Roberta's Brooklyn Reviews
Can confirm that an NYC pizza favorite is worth the trek to wherever this neighborhood is. No offense. there is only the L train and I literally biked 40 min for this. I am a dedicated woman and Roberta’s does not disappoint. I think we came on a weekday evening and there was plenty of seating. I once got delivery and I am sorry Roberta’s. You’re 2000x better IRL. Shared 2 pies between 2 people and had some leftovers to take home. Hot honey pizza or bust. That’s it. We also tried the purple sweet potato pie with root beer meringue, coconut milk jam, and pineapple sorbet. And it was ??? A ?? Lot ??? Of ??? Flavors ???? I have no recommendation. I’ve never had something like it before.
If you love wood-fired pizzas that are a little bit more creative than pure Neapolitan, this is your place. The famous Bee Sting pizza with soppressata, mozz, and hot honey was delicious. The bourbon peach cocktail they had on the summer menu also hit the spot. This place is definitely worth the trip from Manhattan or anywhere in Brooklyn. We took an Uber to the restaurant but it’s fairly well connected by subway and bus too.
The Bee Sting pie was a perfect blend of savory, sweet, and spicy flavors placed in a fine crust. Try to get here when they open to get a seat in their garden or book a reservation. The place had a good vibe and the soundtrack playing was a nice mix of the 80s and the present day.
Never disappoints! Every time I come here I can only be grateful for the consistent taste. I brought my family from LA here as they are huge NY pizza fans. They were very happy with the pizzas. Both pizzas were well cooked and well seasoned. We ended up ordering more despite being full because we couldn't help it. They were also nice enough to make the lil stinker on request even though it's off the menu now. The service is just as good as the food. Everyone here is so nice and friendly. The pizzas come out quick and there is always somewhere there to help. The price is very reasonable for the portion size and the amazing taste. Instagram Handle: @TheShahLALand
Pizza 🍕 is amazing and they have a good range of appetizers and non pizza options (including pasta). Had a wonderful work lunch meeting and everyone enjoyed the food.
Roberta’s is just a bomb a$$ place to go to. A little hideout spot in Bushwich/Williamsburg… the crew is bomb and the pizzas are soooo good. My fave is the Bee Sting. I had to take the homie to experience this place, it was not a disappointment… We gon double back for some pasta next time though. Shoutout to the Head Chef Poppy!✨👌🏾
One of the best pizza’s in Brooklyn. Great environment too! Either in a small or big group, it’s great to sit down and enjoy the place!
We ate the very first pie out of their oven in 2023! Been wanting to come to Roberta’s for a long time and it exceeded any and all expectations. Pizza was out of this planet, friendly staff, drinks were great. Very pleasant experience and should be on everyone’s pizza list in NYC!
While sampling the banana pudding from Roberta’s, I found the flavor composition to be overly complex, attempting to mimic a tiramisu-like experience but ultimately missing the mark. The variety of flavors seemed disjointed, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the dessert. Conversely, the sea salt brownies provided a delightful contrast with their rich, indulgent taste, enhanced by the subtle yet satisfying addition of sea salt. However, amidst the mixed experience with the desserts, the Super Bowl pepperoni pizza emerged as a culinary masterpiece. Combining savory pepperoni with the sweet notes of red onions, the subtle hint of honey, and the kick of chili oil, it delivered an explosion of flavors that delighted the palate. This harmonious blend elevated the pizza to a level of culinary excellence, making it a standout highlight of the dining experience.
The food here is out of this world. I have to recommend the margherita pizza and the tiramisu. The pizza is great, perfect undercarriage, flavorful sauce, tasty cheese. The tiramisu is a lovely orange/cranberry sort of hybrid that is so lovely. The bar staff was hilarious as well has helpful. 10/10
The coffee was rich and smooth, and the pastries were warm and flaky. The staff took their time to make sure everything was perfect. I loved the peaceful morning atmosphere. It’s my new favorite breakfast spot.
Classic spot - still slinging great pies and drinks. Recommend going there on a random afternoon or before the weekend brunch or dinner rush so you don’t have to deal with a wait! Any of the pies are a hit really (Bee sting and Beastmaster were delicious) and the service was excellent. Last time we were there, they accidentally messed up our order and brought us some sides on the house like this yummy summer cucumber salad.
