I have had two absolutely lovely dinners at Olea! The food and atmosphere blew me away both times. The restaurant is located on a peaceful, tree-lined street, and their outdoor seating is perfect for a meal on a warm day. Their food is unique and excellent. I loved the falafel-crusted artichokes, stuffed dates, red pepper and feta dip, and mussels. I was impressed by the number of great vegetarian options. On top of all this, everyone who worked there was really friendly! What a great neighborhood spot. I'll definitely be back.

We showed up here on a Monday with no reservations expecting no wait. Instead there was a crowd at the front waiting for a table. We learnt that reservations can be made for indoor seating only and outdoor is first come first served. We had an artichoke falafel dish for appetizer which I wasn’t too crazy about. Our entrees were delicious - Branzino and lamb dishes were authentic tasting and flavorful. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Will be back.

Spent the day exploring Brooklyn and wanted a local spot to eat, came across this restaurant and we were absolutely not disappointed!! Super cozy atmosphere, delicious and shareable dishes, and very friendly staff (thanks Margaret!). Highly recommend the fried brussel sprouts, Greek french toast, and falafel crusted artichoke hearts. Amazing Brooklyn must eat!

My favorites were the sangria-marinated hanger steak with pickled onions and pomegranate seeds. We went on memorial day for dinner and waited 40 minutes but it was worth it. I don't expect the wait to be as long if we went on another day.

Just delicious! We came here right before the line started forming for Sunday brunch - I was very thankful for that. I opted to try the Greek French toast - it was amazing! I love that it was not too sweet , had a nice crunch and nuttiness flavor from the sesame seeds and everything paired so well with the Greek yogurt. Definitely recommends and definitely would try making dish this myself :) overall chill atmosphere -- would come back again

Food was great, cozy restaurant and our server James made the experience amazing. A group of three and shared what is showed in the pictures. The branzino and paella were delicious. I wish the menu offered more seafood options!

One of my favorite places for brunch in New York, because of the amount of savory options they have. I love the platter options in the general variety.

Really good food in a cozy atmosphere. I got their chicken platter which came with a variety of foods and the chicken breast wasn't tough. My friend got the green eggs and lamb dish.

The entrance launches a journey of discovery. A high-quality option in this neighborhood. Outstanding personal attention. The meals here leave you unsatisfied. Staff attention was great and dishes satisfied.

An absolutely lovely neighborhood gem on a quaint Fort Greene street that is on the pricier side (~$30/entree) but well worth it. We ordered the: - Brussels sprouts - Almond stuffed bacon wrapped dates - Spicy labneh feta (a special that evening) - Greek paella Every dish was mouthwatering-ly tasty. We would highly recommend all four dishes, and we’ll be back to try the desserts. A must try if you’re in the area!

I love Olea, I have been there a few times and it never disappoints. They have great food, great service and also great coffee! Plus dining inside is super cozy with all the plants and decorations. (now look at that picture of the combo of spreads, they not only look amazing, the taste is even better!)

Delicious food. Such great flavor! I went for a lunch date and it was perfect. We sat outside and loved the ambiance out there, it's on the corner of a great block in Fort Greene but inside seemed nice as well. Staff was attentive. Close to Fort Greene Park. Just perfect.

TOP NOTCH. Cannot stop thinking about how amazing every single dish was and what a great time I had. For appetizers, we got the falafel crusted artichokes. For mains, we shared the lamb hash and chicken shawarma sliders. And the dessert… don’t even get me started on the chocolate cake with vegan whipped cream, sea salt caramel, and coconut ice cream. PERFECTION! There is literally nothing I did not like about this place, the service was splendid and the ambiance speaks for itself. We sat outside but the inside is comfy and cute. Cannot wait to come back!

Met my sister for her birthday dinner with some friends and we all were pleasantly surprised. Our server Miranda was AMAZING and super attentive. She gave great food and drink reccomendations while the best music played softly in the background. Birthday girl even had dessert on the house. Best night ever!

