Still thinking about that bitter greens salad ohmygoddddd everything is so gooooood
Atmosphere 10/10 Service 10/10 Burger 10/10 French Toast 10/10 Blood Mary 10/10 Fries 8/10 (something weird with the oil maybe?) Amazing place, highly recommend. Great bartender Kevin.
Is there a better burger? Or a better wine list? I am not sure but I don't like the odds. Why risk it? Visit Inga's, where you ought to have the celery victor, swordfish salad, duck croquettes, and, of course, the burger. The service is top notch, the whole staff is friendly, and I would come here regularly even if I did not live nearby. Enjoy!
Really delicious food, friendly staff, and consistent! I come here every time I am in NY (once per quarter) and get their burger!
Excellent cheeseburger - one of the best in the city. Great martinis. Local scene. The other mains on the menu are good, but not as notable. Appetizers are terrific.
Love Inga's, such a great addition to the neighborhood. Couple of misses on service when they first opened but that's par for the course with any new restaurant. The fact that they take brunch reservations is a game changer, so many places don't. The staff are lovely, the burger is great, and the martini is EXCELLENT.
The Ingas bar is a local Brooklyn Heights restaurant. It's laid back and chill but with a warm, upscale vibe. We had their cheese burger and fries which was delicious. Not all burgers are created equal. We also shared the Frisse-Lardon salad... Omg... It was all that and a salad too!!! They also have a nice selection of wine for my husband and a nice selection of alcohol free choices for me... The phony negroni is epic with its bitter flavor.. such a delight. The staff is helpful and inviting. It's one of our local favorites for good reason.
The burger is life changing. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Inga’s has a charming ambience in a quintessential prewar townhouse. I was happy to get a seat at the bar because it’s usually quite busy and I now I can understand why!
What a surprise! Amazing food! Great service. Atmosphere is only OK - but truly remarkable food! The fried skate appetizer was out of this world.
Magical place. Friendly and warm with attentive service and delicious food. Got home and immediately made another reservation. Reminds me of how NY used to be. A perfect neighborhood spot.
Ingas has become our go to neighborhood spot for dinner. Their burger is one of the best in the city! Service is always great and food is exceptional.
Ingas Bar’s cheeseburger ranks in the top spot as one of the best in the city. Cocktails are creative and on equal footing with the food. Super charming, unassuming hang-out place! They work for you.
A wonderful new addition to Brooklyn Heights! The burger is amazing… as everyone says. The mushroom polenta is a winner, too. Staff is attentive and chef is lovely! Highly recommend!
This was such a delightful surprise. Lovely place. Gorgeous food. Hands down the best chocolate mousse I've ever had. I will absolutely be back.
Get the burger. Try the house martini if you like martinis. If you don’t, any of the reds are a great choice. The pickled veggies are special. Vibe is amazing. Staff excellent. Enjoy.
We love this place! It’s awesome for a small group on a week night
Inga's is a cozy, intimate gem tucked away on a quiet street in the Heights. Service is impeccable each time I have been. Their burger and celery victor are musts. An absolutely wonderful addition to the neighborhood.
Amazing food! Great vine. Pretty busy therefore not super quiet.
Best dinner spot in the neighborhood. Menu rotates in new items often, brunch is great too
Lovely diner! We spent a very great moment. Thanks for your warm welcoming
What a fanstic place. If I lived in the surroundings, I’d be a regular. Food is very good (we had 4 different items that were all great) and the vibe is super cool. Works very well for both a date and a dinner with friends. Small remark: The lager beer I had (second one on the list) was super bitter, didn’t really enjoy that one.:)
Can not pick a fave off the menu. The crowned king is the burger, but everything else is unbelievable too!!!!!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, perfect for catching up with friends or simply enjoying a night out. The cocktails were nothing short of amazing. Each drink was crafted with care and creativity, making it a delightful experience for the taste buds. The staff's knowledge and passion for their craft truly shone through, and they were more than happy to make recommendations based on our preferences. I would highly recommend Ingas Bar to anyone visiting Brooklyn. It's a place where the ambiance, drinks, and staff all come together to create a wonderful experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
Such a cute place. Food for brunch was delicious! Had chilequiles, omelette with crab and one without, and the eggs Benny. All great. Bloody Mary and Mimosas to perfection. And the service was the friendliest you could ask for! Would definitely recommend.