If you're a pizza lover in Brooklyn, you simply must make your way to Roberta's. This neighborhood gem is truly a standout when it comes to delicious, inventive pies that will leave you craving more. The cocktails are unique and taste great as well. From the moment you walk in, you'll be struck by the cozy, welcoming atmosphere - with rustic wooden tables and a bustling open kitchen, it's clear that Roberta's is a place where food takes center stage. And oh, what food it is! The pizza at Roberta's is simply phenomenal, with a crispy, charred crust that's the perfect balance of chewy and crunchy, and toppings that range from classic (like the Margherita) to the unexpected (like the Bee Sting, which combines spicy soppressata with honey and chili flakes for a flavor explosion).
Up-beat, intimate, and little funky of a vibe. Really cool and definitely doesn’t make you feel like you’re in the city. Great for parties of 8 or less, and excellent spot for date night. Pasta looked great but my whole table ordered pizza, and we didn’t even have to ask for take home boxes…well because it was so damn good. Very hot and fluffy dough with simple flavorful toppings. Order the Bee Sting or Famous Original. Can’t go wrong. Also had a dope cocktail menu that I didn’t get to try. Will be back for sure. Some of my new favorite pizza in the area.
A classic for a reason. The tomato and corn panzanella was creamy and delicious. We also tried two of the grilled vegetables, both were incredible. The shishitos came with this amazing dipping sauce and the eggplant were drizzled in a balsamic reduction. Had to get the bee sting and we also ordered a tomato pie (Marisa Tomeito). Perfect crust, perfect toppings, the whole meal was a great showcase of seasonal produce.
I came for the pizza but the dish that really caught my eye and took my heart was the Fire and Ice, stracciatella with chorizo and what I assume is a delicious homemade bread. Of course the pizza (Bee sting) was very tasty as well. The place is cool, nice atmosphere. New favorite spot in bushwick.
When I sit down to write a review for a place I love as much as Roberta's I realize that if it's out of five, I've been doing it all wrong. This would be a ten on a scale of 0-5 but since I can't do that, know that this is one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Kept missing it in LA (yuck traffic) after many rave reviews, was able to walk in to Bushwick loc on a Monday. The crust somehow melts in your mouth and has incredible structure and flavor, AND doesn't get tough as it cools. The sauce is simple(y) perfection. The best thing that happened was realizing they have house made straciatella ☠️ it's so rare to find this creamy cheese in the US, and it was so so good with the amazing housemade bread it comes with. I ate it all and then I considered eating another one or two right after. Again. I want to try everything. Actually, I want to move in. Can I?
Consistent quality from Roberta’s. They have such a creative cocktail menu and their house beer is delicious. Our favorite is the Bee sting and the Chesus Christ with honey (the best pizza topping). The deserts are an interesting spin on classics as well. The playlist is always good, and they are very dog friendly with their outdoor seating. The wait can be long on busy days, but we plan ahead and wait by in a few bars in the area. The service is also amazing. Never have had a bad server there even when they are slammed.
Lovely casual interior and vibe from staff. All the food was made with fresh, quality ingredients. Great thin pies with perfect amount of toppings. The “White Guy” pie was the show stopper in my opinion. The Stracciatella was also especially delicious. Well priced. Excited to go back.
I’ve lived in Bushwick for years and this is still my favorite pizza place in the city. I am so pleasantly surprised every time I come. Also the vibe is way less chaotic these days now that there are Roberta’s all over, but this is still my favorite one. Every time I come I have to get the fire & ice, my absolute favorite simple dish! Thank god it’s not available for take out or I’d order it every week.
This place was deceivingly amazing! From the outside I questioned my boyfriend's rationale on our date choice but once we got in, what a gem!! We had a great time and the pizza was the best pizza I have had. Totally totally recommend it! Pizza will never be the same for me again. I have to come back!!
Roberta's is a must stop in Brooklyn for any pizza lover out there. We started off with the bread and butter which is to die for and followed it up with the little gym salad that was amazing. I was surprised by how large of a portion it was so plenty for two people to share. We also had the cocio a pepe and the bee sting pizza but you can't go wrong with any pizza on the menu. All in all, probably one of my favorite places to come too when I'm in New York.
New York staple for Pizza. Casual atmosphere in a graffiti covered building with picnic table seating. Personal pizzas with the thinnest crust and most flavourful sauce. There were 10 of us on a work lunch and everyone was happy. We shared cheese plates & salads. You won’t be disappointed, enjoy the relaxed pace. Gluten free not available.
