We went on a Saturday night for dinner and they had a band playing at a perfect volume, beautiful accordion music. The food was so good, I’ll definitely get the hot melted provolone again. Our server was incredibly friendly, too. I was soooo sad when Korzo left the neighborhood but this is a wonderful new addition.

The place: very cozy The food: Amazing!! Everything was cooked to perfection, the parrillada, we asked rare and it was perfectly cooked. The milanesa a caballo: delicious, and the eggs, perfect. Mashed potatoes, almost as delicious as mine. I was pleasantly surprised!! I am so happy I decided to try it, to celebrate my chicken graduation. The service was exceptional. I will come back and bring friends to enjoy traditional Argentinian food and I know they will love it. Definitely recommend it! Muy contenta y súper satisfecha con el lugar, la comida y el servicio. Such a great spot. The host Christian was great. They had an orange sangria and the meat was great. I like the look and decor of the place. I’m not always a fan of food in south slope but this place blew me away. Also mashed Yuca is now a thing in my life. Let’s go…

We absolutely love Raíces!!!! It’s been the best addition to the neighborhood in years. The vibe is super cozy and the food never misses. The steak is always cooked perfectly, and the Malbec beef empanadas are honestly the star of the show. I think about them all the time. 🤤 The staff is amazing, and Chelsie especially has been such a standout. She’s SO kind, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about creating a great experience for everyone. We had our city hall marriage dinner here and she went completely above and beyond to make it feel special. She added such sweet personal touches and made the whole evening feel so meaningful. We were really touched by how much love and effort she put in. We cannot thank her enough for giving us such an amazing time every time we come. Raíces will always have a special place in our hearts. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Went with my girlfriend who’s from Argentina and recently moved to the US. She approved of their Milanesa and empanadas, I got choripán and it was really good. Also their fries are really good. First time I went they were perfect, second time they were a tad under cooked so slightly less perfect but still really good.

Easily the best Argentinian food I’ve had in NYC. The staff is super friendly, and the food was just incredible. You can tell they really care about every detail. The spinach empanadas were so fresh and flavorful, and the beef with Malbec sauce was amazing!! I got the ribeye and a Napolitana Milanesa, and both were on another level. Big portions, great presentation, and everything tasted homemade, the quality of the ingredients are great . Can’t wait to go back!!!!!!!

This place is wonderful. My wife has lots of family in Argentina and she recently took my son and I for the first time and we ate out way through the country. And we come back and Raices opens in our neighborhood! We went for the first time tonight with some friends and everyone loved it, especially our 6 year old. You can tell it’s family run, the food the wine the vibe, a guitarist and flutist were playing. This is a good date spot clearly but I’m pretty sure we’ll be using it primarily as a group spot to bring friends. What a great addition to the neighborhood!

L
Larissa Alvarez

Service was impeccable. Staff was so friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Reasonably priced for the portions. And as someone who is married to an Argentinian the decor was spot on. Cozy, inviting and full of Argentinian pride. Looking forward to coming back to try other dishes.

Wow, delicious, delicious, delicious meat, just top notch. A great addition to the neighborhood . An authentic Argentinian top quality steak, but plenty of other choices and fantastic Argentinian wine from Mendoza. Lovely service. We will be back for more fine dining in a great atmosphere. I can't remember a meal I've enjoyed more recently.

I heard about this restaurant through a friend and I have to say, I AM SO HAPPY THIS RESTAURANT OPENED! He was 100% right about the food quality and wine. Food is delicious, both for vegetarians/vegans and of course for meat eaters! Staff is super friendly, they take the time to advise you well, their recommendations are on point. WINE: HALF PRICE ON WEDNESDAYS Wine is spectacular, the owner knows a lot about wine and his selection is just spectacular. So, not only you drink delicious wine, you also pay it half price. A gem in our neighborhood!

Last night was our first time dining at Raices Argentinas and it will not be the last. This was a birthday surprise for my Gf and she couldn’t stop raving about this restaurant once we left. The staff was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and professional, and the food was so tasty that we are itching to come back sooner than later. The beef empanadas are a treat and the skirt steak was cooked to perfection. We ordered a bottle of wine, but because of the Google reviews, I had to try the red sangria which was so good that I plan on ordering the pitcher next time. Christian, thank you for your hospitality and radiant energy. I can see why patrons enjoy dining here. Thank you to the wait staff last night. You all were amazing and I’m looking forward to dining with you soon.

