Wednesdays Karaoke night has changed the game!! Spicy margaritas are 🌶️
Place to be. Super warm vibes. Stumble upon neighborhood culture. Never miss. A beat
Perfect ! Nice drinks and food, at a great price. Deco was really cool
Very welcoming All types of genre music Great crowd nice workers
I feel like I'm at home there except I don't have to clean up after myself but I do anyways
Cute neighborhood spot serving a simple Mexican menu which is executed very well!
Live music and friendly staff. Mushroom and spinach quesadilla was delicious.
Great tacos. Great quesadilla. Great spicy cucumber Margarita
Really delicious tacos, great staff, neat atmosphere.
Enchiladas were fantastic. Will definitely be returning
Lovely time at a local bar with super friendly people and very yummy food! Live music/jam session was a total vibe too. Will def be back!
Good Drinks and amazing workers!
Marcely was an excellent tender! She makes really good drinks & she’s pretty what a plus!
Great food, great service. Great atmosphere. Also Red Pepper Lemonade? Really delicious.
Great vibes. Love the art on the walls. The chef was lovely and made vegan tacos for me and my friend.
Simple Mexican food menu, great beer, and if you are lucky you'll catch DJ Mojo or comedy on a Friday or Saturday night!
Go here! Best tacos, drinks and ambience! Great spot to refuel after an IKEA trip.
Delicious cocktails! Super-friendly place. Must make it a stop on your Red Hook tour.
Great atmosphere, great music. . .great drinks, and I love the guacamole and chips
Perfect dive bar. Tin ceiling, margaritas, tacos....and staff is great too
Great place to have a margarita in Red Hook. Lovely atmosphere.
Cool bar, great drinks even better food.
Good vibes. Great drinks. Solid margaritas. Open late!
Tasty Tex mex coming out of the kitchen! Good mezcal menu and overall laid-back vibe
Chill, great people, and the food drinks are always tasty. Top notch djs too.
Had great chips and salsa!! Like the greasy authentic ones. And the salsas were like spicy pico gallo.( Red and Green) The gin and tonic was pretty good and the happy hour prices are $5 for well drinks. This is about to be my new after work spot.
This place is seriously the best. I came here for the first time after an ikea trip and have gone back multiple times since. What’s not to love? Great drinks, yummy Mexican food, nice staff, live music, divey/fun interior, and good outdoor set up. I always order the enchiladas bc I’m basic but everything on the menu is good - esp. the margaritas. I’d recommend San Pedro Inn any day!
Food is amazing here! I always get the quesadillas which are bomb all the time. The Oaxacan cheese is perfect with the mushroom or other carne you choose. Chips & salsa/guac are my go-to, to snack on. Kitchen staff knows what they are doing thanks to the head chef, Chef Andy. Jamaica Margarita or the traditional Margarita are delicious with the tajin rim. Atmosphere is so chilled, love it. You'll be happy to have stepped foot in this restaurant, muchas gracias San Pedro Inn.
Fast service. Accurate. Lovely food. Nice tacos. $8 Draft beer! Beautiful outdoor summer experience. Scaleable. City bike docking port here.
I love this place. It had a very old school field and comfortable atmosphere. And it's right next to one of my favorite bars. But let me not bore you with places outside of San Pedro. This bar / Taco experience was exactly what I needed being with an old friend. Immediately the first beautiful bartender had beautiful eyes that were very easy on mine. And then another bartender came out and she blast me into the past from anywhere around the 60s to the 70s. I think she was the main factor why I felt like I was in the past because she look like something straight out of a photo and they're Brigitte Bardot days. She was the balance of Yin and Yang. And then added to that was the tacos. They were delicious. Me and Dom had three everything tacos which consisted of carnitas carne asada mushroom and tongue. We also added a carnita and a mushroom taco to that order and everything was delightful. I spoke to the chef and the cook and they were very friendly and spoke openly about the process and the food which added even more to the experience of my day. But at the end of the day that bartender was the biggest Factor in my comfortability and reality throwback. I will be here again a lot for those tacos for the bartenders and for the amazing experience.
You know that feeling when you get all worked up about tacos, but you get somewhere too late. But you still get a drink and feel a little weird. Yeah, I almost did, but San Pedro took me in and showed me the love. Thank you
Great food. Awesome Mexico City tacos and tasty quesadillas. The margaritas are delicious as well. An appropriately boisterous yet not unruly crowd.