Best restaurant in NY from someone who has been here his whole life.
I've been to Inga's numerous times! It's always a huge hit. It's a small menu but the apps are always incredible. Right now they have an incredible fried deviled egg! The burrata and cold focaccia was truly bar none. I always love the burger. They recently re-did the interior with sound proof walls and the atmosphere is 100% better and you can actually talk with your table guests. Awesome place and staff. It's not cheap but it's a great spot!
Absolutely FABULOUS! A charming restaurant with incredible food and service. The Chestnut Soup will forever remain in my memory as one of the best soups I’ve ever tasted!
Oh my goodness! Inga's is absolutely wonderful. My fiance and I were looking for an intimate, cozy neighborhood spot for an after party post-DUMBO wedding. Let me tell you, we made the best choice!!! Sean is the best and his staff is just incredible. We had an array of dishes available throughout the event - the duck croquettes, sliders, and muffaletta sandwiches were stand outs. Our guests will not stop raving about it and already said they are heading there for dinner in the next few weeks. Seriously, great vibe and great food. Whether its a seat at the bar for cocktails or a full meal, everything was perfect in this gastropub setting that was made for brownstone Brooklyn. It ended the best night of our lives in the best way. Thank you Sean and team!!!
First time at Ingas and definitely not the last. Last night we were walking around Brooklyn Heights with some visiting friends and on a whim stopped in to see if they had any tables. They were booked solid and that’s where the story would end in 99% of the restaurants. Not here. The host tried hard to fit us in, and sadly could only find three seats at the bar. No worries, we took a shot and it didn’t work out, so off we went to see if nearby Noodle Pudding had a table. Halfway down the block, the host called out to us. He had run out of the restaurant to tell us he had come up with a way we could be seated before the next reservation. What a nice guy to go above and beyond like that. That is the whole tone of the place, by the way. We also had the nicest waitress, and their whole staff just seems happy to work there and happy that you are there. Refreshing change from some places. That alone is worth the five stars, but wait, the ambience is great, with their using the ground floor of a typical Brooklyn Heights brownstone (or two) for that great back-in-time feeling, and the food was excellent. A small, excellently curated menu with delicious apps (the Bulgogi Hanger steak- try it) and main courses. The mussels were delicious, and their famous cheeseburger is worth the raves. Great wine and beer list, by the way. We missed the pork chop - next time. And we will be back to this gem.
Such a lovely spot. Food was delicious, ambience and service was great. Highly recommended if you are looking for a low key but elevated brunch spot!
Inga’s Bar does not serve bar food, really, despite the name and despite the cheeseburger on its menu — a very good and unpretentious one, on a soft toasted bun with white onions, crisp dill pickles, sweet bread-and-butter pickles and a stack of two pressed beef patties, each in its own shiny orange sheath of melted American cheese. You wouldn’t think it was out of place in the kind of tavern where mugs are kept in a freezer below the beer taps and the food is served in plastic baskets, unless you knew that the pickles are made on site. OK, the dark, from-scratch fries with freshly whisked mayonnaise might give the game away, too.
First time here and honestly came in with somewhat low expectations due to small bar style menu and reviews. I was so wrong. Ingas Bar has a unique menu with colorful new ingredients that aren’t typically seen in any restaurant. The ingredients are simply presented yet every dish is extremely balanced and well thought out. Server was very friendly and helpful. I felt noise level was fine (this is more bar environment with more traditional dining sitting next to it). The noise complaints are a little overstated as this restaurant is trying to set that type of vibe/interior/environment on purpose which I thoroughly enjoyed (from the type of plates, dish wear, and cutlery; pub like dining). This place is a 10/10 and I cannot recommend it enough!