This hole in the wall isn't really that much of a hole in the wall. The food is damn good, and all I can say is that I hang out here all day long if I could! Started my meal with a beer which quickly led to a second. Had an "appetizer" with my friend which consisted of a Neapolitan pizza, which is relatively small, that I believe was called the bee sting. Absolutely fantastic! I foolishly ordered the Italian sandwich as my main entree and my friend ordered a cheeseburger. I did not know what I was getting into as this was a lot of food. The Italian sandwich was fantastic, and it came with an endive salad. Both were absolutely delicious! My friend's cheeseburger came with small potatoes, he loved it! The restaurant is sprawling, with parts of it outdoors and covered and other parts indoors. Overall, you're going to have one heck of a good time wherever you sit. Service is good and friendly. Prepare yourself for a heck of a good time!
Favorite pizza & favorite spot! The staff are so friendly and accommodating and everything we’ve tried is so good! Love how the menu is always a little different so there is something new to try and the ingredients are so fresh. Also recommend their cookbook for recreating dishes at home but nothing beats visiting in person! Thank you, Roberta’s!
This was a wonderful experience with wonderful people. Wait staff were super kind, and the atmosphere was uniquely exceptional. Ben, from kitchen staff, absolutely made our trip to NYC. Cannot recommend him, and Roberta's in general, enough.
if there were 10 stars Roberta's would get it💕🍕 The perfect mix of great pizza, Kitch, eclectic crowd and charm. The staff was amazingly attentive not just to us but to everyone in the restaurant. When there was a problem in the kitchen and the pizzas had to be re-made our server made sure that we had something to snack on by bringing amazing olives and bread and butter. The pizzas are all fantastic; I can't complain about any of them ever. And the desserts were creative and delicious, so were the cocktails. We ended up spending far longer than we had anticipated but it was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn... walk around a little bit when you're done there are many adorable shops and amazing graffiti walls scattered about as well as access by subway. mangia!
If you're hankering for spicy, cheesy, and creamy, with sweet & savory basil, then begin with the "Ice & Fire" pie. The toppings with its ingredients are the Top-Gun of excellence. (It is currently my favorite pie there!) The space is wild -- bordering on an airplane hanger housing pizza ovens, where artists once based on psychedelics painted the walls and left it. It's groovy 😎, and tasteful. The place captures the neighborhood. There's plenty of outdoor seating when the crowds line up. Service and ordering are straightforward. Their crew were friendly and knowledgeable.
Great Pizza place. Located in an artsy Brooklyn neighborhood. All pizza options are unique and interesting. They also have a good wine selection including some Italian and French wines. The desserts are well balanced and yummy. The service is attentive and fast. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Amazing pizza. Great outdoor seating in a courtyard like setting. Pizza isn’t exactly crispy but somehow still delicious. The bee sting was far and away my favorite. So delicious. Staff was nice. Good amount of beers anywhere from 5-7 dollars. Not exactly cheap but the experience and food is worth it. Check this one out. Call ahead for a reservation because it was packed
I’ve been twice - once outdoors for dinner and today for lunch. Got a pizza the first time (was one of the meat ones I can’t remember the name!) and it was fab. I love wood fired crust since it’s crispy outside but chewy. The servers are welcoming and nice. Today I split a margarita pizza, a cheeseburger, and sticky bun. Pizza was great (though not completely unique) and the burger was cooked really nicely with pickles onions and lettuce. I’m not usually a burger person but this was very satisfying. It comes with small sliced roasted potatoes. These were a touch dry but the dipping sauce (aioli?) made it better. Our server Savannah was a TREAT and I loved her earnest energy.
This restaurant is the best place for neapolitan pizza outside Italy! Ordered the bee sting pizza Margherita with spicy honey and prosciutto. It was delicious and the first time in a long while that I've consumed an entire 14 inch pizza by myself in a single setting! Of course it helped that I washed it down with a tall glass of Three's local brew pilsner. The service says friendly, the atmosphere was cozy and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meal.
Absolutely love Roberta’s. Pictured are beer and wine paired with the little gem salad, bee sting and famous original with pepperoni. Dessert was the sticky bun sando with burnt honey and the chocolate chocolate chip ice cream. I stopped in on a Wednesday at 5pm and it slowly got packed till we left at 7 so make reservations as needed. Pizza was absolutely delicious as expected. Salad and dessert followed up with that, fantastic. If you want a solid pizza in Brooklyn, give Roberta’s a try. You won’t be disappointed one bit.
