The slice that brought me back to life! I really felt like I wasn’t going to make it through the day when I stumbled upon Giardini pizza. I got a mushroom olive and pepperoni sausage slices and 5 minutes later...I felt better than ever! It was like magic. If you’re struggling and need to be revived, Giardini pizza is the place to go!

This restaurant has the best pizza I've ever tasted! I'm not a pizza person, but this restaurant has made me rethink my preferences. Their crust is delicious! It has great flavor and doesn't make you have that weighed down feeling in your stomach after eating the crust from other pizzerias! The slices are generous, and the staff is courteous and giving. My family and I will be returning! (Sorry, no photos to share -- we ate everything!

L

Their pizza was absolutely delicious!! I had a large, plain slice, and a plain square. They are made with different sauces, but so delicious. The square was so light, and both cooked to perfection! I can't wait to go back soon for more. 💕So much better than the tasteless pizza I had the day before on 5th Avenue.

I was riding by and thought I'd stop for a slice. A customer at the store told me it was the best pizza in Brooklyn. I but a slice, and holy cow, I think he's right. I eat pizza often, too often perhaps, and this slice had everything. Thick stringy cheese, a taste like pizza had when I first tried it as a kid, and the perfect crust, not thin, and wonderful. I'm bringing my family next time.

I buy tons of pizza from Giardini’s. It’s my favorite slice in the area. I also use these guys for my business which caters to kids and families. I wouldn’t put my trust in the quality of what I serve to anyone else. They’re the best around!

The most authentic pizza in Brooklyn. Terrific crust that’s crispy and light and melts in your mouth. The sauces and cheeses are fresh and. home-made with genuine italian spices and garden tomatoes. The prices per slice/pie are below the imitation pizzas you buy in the market. The service is super friendly and fast. Also, a variety of great Italian dishes in one of Brookly’s oldest Italian neighborhood.

Best slice I’ve had in a while, good quality cheese and plenty of sauce. Crust perfectly soft and crispy. These days it seems like every pizza is essentially a white pizza without sauce, maybe as a cost saving measure? but theirs has restored my hope. Super fast, friendly fast service. Next to G

The BEST pizza in the US! Giardini s pizza is simply amazing. The crust is perfect. The sauce and the toppings are fresh and delicious. The cheese is generously layered, creating a gooey delight. Whether you like classics or adventurous flavors, they've got you covered. It's not just pizza; it's a taste sensation worth savoring again and again. Love this pizza every time!

Gen-X remembers a time when pretty much every single corner pizzeria was amazing in its own right. Going into the 90's, that started to change, and the trend has been monotonically trending downward ever since. In my neib, Midwood, we have Di Fara's, of course. But I honestly can't think of any other pizzas that knock my socks off. We have good ones, but other than Di Fara, none that really stand out. We were in Carrol Gardens and stumbled across Giardini. It looked good, so we walked in to get a pie and some calzone. The punchline is, Giardini really stands out. It's hard not comparing Giardini with Di Fara's, b/c Di Fara's is my "home turf", and I love both pizzas. The difference is, of course, that Di Fara's is known to be NYC's most expensive pizza, which is obviously not a contest anyone should want to win. What did I like about Giardini? The cheese was fresh and tastes beautiful. The average pizza these days is flavorless, but not this cheese! The sauce was not overly sweet. I still like *my* sauce better, but in terms of pizza sauce, this sauce is savory, not sickening sweet. It has a ripe tomato profile, which has sadly become elusive in the NYC pizza scene. To me, it screams "home made", definitely not canned. The sausage was savory and vibrant. Very fresh tasting, and not overly greasy. The same for the pepperoni. The vegetables on our pizza -- roasted broccoli and tomato -- was fresh, tasted delicious, and was done in just the right proportions. The calzone was unbelievably delicious (I ordered sausage - ricotta - meatball). What was I neutral on about Giardini? I wish our pizza box had a pizza saver since we were carrying the pie home. One one hand, a pizza saver really works when you're carrying a pie, but on the flip side, they're environmentally unfriendly, so I can't complain about this too much. What didn't I like about Giardini? Nothing. There's nothing I don't like about this place. If they were here in Midwood, we'd be going here exclusively for our pizza needs.

N

Pizza was YUM!!! Feeling like a pizza fatty! Then I saw the sicilian pie come out and wished I would have tried that one instead. Lol

R
Rob Z

Good pizza, fast service, reasonable prices. There's few authentic Italian pizzerias left in NYC. This is one. The interior is a little dated and dingy, yet they also have an outdoor area to sit, bathroom, and gumball machine.

A
Ayman Said

It was fast and easy. I got a deep dish cheese and olive and mushroom slice. Both added up to 7 dollars. Not 5 stars cause I'm cheap lol but yes it's a great place. Nice and quiet.