This place hasn’t been open very long and I have been no less than 7 times. The burger is one of the best I have ever had in my entire life, should be on a New York top list for sure, and they do not skimp on the fries. I literally tear up at the deliciousness of the celery victor salad. Other favorites (when they are on the menu) include the mussels, the swordfish salad and the peach salad. They always have amazing wine options and we always have supreme service from the staff. I would come here once a week if I could.
A neighborhood gem. I love it here - food is excellent and so is the vibe. The menu changes frequently so there’s always something new to try!
Inga's Bar in Brooklyn Heights is a fantastic brunch spot offering a delicious variety of dishes. From classic options like chilaquiles and omelettes to more unique fare like the morel Benedict and Kentucky hot brown with turkey, there's something to satisfy every craving. They also boast a great selection of cocktails and attentive service in a lovely ambience. Definitely worth checking out!
Really loved my experience here on the double date. There are some unique options and quite a good variety. Everything was tasty. Atmosphere great as well. We had great service.
I came here by myself, sat at the bar and asked about their wines as I was curious about them. The manager, Edgar, although not a sommelier, was so kind, fun and knowledgeable, he took the time to share his deep knowledge not just about the wines offered, but also about the new ‘natural wines, world. I ended up trying three of them, all amazing wines. I have to say the food was the highlight thought, because it was just perfect. I had the liver mouse and the short rib. Both to die for. It was a random Wednesday evening and the restaurant was lively with fun people having a good time. I will he coming back as the burger is a must-try menu item. Plus I’ll need to take a pic of such a beautiful and cozy place. A true gem!
Phenomenal gem of a restaurant and bar in Brooklyn Heights. After a mixed first experience, the manager, reached out me via email to give them another shot as a complimentary gift. I have never heard or experienced that before. Speaks so highly of how they take customer reviews and feedback very seriously. Safe to say it was well worth the second visit. I'll be back again and again. I thoroughly enjoyed the short rib and mushroom pasta. They were both delicious. The quality of the service, the ambience, and overall experience was 10/10 for me. As a native to this neighborhood, I couldn't be happier about this establishment opening up.
I had the toast with mushrooms and it was so incredible. ambiance is timeless and dreamy, I felt like I could have been anywhere, London, France or just a quaint neighborhood in Brooklyn. the tender lettuce salad had no right being that flavorful as well. service was warm and chÍc.
An unforgettable experience. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful birthday touches, everything felt genuine and full of care. The team and the restaurant owners truly made me feel special. The meal was exquisite, the halibut with parsnip purée and lobster reduction was perfectly balanced, and the onion soup to start was comforting and flavorful. The dessert was the perfect ending, gently confirming the sweetness of the entire experience. A place with heart, and I will definitely be back
My boyfriend and I visited Inga's on the Sunday after Valentine's Day and loved every moment of our dinner! We live down in Cobble Hill so the 20 min walk was easy and I loved approaching this beautiful warmly lit corner restaurant on a cold blustery night. I had made the reservation a few week prior and we were greeted and seated almost immediately at a little two top. I remarked on how impressive the acoustics were for an open dining room with intimate tables and was grateful the music wasn't too loud so we could hear each other (though the music I did catch was pretty cool). The mixed vintage decor and antique light features add to the nostalgic impression that you're being hosted in someone's dining room. We started with cocktails: I ordered the martini and was very happy with it as a perpetual dirty gin martini lover and my boyfriend can't remember what he ordered, but it was also enjoyed. We had the scallop crudo, poached shrimp, and octopus to start, all of which we loved (the shrimp with the green curry aioli was my favorite). And we shared the Guinness short rib with a side of fries--also so good and every texture was on point! Next time we'll try to save room for that chocolate cake I've seen photos of online and to also try out what looks like to be a great wine list. We also want to have lunch at the bar and order the burger! We left Inga's with a soft snow falling outside and I realized we were on Cranberry Street where Cher's family in Moonstruck is supposed to live. We wandered to the water feeling very lucky to be in love and alive in this amazing city with such amazing food.