Had a grown-up pizza party birthday dinner here. I haven't been back here for years, and everything's as good as I remembered. We sat in the room in the back. I really liked the shipping container decor. Service was pretty good. Food came out quickly. Although we had a small issue with two of the pastas being way too salty, the rest of the food was excellent. The English Pea caramelle was nice. I particularly enjoyed their Margherita and Lupetto pizzas. I would also recommend their maitake mushrooms as well.
Wow just amazing pizza and one of the best I’ve ever eaten! The bee sting was amazing and so was their famous original. The atmosphere is eclectic and definitely funky and strange but it’s an amazing experience and the food is so good I can eat this every day and not get tired of it!!!
Honorary mention to Luis who worked diligently and gracefully even when something wasn’t up to par Luis ensured to fix it right there and then no hesitation no attitude or mal intent. Such a kind soul made me feel like I was right where I belonged. Thanks Luis. S/o kitchen staff also food is yummmieeee
I’ve been to Roberta’s a bunch of times and it never disappoints, but I want to give a special shoutout to the staff who always make the experience memorable. I ordered the pizza with ricotta, white sauce, and added mushrooms (delicious), and even though there was a delay with it coming out, Simone went above and beyond. She was so attentive, kind, and genuinely fun to talk to — she really made me feel special. Also huge thanks to Blair, who has helped me and my boyfriend out on Valentine’s Day and other visits to snag a table. Between the incredible food and the amazing team, Roberta’s is one of those places you always want to come back to.
Note, only gave 4 stars for atmos as we were cold, though they had just opened. We visited Bushwick as my boy is a huge fan of DIIV who use to live and play in the area. I wanted to try one of the Roberta’s and when my boy pointed out the small sign we thought that surely can’t be it. It was 11.30am and I opened the door to see quite a fair sized restaurant. A chef came out and told us they open at noon. He then kindly brushed the snow off a nearby bench and said why not wait. We ordered 3 Margherita pizza’s and four drinks. The pizzas were very good and my son wished he hadn’t shared with his mum, so I gave hime some of mine. The house red wine was a little rough but enjoyable! We paid by card and it came to about $103. More than we’d pay in Sheffield at our local joint “Porter Pizza”. For us though it was a unique and enjoyable experience and we enjoyed our day in Bushwick and my son would like to live there. Oh and the staff were lovely and I was surprised that no tip was asked for on the card machine, so I gave a cash tip. By the time we left at 1pm the restaurant was full.
Well I’ll start with saying I’ve never been so sure I was about to be robbed as I was when our cab driver took us into this industrial area which was pitch black as it was night time. When the car stopped and there was nothing around I was sure it was my time to go !! However the cab driver pointed to a red light over a small vestibule and said “that’s it” was beyond relieved to know we were still gonna make it !! As we had no reso we had to wait two and a half hours for a table as the place was packed. The pizzaiolos were very friendly and talked to us about everything pizza and more. I asked some questions about the oven as it didn’t look like any I ever saw live or when I shop for my own and then they explained it was basically home made on the spot and that’s just amazing and very cool .. especially because they’re churning out NYC’s best pizza. Very vibey atmosphere , very friendly staff … incredible pizza. 🍕 10/10
Don’t judge a book by its cover. From the outside, you question if you’ve come to the right place but don’t let that fool you,the food is great! Highly recommend a reservation. When you walk in, you’ll be greeted by the pizza oven and staff. Atmosphere is cozy, low light with candles on the table. We had a salad to start along with olives and meatballs. All were good and large enough to share. The pizza is Neapolitan style. Crust is very good, soft with the slightest crunch and char. Sauce is good and toppings of sausage and meatballs are flavorful. Staff were attentive and very nice. They’ll box up your left overs for you too. Will return.
Loved it! The atmosphere at Roberta’s is rustic and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a great meal. We tried four different pizzas, and each one was delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, the crust was perfect, and everything tasted fresh. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good pizza in Brooklyn!
Funky spot with an amazing vibe and seriously good pizza! The Bee Sting was hands down my favorite – spicy, sweet, perfectly balanced. We also tried the Lil Stinky, and it was packed with flavor. Surprisingly, the salad blew me away. I’m not even a salad person, but this one was super flavorful and creative – a total standout. The place has that refined grit – it doesn’t look fancy, but everything’s done with care and intention. That contrast between raw and elevated? It just works. Definitely coming back!!!