What an amazing experience from the moment you walk in the service is personal . Our waiter was such a good means of giving suggestions. The dips were incredible we tried the humus, red pepper and you can’t go to a Mediterranean restaurant without some tzatziki all the breads were fresh and tasty. We also ordered the fried Brussel sprouts, dates wrapped in bacon, mussels and for me my absolute favorite was the split pea soup, different never had it quite like this but it was delicious even with a beets. I also ordered the Bronzino which was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right As for my son he loved the brisket with mash. Espresso martini was a perfect dessert pairs with the sesame ice cream. And even though we were the last ones to sit on Christmas Eve they really treated us with so much poise, warm, it really felt as if we had gone to eat at a family members house. I will be back!

Always an amazing time at Olea! Been going for years for brunch or dinner and the food is always so delicious. As a gluten free vegetarian there’s so many options for me and so many options for my non gluten free vegetarian partner and friends :) It’s great for everyone!

Very comfortable Mediterranean restaurant. Great atmosphere and service was excellent. Great for Sunday lunch. The olea brisket sandwich was my favorite on the menu. Also great drink options.

It was a good thing that I was able to be here at Fort Green, Brooklyn to catch the day's specials on this gorgeous Friday morning. The Mussels with Toasted Baguette had a briny, flavorful taste that made me want to keep eating. It was a good thing I ordered a side of Lamb Merguez sausages because it added to the satisfaction of the main entree. The Desert special was also equally satisfying. The Basque Burnt Cheesecake with Raspberry compote was good. The acid of the compote went well with the creamy cheesecake which wasn't sweet and had a neutral flavor. The restroom uses a sliding door and clean but only one person at a time can use it. Overall it was great time.

I literally never leave reviews even for places I really enjoy, but this place is fantastic. I went with a group of people and everything we ordered was delicious! I highly recommend the savory parmesan french toast or lamb hash, and the dips were so good I had to get romesco to-go. This might be one of the best kept secrets in Brooklyn. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Everything here was great - Aesthetic and vibes were amazing. Every dish came with huge unexpected portions. We ordered the Bronzino, seafood Paella, Farro bowl, sides of olives, potatoes and the whipped ricotta with honey and chilies… A1 meal - Would definitely back

Great spot! Stopped by here for brunch (around 12:15 there was about a 20 minute wait for two on a Sunday). All the food we ate was delicious and the drinks were tasty, too. I had multiple options as a vegetarian which was fantastic. The vibe inside was also very nice and pleasant.

I’m probably the only person that doesn’t like brunch (IMO brunch menus usually are lacking - I prefer breakfast or dinner) HOWEVER Olea’s brunch is a must! The drinks are amazing. I had the spiked hot cider. So good! But not to be mistaken, the Olea breakfast steals the show! I’ve never had anything like it. The flavor is very unique. In addition to the food, the restaurant itself has a very cozy feel. This place is a must try for brunch. Highlights of the menu: 1. The house made Ricotta is delicious!! Both sweet and savory are amazing. Must try 2. Salmon sandwich (sometimes on the brunch menu) is to die for!! It always a sweet surprise when I’m dining and notice it’s on the menu! UPDATE: I decided to switch it up and try Olea’s dinner and here are my recommendations- 1. Brussels sprouts - I inhaled it. So good 2. Falafel crusted artichoke- Another winner. So flavorful. The sauce that accompanies it is the prefect addition. I’ve tried the vegan paella and didn’t enjoy it. The rice was a little burned and didn’t have a soup base like most paella. Others may enjoy it.

Coffee came out strong and very hot! The green eggs and lamb was very unique, the eggs had a lot of flavor and were cooked perfectly, not dry at all. The lamb sausage had a hint of spice. The pita was good, maybe could have been a bit softer and fresher. The Greek French toast was really really good, kind of a tart and refreshing yogurt, with sesame crusted French toast, probably my favorite plate. The classic French toast was exactly that, cooked very well crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Would definitely come back here again. Food did take a little bit to come out though.

A

New favorite spot! We tried the falafel-crusted artichokes, veggie burger and the sesame-crusted greek french toast. The falafel-crusted artichokes and French toast really blew me away. Super unique and flavors were all on point. Olea is also located in an adorable neighborhood. Great for a walk while you wait for your table. 10/10 will definitely be back!