We went for brunch and had the best Bloody Marys we'd ever had, and the mushrooms & eggs dish was perfect. The service was great as well; very attentive & efficient. Excellent atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
This place is a true escape. A warm, welcoming atmosphere where time slows down and you’re invited to truly enjoy the moment. The food is outstanding. Refined, flavorful, and crafted with real passion. Every detail feels intentional, from the dishes to the genuine kindness of the staff. A beautiful pause from fast-paced life. Highly recommended.
We had one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Everything we had was delicious. The wine list was also great, and the service was incredibly attentive. Can't recommend this place enough. The poached pear dessert was heavenly. Can't wait to go back!
A cozy, old-school New York-style tavern with a great burger. But it's way better than Red Hook tavern and not nearly as hard to get a reservation! Couldn't recommend this place enough.
Dinner at Ingas Bar was lovely! It wasn't perfect, but I loved the coziness of the restaurant and food was overall fantastic. It will definitely be a go to spot in our neighborhood. The good: gem salad, octopus, burger, and the poached pear dessert (which I think might be a seasonal item). The octopus was amazing - it may have been my favorite octopus dish I've ever tried. Not the best: the roasted chicken was too salty for me. I would skip this item. Service wasn't bad but it wasn't the best. It was fast/efficient but the way our server put down our starters felt off (like I wasn't sure if they wanted me to take the plate from their hands or if they were going to put it down) and they seemed kind of annoyed. It was a packed and busy restaurant so I get it.
I came here for the first time for brunch (before heading over to St. Ann’s Warehouse for a show). We wanted to avoid the tourist spots near the waterfront. This was the perfect spot. The atmosphere was cosy and lively. The food and drinks were wonderful-highly recommend the bitter leaf salad and Brooklyn daisy cocktail. What made this experience stand apart was the excellent service. Our server, Cassidy was friendly and attentive. Now I have to go back for dinner!! Highly recommend.
I love this place! Reliably good. The food is solid, and the atmosphere is amazing. Perfect place to bring your parents. Perfect place for a nice birthday dinner. Perfect place for a cheeky little date. So versatile!!! Dark wood, beautiful bar, nice servers, dim lighting, beautiful space on the most perfect block in Bk heights. Went on a date here with someone new I was seeing....and we may have proceeded to have the best night ever!!!!!! Ingas got us off on the RIGHT foot. Muahaha
Inga’s is the perfect middle ground between fine dining and a classic American bar. The decor is effortlessly cool with vintage prints lining the walls. The space is open, with a large dining room and a semi-secluded bar area towards the back. Tables in the dining room are quite cozy, so prepare to be close to your neighbors. Moody lighting and votive candles add to the intimate feel. The food is delicious, boasting unexpectedly complex flavors without being pretentious. We shared a bunch of small plates, two entrees, and a dessert (Beef Tartare, Fluke Crudo, Agnolotti, Duck Breast, Steak Au Poivre and Olive Oil Cake). The agnolotti with butternut squash and hazelnuts may be seasonal but if it is on the menu when you go, it’s a MUST. Literally to die for. Highly recommend Inga’s if you’re looking for a spot to grab dinner in Brooklyn Heights.
Our third visit here, and the food and atmosphere never disappoint. With 4 of us coming, we make an early reservation (they had no tables from 6:30-9:30!). We were greeted warmly by the hostess and had a round of wines (nice selections by the glass). The tomato toast appetizer was a crisp and refreshing way to start off our meal. We ordered the halibut (tender, juicy, & flavorful over a bed of corn, kidney beans and tomatoes) and chicken schnitzel (surprisingly tender chicken - these are so easy to overcook!). Both dishes were fantastic! We finished with their homemade key lime pie, a favorite of ours, and I think the best in Brooklyn. Inga's Bar has become a wonderful local restaurant we have no trouble recommending or bringing good friends to. Well done!