Ordered delivery from Roberta’s last week. Doordash delivered promptly and the pizza was still hot and fresh! I ordered the Bee Sting & Famous Original pies. Honestly, the only reason why it’s 4 stars is because the pies are tiny, basically a personal pizza for $21 lol. My phone makes the pizza look bigger than it rly was. I wish we got more pizza for the price but alas I understand that the ingredients and thought behind each pie might be the reason why it costs so much. It tastes great.
The service here was good! The pizza came out super quick! It was delicious! My only gripes are the price and the vibe. With tip it was almost $30 for a personal pie that I ate in about 10 minutes. Also the vibe of the place is like your red neck cousins backyard shed. I get the artsy appeal of it and I know it’s intentional. But to give this dive vibe but then to charge that much for a cheese pie feels disingenuous. Maybe it’s more of a vibe after a couple beers.
Pizza was really nice and would definitely recommend but the QR codes to order didn’t work and it was hard to find people to ask for help. Ended up having to walk down the street a little to the takeaway spot to then bring it back to the restaurant which was a little annoying. The workers were really friendly in the takeaway spot tho. Bonus points for the worker who managed to pronounce my friends Lithuanian name on the first go.
The original special maybe be one of the best pizzas i have tried since moving to brooklyn, the ambiance/atmosphere here is amazing. the price are pretty nasty though, a pie is around 25 and toppings can run you up. The size of a pie is a mediumish. You will definitely need 1 per person. Definitely a must visit spot if you are in the area.
Service was good. Atmosphere was good. We were sat without reservations and just asked to have the table back before a certain time. Appreciate of the hospitality. Charcuterie board was great. Very rustic and yummy. Fresh bread. We also ordered the bee sting pizza which we’ve had in the past. This time it came out a tad under cooked, a little wet. When we split the pizza apart the entire cheese off the pizza went to one side. Also didn’t taste much of the honey on the pizza. The wine was great. Pretty expensive in total but would return again. $175 with tip for 1 pizza, 1 charcuterie board, and 3 glasses of wine.
This fine establishment is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is a great vibe and serves as a great spot for any friends looking to get together in a large group or even a casual date night spot. Prices are on the higher end, but it was executed well. The crust was slightly more burnt than I liked which made some parts inedible. I will most definitely be back if I am looking for pizza in the area. The tiki bar is funny, did not try the drinks.
Good pizza, could have had a whole pie to myself and for the price wish the pies were bigger. Ingredients were definitely of quality. It’s a fun time there and the outdoor area is definitely ‘lit’. Might visit again to take friends but wouldn’t go again on my own. Also it’s very busy on evenings/weekends, server was swamped/ forgetful about me and my small group. Also very expensive canned sodas.
Cool atmosphere and good pizzas. lots of seating and even had a tiki bar. Pizza was good balance of thin but also fluffy bread. No sizing is mentioned on the menu but it was 12 inches for both of the pies I ordered. There is some char on the crust but overall a pretty good meal. There was also a happy hour deal that started around 3, which made some select pizzas cheaper.
Buzzy/noisey atmosphere at the entrance, good host and reception with drinks at the bar before table was ready. Waiters not really alert, they messed up with my order, still smiley at least. The pizza is very good/authentic Italian, average price 20 dollars each, but the service is very slow(and I mean it). Can’t say I loved the dessert as I left most of the pancake. Will still be definitely back as the it’s probably best pizza in Brooklyn.
Kitchen cool Brooklyn vibe. Indoor and outside seating. 2 bars. The one we were at you could get food from, but every time you went back up for anything such as a drink or anything like that you had to stand on an enormously long line and wait quite a while, which wasn't great. The meatballs were very good, and the regular and Margherita pies were very tasty. Crust was soft, not crispy and thin.

over hyped. not the roberta's it used to be. not clean, very loud, expensive. plenty of great pizza in Brooklyn, no need to spend your money here.

The food is so good you don’t want to stop eating even when you’re full. However the service is abysmal, enough to the point it makes me hesitate going back. The hostess appeared very exasperated by our existence even though we had a reservation, they seated us in a back corner which I equated to the corner of shame because our server only added to the service level by taking almost 10 minutes to come and welcome us and start our orders. We placed our drink order first and ended up getting our pizza before the drinks. The server then completely ignored us the rest of the time even when we tried to place an order for more drinks (he would come to the table directly next to us and then just walk by as I tried to get his attention). Eventually we got tired of waiting and being ignored so had to flag down someone else for our bill. The pizza was so so delicious as well as their little gem salad and I still dream of it, but that service experience was most disappointing.
