Hasenstüble Brooklyn Reviews
Great place for a beer and games. Our server was amazing and had us laughing. The beers were awesome. Definitely going back...
New spot in the neighborhood. Fully commits to its German beer haus theme with its decor consisting of thick dark wooden trim on white plaster, a few rows of simple bench/table combos, even a pair of antler chandeliers. I had the hot mulled apple cider which was not overloaded with cider as many spiked ciders can be. Welcome to the neighborhood! Update: I was given a free sausage due to a banking error in my favor and as a result I owe this place a blood oath of fealty Post Covid update: Thank the beer and sausage gods that this place survived the shut down and is back up and running. The sausages are flavorful and girthy, the beer is crisp and flows like water. Proof positive that we are no longer on the darkest timeline.
Good amount of vegan and vegetarian options. They have 4 vegan sausages to choose from, which is exceptional. All four are good. The potato pancakes and potato salad are both on point. Great beer selection. They even have some of my Munich Oktoberfest favorites on tap.
Authentic German beer garden that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Cozy comfy communal tables are great for socializing with friends and meeting new ones. Beer menu has a quality selection of interesting German beers with complex & delicious layers of flavor as well as local craft brews. The food menu is simple but tasty. We tried the zucchini pancakes and potato pancakes that were equally delicious. This vegetarian appreciated the vegan sausage offerings. Great addition to the neighborhood!
Great place for a refreshing beer and delicious food. I recommend getting all the toppings on the sausages. One is a snack and two are a meal. Their pretzels are also good. I get extra to heat up at home later. They have a nice little outdoor space.
Found this gem while looking for a chill spot on a Friday night.. Delicious food and great assortment of beers. Can't wait to come back. 2+ yrs later, still one of our favorite spots.

Great beer selection and the home made pretzels were so warm and so good. A really cool beer hall experience.

I love the Stube, my favorite neighborhood spot. Cameron is a delight, great at making a big beer list more understandable. Best bar fries around, phenomenal beer, and a delightful vibe.
Really nice beer selection, love the cheese sausage. Great neighborhood spot and easy to have the dog outside

This is a good Bier joint. Nice neighborhood place in Brooklyn to wind down, hold a meet up with friends or to just chill. The service is friendly. The Beers are good and the food will please. Chess boards on the sidewalk tables. You can people watch as the vibrant diverse neighborhood flows by.
Nice place to have a drink with friends. Nice welcoming decor and a huge selection of beers and non alcoholic beverages. The food menu is very limited. Food is not so tasty, just okay. The apple strudel is good. They really need to improve their food menu and add some more varieties.

Great traditional German beer selection, excellent brats and other regional fare. Family friendly, rustic atmosphere and mixed clientele.

What’s not to love. Great beer choices! Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and efficient bartender. Update 4/30 - I used to love this place, but there’s a new bartender who just wasn’t friendly at all. I almost left, but after walking there, I really wanted a cold beer. $12 with a tip and attitude. I don’t think so.