Came across Inga’s walking around the neighborhood one evening and came back on a Tuesday night. It’s generally packed on the weekends, but took a chance and we were able to get a table. There was a wait soon after though. Everything was, simply, fantastic. The manager Edgar was incredibly kind and friendly and took special care of us. All of the food was incredible, with special shout outs to the mortadella and the chicken liver mousse (unfortunately this was gone too fast before I could get a picture). The cocktails were also delicious. Could not recommend this place enough. We can’t wait to come back!
Local spot for us in the neighborhood, we used to go here when it was still Jack the Horse tavern. I feel like the new owners and chef are still trying to strike the right tone here. There is a lot to like. I think overall the portions are smaller than they should be, everything seems just slightly overpriced. However everything is good from the brunch food to the dinner food options. When they very first opened we went for dinner and were disappointed with the lack of menu options. But now they’ve added more options and it seems like there’s a lot more to choose from. I recommend the white gazpacho, the hamachi off of the current menu. Focaccia with ricotta was good especially if you pile the pickled fruit on top with the cheese altogether, but I think its an overpriced dish. We definitely will keep coming here and seeing how the menu options change with time. The bar is my favorite part of the restaurant just with how classic it feels although the barstools could be more comfy for sure.
One of the best burgers in the hood / NYC. Henry Public will always be the 🐐 burger, but this is a close second. Great starters, love the focus on the classic cocktails, good beer on tap. Can’t ask for much more out of a neighborhood spot
The food was meh. The service was extraordinary. I dunno. I’m a food snob so it’s hard for me to get excited these days. The pasta was too aldente and the burger was too underdone. I like my steaks rare, I like my burgers, thin, caramelized and crispy.
Beautiful location and fine food, there is only one problem - the noise. The insufferable speakers play loud music that make it unable to hear your dinner mates. People talk louder and louder as the music gets turned up - it’s a vicious cycle. Would definitely not recommend eating here if you value your hearing.
Very cozy spot in Brooklyn heights with great food. We came around 4pm and sat at the bar. Service was a bit spotty but got better later on. Drinks were average to below average but the food was quite stellar. The chorizo clams and mortadella was divine.
Went to Ingas for the first time. Very lively, very loud. Great place for young people. The appetizers were wonderful (duck fat potatoes, fennel salad); main courses mediocre (cheeseburger, pork shoulder). Service: attentive.
Great local neighborhood restaurant with a really nice bar. They make really good cocktails and they have Guinness! The food is delicious and the place is kid friendly. The cheeseburger is a really big hit for something quick and easy. Comes with fries.
Tasty food—creative but classic and flavorful—that was very pretty too. Had to take off a star for ambiance; Ingas was playing loud trance/synth music when we went for dinner last night. Hard to hear dinner companions, someone got a headache, they said they would turn it down and if it they did, it was imperceptible. We cut our Ingas night short as a result and went somewhere else for dessert. The setting is so cute, all they need is some normal dinner party music lol.
I actually really loved my experience. The space was quaint cozy and romantic. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. I’m giving it 4 instead of 5 because I think it’s just a tad overpriced. The deviled eggs for example though it was delicious, was $14 and just one egg cut in half. I’m sure it’s because of the bacalao topping? But it’s not like it’s imported fresh uni or anything. $7 for half a boiled egg with fish topping, we both laughed when they served us the plate. $24 Pasta was…good, just kinda tiny also. A vodka on the rocks was $11 (great!), cheapest mezcal on the rocks was $14 (meh). Still lovely spot. Just get ready to spend a few $$$ for a light meal
The only thing stopping me from giving this 5 stars is the price. Extremely overpriced for the amount of food provided. The mushroom tartine is ONE piece of toast for $21…
Great burger, slightly overpriced for what it was, but that's not surprising given the neighborhood location. A solid meal all around, wouldn't travel far out of way to visit. If you're in the area, definitely give it a shot.