I already came in with high expectations since several people had recommended I try Olea, but those expectations were exceeded! We got lucky and happened to be there on a beautiful day so we sat outside — the location is at a gorgeous and peaceful street corner. It almost feels like you’re on vacation outside the big city. Food was absolutely delicious. We got 3 smaller tapas-style dishes and one main: Bacon-wrapped dates, corn salad, the tuna-stuffed peppers and this spicy shakshuka (it was called something else on the menu). Everything was so fresh and well-seasoned and creative and …fun to eat! Staff were really friendly and attentive. All around A+ experience.

Honestly in my top 5 best brunch places in all of NYC. Being seated is fast, service is quick and friendly. And the food! Damn the brunch is great. I usually get the Olea Breakfast, herby eggs, tzatziki, a bit of feta, a Mediterranean eggplant salad, some cute olives, pita, and the pièce de résistance, the salted honey tahini. One of the best dips(?) I’ve ever had. The sangria is a perfect pick me up after a night out.

Olea was a great time! Very laid back neighborhood spot for brunch/lunch with excellent greek and Mediterranean inspired fare. They also have 3 types of french toast which is just awesome. James at the bar was an excellent host for us, he made sure we had everything we needed and is the best. The wait can be a little long at peak hours, but try to snag a bar seat if you are just going with one other person or alone. Final note on those bloody marys, they are spicy!

S
Sarah Myers

I had the best vegetarian farro pasta dish here!! Normally when I order veggie pasta it is bland, watery, veggies are overcooked, or the veggies aren't even that nutritious. Olea delivered with its combo of well-cooked veggies with just a decent amount of cheese. The portion is HUGE and fit for almost two dinners. The waiter was so hospitable and did everything they could to make my wait time fair and worth it.

Ned, our server, was very attentive. We enjoyed our most delicious braised chicken dish and refreshing Spanish beer. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Thanks Olea!

A favorite spot for many and for good reason. The food is thoughtfully prepared and served. New takes on traditional ingredients. I especially appreciate the falafel encrusted artichoke appetizer. We ordered the Greek paella, perfectly portioned and prepared for two. The atmosphere is eclectic and relaxed, church pew seating, well rubbed bronze accents, Mediterranean tiling with weathered wood all combine for a delightful dinner. I’m never disappointed when I visit, and the staff are all wonderful.

Really delicious Mediterranean food in a lovely setting. I just have to start by saying they need another server! Two waiters for a whole restaurant is crazy We ordered the feta-labneh dip, the goat cheese croquettes, the artichoke hearts, and the Greek paella. Definitely recommend the feta-labneh dip and the goat cheese croquettes!

Wow it’s been 2 weeks and I’m still thinking about this meal. We started with the halloumi which was our fav! The Brussels sprouts were delicious too. I had the braised chicken which was so tender and moist. I also loved the mashed potatoes that came with the chicken. The staff were amazing and service was speedy, friendly and I’ll definitely be back soon. We ate right before attending a concert at Irondale and it was a perfect start to our night!

I want to say a massive thank you to the wonderful kitchen at Olea. I have been ordering delivery for a week or two straight and they have never faltered. the food is excellent, warm and fresh tasting. they are a beacon of light during some tough times. I recommend their spicy pasta, brussel sprouts, and garlic bread. everything else is great too but these are my favorites.

This was a restaurant that I came many many years ago with my date then, and I’ve been scratching my memories to find this place again. And finally found it. Food itself is quite simple and I would rate it 4 stars probably. I enjoyed my foods (except garlic bread) but wouldn’t say they were so memorable or very outstanding. Romesco dip was the favorite for what I had so far. One extra star is really due to the ambience of it. I love the interior here and def would like to come more often even myself if it were more closely located. Their outdoor seating seemed very charming too although I didn’t have a chance to try it myself yet. 음식자체는 전체적으로 무난무난한 편인데 개인적으로는 여기 레스토랑 분위기나 인테리어가 너무 마음에 들어요