Great service, we got the parrillada for 6 which was more than enough for all of us and it comes with 6 sides. Included entraña, morcilla, chinchulin, chicken, shrimp, and short rib. The empanadas were delicious, tried out the sampler. Can’t forget the sangria pitcher to share with the table.

This place is an absolute gem! The moment you step in, you're greeted like family. The atmosphere is so cozy, and the staff? They're like family, checking in on you and striking up wonderful conversations. Let's talk about the food - it's a flavor party! I've been here multiple times, and every dish I've tried has been a winner. The empanadas are out-of-this-world good, and don't even get me started on the cheese ravioli - pure perfection! And that gnocchi? Mouthwateringly delicious. And hey, the drinks! They're a delightful refresher, the perfect complement to the amazing meals. Save room for dessert! Trust me, they're the cherry on top of an already incredible meal. These desserts are simply delightful. If you're looking for a place that's a feast for your taste buds and a warm hug for your soul, this is it! I look forward to returning! See you soon!

Absolutely phenomenal! I had the picanha and it was nothing sort of perfection. It instantly brought me back memories of my trip to Argentina. The steak was cooked exactly to my liking tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The seasoning was spot on and the quality of the meat was outstanding. I came here with my mom and sister and the service was outstanding. The owners were incredibly welcoming and the waitress was extremely nice! Will definitely come back again!

Warm and cozy. Cristian is friendly and happy to share food stories behind Argentinian dishes. Baked empanadas (not fried!) makes them distinctive. Rich and tasty! We shared delish salmon with creamy mashed potatoes. In the end, I couldn't resist Crepes! Looking forward to coming back and tasting Argentinian wines!

I ate here with my family Thursday night and had the greatest time! The food was truly delicious. The sangria??? Amazing. Even the dessert had us blown away. Took my Argentinian girlfriend here for Mother's Day and it was fantastic. Employees super friendly. Busy but not crowded. Service was perfect pace. Never felt rushed. Food was delicious. Had the braised beef with Malbec empanadas, provoleta, and the parillada for two. All delicious. The mollejas that came with the parillada were a little overcooked in our opinion. Still finished them all. Skirt steak, ribs, and morcilla were all on point. Left stuffed with big smiles on our faces.

Absolutely love this place! I originally came for the food — their empanadas are incredible, seriously the best I’ve ever had. But today I got even more reason to love this spot. While picking up my order, my car locked up. Justin, who works there, went above and beyond to help me. He tried calling roadside assistance for me, even gave me his phone so I could reach someone, brought me water, and even offered me a bowl of food while I waited. It’s rare to find such kindness and care — not only is the food amazing, but the people are too. Highly recommend this place to everyone. Thank you again, Justin!

Highly recommended! Authentic The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, the food is delicious and the service is friendly and kind. The food is spectacular! I recommend trying the authentic Empanadas Malbec, we ordered the grill for 2, which served 3 people with the sides Noque and Yuca mash. The highlight of the lunch was the steak that was perfectly cooked and I recommend trying the dessert, they have the best pancakes with dulce de leche. The wine list is short, but the options are great! We enjoyed the El Enemigo (this wine is of the highest quality, and its producer has been voted the best winery in the world a few times). I really had a very pleasant experience and will be back soon.

Started coming here to watch Argentina matches and this is a great spot for fans. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. Also, the white sangria is fantastic!

This new Argentinian spot in Brooklyn is OMG, DELICIOUS!! We ordered cheese and malbec empanadas plus polenta for appetizers, Churrasco with mashed potatoes as the main dish and flan plus panqueques con dulce de leche for desserts. Drinks, sangría and Gancia. Service is great! Waiter was very attentive and the owner Cristian super nice! Recommended 100%

Had delicious wine flights and nice summer salad! Mushroom chicken also very good. Super fun atmosphere and the owners are so friendly!!! They're so knowledgeable about the Argentinian wine. There's typically, half off wine on Wednesday and brunch/live jazz on weekends. Outside seating is available on 5th Ave plus nice and cool inside seating as well.