Recently celebrated my birthday there and the staff was super accommodating as i had many friends coming and going. The restaurant has a good wine and cocktail menu. I am more of a wine person but i heard around the table that the bartender made good cocktails. Some ordered off the list and some asked for the classics such as dirty martini. The food was delicious. We nearly ordered everything off of it. One thing to note: turns out i was not a fan of mortadella and the appetizer had a LOT of mortadella which is a type of cured meat. The chocolate cake was also very tasty 👌🏼
Absolutely fantastic food and wine in a warm and cozy space. We loved every dish and the service was friendly and well-paced. The only drawback to this spot is the noise level. Tin ceilings, no soundproofing, and loud-ish music with a large crowd meant I often couldn’t hear my date across the table from me. I’m hopeful management can address this issue because besides that, it was just stellar. Compliments to the chef and owners.
The burger was delicious but the hostess/waitress had a MAJOR attitude and had no qualms about showing it. Saw a few comments about a rude host so it must be a personality trait.
The music is loud and so people end up shouting in order to have a conversation. Multiply that by 12 or so tables and you end up with an absolutely deafening and sensory overwhelming restaurant. The pork shoulder is delicious but the service could be more attentive. We run out of water pretty early in the meal and did not get a refill—our bottle of water was simply taken away. The menu is somewhat limited and I wish they had a couple more choices of desert. The location is charming and I hope the ambiance and service improve! I’ll happily return then.
Brunch was off today. Got the egg sandwich with pastrami. The pastrami was put on the griddle and brown and cooked like a well done roast beef. Usually love this place but brunch was way off today
We've been there three times and while the place is über-charming and the service we've received was equally as warm and charming, the menu is lacking in both variety and flavor. The execution is either ham-handed or the lightest touch possible (in both quantity and flavor). The burger is decent but you can trip over a decent burger in NYC anywhere; for me, there's nothing else I've seen on the menu that I want (when you can actually find a recent menu)-and I struggled through the salad app. Also, the noise is deafening at the bar; like give-up-having-a-conversation-with-your-out-of-town-guest loud. I'm writing this review because I want them to be better despite Pete Wells's fawning review. I get it, people are thrilled that something so cute replaced Jack The Horse; they're a short and delightful walk through B'klyn Heights but it would be just magic to have the food matching the experience.
not as good as it used to be. i’ve gone 6 times now, and every time it gets more expensive and the portions smaller. the burger used to be in my top 5 in nyc, and is no longer on that list. tonight it was a pretty bland burger with tasteless pickles and very little fries. summer squash was a dollar in ingredients for 17$, and was fine. blackout cake was very good.
great vibe inside, very warm, good date spot.. Food average and overpriced. Burger for 26$ and a gamey steak at 36$.. theres better nearby
The place has a nice ambiance and the service was great, although the food was just alright other than the agnolotti.
The food was excellent but the portions were scanty . I ordered the agnolotti with butternut squash, there were maybe 5 pieces in the plate . The sauce was well prepared with hazelnut and squash . It was very small for $21 . The chicken dish was good . It was roasted and there was a fennel flavored sauce with it but there was no side dish with it , just 4 small leaves of radicchio ($29) . The dinner was good but I left hungry . The place is noisy and does not feel cozy .
$15 for a small skinny glass Bloody Mary that wasn’t great. Poached eggs and salmon was unseasoned and boring. Server came to check on us when we were about finished. The bar itself was renovated very nicely. But not worth the hype.
Nice Atmosphere, if even a little pretentious, but the food was the worst I've had in brooklyn in quite a while! I was super surprised. The beef was tough and hardly chewable. They must have great connections for all the glowing write-ups they've received.