We went here for my birthday after going here 2 years ago and loving it. The ambience of the inside is truly unbeatable - the high ceilings, cozy lighting, and mindfully decorated space makes you forget that you're in a bustling city. Dre was our server and he just completed the vibe. He has a great energy. We got the carafe of red sangria which is a fav of our at any spot, but Olea is especially good at it. The trio of dips was definitely too much for 2 people, but I can't complain about an abundance of the best dips ever. Just come ready with an appetite. THEN we got one of the specials, it was a shrimp in garlic olive oil in a mini cast iron skillet and uhhhh oh my god it was so good. I have been thinking about it ever since. We will be back! :)

such a cute and homey vibe!! the perfect level of noise that was perfect for a long due catchup with a couple friends. would be perfect for a date or with family they let us try a bit of the wine before we committed which was really nice. would highly rec the syrah if you like red wine. (also really generous wine portions haha)

I went here to have dinner with my aunt. We both loved Olea. We came at the tail end of happy house and grabbed the house red. It was a good red unlike your typical house selection. I had the pumpkin soup with candied chickpeas and it was absolutely fantastic. Perfect meal for a cold winter day. My aunt had the filet of sole which she also loved. We also had sole “fish sticks” to kick off the meal which we peculiar but also very good. I would absolutely come pack. Great place for a date, a small birthday dinner, or just a night out with the Judys.

J

Delicious brunch with Mediterranean spices. The menu transcends regular American brunch options slightly, but all is kept relatively familiar. The highlight for me was the seasoning and the excellent breads. The coffee was fine, a decent dark roast. The indoor space is too loud.

This place has such a cute aesthetic to it and all the food and drinks were SO good. Everything we ordered was 10/10. Get the sangria and brussel sprouts for sure!! Staff is extremely friendly as well. I’d definitely go back!

On a rainy summer evening, we were accommodated nicely underneath the overhead roof over the front parklet seating along the sidewalk. We had the seasonal tomato gazpacho special, which was a wonderful treat on a hot summer day, the halloumi cheese, which was fried, and the seafood gazpacho with rice cooked in squid ink. The server was gracious with us sharing a few plates, and I would definitely return. The white sangria was refreshing. The interior atmosphere / vibe looked intriguing, and I would suggest a reservation here if you’re planning on going.

One of the best brunches I’ve had in recent memory, which means I’ve now been to Olea for every meal around the clock. This place is amazing and anything you get will be delicious. We got the Olea Breakfast and the brioche French toast…everything was to die for. Also loved the white sangria with mango, perfect for a hot spring day. Will be back many times.

Just tried this place for the first time last night and wow! The service was wonderful and accommodating and the food was fresh and delicious. I went with a friend and we ordered a bunch of tapas; the vegan meatballs, brussel sprouts, roasted mushrooms, falafel crusted artichokes, fried green olives, and chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert. I can’t believe it took me so long to get there and I can’t wait to go back again. 😋

Absolutely delicious and really good customer service. A couple of our orders took a while to come out, I guess a mixup with the kitchen. They were really apologetic and offered us a free round of drinks and also comped both of the items that were delayed. We were shocked by their generosity and really appreciated the gesture!

One of the best restaurants in Fort Greene. Cocktails are a must. Get plates to share to enjoy the best of the menu for dinner. If you're there for brunch, all the French toast options are spot on.

Dishes that are memorable, hearty, and delicious. The restaurant’s vibe is kind of like a lowkey dinner party an old friend’s place who spent a lot of time bouncing around different grandma’s kitchens in the Mediterranean. The neighborhood needs more walk-in friendly & remarkable spots like Olea ✨ had the spicy labneh & artichoke falafel for starters then the lamb stew & garlic shrimp that were both on their 20th anniversary menu. Adored it all.

