I had heard really good things about this spot and decided to go to dinner with a friend tonight. Very nice, quaint ambiance with indoor and covered area in the back. Good wine selection, yummy food that came quickly! High recommend the arancini, Caeser salad, bolognese and gnocchi! Would def come back and they have happy hour!

PHENOMENAL pasta I mean this place truly rivals the west village Italian institutions like via carota and l’artusi. The beef arancini was perfectly crispy without being too heavy. The salad was so unique and full of flavor. The pasta was fresh with perfect texture and shape. I couldn’t be happier that I live within walking distance. I love ciao Gloria and they made another hit with this one, bravo!

Had a phenomenal dinner at Pasta Night recently….a new staple for the neighborhood. The Artichoke Dip special was incredible, as was all the pasta…but the cocktails and the service brought the experience to the next level. Shout out to Christian behind the bar who is doing amazing things!

Saw this place on instagram and decided to give it a try. Glad I came with my husband because the food is amazing! We ordered the gem salad and calamari for appetizers. The salad was fresh and the calamari came with this sauce that reminded me of Combos (pretzel with the cheese inside) 10/10. For entrees we order the pesto and braised short rib pappardelle, both dishes were very tasty. We also liked the format of ordering everything at the counter before being sat, saved a lot of unnecessary time and our food came quite fast. Drinks were light and refreshing. Definitely would recommend coming here.

Me and my gals hit up Pasta Night week one of its opening and WOWEE were we oh-so-pleasantly surprised! The food was top notch Italian pasta, truly something that’s been missing from Vanderbilt Ave. The Ragu was my personal favorite, but we were all fighting over the last bites of each dish! The service was speedy and the staff was so fun and kind. Huge shout out to our host with the most, Mac, who made us feel right at home! Can’t wait to go back soon☺️

Just when you thought the food options in Prospect Heights couldn’t get better, enter: Pasta Night. Considering Pasta Night is brought to you by the minds and stomachs that gave us Ciao, Gloria, it’s no surprise everything about this fast-casual spot is so well-rounded. As someone who is already a regular, I have some authority to say that everything at Pasta Night so thought out: from the menu variety, to the fun and friendly staff, the ambiance/music down to the chairs and cutlery. The first time i walked in, I immediately felt such warmth from the staff; the staff was beyond friendly and fun (and the owner often walks around to say hi or to chat like an old friend). The staff is perfectly paired with the funky, curated playlist playing throughout the night. Beyond the various cohesive components of the restaurants, the actual food was delicious and served in mighty portions (i.e., you get your money’s worth). The dishes are classic Italian cuisine, reimagined, but not unrecognizable—think: comfort Italian with a dollop of edge. You can’t go wrong with anything, but my unsolicited recs are the carbonara, meatballs, and the pesto, then the tiramisu to close it out. Run—don’t walk—to Pasta Night.

Pasta Night is finally here, and it exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the restaurant was very minimizing, but obviously a lot of thought was put into it! The dessert was delicious, all sourced from the sister bakery, Ciao Gloria across the street! I would highly recommend visiting.

The big ragu pasta might not look like much, but it was plenty for me (and my back is enormous!) a mix of creamy sauce and rich meat with perfectly textured pasta. I’d like to try in person.

Went with a large group so we got to try a lot of dishes that we shared, and everything from the starters, mains, pastas, and dessert were so delicious, fresh and well made. Such a great vibe inside as well and the staff is really kind and attentive. Very highly recommend!

Love love love this place! Always a great vibe, with big family dinner energy; think giant plates of homemade seasonal pasta, meatballs the size of a baby’s head, and cheese-pullicious mozzarella sticks. It’s like having a gay nonna on Vanderbilt who does drag nights and makes a killer martinis. Brunch is fantastic, with all the regular hits and hot honey pizzas. Just perfect all around.