We luckily found Raices when looking for a new place in the neighborhood 10 months ago and never left. On our first visit we shared the Parradilla for two and pitcher of red sangria, and knew we had to return. Since then we’ve been for lunch, dinner, date nights, birthdays, and family events which have all been an amazing time due to their exceptional service and ability to make you feel at home. What’s even funner is that they host multiple events throughout the year that include wine tasting and curated asado menus from Argentinian chefs which is truly an experience. Recommendations include everything, but favorites are the calamari, camarones al ajillo, seafood fra diavolo, milanesa (of any kind), churrasco, bife, and every dessert will have you wanting to try the next! Regarding drinks any flavor of sangria is a must have, as well as their mojitos, and rosemary old fashioned.

What a great surprise! I came in for a snack so I choose the burguer. It was perfectly medium-rare cooked and delicious with super tasty grilled veggies as side( they also have fried sweet potatoes or salad as an alt for side). The steaks are more expensive, 45/50, next time I’ll come with my wife for dinner and try those!

ONE OF THEE BEST ARGENTINIAN RESTAURANTS I have ever been to!!! The food and drinks was absolutely delicious, we arrived at 8. They do close at 10 so please be cautious. The ambience is very homey ,warm and welcoming especially with all the decorations they have up. The service was stupendous, we sat at the bar and our bartender was the amazing, he was attentive informative (with all the questions my friends and I had ) and outgoing! 100% recommend to eat here!

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with the perfect blend of elegance and authenticity. The decor is just beautiful. The food is simply outstanding. Every dish is packed with flavor, made with high-quality ingredients, and prepared with an authentic Argentine touch. The service is impeccable, with a friendly and attentive staff that makes you feel right at home. Definitely a place worth returning to again and again. Highly recommended! ❤️❤️

Really good! I went with my family to celebrate a special occasion and it couldn't have been more perfect. The space is big with a bar at the front for more casual drinks and then a section in the back for more formal dining, the size is large yet intimate enough to host a private event. On the night that we went there was a pianist who played a very nice variety of music. We ordered the super parrillada for six which was incredible, the meat was cooked to perfection and all the sides were super yummy as well. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly, the service was at a good pace and the overall ambiance was perfect for a family event. I'm looking forward to going back either for happy hour or to try something else on the dinner menu.

We first visited one evening to try their food and instantly fell in love - not just with the delicious dishes, but also with the two wonderful owners. They’re such a sweet and welcoming couple! We ended up hiring them as our wedding caterers, and they truly exceeded our expectations. Everything was absolutely delicious, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food!

This spot is a hidden gem that deserves a spot in my regular rotation. The workers' quick handling of requests stood out. The environment pleases, the food impresses and everything works well. The choices reflect culinary tradition. Perfectly good!

Raises Argentinas exceeded all expectations. From the outstanding service to the exceptional food, every detail was flawless. The steaks are cooked to perfection, the cocktails are well-crafted, and the desserts are unforgettable. A truly remarkable dining experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for quality and excellence.

Went here for a casual dinner one night with my fiancé, dinner was incredible. Have passed it by numerous times on my walks and decided to stop in today and was blown away by their quality of meats. The calamari was also a must get. Service and the ambience were incredible. Would recommend coming here for a spontaneous date night or just a solo dinner!

Loved el mate cocktail with the music in the afternoon, and especially in the nighttime, the live music. The only complaint is the dimming of the light. I get it, but it was way too dark to see even the menu. (Even with the candle). Food was delicious but a bit expensive.

The steak was magnificent but we thought the chimichuri was not our favorite… not enough garlic and not enough green runoff from the herbs for me. The gnocchi was great.