We came to Olea to celebrate my cousin’s birthday for brunch and absolutely loved it. From the moment we walked in, the space felt warm, cozy, and artsy—such a welcoming neighborhood vibe that immediately makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The brunch was incredible. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor, and you can really tell how much care goes into the food. Everything we tried was delicious, and the menu felt elevated while still being comforting and approachable. It was the perfect spot for a birthday celebration—relaxed, intimate, and special without feeling stuffy. Olea is one of those places that feels like a true gem. The atmosphere, the food, and the overall experience were all fantastic. I already can’t wait to come back—especially to try dinner next time. Highly recommend for brunch, celebrations, or just a great meal in a lovely setting.

Great Mediterranean brunch for those who love breakfast / brunch at any hour. Airy interior, tables are tiny bit cramped, nice big windows to enjoy winter sun. Large bathroom in wc standards. Lamb was top notch. Some mezes were too vinegary suggesting canned vegetable use but still tasted great. Coffee is on the mod weakness side. Service is attentive and wonderful. Got seated immediately as party of 2 at a wintery Sunday noon. Would come back.

I wanted to take the time to applaud the whole staff at this restaurant for excellent service that went above and beyond any other restaurant I’ve ever been to before. My friends and I TRULY felt cared for in a way that will stick with me for a long time. Moreover, the food was absolutely delicious with more than fair prices and a cozy, warm atmosphere to make the dining experience all the more memorable. Special shoutout to Jack for being a big help to my friends and me. Recommend: pomegranate mimosas and the house-made yogurt

Love the dark lighting and star lights, music was fun, waiters were sweet. The pomegranate juice was delicious — a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness, especially with the accompanying lime. The orecchiette burrata pasta from the special menu was exquisite.

Excellent Mediterranean restaurant tucked away on a quiet corner in Fort Greene! Love this spot. Olea is primarily walk-in, but they do have reservations on Resy that book up on the weekends at key times about 1-2 weeks out. If you walk up at prime times for lunch or dinner, you can usually expect at least a 30-45 min wait, so plan for that and get a drink nearby. Best to go on slightly off times (we arrived Sunday 2:30pm and sat right away) or on a weekday night. The food and service is excellent though. For brunch - the shakshuka, patatas bravas and shawarma chicken sliders are all hits. They also have great dips. Great for outdoor dining during the summer!

Lunch here was great! With spring weather approaching and here, the outdoor seating was perfect. The food was delicious and I’d recommend to try a handful of tapas for sure. The falafel crusted artichoke was delicious. It’s exactly what you’d expect. The halloumi was great and was accompanied with a nice harissa sauce and chili pepper. Not that spicy. Patatas bravas is basically glorified French fries but that’s fine by me. The almond stuffed dates were good, could probably pass on these. The arctic char sandwich was herby, savory, and had a little kick of spice. If you’re in the mood for a delicious fish sandwich, I’d 100% go for it. My GF got the chicken platter and ngl it looked ok. Kinda like large slop platter for a similar price.

Had dinner here with a big group and loved everything we tried! The dip trio is the move - the pita is so fluffy and fresh. We also tried the mushroom appetizer, branzino, orichette and warm farro salad. All were winners. The staff was accommodating to specific allergy-related requests in our group too. I’d definitely come back!

Very tasty lamb hash (5/5). Tender well cooked and spiced lamb with a lovely feta blend and dollops of harissa seasoning that isn't too spicy along with perfectly cooked potatoes. The service is also super nice - be prepared to wait for brunch. The feta dip (4/5) was good albeit very dense.

Second time at Olea and another great dinner! I love their smaller pocket pitas that’s warm, fresh and soft. Warm salad is very good, and always love their seafood paella and branzino! I’ve had better fried halloumi cheese elsewhere, and the space can feel cramped when busy. But overall a lovely and lively place with great food and service. Will be back again.

Cozy neighborhood Mediterranean restaurant. Absolutely adore the interior and the dishes are fabulous. We ordered the dips, garlic shrimp, seafood paella, short ribs, lamb pasta and warm salad, and they were all delicious. The warm salad is definitely not something to sleep on! Great food and a comfy atmosphere. Stopped by during the afternoon at happy hour and was presented with unique dishes that had great flavor. It gets a bit busy, but the service remains excellent. Their ingredients were fresh and local. Cocktails were well crafted. The raspberry sorbet ice cream was creamy and sweet!