Excellent pizza with zero service. No waiters here. No host. It is a self service pizzeria. You order online. Then you go next door and pick it up. Then you carry it back to your table. If you want water, there is an igloo cooler and some plastic cups on the patio. Serve yourself all the water you want. But just know, no one will be offering you water. But the pizza is good. I will give them that. The El Supremo (meat lovers pizza) is $24. It is in between a small and a medium. $24.
There are three reasons I have given only 3* and not more. On a Bee Sting pizza we requested for a pepperoni topping but the quantity of pepperoni was miniscule. The Margherita Pizza was burnt a bit too much on the edges and the strawberry cheesecake wasn't any good. I understand it is a very famous and popular place and the number of pizzas being packed for pickup was a testimony of that. We had a reservation but the place wasn't really full. Neither when we arrived and not when we left but. True it wasn't as empty when we were leaving as it was when we entered but I do believe that take away is a bigger business during summer lunchtime even on a weekend.
I live in the neighborhood I’ve been here 3x and every time the staff was in a hurry and a bit rude (being annoyed when they didn’t hear something or not wanting to explain something on the menu etc). I understand that these simple customer service things don’t come naturally to people that don’t get paid a living wage, but Roberta’s is very group-oriented with tables (I don’t think they let you order just a slice 🤷🏻♂️) and that’s just the kind of thing that happens when dining as a group so I think the staff should be patient when someone has a question. So far I haven’t felt any kindness from the servers so I won’t be returning anytime soon. It’s also way overpriced, there’s way better pizza and cheaper cocktails right nearby. Go to Moondog for cocktails and to Starrlight for a full-size pizza
To begin with, there wasn’t much options for one or two slices. You have to buy the whole pie. I don’t like that. Also, pizza was kinda expensive. Also, They buried my pizza so all I tasted was char and little sauce. Not a lot of cheese. I would say it little better than a cardboard pizza. But, friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
Nothing to write home about - solid wood fired pizza, but definitely a touch overpriced. It's good - but definitely doesn't warrant the rave reviews this place gets. Great for a quick stop in bite, but not worth lining up for.
A very local place, which creates an excellent atmosphere. Their pizza oven looks and smells incredible, but in the end, the result isn't anything amazing. I ordered a pasta dish with guanciale, which had more pepper than guanciale flavor, and the pizza, even though I ordered the "most popular" one, wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either, considering the incredible oven they have.
So this gets a three for three reasons: The pizza is good. The salad is awesome. The penne carbonara is truly terrible \nThere were two on the table and no one enjoyed it. Too spicy. Not a true carbo…
Pizza and appetizers were genuinely good, but definitely overpriced. The servers were so apathetic it was like a parody.
Fresh hot Neapolitan pizza. Service is ok, the waiting time for the pizza is a bit long (around half an hour). The classic vintage Brooklyn vibes make it a warm night place for a couple or a group.…
Napoletan Pizzas are decent, they use proper ingredients, but the dough could be improved... It (the dough) lacks some flavor and chewiness,. For the price I was expecting to have it, but it's stil…
I came in with 3 friends, from when we sat down it took 15 minutes for a server to greet us and then we were treated rather strangely. We had to walk up to an employee to ask to even order drinks and I would hate to say it was racially motivated in this neighbour but when we were given side eyes and not checked on once it’s hard to think otherwise. We were dropped the check while still eating with full cocktails and just felt very uncomfortable during the whole experience. Hopefully next time servers can treat everyone as equals. The food was very good so we hope employee attitudes can be changed. There was one blonde tall server with
I rarely leave negative reviews but with so many wonderful options in the area, if you only have a few days as I did (I was visiting my son) you may want to consider some place else. My review is based on sitting outside in the lost area. I might have a very different review if we sat in the main dining room. My review would be higher if: 1. It was easier to order. We stood at the bar area for a long time to order and there seemed to be no rhyme or reason. 2. If the food came more quickly. 3. If the atmosphere outside was nicer. 4. If there were some thought to cleanliness: Plastic knives, spoons and forks were shoved in one container, and so you pulled your utensils out and it was impossible not to be touching all the other utensils with your hands. Very gross. Also, the staff seemed overwhelmed and unhappy, working conditions seemed bad. The flavor of the food was good but the price was so high and portions so small that I would expect to be eating in a white table clothed dining room and ordering multiple courses.