Best tacos for happy hour
Amazing Mexican food and great local beers in this awesome venue. Great for if you're nearby Widow Jane distillery. Really good for lunch. Excellent service.
We were dropping off family at the cruise terminal and chose this place at random for some lunch. The food was fantastic as were the drinks. We will definitely come back.
One of my favorite places to visit after a trip to Louis Valentino Park. It is one the closest bars to the waterfront. The place has a cool atmosphere and a great collection of bar lights.
Pretty cool spot to grab a quick bite and drink while waiting for the ferry. Especially on a cold night. Staff were really nice.
Funky locals joint with very good food and fantastic mixed drinks. Is the food authentic... No. Is the food delicious... Absolutely! The staff there were amazing and friendly. The bartender created fantastic mixed drinks. The place has a really funky vibe and they play really good music. I'd go back again.
This is the best burrito I’ve had in New York City - I love the steak burrito! Great flavors, grilled the tortilla to perfection. And some of the nicest bartenders you could hope for 😄
Annie is the best!!! Food was amazing as well. We had a great time! Will certainly make the journey down from Maine to just come here. Tacos and quesadillas are incredible. Thank you!
The food here is excellent. The cake in the post was not from here. It's where I had a surprise birthday party for my wife. Yet this is the town's favorite. My wife like their nachos, shrimp ,and cheese. The service is what you really expect friendly waiters and bartenders. The atmosphere is chill family and friends just having fun.
Great drinks, along with a phenomenal laid-back space. This is the epitome of an after work joint. Quality stuff at a great price. It's very easy to spend several hours here, trying different drinks and food. Make sure you go with people that you like because you're going to want to share and enjoy. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
Came here for brunch and loved it. Wife and I got a nice table outside in the shade. Ordered the mushroom quesadilla, chips and guac, and vegetarian tostadas. All the food was great and was made from fresh ingredients. Nothing seemed like it was left over from the day before, something I have routinely encountered at Mexican themed brunches. Wife's bloody mary was good and seemed home made . Wait staff was super friendly and attentive. Overall we had a really good time and thoroughly enjoyed our food.
I little crowded and loud for weekday but service was fast and the drinks were great!
Came here off of the ferry wanted to grab some easy food and get some drinks. The Ambiance is very interesting they have many things to look out on the walls and lots of Decor everywhere I ordered a caesar salad and my boyfriend got fish tacos. We also tried the watermelon margarita with a salt rim and really liked it. If you're in the area and want to grab some casual food and drinks I recommend. The waitress that status was very nice and helped us while we were there.
We were having bad luck with finding places to get food after our IKEA trip. We were hoping to just get food there but they were closing, then we tried another place that was too busy. I looked on my Google maps for nearby places in Red Hook and noticed I had pinned this place as a "Want to go", I can't remember why, but it was meant to be. It was a good busy outside and a few tables inside. Walking in... reminded me of another divey Mexican place in NYC that closed down (Tortilla Flats). The place looks super unique! The menu is small and simple, which is good for us very hungry people! We weren't going to drink, but when in a Mexican restaurant, we had to try their margaritas too! We got Caesar salad (which is amazing!), and 2 orders of 3 tacos (so good!). The service was good too! We will definitely be back!
Vibes , impeccable service a1 Get the Al pastor your welcome
I love everything about this place. The carne asada burrito is surprisingly great and it’s small enough where you can eat the whole thing without feeling sick. The drinks are pretty standard, but all good. Happy hour is $2 off margs (M-F 3-6). And the vibes inside are great. Sorta divey but also homey and weird. Love it!
After getting extremely HANGRY at IKEA this place save me from a self inflicted wound , we stopped in for tacos and beer and the shrimp, mushrooms, chicken , Carne Asada and Shrimp were awesome (as far as tacos go). Very fresh , and a chill vibe with some history , we got there at 4P on a Monday and it felt like the place gets packed but we were the early bird special , but well worth it.
Fantastic bar in Red Hooke Brooklyn. Awesome service by Joe and Gavin. The owner Jason is also a top bloke .Places like this are a fantastic find. Food is also great with sensational burritos and more coming out of the kitchen. Cant fault, keep up the awesome work. Loved my time here. Thank you
Food was exceptional especially for what looks like a dive bar - but seems more like it’s an amazing restaurant in a dive bar setting. Very good cocktails. Carne Asada tacos were my fav. My husband loved his chicken quesadilla.