The only complaint I have about Olea is how small the portion is given the price. I don’t mind the smaller size per se but I think the paella for example was not worth $28... The flavor’s pretty good though and the cocktails are strong! :p

Yoghurt parfait with rhubarb was stellar, and I enjoyed the cilantro egg with lamb sausage as well. The food came out a little cold though which was sad. Olea has a great brunch place atmosphere.

This very cute resturant has indoor and outdoor seating. It is light and charming, kind of bohemian vibes Despite how busy the resturant was (we arrived around noon on nice Saturday) we were seated right away. The menu was diverse and well layed out. They had a separate specials menu that was for Saturday's brunch. I ordered the white singra it was absolutely delicious. It was sweet yet very strong. My friend had raspberry Mimosa he said it was sweet yet tart. Service getting our food was very slow. I am assuming to lunch rush. We also order the sourdough bread as appetizer. It was quite heard and not that tasty. Our food took a while but once again it was busy so maybe it was expected. I had the lamb hash. It was delicious. My friend had had the eggs and polenta. The polenta was absolutely delightful. I would probably get the eggs and polenta again before the lamb hash.

Olea Est. 2005 Layout/atmosphere *Seven seat bar; tables; plants; tables on sidewalk under awning; covered outdoor dining structure on Adelphi St Service *Solid Food/drink *Estrella Galicia Especial (bottle) - above average; malty *Tuscan Kale Salad (Lacinato kale, lemon-olive oil-caper dressing, sundried tomatoes, toasted pine nuts, Sicilian sheep’s milk pecorino cheese) - lot of cheese; liked the nuts and the dressing *Greek Paella (saffron rice, red pepper sofrito, braised lamb shoulder, green vegetables, tomatoes, kalamata olives, tzatziki, feta and dill) - some spice from the sofrito; saltiness of the olives; liked the tzatziki

Overall good vibes and a solid neighborhood joint. Nothing super crazy, but good stuff overall. The dips were good. Lamb hash also worth ordering for brunch

Let’s talk about the good first. The food is amazing the pasta, falafel, clams and especially the Brussels sprouts, good balance of sweet and salty, the edge of the vegetable is fried to perfection, crispy outside soft flavorful inside, the food here is no doubt world class. BUT !!! The cocktail we had that night was a disaster, I ordered a whiskey based cocktail, it was over powerly strong, my partner had another gin based cocktail it was too strong as well, couldn’t taste the dynamic of different ingredients. We proceed to send the drinks back, and told the server that it is too strong and doesn’t taste right, he told me “ yea it’s whiskey it’s suppose to be strong, as if I don’t know what it was…. And then told my partner that she drank almost half of the drink already, we told him that we can pay for the drink we are just not satisfied with the drink that’s all, and then ordered two glasses of house white wine, and to our surprise it was bad as well… it tasted like water downed white wine, we’ve never experienced anything like it anywhere. But drink aside the food is good. That’s why it loses a star.

Solid Mediterranean situation with absolutely no bad options on the menu. Whether you lean toward exotic Greek, bohemian tapas or classic nu-american brunch with a lamb twist. it's all here! The spicy impossible burger was super tasty and well cooked. The olea brunch and the regular 2 eggs combo was perfectly balanced with nice side salads, olives and homemade whole wheat pitas, the hummus was spot on and probably one of the best hummus servings I've ever had in NYC. Drink menu is great, not fantastic, but absolutely reasonably priced. Staff is always nice and extremely fast considering how busy this place is. The downside can be the wait. They don't let you leave a number so you have to stay "in line", which can be tough to accommodate for people with busy lives or fear of cold weather.

Brunch Review: Live close by and we had never been since it was always so busy. Decided to go for brunch at around 11:30 and luckily a table for 2 was immediately available. Trio dip was good, I got the green eggs and lamb and husband got the French toast plus lamb sausage. All really good. Only 2 minor things is the bathroom is pretty dark and someone kept trying to open it since there’s only a small lock chain to close so they didn’t know someone was in there. And the restaurant’s a bit tight that you might feel like you’re eavesdropping on others’ conversations but definitely worth a visit. Update for Dinner Review: Went for dinner and it’s amazing! The potatoes, shishito peppers, Brussels sprouts, Ribeye Steak, paella, all delicious!

