Today, on January 12, 2026, my Husband and I, visited for the first time,/ living in Bay Ridge for a 35 years/ this absolutely gem within bakery- cafe shops, the real deal, Paneantico.I found there, besides absolutely delicious, fresh food and excellent service, the authentic Brooklyn spirit and family feels like atmosphere. The whole experience was unforgettable. I felt in love with this place, strongly recommend everybody to visit .Definitely be back soon.

Skip the Starbucks that is across the street and come here to get you some of the best breakfast bagel and cappuccino you can get in town. Services is friendly, ambient is cozy and pretty with details everywhere, food is abundant and diverse. Came here since I was visiting Brooklyn and I have no regrets, biggest bagels I ever seen!

Enjoyed this Bay Ridge gem. Had hot chocolates, cappuccino and milk with some sweet treats after seeing the Diker Christmas Lights (not recommended to walk). Treats were great, cocoa was more on the warm than hot side but I won't hold that against them. Delicious, especially the pistachios bars.

This is the place we go for Sunday lunch- our traditional. And it’s getting better as the service before wasn’t good. Now every time we come we got lucky to be served by Nickolas and he is the BEST! Makes us happy all the time. You can tell when someone just love what they do! Thank you Nickolas! Till next time 😊

I work near by and always see this place full! Decided to stop by and grab a quick lunch. Sandwiches are huge, definitely for two people. I was extremely satisfied!!!! Super tasty, fresh.. and one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in awhile. I got the b49 on fiber bread, and added red onion and mozzarella. Seriously phenomenal. Will be back

Had a perfect breakfast at Paneantico Bakery Cafe. Their coffee is so energizing. Ordered crumbled eggs with sausage and Swiss cheese, and sesame bagel with butter and raspberry jam. This was served in like 5 min. If in Bay ridge don’t walk by.

This place is amazing. I loved my sandwich. The sandwich I had from here was the best. Everything was fresh and nicely put together. The bread was perfectly toasted and housed the generous portions of chicken and cheese. I was delighted with the service here. The owner, Josephine, is very sweet and pleasant to deal with. They make sure to go above and beyond when it comes to ensuring customer satisfaction and quality. I highly recommend this place. I'm happy to eat from here.

When the waitress said the sandwich was huge, she wasn’t kidding. Came with my father and he had the tuna sandwich wi to the eggplant, tomato, and mozzarella cheese. I had the sandwich with grill chicken, tomatoes and mayo. Man oh man the sandwiches were so good. I loved it. I will so come again and maybe share it with someone a sandwich next time.

Paneantico is a hidden gem in the heart of Brooklyn, offering an unparalleled experience that captures the essence of classic bakeries. From the moment you walk in, the irresistible aroma invites you to a haven of freshly baked pastries, bread, and bagels. The friendly staff adds a warm touch, guiding you through a wide array of delectable options. The bagels tasting freshly made, paired with the finest cream cheese and toppings, create a taste sensation. This establishment outshines its unnamed competitor across the street, providing a nostalgic journey to the heart of old-style Brooklyn bakeries where quality and a friendly smile take precedence. Paneantico is a true classic, a testament to the authenticity of Brooklyn's culinary charm.

One of the best Italian spots in the city. Incredible sandwiches, like about 75 choices. No joke. Great hot food and the best rice balls in NYC. And they have a huge selection of bakery items, cakes, cookies coffees. Don’t miss this spot.

Great to finally discover this gem in my old neighborhood. The recommendation for the blueberry cheesecake was spot on!! Best cheesecake I have ever had!! And the heros are very meaty and filling.

Old-school Italian charm right in Bay Ridge Peaneantico Bakery gives all the cozy café vibes -- great service, delicious food, and even better prices. Lunch for two under $40? Proof you don't need to spend a lot for a solid meal.

The bakery/cafe is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. They have tables for dining in. Breakfast options include beverages, omelets, pancakes and sandwiches. Lunches and dinners are available and include various salads, appetizers and pizza. The bakery has a nice variety of bagels, bread, cookies, cakes and pastries. I ordered a layer cake with oreo cookies on top that was very good. Friendly and helpful staff.

This place has a lovely atmosphere, making it a great spot to catch up with friends. The staff is friendly and welcoming. However, if you’re a coffee enthusiast like me, who enjoys a strong, bold cup, you might find their coffee and espresso drinks a bit lacking. While the flavors are pleasant, they don’t quite pack that sharp punch that some coffee lovers crave. Overall, it’s a nice place to unwind with good company, but if you’re after a robust coffee fix, it might not fully satisfy.

Really enjoyed our visit here after cycling 40 miles with a buddy on Shore Rd. The cafe is bustling with energy. The staff seem very happy as are the customers. 😊😊 Excellent selection of pastries, breads, & desserts. 👍👍 A few things really stand out: 1) the coffee bar is top notch 2) great vibes & service 3) outdoor seating 4) reasonable prices 5) breakfast menu Surprisingly, this is one of the few bakeries that does NOT offer self seating. Waitress told us table service only after we sat outside for 15 minutes. 3.75% service fee for credit cards. Overall, it’s a wonderful neighborhood bakery cafe.

I do like that the bagels are big, although didn’t like my bacon cooked with the eggs, I prefer my bacon crispy. But for a $12 bagel sandwich, it just didn’t taste like it. I don’t even think they added any salt to the eggs. It tasted kind of bland. I do however like that they had outdoor seating, and it looked like a cool place, with a lot of baked goods. If I’m ever in the area I’d be open to trying their food again, I just thought for a cafe that they would have good breakfast sandwiches.

This had to have been the worst experience. I have ever had eating out. I'm, I do not recommend anyone going here unless you're gonna order online for grubhub, because it seems like that's where all their priority is focused, not on the people that actually come in. My God I come in there and I'm waiting almost 2030 minutes for my food after ordering it and then it comes with only one of the items and my other person I was with. Couldn't have theirs, and it still wasn't ready. And then on top of that, I take a bite into it hard old, dry.Clearly this place isn't practicing anything of fresh food.Because this was one of the worst experiences i've ever had.I do not recommend anyone going in there at all.Because if you want go in there so someone else can get their food before you even though you've been sitting in there for an hour or so like this is unacceptable for a place to practice this kind of service

Was very disappointed with the pastries we chose. A slice each of Tiramisu Cheesecake and Carrot Cake. They were both equally stale, and cream was not creamy at all. Texture of the cakes were dry and crumbly. Why were they even in the display case in that condition? Of course....they were pretty to look at....but appearances are deceiving. Paid $10.00 with tip...but I was too embarrassed to ask for a refund. I made sure I let the workers know how inedible they were. Returned everything back to them...including the bag and box they put them in. That's why I gave 1 star....they packaged them up accordingly with utensils and napkins. We even sat outside on this beautiful, sunny day. ..and quickly returned after one bite. Not a good experience at all... First and last time for us.

My wife and I were drinking coffee and walking by Paneantico when we decided to stop in to get a few things..We bought some bread and said let's get a large Lobster Tail to split....Wow..I knew it was going to be bad before I even tasted it...The little dollop of cream with the cherry on top was HARD AS A ROCK..Then when I cut it open the cream inside was like Philadelphia Cream Cheese and SOUR...This pastry had to be sitting there for days..or atleast I hope it was because if that was fresh, you need to check all your pastries. If I would have bought a box of these I would have been pissed. You people need to check the QUALITY of your products. You can't sell products that are not fresh.
