Gyro Cafe Brooklyn Reviews
I usually come here for gyro BUT you NEED to try their cookies. Yes, their cookies. They recently launched this new cookie line with four different flavors and it’s soooo good. Dinner and dessert all in one spot lol
I think they only have a B health grade because I BE enjoying their food when I do my laundry next door lol, solid gyros and baklava here!
Amazing staff and exceptional food. My go to spot, highly recommend
The lamb gyro nanwich I had was very big. Kind of unwieldy to eat with out meat and stuff spilling out. I like it.
I had a great falafel naan wrap. I watched a staff member make the falafel fresh in front of me. All of the toppings and sauces offered were delicious, I got onions, cucumbers, and other various pickles as well as white and mango sauces. A delicious and affordable meal.
Tasted amazing. Best gyro platter in the area imo. Alr i change my mind. Mid. Corner town which is like 50 steps from there has better chicken over rice.
I order from gyro cafe using uber eats all the time and they never disappoint. The food is always fresh and tastes great. My go to are the lamb gyro pita wrap and baklava.
I had a wonderful experience here! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They helped me out with a small mistake without any fuss and even treated us to dessert, which was such a kind gesture and completely unexpected. Their customer service truly went above and beyond. I’ll definitely be ordering here again—highly recommend!
The guys working the counter were inconsistent, one struggled to understand my request, the other jumped in to help. Ordered a combo of lamb gyro and falafel over salad, mixed veg, and some pickled peppers. All super yummy. 6:30 on a Saturday night, all seats are empty, I think most of the business is takeout. I'm not a fan of distracting TV while I eat, and watching an auction of $1 million+ cars is confusing, like who watches this, certainly few of the people that might be able to participate in such an auction. Wish I could just read, in the quiet....
If u see people filling in here just kno u need to get right behind them! Fresh, well seasoned and filling. I'd recommend anything but the fried chicken, it just sits there. So I went back again after not having been in some time... I got the lamb chops this time... omg. The flavor the chargrilled bits.. they're so good! And I can't stress to you enough about the Curry lamb!!🤤🤤🤤 #ForkJab all thru this🤌🏾
It was our first time here. We got chicken shawarma platter. It came with fragrant rice, salad, hummus, pickles and hot and white sauces. You can add sauces and toppings as per your taste. Super friendly staff. Good portion size and delicious food. Amazing baklavas! The best one I have had in my life!! Will surely be back.
Glad there is a new gyro place in the area. Decided to give it a try & was surprised so glad we tried this place. We sampled alot of items & overall all the staples were really great we enjoyed everything the sauce & hummus could have been better but not bad at all the fish it was dry & bland but everything else was so good that it really didn't matter much am definitely gonna be back there when ever I am around
For years, Gyro Cafe has been my go-to spot for delivery when I'm craving Halal. Sadly, I have to find a new spot. I just ordered dinner delivery, including my favorite dish: Large Gyro Platter with white and hot sauce. It was more expensive than ever, but I knew it was worth it. What I received was a Chicken Platter with BBQ sauce. I can't even eat it! Now, I could, of course, forgive a one-time mistake (even though that's a HUGE mistake), but as I attempted to pick some items out of the dish that I could salvage, I realized they changed their rice! And they changed their lettuce! Even if the meat and sauce had been correct, the food is no longer the same. Some people might love what the changes, but they're not for me. I'm sad and disappointed. Time to look for a new go-to.
Edit: I'll edit once more and give another star if they get specials or the price right but $11 for a mix pita is wild 1a is too early to close for a halal place. 2a so you can go after coming home Food is really good especially the mango sauce.
Some time ago, I gave this place a 9/10 and recommended it, no longer. Now a one. I ordered on the phone and specifically asked for hummus and it was not provided. The salad was bad, like really stale. The meat was actually ok, but over all, today was just not a good experience. Over the last year, they have increased the price and now decreased the quality of the food. I don’t know if you can see in the photo, but the cucumber looks old. They also charge tax on cash now. The people are nice, no doubt about that, but it doesn’t really matter when the food isn’t good. Last time I came here. Also, I told them to put all the sauces, they forgot to put in the hot sauce. Ok came back again, my mom said that the kebob sandwich was amazing, which brang it back up to a 3, reluctantly.
I usually just eat and stay quiet even if the food is bad but this time i cant let it slide. Wasted my 50dollars. They also charged extra on credit card. The food is absolutely shit.
The worst food I ever ate. Service were really poor and they charges extra on credit cards , debit cards also. Definitely giving 0 stars.
I ordered a chicken gyro in pita bread and two chicken over rice during my recent visit. I noticed the taste has changed significantly from previous experiences. The chicken was undercooked and lacked flavor, which made the overall meal unsatisfying. I hope the restaurant can improve the quality and consistency of their food.