Went here for brunch! It’s good to get a reservation on weekends. They had a wait when we reached and some folks were waiting for a while. For food, we got the lamb hash, three dips and an olea breakfast. I like that they have options for vegetarians and vegans! My friends really liked the lamb hash. The pita bread with the dips was good. The romesco was really nice! I like the olea breakfast! It had a little bit of everything. The eggplant in it was particularly good. Everything was really good

We’d been wanting to try this spot for the longest time and finally got in on a Saturday. The space is very cute inside—cozy and inviting. The food was exceptionally good and lived up to expectations. Unfortunately, our server spent more time socializing with his colleagues than attending to the table - overall lackluster service.

Nice and cozy interior, but we sat outside under one of the heated lamps. Servers were nice and friendly, food was good. They have one warm cocktail-a spiked apple cider that was good, as well as some hot teas. The trio of dips is great for sharing (the feta labneh is very feta forward, but in a good way), the patatas bravas was great, the fried halloumi I could do without (I prefer grilled and think you lose some of the texture once it’s fried). The brisket was a great main; slightly sweet and accompanied the Greek salad nicely. The pumpkin basque cheesecake had a nice texture and spice to it.

This spot in my neighborhood has been on my list for awhile. Every time I walk past there are a ton of people eating there. We went for happy hour drinks and tapas and enjoyed the bites. It wasn’t as amazing as I was hyping it up to be in my head, but we still had a good time, and I would come back again to try brunch or dinner. The highlights were the fried olives and Brussel sprouts. We also had pita & hummus, impossible meatballs, and pickled cauliflower. The wine servings were very generous. We ate inside and for some reason constantly had flies around our table. This place is busy so we did have to give up our table after 90 minutes.

Great environment for breakfast / brunch when the weather is nice and they have some outdoor seating. It’s not a huge place so you may need to wait for a table. The vegan burger was alright. I hope they add more vegan options soon.

We stumbled upon this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon and were able to get seats at the bar without a reservation, which was a nice surprise. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable, and the service was friendly and efficient. We decided to try a variety of dishes, including the kale salad, meat paella, and one of the appetizers. While everything was presented nicely, the flavors didn’t quite deliver — the food overall felt a bit underwhelming. The paella lacked depth and seasoning, and the salad, while fresh, was pretty basic. Nothing stood out as particularly memorable. It wasn’t a bad experience, but considering the number of great options nearby, I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to return.

I went on a Sunday night and was happy to be seated at a table for 2 right away. It was pretty full and lively, but there was just enough space for us. Food and service were quick. I would try again if something on their changing menu interested me. I definitely want to try another dessert! Food I was excited to see scallops on their specials menu and got the scallops, which came with orzo together in a creamy lemon egg sauce (avgolemono). The sauce had a nice flavor, while the scallops themselves hardly had any flavor, which was sad for me since that was why I had picked the dish. Had a bite of the Braised Beef Boneless Short Ribs with mashed potatoes and spinach that my friend ordered and was pretty jealous. It was very tasty! Finished off with the toasted white sesame ice cream which was perfect. Ambience This place is cute and intimate. Its Brooklyn style is "charmingly outdated" -- with wooden ceiling fans which suggest to me no HEPA filter. It felt stuffy as soon as walking in but not overwhelmingly so.

The food was tasty and the drinks were great. I highly recommend the mezcal. The waiters could be a bit more attentive though. We had to ask two different people three times for hot sauce. When asked if we wanted dessert we said we'll take a look at the menu. The waiter went to get it but obviously forgot as he returned without it and started waiting on other tables. We got frustrated and asked for the check. Hot tip: Ask for bug spray before you get seated. We were a four course meal for mosquitos before we figured out that they had a bug spray on site.

The food was delicious, the service was really stellar but a bit too pricey for what was served. Gets packed so arrive early and don’t bother with the lackluster dessert menu. The cream brûlée was a bust.