This restaurant has the absolutely best pasta I have ever tasted in NYC. I both dine in and take out. The decor is so beautiful inside, and they have a beautiful outdoor patio that I enjoy in warm weather. I have had the pesto and vodka, and they both blew me out of the water. A must try.

This is officially my new go-to Italian spot in Brooklyn. The fresh pasta dishes were both affordable and tasty, with fast, friendly service. I ordered the Caesar salad, meatballs, focaccia, butternut squash carbonara, and the vodka sauce. Every single dish was delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

The pesto pasta was just as impressive, bursting with fresh flavors that made each bite delicious. The only small letdown was that they didn’t bring bread to the table, which is usually a given at most Italian restaurants. Still, a great spot for anyone craving mouthwatering Italian!

We love Ciao Gloria and were really excited to try this new spot from the same owner. The set up is a bit odd, it's walk ins only and they will take your name for a table but won't text or call when it's ready, you have to hang out inside by the front. Once your table is ready, you order at the counter and are given a number to take to your table. If you want to order anything additional during the meal, you don't go back to the counter, you place the order with a server. Not the smoothest experience. Staff are really nice and the food is good. We enjoyed the calamari, Caesar salad and several pastas, the favorite was the cacio e pepe mafaldini. The pastas were not as good or exciting as others in the city. Desserts were fantastic, we ordered the chocolate cake, almond plum cake, pudding with cinnamon sugar syrup and fior de latte gelato

We were also informed that the restaurant needed the table back in two hours , but by then, the restaurant had started to empty out. The area was heated, but we were sitting by a door and there was a draft. We also asked our server for water, and she directed us to self-fill at the water tank, but then we saw our server give waters to two other parties of two behind us. It just rubbed us the wrong way. And there were three different boisterous families seated around us, making it hard to hear our own conversation. I understand that this place fosters a casual atmosphere, but I think some guests and servers felt a little too comfortable here, and we know to not come back for date night and just to order take out or delivery from here.

I was really disappointed in my delivery. The meal cost almost $80 and they forgot my salad. Also the vodka sauce pasta was very dry and there was hardly any sauce. I would not serve this to friends; we all agreed this was a poor example of vodka sauce pasta. I’ve gotten pasta here before and enjoyed my meal so I wonder if this was just a kitchen mishap. The portion sizes are very small for the price.

First off, you pay table service prices for what is effectively counter service. We spent 130 bucks including tip between two mains, one app and two drinks at a cashier before we even sat down. The vibe feels confused - I wish they would have just decided on either fast casual or fine dining and just leaned into it and not have tried to do both. Beyond that, we were 3 people and got squeezed into a small 2 top with a stool. And sadly, the food was aggressively mediocre. My chicken Milanese was slightly undercooked and the pasta noodles tasted packed with flour. I’d expect restaurant quality pasta to “melt in your mouth” for a truly good place. A few of which in Red Hook and Carroll Gardens really deliver on. Cent’Anni on Franklin isn’t even a “wow” option but does pasta way better. Lastly, the atmosphere is almost clinical. The lights were super bright and with conversation volume it almost felt like a small cafeteria. We ended up heading to Weather Up for an atmosphere palette cleanser. I’m giving two stars because the food was fine and staff was fine, but not much more than that. I’m hoping we just came on an off day and ordered the wrong dishes. Unfortunately, this place is a sad reminder that the golden age of Prospect Heights’ food scene is continuing to come to a close. If you’re dead set on Italian, grab some pizza from La Flor. I really hope management takes note and makes some adjustments. Otherwise, other nearby neighborhoods are delivering much better dining these days. Update Nov 2024 - And if you don’t agree with me, the 9 people that liked this post, the other bad reviews that complain about effectively the same things, or the many local friends I’ve sanity checked myself with who have agreed, I encourage everyone to read the restaurants reply to this simply as an example in decorum and maturity they bring to a disappointed customer with criticism. Unprofessional and sad. I guess that’s the price I pay for speaking up.
