Mama's Noodle House Brooklyn Reviews
Great bowl of spicy wontons and pad thai. Top notch. Seats were super comfy. I now want chairs like that In my house lol.
This was the best beef noodle soup I’ve had in my life. Gotta try the mama noodle special. Also the spicy wontons and the hot pot fish are to die for. And the herbal tea is really fresh and bomb too. Oh and did I mention the price….you’re not gonna find anything cheaper and this high quality anywhere in NYC. The portions are mad generous and this food is straight bussin!!! People really be sleepin on this place freal freal, I’m letting y’all in on it right now, don’t sleep!!!
A real hole-in-a-wall restaurant by mom-and-pop, serving authentic Asian eats. Ordered a Basil Beef Stew Ho Fun to dine in and test the hype, 10/10 taste; I immediately ordered another to go.
Small cozy place, can sit about 7 people. Owner was nice. My friend and I had house special noodle and Hot pot fish. It was delicious! Spicy level can be adjusted. Highly recommended
The best dumpling and noodle soup in NYC! The broth is rich and very tasty. I order here at least once a week and it never disappoints.
Momma’s Noodle House is amazing! The food is delicious and comforting, and the friendly lady working in the restaurant made our visit even better. Highly recommend❤️
Cute small shop tucked away in the corner of a street. The restaurant is small maybe barely 500 sq ft but on a cold rainy day when we visited, it felt welcoming and warm. Although there are no fancy decorations nor furniture, we opted to dine in since there weren’t others when we visited. We did see multiple people coming in for take out orders. The ambiance feels like a small coffee shop/food stall with window seating but instead they serve delicious comfort Chinese food. We got: - House special Mama Noodle 10/10 - Basil Chicken Ho Fun 10/10 - Herbal Tea 10/10 Everything was so tasty here. It’s the perfect comfort food. The Mama Noodle is the best version of beef noodle soup I’ve had. I never liked how simple beef noodle soup is but this version is loaded with everything. You not only get the tender & juicy beef cube and homemade noodles - you also get curry fish balls, tofu, hard boiled eggs, topped with plenty of vegetables! It’s so good especially on a cold rainy day. The perfect dish. We wanted to try a dry noodle dish as well and the basil ho fun was delicious! One of the highlight was the house made (ground pork/shallot?) chili sauce that she gave to us along with some black vinegar. Definitely ask for some of that sauces with any order!! It tastes good on everything…. The herbal tea has the right mixture of bitter and sweet. Other places either have it too sweet or too bitter. It’s so satisfying to wash down everything with the herbal tea at the end of the meal. Before you go, don’t forget to grab some frozen house-made dumplings to cook for later. We got 30 pieces and it was only $12. The owners were very generous with the fillings. I never want to buy frozen dumplings from grocery stores anymore! You have these options: - shrimp wonton - pork dumpling - pork chive dumplings The shrimp wonton and the pork chives are my favorite!
Not a lot of seating, but the seats were comfy. The food was so yummy, I wished I lived next door. The lady was also so kind. Got three dishes and a coke for under $30!
Love this place! Small mom and pop restaurant I love their hot pot style noodle so much which I crave for frequently. They are amazing and kindest people.
Real small mom and pop noodle shop Serving up tasty food . I enjoy to support local people especially when the food is tasty and delicious.
The epitome of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. At first, this seems like it is just for take out but if you go by yourself or with a small party (less than 5), you might be lucky to eat in. Why eat in? Food is always best when eaten fresh. Take out can never compare. I went here with two friends and we were blown away by the hospitality shown by the owners and the quality of the noodle soups. This is truly a hidden gem for those who loves a good noodle soup! Eat in if you are the type who loves hole-in-the-wall spots and don't mind the atmosphere, or else just do take out.
I recently visited Mamas Noodle House with a friend and it was such a cozy and welcoming way to spend the evening. Walking in you are instantly greeted with a warm smile by the owners and provided with menus. All the food looked very good so it was hard to decide on something. On top of that the prices are very reasonable. I went with the dumpling noodle with a lemonade to drink. Besides the fact that the dumplings and noodles were so so good, a portion size for two honestly, the lemonade got me hooked. It is freshly made and served in a very cute cup and straw combo. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back for more. Thank you!!!
Mama’s is my favorite place to eat in all of New York … and maybe the whole world — go, go, go!!! Go-tos are the dumplings (made fresh in house every day), scallion pancakes, mapo tofu and minced pork noodles. And always a lemon tea :)
really good mom&pop store. We ordered the tomyum soup, hot and spicy wontons and house special noodles. They were all very tasty. I will be back to try other items from the menu. Hidden 💎
I’d be happy to upload a picture before eating everything, but I forgot this time! I’m usually pretty frugal and try to cook at home, but I never regret coming here to enjoy this amazing food. It’s so good and delicious—hard to find anything like it anywhere in the vast city of NYC. Food made with love. I’m always happy to come back! Thank you!
We stopped by here to grab a quick lunch and it was delicious! I got the chicken pad Thai and my bf got the minced pork noodles. Mine was perfect and my bf liked his as well. I didn’t expect his to have a kick but it was still good. We also got the lemon iced tea and herbal tea and I recommend both!

Went with 2 of my friends today to eat there. It was cozy and it was really nice chatting with the lady restaurant owner. The fried pork dumplings tasted really good. Will definitely be coming back
This is the BEST food I’ve ever had. I’m not even joking. Get the Shanghai noodles and hot + spicy wontons…and the scallion pancakes were sooooo crispy. I’ve just never had such an explosion of flavor with all of those dishes. Can’t wait to try more!!! Nan (she’s in charge) is the sweetest woman, she couldn’t get over how many times we yelled how good the food was as we were eating in front of her, she was laughing.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. My wife and I shared scallion pancakes, fried pork dumplings, and the Basil Beef Ho Fun. Incredible food all around, and the owner/chef is a wonderfully sweet woman. Oh and the lemonade is fantastic.
The place was nice. The lady who helped us was very nice to me despite my terrible Chinese skills (they can speak English but I wanted to try my Chinese). I went there with my sister and we got the wonton and dumplings noodle soup and the hot pot style noodle. The hot pot style noodle tasted pickled which my sister was not a fan of but that’s just taste preferences. It wasn’t that spicy but it was still good. The wontons also had shrimp in it but since I am allergic to crustaceans I couldn’t eat all of them sadly and gave them to my sister. They were still good and they were handmade which was cool. The noodles in the wonton noodle soup were soft and came with a very mild and nice soup.
The special spicy sauce on the minced pork noodle is definitely their signature dish. Pork dumplings and the mama special noodle soup are sure to be recommended. The taste is above average.
