for who knows why. The pasta is mediocre at best the only real flavors you can taste are that of cream and that of salt. Best thing was the beets, but thats not hard to do beets do the work themselves. The steak is cooked well but the chimichurri is so salty.

Evelina has a lovely ambiance and aesthetic—perfect for a nice night out in Brooklyn. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the setting. The ravioli and calamari were just okay, nothing memorable. The biggest letdown was the tiramisu—it lacked depth of flavor and just tasted overwhelmingly sweet, more like sugar than dessert. With such a great atmosphere, I had high hopes, but the food left much to be desired.
