Gusto Latino Cafe Rest Brooklyn Reviews
I have gone with my partner, friends and family on different occasions, the food is delicious and they have very good customer service even until the chef is very friendly !! 100% recommended 👏👏
QUE. RICO. its so hard to find a humble spot for ceviche that's not bougie and expensive as hell. This was SO GOOD that i simply had to order a second ceviche. Got the fish ceviche. Simple spot reminds me of home in miami eating hispanic food the way its meant to. The tostones were not greasy and so delicious and crispy and warm. Rice is so good miss that flavor. Obsessed. Gobbled down.
What a fantastic lunch special. Entree with meat, rice, beans, salad, AND soup. Comes with a drink too. Very very good. The restaurant is clean and the service is friendly. Food came out fast. I would highly recommend it if you're in the area. Edit: I'm going to keep posting pictures of the lunch specials. Also, empanadas are excellent!
Exceptionally good. The staff were outstanding, showing kindness and frequently checking our table. The friendly atmosphere puts everyone at ease. Their dishes show cooking skill and good flavor. We're content with our decision to eat here.
So good, the food is so fresh and delicious. The service is very professional and efficient and helpful. As a Black woman who grew up in the US South, the food also reminds me a lot of home. Very clean and fresh and seasoned to perfection.
Amazing food. Really the best I've had ina while. Friendly service and very quick too. Good value, you definitely get what you pay for. Im writing this in the middle of eating this place is so good. Surprised they dont have a line out the door. I don't live nearby but I'll take the train in 40 minutes just to eat here again
Came in with a couple friends starving, and left fuller than ever! Highly recommend the traditional platter which comes with so much food for a reasonable price. The hot sauce also seemed to be fresh and tasted phenomenal. We can’t wait to come by again- will be getting the tres leches cake again
We stopped by this spot for dinner on a weeknight. The place was nearly empty inside, so we chose to sit outdoors—much nicer with the evening weather and the lively street vibe. It’s a hip, cool area to people-watch while you eat. Service was fine, though a bit on the slower side. We skipped appetizers and went straight to mains. I ordered the steak sandwich with chimichurri and fries, while my friend had fried pork, also served with fries. The flavors were decent, but the portions felt small for dinner. Even as someone who doesn’t eat huge portions, my sandwich still felt undersized. The fries were pretty average too, lacking seasoning.
We had visited the establishment byesterday and I wasn't totally convinced about it. (I wanted a bolon with some broth on the side and they politely refused). Nevertheless, I came today to make up my mind. The food is not what I was expecting from a hybrid Colombian/Ecuadorian place. I ordered a cafe con leche and it was watered down. How do you make weak coffee? I ordered the bolon mixto and it was ok, it was not the best bolon. I asked for a orange juice and again it was watered down. The experience was overall underwhelming. I will say the place is immaculate and the owners are attentive but from a purely latino gastronomic experience it has alot of work to do.
The food is good but the owners are straight up ignorant and have zero class. Imagine denying a customer the bathroom before ordering, knowing people have medical conditions. That’s just nasty and heartless. If someone is coming in to spend money, the least you can do is show a little human decency. The way they treat people kills the whole vibe of the place, no matter how good the food tastes. You know who’s coming to just use your bathroom and not buy anything! Lighten up!!!
Let’s start off by saying I had to ask to wipe down the table for a dine-in experience. She questioned why like it’s obvious dirty and greasy stain marks. I had to get up, get my own menus, ask for napkins (only 3 pieces given), extra ketchup. However I only ordered for my child. I didn’t want to bother getting up and order anything else for myself. Lady / owner seemed bothered by me constantly coming up to the counter. Other people came in after I ordered and she was happy to attend them and bring them menus. I ordered only chicken fingers, fries, lemonade & a hot chocolate she put it in a to go cup. Unless they don’t have any coffee mugs idk why she put it in a to go cup, if I was dinning in. But idk maybe she just wasn’t in the mood to attend me and my child. However still unacceptable.
But I got a meat empanada with chicken and the lady's attitude was horrible I asked for sauces because she was not going to give me any when I saw the sauce almost empty and the lady with a bad attitude do not go to that place because the lady will look at you with a brave face just for asking for an empanada do not go horrible!