Service: 0 stars. Hostess was a rude, obnoxious, barely legal, Gen Z who couldn't have cared less about anything. At 6pm, she already acted checked out and was completely unhelpful when I needed her help. Why are people like this hired? Food: 2 stars. We shared the Margherita, Famous Original, Bee Sting, and Lil Stinker. The crusts for 3 of the 4 pizzas were disgustingly burnt. The flavors were fine, but nothing I haven't tasted a million times elsewhere for larger portions at lower prices. The one good crust we got was, well, good, but 25% is still an F on any test. Ambience: 1 star. It's loud. Uncomfortably loud. Sports-bar-on-a-Nicks-playoff-night loud. Be prepared to scream to be heard, and if you're sitting in a circle, say goodbye to anyone not next to you. In short, this place sucks worse than a broken Dyson, and unless you live nearby, it's not worth the journey.
Horrible delivery experience, my food took two hours to arrive, the pizza box was not sealed in any way. I threw it away - not going to eat potentially tampered with food. Disgusting.
We got here 2 hours before we had to be at a show nearby, and the hostess told us there was no room inside and to order at the outside bar. We ordered on our phones and waited over an hour for our …
Ordered a pickup pizza inside, had to come back for pickup 30 min later, pizza was not even ready yet at that time, they simply forgot my order. Gave me choice between new one and wait some more, or…

overrated! $64 for 2 average small pizzas. Don't believe the fake YouTube video reviews! Lacked cheese, toppings, tasted bitter and burned.
Hi all. I've been twice to this place. The first time I came for dinner, and honestly the pizza was very expensive to be in that área and we ordered a very básic one (16$). Also we went another day…
Have dined here multiple times and it was always “eh” or “good enough” that I didnt feel compelled to offer feedback. Recently, however, the company imposed paperwork that restricts/forbids employees’ expression (pins, stickers, etc.) or speech re: Palestine. Get over yourselves. You’re a bougie, overrated pizzeria in *Bushwick* cosplaying as a dive joint. Least you could do is stand behind your laborers even if you don’t necessarily agree with their opinions, instead of cowtowing to offended transplants. *** As for quality of product? During my most recent visit, I had the scallop pasta, and the funghi pizza. Pasta was under seasoned but good enough. Pizza was sad and flaccid. The dough had no structure. Soggy crust. Cheese and toppings slipped right off when I’d pick up a slice. Not worth the time, energy, or the money. Plenty of much much much better pizza places in Bushwick/Williamsburg (L’Industrie, Ops, Pàn). @Roberta’s do yourself a favor and at least get racks to place between the pizza and the pans, so that there’s airflow preventing your mediocre pizza from coming out soggy af. Also, treat your staff better.
Disappointed by Roberta’s Recently moved to East Williamsburg and wanted to give Roberta’s a try after hearing about it for a while. I went to their Bushwick location, and sadly I left pretty disappointed and frustrated. I sat at the bar and after ordering waited over 45 minutes for my food. During that time, several people came in, ordered, and were served within 15 minutes. Around the half an hour mark, I asked if they could check on my order and was told “it’ll be ready when it’s ready, be patient” As far as the pizza goes, it was okay, but the mood the wait put me in made it hard to enjoy. It was also very charred and pretty floppy, even for a neopolitan pizza. Some slices were burnt to a crisp. At that price ($40 for a beer and a pie) and with the seriously sub par service, I left in a pretty bad mood. Wouldn’t recommend
We’ve been coming here for years and have loved it but tonight was truly astounding. There are three entrances and zero information or signs that explain why and which one is for what. I watched many people walk out because they were confused. We should have left… The ordering for the outside was not intuitive at all. You can order food, but no drinks, even though there’s a bar right there. The water container was empty. Our food took 45 minutes, which is fine. We don’t mind waiting. What I do mind is the fact that our pizza was somehow undercooked and burnt at the same time. Remarkable! And my $19 salad was about $1.50 of lettuce with no where near the amount of toppings it required. Dry and ridiculous. It was about a fifth of what you would have gotten had we dined in and yes, there was plenty of room in that to go box. I was told there were utensils outside. That’s fine but I had to ask someone else where they were because they were hidden behind the bar. So was I supposed to go behind the bar? I mean come on. It was wholly unorganized, a terrible experience, and I felt like I was bothering anyone when I had a question.