slow and dismissive service. one bartender, waited 20 mins to order and was ignored the whole time. just wound up leaving. bunch of kids running around w their parents too which was a weird vibe. would not recommend or come back.
I am so sorry to post this review. Tonight my family met up at what we thought is our new neighborhood bar. We had a few rounds of beer. We joined the trivia night. And because we are kosher-eating Jews, which is common in this area, I asked a staff member (which I only learned later was the trivia coordinator) if I could order pizza to eat outside, as I have done in other places around this neighborhood, and he said no problem. When the pizza arrived, two of our party went outside to take our turns eating food…a server came outside and told us to stop. Even when I explained what happened, and that the trivia coordinator told us we could eat our Kosher food outside, the server insisted we stop immediately. When we kept saying we wanted to continued the trivia and order more drinks, he finally went in and brought out the bartender who acted cold to us (after buying three rounds of drinks for our group with a potential for more). All in all, I am not sure why - if they bring in a trivia coordinator who makes a statement to us - that they wouldn’t just have the decency to back it up that one time and welcome us as customers… but instead make us embarrassed in front of their entire outside crowd!? Well, I am never going there again. And I will tell everyone in my neighborhood about how we were treated. This area has so many kosher Jews. It’s just not okay how we felt being shamed for the good faith we had when being told by someone we couldn’t know was an outside trivia coordinator that this was okay. We are always be try careful to not overstep bounds of proprietors.
Used to frequent this place. It’s really gone downhill over the last year. The service is really bad, the bartenders seem upset you even dare communicate with them about the existence of beer. Prepare to get ripped upon ordering. The lightning is awful, there’s always used glasses everywhere, and they don’t seem to wipe down the tables, which is why there’s probably roaches crawling around and getting better service than the customers. Trivia night is a drag as well, only the trivia people seem to get service that day. Food would be okay but it’s all served on paper plates, I noticed the hot cabbage burning right through it. It was a cool neighborhood spot before, seems like everyone who works there hates the neighborhood now. Try other spots.
If you can get service it’s really good beer (when their taps are working). We were going pretty regularly for trivia, but at this point every server we’ve ever had here has made it feel like a giant imposition to serve you beer, the only thing you’re asking of them. If you go to the bar to finally get service, you will be sent back to your table. It can take upwards of 45+ minutes. We will not be returning.
I live locally and have loved coming to this bar with friends but service has dropped off here, severely. I never write reviews for places but after seeing so many negative reviews from the past month on here (!!) I’ve decided to chime in. The bartender here is extremely rude and is harming this business's reputation. Just check the other numerous reviews! Even worse, there seems to be no acknowledgement or action taken by management to mediate. He gives poor service, has a bad attitude towards guests just trying to order and locals can see business is getting slower and slower. The service has typically been slow here even when the venue is “empty” but I come back because I like to support local businesses. There’s normally one cook in the kitchen and one bartender. They have some games in the back and during warmer weather they set out tables and chairs in front. Yes it’s a little pricey for the food and drinks. It could be cleaner and better maintained and I have seen some bugs crawling around. I heard trivia night is fun. I’m only going to comment on what I’d like to see as someone who enjoyed coming here in the past: please just be kind to your customers. Please try to communicate if you think it’ll take a little extra time for orders because that’s what guest hospitality is about. Please listen to those in the community who are offering feedback regarding the change in service here! For management: remember that the way that you respond to the community's negative feedback affects the relationship with your customers. I hope something changes because right now I'm steering clear.
Short and sweet: flavorful food menu that keeps expanding after feedback, scattered and inconsistent service for the 5 years I’ve gone, and flawless vibes. I just wish it could reach the levels I have wanted since 2020! I know they can do it but they just need better staffing and just being consistent. I will keep coming back no matter what due to their amazing beer and just hope that it’ll get better. Prost! Update 4 months later: This place still is impossible with the electronic payment always offline or not charged, and always the slowest experience. It’s a shame due to the great qualities otherwise. The bartender was insanely rude and corrected us during our order. I hate to say it, but I would skip coming here until further notice.
The worst service I have ever experienced. After forty minutes of waiting and asking and being told the sit at our tables to place an order they finally came, took my girlfriend’s order, I started placing mine ordering a beer and food and halfway through he put his finger up and walked away without a word. I had no idea if he got my order or not. He did bring my beer but my food never game. When he dropped off some other drinks nearby I tried to get his attention and he blatantly ignored me. All I wanted to do what verify he got he the half of the order I was able to say before he walked away abruptly and add the fries i wanted to order he never gave me a chance to order. He just ignored me intentionally. My girlfriend’s sandwich was brought 15 mins later and mine never came. I could never get him to listen to me the rest of the night. It was just pretty blatantly rude. It’s one thing to be busy it’s another thing to actively ignore. I’m mad I’m this annoyed.
This was my first time coming to this place after seeing it when walking around. When asked where the server would prefer I sit I was met with an eye roll and a sigh. After he begrudgingly sat me at a table I was passed over for over 20 minutes before I just stood up and left. He passed across me at least five times during that period and each time I tried to make eye contact with no avail. I was really excited to see what the beer was like but sadly no such luck. Even the customers next to me were shocked at how I had been treated