L
Lara Ruth Ziobro

I love this place. By the slice or by the pie - either way, I'm in. I can't explain it - the crust tastes different than traditional New York pizza. And they pride themselves on serving "Brooklyn" pizza. It's definitely not light, but it is tasty.

B
Brian Ferdman

This is a very solid slice joint. It's not a destination pizza place, per se, but if you're in the area and need a slice, this would be a good choice. I particularly enjoyed the sausage and pepperoni slice, which was pretty hearty. They do not skimp on the cheese, which is a major plus.

Great local little pizza shop in Carroll Gardens. Close to F line Carroll Street Subway stop. Thin crust, delicious cheese solid standard toppings. Your basic New York neighborhood Pizzeria.

Great pizza by the slice or pie. Haven't been here in 5 years and visited last night as I found myself back in the neighborhood. Just as good and we were allowed to stay past closing as we arrived late.

A

Kudos to Giardini for being able to whip out a vegan pie and advertising it front and center on their board. They don't have all the fake meat fixins that an all vegan pizzeria might have, but they are generous with the "cheese", kind in general, and the crust hit that ballance of thin but not soggy. Thanks guys.

W
Wallace Kolour

Packed with flavor, cheese sticks to the base of the pizza, no super crunchy bread that cuts the roof of your mouth.

W
Wesley

After going to the clown carnival known professionally as Baby Lucs, I was on a search for a better slice in the area. I found that here. First and foremost, the interior is nice, very homey, properly sized, classic Brooklyn feel. The outdoor seating is also a nice addition. But none of that REALLY matters! This is about the slice, and I must say, I’m pleasantly surprised. Maybe my taste buds were ruined by Baby Luc’s but the sauce here is super yum. Cheese is up to par and the crust is well formed. If I were to critique it, I’d say the dough was little too soft to my liking, needed some crisping in the oven. A wonderful old woman told me to next time ask for it well done. TAKE HER ADVICE!! Aside from that, I will be returning customer for sure. 76.4/100

Nothing is harder to find, but more rewarding once found than a perfect Sicilian slice of pizza. As opposed to many round pies, the square goodness of a Sicilian has so many things that can render the slice an un-chewable mess. Giardini looks to have taken this to heart, and the outcome is a damn good slice. The place where every slice of Sicilian pizza lives and dies is in the base. If the slice itself is too doughy, its like chewing through a pile of rubbery tires. Too dry, the pizza tastes like eating a stack of matzo bread without any water. Here, the slice is, doughy without being overly dense or chewy. After securing a solid base, the sauce is the next place where pizzerias have been tripped up. Too sweet, its like eating a desert or some processed can of sauce. The sauce here was very good, but a little skimpy with the sauce and cheese covering. Finally, after the dough has been tossed, and the sauce and cheese have been laid, the cooking is where the magic happens. The slice I had had a perfectly cooked crust, without any of the usual burnt edges that are common in a lot of Sicilians slices. Overall, a fairly reasonable price for the neighborhood, and the ever escalating price of slices

These guys are my top pick for a quick slice in Carroll Gardens. Sicilian, grandma, plain, and white are my favorites. A vegan option was recently added to their offerings (I haven't vetted yet). They also recently added a tent over their garden space; several patio tables are in that area & usable whatever the weather is doing. There's a few small tables and barstools inside, too. Cards accepted, cash preferred. Right across from the Carroll Gardens F/G station so it's an easy detour when you're transiting.

Not a bad pizza place on Smith Street in Brooklyn. We ordered a grandma's pie, which had a thin crust topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. It was very tasty. We shared a baked ziti, which had just the right amount of sauce and cheese. We also ordered a salad. It was not spectacular, just a regular salad with dressing. Prices were reasonable. Service was very warm and friendly.

A slice of pizza and a soft drink, that might be Just what you need. And Giardini is a good place for Just that. They offer a rich variety of pizzas, some vegan. They are tasty and delicious. And very nice people working there! A perfect place for a quick bite. They offer take away and have ATM inside. Conveniently located at the Subway station on Carroll Street.

J
James Kirshner

Good pizza, but kinda average on Brooklyn standards. Given that, their pizza should be priced better.

W

Decent pizza, quite mediocre. The game is usually on. Definitely one of those places where you can tell the specialty slices have been sitting out all day. I live a block away and in two years have probably gone four times, alwahys just on the go.

D
Dorea Reeser

I think it's great that this place has a vegan cheese option, but it wasn't very good. It had very little flavor. I would recommend it only if you needed something quick, or needed something during /after a night of drinking.

Old school NYC slice. If you're rushing down the street and you're starving this is a good solution. It's great for pizza with the kids. They have a nice outdoor dining set solution during this pandemic.

