I really enjoyed this place. I stumbled upon it on Google looking for lunch in this area. Food is good. Simple options. I however don’t like their pricing model. You pay more for the more options you have

Want a fast lunch that is decent without breaking the bank? Swing through here if you’re in the downtown Brooklyn area. They offer buffet style foods such as fried chicken, mac and cheese, lo mein, baked ziti, chicken teriyaki, etc. They also make salads too if you’re in the mood for that. They charge by the number of sides you want, but their servings are big. I’m petite and usually one side fills me up so you can imagine. The staff here are kind and hardworking. Never had to deal any issue, I order, I pay and I’m out.
Love this place, my family and I have been going to this buffet since it's original spot and it hasn't changed a bit (food wise)now the place is way nicer and although it still is a bit small at least not there is room to sit. Other than that I think that the food may be ``bland" sometimes so that the customer has the opportunity to kind of customize the food bases on what they like rather then have more complaints based on being overly seasoned or not having the right seasonings. So that when I get home with my steamy delicious food, I have a choice do I want a low sodium dish so I could stick to my diet or maybe I'll forget about my diet and add some salt, pepper garlic... ~UL.TBH.
Good food, good selection, good price. Been a reliable place to hit up, especially when looking for something quick but with a homecooked feel. Hope it can weather the pandemic. Support your local small businesses, y'all.
Most of the time, they tend to have the same selections of food, but its always good. No complaints. (Staff in the pic is really nice)
Really fresh and delicious home style meals (baked chicken, mashed potatoes, roast veggies etc) served cafe style. Amazing value and not greasy, one of the best lunch options in downtown Brooklyn.
The food is the best! Always fresh, taste is consistent and lots of variety!! I have been eating here since they were on Fulton and Flatbush! Teriyaki chicken is a signature choice!
I’m nearly 50 years old. This place has been around since I was a kid before then I love this place.
Consistently decent "home style" food served buffet-style. No gourmet pretensions here. Just hearty food in hefty portions at good prices (relative to other lunch options around). There are healthier selections like fish, and grilled or steamed veggies. I'm in and out of there in 2 minutes. Colleagues are shocked when I bring a mound of teriyaki chicken and grilled squash to my desk and learn I only paid $8 for it while they eat their $20 Cobb salads. Nice hole-in-the-wall gem if you work or go to school at the Metrotech campus.
I remember when this place was on Fulton & Flatbush across the street from Starbucks. I have to say it still is the perfect place to get take out particularly if you’re eliminating carbs from your diet. For example I usually get the steamed fish & broccoli with carrots (whiting). Their fried chicken is also worth trying. In general there is a wide variety of proteins & sides to choose from. My only criticism is that they close at 3 pm yet and still 5 stars all the way 👍

I came here last night and got the 3 items for $13.99. I got the chicken fried rice, sesame chicken, baked potatoes. Everything tasted good. Many of the items were pretty much gone and it seemed like they sell mostly chicken as a protein. I didnt see any seafood and saw what seemed to be ribs. I am not sure if the name changed as I remember going to a food spot in that area over a decade ago.
I have know about this place since 2018! I came back to work in the area and was relieved to see that the location still exists after COVID. They are definitely good! However, some things can be a hit or miss ! My coworkers love it and the staff are nice. Things are to the point in there. Definitely recommend 👍🏾
Decent affordable and tasty food...& a variety to choose from

They know me well. Be patronizing them since they were on Flatbush Ave & that's been some yrs now. My go 2 food is baked chicken breast, white rice w/ plenty juice from the chicken & sweet plantains. But they run out of white rice fast! 😮💨
Had some teriyaki chicken and noodles. It was good.

Although the food was great and services okay, however, the service personnel should have a better understanding of the English language since NYC is very cosmopolitan and a melting pot of all nationals.

Food is good, needs more beef options and green veggie options such as sauté spinach or collard greens. For the most part thr food is good with nice portions for the price.
Disgusting food. I swear worst place to eat. It's buffet style. The sour chicken tastes like it's been caked in flour with some weak lemon sauce and the meatloaf is tasteless. The only thing tolerable is the rice, very mediocre.
The food is flavorless. The menu is the same. I don't know why this is overhyped but I guess it's between this and $1 pizza or the chicken over rice carts without any sinks or bathrooms. Good luck with you stomach viruses
Went here for lunch. Similar named place on Flatbush ave and Fulton years ago. Spent 5 minutes trying to find out the price Of lunch to no avail because no prices are on display except a sign on window for soup. Large : $6.00, Small : $4.00. Figured it wouldn’t be that expensive. Got rice and chicken and broccoli. Charged me $9.50 for this fare. Chicken was desultory, broccoli nothing special and the rice was just OK. Everything, including the rice, was overly moist. Should have visited the Chinese place two doors down. Definitely will not repeat.