Had dinner with the family tonight (wife and I, plus two kids). Really wanted to try it as my wife grew up in Argentina (Cordoba) and having been married 20 years, we really enjoy a good asado. The employees are very nice, as everyone mentions on here. The food, at least what we ordered, was OK. It wasn’t bad - but it could have been better. We ordered the parrilla for 2, which had a lot of meat (3-4 adults could split it for sure, plus some apps), but some of the cuts were quite fatty/greasy. It wasn’t grass-fed, which I understand would be cost-prohibitive, but maybe add 1-2 grass-fed options to the menu similar to how El Guachito (Queens) does which would elevate things a bit and make the steak naturally more lean. Or, just select your cuts (esp. short ribs) a bit better (maybe it was an off Friday night). The gnocchi — sorry, skip it. It’s named gnocchi de “nonna”, like mom or grandma’s recipe — but it definitely tasted and had the texture like it was boxed / factory made. Quite dense. My daughter who loves pasta only ate half - and she was hungry. Good or great fresh gnocchi should be soft like a pillow, so if that’s not possible in-house — then speak to Pasta Louise or similar and ask them to supply. But the chef really needs to try good gnocchi to reset the bar before serving this one. Or just remove it from the menu. Empanadas were OK. Kids liked the cheese one. We tried both beef, and they were OK. Empanadas range so wildly it’s tough to really judge as it can be personal (I think Nuchas makes some of the best in NYC) — however they were baked vs fried so that’s a win here. The main one uses ground beef, and the Malbec one seemed like a slowed cooked short rib filling. Neither were bad, but also not something I would go back just to pickup as takeout (which I was hoping they would be). If I want to get really picky — hand cut the beef for your empanadas vs buying ground beef and that would make them 2X better. Water glasses were left unfilled for probably 20-30 minutes a couple times. Asked for dulce de leche with the flan — they didn’t add it. Flan was still good. Lava cake was good. So while the waitress was nice, assign someone to handle the basics (like refilling water) and write down the order if you can’t remember it. Again, very pleasant, but definitely room to improve. Especially when spending $300+ for 4 (including two little kids, and one drink each), there are some things you just gotta nail. Overall, maybe I would come back to try a burger, fries and beer at the bar with a friend — but unfortunately, not for the steak. Again, not bad, just a bit middle of the road in terms of quality for where I believe an Argentine steakhouse should be. And we live just 5’ away…so it hurts a little.

The food here was absolutely delicious: churrasco and hearts of palm salad. I like the cozy atmosphere. The staff was welcoming and kind. But the main course took ages to appear. Once we were served, no one paid any attention to us. No one checked to see if the food was okay. We put the empty wine glasses near the edge of the table to indicate we might want refills. No one appeared to offer that. Eventually we just asked for the bill. I would return because the food was so good, but the service was very unsatisfactory. To be fair, I think perhaps they were short-handed that evening.

I would give this place a better rating, if only the food wasn’t served cold! The mashed potatoes were ice cold, which to me meant they weren’t made fresh. The serving are small and most all the items on the menu were over price. Not a pleasant experience.

I like the atmosphere, but the food is not all there. I though it was going to wow me given that it has the best reviews from my searches, but it fell short of expectations.

I'm conflicted about this review. The service was friendly and everyone was lovely. The ambience was romantic yet appropriate for family settings as well. There was live music which was a wonderful surprise. The biggest issue was the food, the steaks specifically. We ordered the Malbec empanadas (they were great), picanha, and short ribs. Short ribs were recommended either medium rare or medium well. I went with medium since I'm pregnant. These came with two flanken ribs. One came out medium rare and the other much closer to rare. A server noticed while walking by and asked if I needed it sent back for more cooking. I agreed and it came back medium. Picanha was ordered at medium rare but came out rare to almost blue. The fat cap was extremely chewy and inedible because of the doneness. My husband tried to eat as much of it was possible but we had to send this back because it was just too undercooked to be edible. (This is the first time we've ever sent food back.) Unfortunately it came back overcooked and completely shrunken. He didn't eat the rest. Both steaks also needed more salt.

I'm from Buenos Aires, live here in Park Slope i made reservations 5 days before, invited my 4 freinds for Argentinan food for Christmas dinner, and the waitress said ,We don't have flan. It was very disappointing. And I told the manager about it, he gave me many excuses, but he didn't say, "come next time you will have flan on me" Ir something like that...he really brushed it off. So I will never go back, also the option was panqueqes ,but those were really thick. Did not eat it all.

If you seat at the bar, they just forget about you. The TV was too loud, when you go out to dine, you want to have a relax environment. I ordered a bottle of wine $65, and I have to pour the wine myself. I have to ask for some and butter and it never came. When you go to a restaurant and you have to raise your hand several times to ask for service, you know that they don’t care about customer satisfaction, they just care about profit. I hope they change their ways to serve people.