The paella was not exactly authentic, and the mussels were not the freshest. The beef brisket was very soft and tender, although the broccoli that accompanied it was not the most flavorful. The orecchiette was a little tougher than al dente. The calamari was a huge hit among my friends, though. The waitress, while pleasant and well-mannered, also served us our dishes before taking them away as she had served it to the wrong table apparently. She also dropped a dirty fork on us which stained my denim jeans.

Another cute and cozy spot in fort Greene. Friendly service, solid flavors and reasonable pricing. The dips and spreads were standouts but everything was good just not amazing but sometimes that’s ok. Verdict: will return and recommend!

I ordered the Eggs in Purgatory and it burned the roof of my mouth so badly that it was bleeding for 3 days after. 5 days later it’s still tender and it actually changed the way I talk now. If you order this, stir it up and let it sit for at least 3-5 minutes before touching it.

The food was phenomenal but the service was mediocre at best. Greek grilled cheese - probably one of the best grilled cheeses I’ve ever had Croquettes - not my favorite but my family loved it so probably just a taste preference Brussels - nice char, good flavor and drizzled with balsamic Dip trio- good way to try many options and the mini pitas were hot and fresh Falafel - fresh and crispy but didn’t really taste the artichoke much As for the service - our waiter was pretty rude, she gave us the check before we even asked/she asked us for it and we were going to order another round of drinks. But oh well, we just paid and left. We got out apps first and when the other server came with the entrees he pretty much rolled his eyes at us because we asked him to clear the dishes from the apps first. We only asked because the tables are small and there was no space for the new plates. It didn’t feel like an unreasonable request Ambiance - beautiful decor, nice homey vibe

We had brunch here. I would give 2.5 stars. Why not anymore? The atmosphere was pleasant. But as soon as we sat down, it was noticeable how milky the glasses and cutlery were. It took quite a long time before we could order. We had poached eggs (eggs in purgatory) and a brisket sandwich. After a very, very long wait, the plates arrived. The poached eggs were so hard I had to give them back. On the second attempt, at least one egg was still liquid. The meat in the sandwich was super dry. Think if the brisket was pulled and topped with a good sauce, the sandwich would be perfect. The drinks were good. In my opinion, there are better quality brunch places in Brooklyn.

Charlotte L

We were uncomfortable with the service during our visit. Due to a misunderstanding, multiple additional items were ordered for us without clear confirmation by our server (a male staff member with blonde hair). We ended up with three large mains and five appetizers, far more than we intended or agreed to. In addition, some of the dishes recommended did not align with our stated dietary restrictions. When the food arrived, the dishes were not clearly identified or confirmed with us regarding those restrictions. As a result, I had a reaction and experienced skin peeling and blisters for several days afterward. Despite these issues, we were charged for all items that were ordered without our consent. When dining out, we expect to have control over what we order, what we are served, and what we are charged for. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet that expectation.

Let me start with the good. The food here can be very good. I love that the menu caters to vegan and omnivores alike. I've been here many times before so I am not sure if it was an off night, but the service was as bad as it gets. They tried to seat us at a two person table when we hadn't told them how many people were in our party. Once seated the waiter didn't pay much attention to us. Took a while to order. Then it took a long time to get our food. A friend in my party is vegan and they brought the pasta with regular cheese and meat even though they had asked for it to be sans animal products. He had already tried it and I said not to throw it away. When they brought the new pasta there was no vegan cheese on it and it tasted bland. Eventually the bill came after waiting even more, and the waiter told us they had comped one of the pastas. They should have comped the entire dish. Sadly we wont be back anytime soon.

The food was okay, but the staff all seemed to be in a mood. And to top it all, a couple sitting next to me — a man with his guest — made my night unforgettable when he let out a huge fart right in the middle of my meal.

J
Jian-Yang Liu

Ordered the braised beef dinner for two, of which the beef was advertised as brisket. However, this is the leanest cut of brisket I've ever tasted. There is absolutely zero fat in any of the beef, making eating it an exercise in jaw strength. My partner could not even finish their portion because of how dry it was. One star for the potato, which was the star of the dish.