The fettuccine was such a small portion, barely enough to feed a kid, let alone an adult. Is this where the restaurant needs to save money, by leaving people hungry? That’s a pity. Make diners happy! I made a reservation in person 2 weeks in advance and specifically asked for a table away from the entry area. Of course were seated near the entry area, there was a draft every time people entered and exited. We would have loved to stay there for a while, but ate and left. It was not cozy and uncomfortable. All staff were nice. Food was OK, nothing special.
With the exception of the burger, the food was extremely mediocre. The noise level exceeded a measured 90 dB constantly during dinner, making conversation close to impossible. The servers are professional, and make the best they can of the situation you can eat far better and far more pleasantly in Brooklyn Heights, and I recommend against this restaurant.
The burger was so rich in butter and cheese. I didn’t feel good eating it or afterwards. It was rec’d to me but I wouldn’t recommend it Server couldn’t be more unpleasant. I’ve never had a less friendly or curt server in my life. Service is always snobby. It’s a cute and good restaurant but certainly not worth the snobby servers or hosts
Really hoping the management see this review since I genuinely want this restaurant to succeed. The menu is really lacking in variety and choice of vegetarian options which I felt is not inclusive. I've heard amazing things about the burger. Being a vegetarian though that and most of the main dishes on the menu were off the cards for me and I was left with some weird dishes on the menu that require an acquired taste to enjoy. I started off with the giardinera, pickled seasonable vegetables, and olives which the waitress recommended, but it was honestly so vinegary and acidic it felt inedible. For mains I had the summer squash confit, olives and peaches in the hopes that the seasonal vegetables will really shine through. But it really was disappointing. For dessert we had a marble cake with chocolate mousse and cherries. Again the flavors for me just did not meld together and the marble cake wasn't that moist either. All in all we left disappointed and hungry even though I really wanted to love this place given it is near where I live and has everything going from it from great service to beautiful decor.
We visited this bar from curiosity, ordered few dishes and drinks. The burger itself was fine, however the bun wasn’t to my taste, and the cheese didn’t complement the dish. And the price for all of it too high in my opinion.
Good martini and cozy vibes. Worth a visit to the bar but the food is average at best with limited menu. Would be a 5 star place if they improved dinner menu and reduced 1 or 2 tables to make seating less cramped. Brunch is decent but again tiny menu with basically only eggs. Service is also lacking, took 45 mins to receive a drink during dinner service
Even though my party of three took an early, 6 o’clock reservation, the noise level was so great we gave up on conversation. The younger generation diners seemed to need to shout, making me think they have some degree of deafness. The menu offered, what were to my mind meager choices and odd pairings, and the ‘fish stew’ had more bread than fish under the watery broth and half dozen mussels and clams. I don’t plan to ever visit again, as I still have my treble hairs and can eat far better from my own larder.
The guy working front of house might be the most Ill-prepared I have ever seen. Sincerely- we had a reservation, text messages to confirm all the usual. But this person was just taking non reservations and seating then making reservations wait outside. Very disappointing- my wife and I live down the street and love wine. Just not going to be treated poorly. Don’t waste your time with the poor service and management- go down the street to any of the other restaurants that value customer service
Deafening noise, questionable hosts’ attitude, and somewhat a limited menu. Food is OK. Driving the hype, marketing the “cool,” and celebrity sighting for the simple minded don’t make great restaurants… We live nearby; we genuinely gave this restaurant two chances, and we were about to cry twice. A sad emoji here.
Had high expectations but food was below average. Restaurant looks nice but is very loud. Mortadella was nothing special. The ricotta salad had the same shaved Gouda as the mortadella and no ricotta. Burger and chocolate cake were just ok. Fries were extremely salty.
Extremely overpriced and LOUD. Was hoping for more of a cozy, winter, pub experience...instead got a cramped, fine-dining failure. The burger was tasty but because it was drenched in sauce and very salty. Is this really how the rich in brooklyn heights eat out?