I really wanted to like this place. The dining room is lovely, the ambiance was great, and our server was kind and attentive. The empanadas were fantastic, and left me with high expectations for the rest of the meal, which unfortunately were not met. I ordered the Picanha which, at the price point they have it at (45 bucks) and at an Argentinian restaurant which should have excellent red meat, was just not good at all. I ordered it medium and it came out quite rare, while being tough and relatively flavorless. There was one piece which tasted the way it should, everything else was a chore to get down. On the menu it says it comes with roasted vegetables, but what I received was literally two small pieces of steamed broccoli, and two small pieces of carrots which seemed like they had barely been cooked. Veggies are cheap and easy to make tasty if you actually roast them like it says they are on the menu, it's baffling to cheap out a customer paying over 40 dollars for a dish with a tiny portion of bland, steamed veg. And this was after we waited a very long time for our food, it was Valentine's Day which I know is tough for food service so I'm willing to give them a pass on that. But there's no excuse for an expensive and highly rated Argentinian place to be serving such disappointing meat. Seems like other reviews say the skirt steak was very good, maybe I should have gotten that instead. Though Picanha is a really nice and classic South American cut, and it should be one of the best things on the menu. My partner got the pesto gnocchi which was also quite bland, in my mind pesto sauce should be green, but this one was white, suggesting they really skimped on the pesto. The lava cake was also not very good and tasted like it was a frozen cake which they reheated. I hope the owner of this business can read this review and talk to the chef about what is going on with the Picanha, because the only other review I spotted that mentioned it had the exact same problems I had and was written 8 months ago. If someone orders it medium, it should be medium, and it's a cut that should be tender and flavorful, not tough and bland. The server literally advised me to order it medium because he said the chef has a tendency to make it too rare, but that didn't seem to do me any good. I left this meal feeling bummed out and ripped off which is really too bad. I don't like writing any reviews below five stars but I felt like I had to say something in this case, because they have a lot of good things going for them here and I want to see the business succeed and live up to its potential.

I was check the reviews and I was really expect a good food. We order the parrillada for two, the beef it’s was ok, the ribs over cooked and the blood sausage had a very strong flavor , we order a side of French fries when they came they was brown and greasy everything was wrong for a French fries. And also in the chimichurri you can feels the strong flavor to garlic like a raw garlic recently added and regular oil, last but not least important we order the flan for dessert (it was the only available) and it was terrible! Instead a silky flan texture they gave me a lumpy one. I’m very disappointed. I would like to think that since it was the last shift of the night all the fresh products ran out and they had to improvise. We spent $200 and if we honest we won’t be back.

We have been here more than a few times. The food and drink are good but the portion are getting smaller and smaller each time we go back. Last time we went, we ordered our usual which is the grill for two. It came out as the size for one. Besides, they substituted one of the pieces with something else without informing us and when we asked they simply said we cannot get it. Very disappointed. Never going there again.

Worst meal we’ve had in a long time. The charcuterie starter ($30) that was supposed to have salami, prosciutto, fresh mozz, etc was deli ham and cubed cheddar and muenster cheese. Chicken was dry and the sweet potato fries were definitely straight out of the freezer section. Steak was medium well instead of medium rare. Only saving grace was the wine. Also the staff was incredibly nice. But we will not be coming back, which is unfortunate because we were really excited when it opened.

Why does the chimichurri taste like water? Also, why did I not smell any meat cooking when I ordered 2 parilladas for 2 ($98 each!!)? It could explain why the meat arrived lukewarm... I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I know what this food should taste and smell like and unfortunately this isn't it. It pains me to write this review because the staff was nice but I don't want others to think this is what chimichurri tastes like and that we don't know how to grill.

Interior lighting was dark, could barely read the menu and see what I was eating. Prices shown on the menu are for cash only, which we were not informed about. Service was incredibly slow. Food was old or from a can, tasted like freezer burn! Oil was also stale! Ordered the meat platter for two and a salad, but could only swallow down five bites for a price of over $150. The bill was also not totaled accurately - I don’t know why and how an extra cent was added to the total. Straight robbery. Felt like I was in an episode of Kitchen Nightmare.

The food is ok, but doesn't worth the price. The service is very slow. And on top of that, It's a shame that an immigrant who employs immigrants in New York City could be a strong support of the Trump administration and what they are doing. I refuse to spend my money in places like this anymore.