Ordered the Neapolitan Cheese Pizza via Slice app. It’s wasn’t bad. But it wasn’t good either. I ordered it while I was hungry. The first bite was very underwhelming. When hungry, I could easily finish 3 slices. I barely ate 2...which says a lot.

B

Not a fan of the new Pizza From The new owners. Buffalo chicken pizza used to be so lit.

A
Albin M

The pizza is fine. The atmosphere is nothing special, the price is a little high for what it is. Also I asked if they had a special like every other pizza place around, and they either grumbled that they did or didn't but made no attempt to clarify or even want my patronage. So, 2 stars.

H

I ordered a Sicilian Pie, they sent me a cheese pie. Called and it looks like i ordered wrong, now i have no food because this pie is much smaller. If at least they would have proposed a solution i wouldnt be upset. Everyone can make a mistake.. but this was not me.. and i called hoping they would send me at least a couple of slices so i could eat.

A

They used to be good, They must be under new management because there’s no cheese or sauce on the pizza. $3 a slice Should be not just bread and dry sauce and dry cheese, It should be a good pizza with good sauce which with cheese bubbling and bread. I give them a thumbs down,👎🏿 they used to be good in 2020, I don’t know what happened.

Won’t be coming back here pizza taste stale since it new owners. I come here to buy a pizza with me and my niece. Who repeats the order 3×2 slices a Gatorade and garlic knots. The wise guy waits until I’m sitting down eating my pizza to come over and tell me that he didn’t charge me for the Gatorade. Why repeat the order three times if you weren’t going to do what you needed to do. Walk further down Smith to the other pizza shop.

We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Although the waiter was attentive initially, after bringing our food, he disappeared and didn't check on us again. We needed to order more drinks and I had to get up to request them. We also had to ask for parmesan cheese and the bill, and I had to stand up to look for them. The pizzas were slightly overcooked, which was another negative point. Unfortunately, we don't plan to return to this restaurant.

I
Ivelis Medina

It was expensive. A regular slice of pizza, a pepperoni slice of pizza, a Arizona juice and a Brisk iced tea juice was $9.25. The pizza was cold.

S

thanks for the raw pizza delivery. when i called, the guy on the other end of the phone told me, "it's cooked nice". love the pride. never again.

j

if i could give a 0 star, i would. will never order from here again. the food was cold, the delivery was late, and the human delivering the food was incapable of following simple instructions and didn't understand english properly. terrible business plan.

N
Nick Savelev

The pizza sucked, their deliverey time is a little under an hour, and the inside of the box was completely destroyed, pizza slices everywhere, on top of all that the pizza was cold. Never eating/takeout here again!!! I've never hated pizza before, this one just doesn't deserve to be served in New York,

W
Wendy Liquet

The cheese on the lasagna was sour and the spinach roll was stuck onto the aluminum foil so you had to take it apart if you wanted to eat it. Tried to file a complaint but, I was just told that the owner wasn't in.

N

I brought pepperoni slices which the worker told me was $2.75 but I was charged $4.00 per each slice when I checked out which made my total over $11.75. Won’t ever come back again!

Do NOT order online from this place! I ordered a pie, a pepsi and a orange juice. It came to almost 30 dollars. When it came, the pie was SMALL and just enough for 1 person! They didn't include the pepsi OR the orange juice!! When I called a person got on the phone WHO COULDN'T SPEAK A WORD OF ENGLISH!! I want my money back. Do NOT go to this place!!

Sophia Clark

I ordered 2 slices and garlic knots, which tasted a little funny but I didn’t think too much of it. Unfortunately, I contracted food poisoning that I’m still coping with days later. This food must have been sitting out all day and I believe the pizza and garlic knots tasted funny because they weren’t fresh. I will not be returning.

Michael C.

Ordered the ham and ricotta calzone, they forgot to include the side of red sauce. When I went back to ask for it, they weren’t really apologetic and they kind of had attitude about it. Went home, ate it, got diarrhea. Next day, stomach still hurting. It was either the calzone itself or the red sauce. Never again.

leeann h

I’m honestly beyond disappointed in this place. It was my first time trying out food in this place and I wasn’t in the mood for pizza, but most pizza places offer different Italian foods, etc. besides pizza. I ordered a Caesar Salad for 11 dollars which is already pricey, but I open the bag after I walk out and the salad is literally just salad dressing and lettuce, not even cheese?? Are you serious? I came back to at least get some explanation and they rudely say that’s what a Caesar salad is and that they don’t have any croutons to even offer me. Only after some push back do they even think to offer me cheese, but at this point I just left because they were extremely rude and I was alone. Never coming here again, this was a waste of my money and time and I honestly want to contact my bank or something to get a refund.