I’m not one to usually leave reviews but this place has stuck with me as one of my favourite memories from my visit to NY. We were made to feel so welcome by the staff and the vibe was amazing. The music was absolutely top notch and the people in the bar, wow, so lovely. Such a mixture of ages and everyone was so friendly and loving to each other, it felt like such a community spot. We didn’t eat here, but had cocktails and it was honestly one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had and I don’t say that lightly. 10/10 would go again!
it took me awhile to forgive this place for not being the bait & tackle but it’s legit a great vibe dive taco bar. servers are great! mushroom tacos are so good even tho they are$7
Get the salsa!!! It was so fresh, one tomato red the other salsa verde. You could tell both were made fresh with great flavor. The tacos were all 5 stars. I personally didn't care for the tortilla chips served with the salsa they were pretty thick and greasy but they were more traditional and that is my particular taste preference more than a fault of the restaurant. Loved the spicy margarita as well.
Your favorite bar’s favorite bar. Don’t come here, you’re not cool enough. The food Menu is criminally slept on. Get the carne asada quesadilla. The live music vibes are unmatched. Rn some Tio is DJing techo from a keyboard and the band of wigged hens are taking the stage. You wouldn’t like it.
Great music, great prices, great location on the bumping street in red hook and Spencer is a kind bartender who makes a delicious whiskey sour and plays a terrific soundtrack. Soul, R'n'B, disco and the likes. Perhaps my favorite bar in NYC.
Edit: the tacos were soo good, happy hour was a blast. I’m not from here and everyone was so kind and friendly! 🫶🏻

Annie the server was awesome! Couldn’t have had a better bartender. Food was good and fair portion for the price but a bigger side of salsa would be nice.
I left wondering why all restaurants can't be this good. This place serves great dishes. We've watched staff members grow over time. Staff makes helpful suggestions with a personal touch. Service from employees was attentive and dishes were outstanding! Another visit is planned.
Such a great bar. The food is better than it has any business being. I honestly think they have the best tacos in the area. The bar itself is very cool, with all sorts of fun ephemera covering the walls. Vibes are always good and laid back. A great fit for the neighborhood.
One of the best. Cozy dive bar with really friendly and sweet bartenders, a good local/regular crowd and shockingly great Mexican food. The mushroom quesadillas are terrific!

A bit loud for us oldies but the food was great.
Great bar, good food nothing amazing. Can sometimes be rough to get service but good company around for the wait. Love this place.
Friendly servers, chill vibe. Veggie burrito was great! Squash quesedilla was meh.
Good & fun cocktails & tacos. Mushroom taco was best because it was the only one w sauce
Cute little bar I visited on Thanksgiving. Kitchen was closed, I got a mule that was delicious.
Cool dive bar that boats a good selection of whiskeys and draft beers. I hear that the tacos are good as well.
Very cool place to eat Nachos and enjoy friends
Cool dive bar with great food service and drinks.
Much more of a dive bar than a restaurant, really. Super friendly service. Didn't eat but was told the food was pretty good. Music was great but our friends were DJing that night, so I may be a bit biased. :)
The chicken quesadillas were delish. The bartender was friendly. It was a nice neighborhood bar. Nothing fancy though.
Very funky, dive bar with food in Red Hook. This place used to have a nautical theme and has managed to maintain the fertile ambiance I remember from 12 years ago (when I saw a Melvins Punk Rock Brass Band perform). It's nice to see a mash up of locals and visitors sharing the space; international artists and blue collar Red Hook denizens alike feel at home hanging in the same venue. Only in NY. Love this place! Tip generously.
The San Pedro Inn is a perfect mix of delicious food and great atmosphere. This spot will fulfill all of your delicious taco desires. I also highly recommend the tostadas as well. Along with our delicious array of mushroom, carnitas, and carne asada, we also ordered some margaritas that were very tasty and not super busy. My only gripe would be that a chorizo taco was missing.

I attended an event in the area and decided to stop through based on the reviews. My dining experience here was lackluster. The food was mediocre. Nothing here to see but it appears to be a hangout spot for the locals. I don't plan on returning again.
First time here. Tacos were pretty good, felt very welcomed at first. Was hoping for a calm ambiance because it looked like a nice neighborhood bar but when the locals came in, they were screaming and yelling inside and were completely inconsiderate of others so it seems like a very low-end dive bar. The waiter was however, phenomenal and very attentive. It wasn't really my vibe so I won't be returning but I definitely would recommend this place if you're looking for a dive bar where you can be rambunctious and loud. 3 stars because I neither loved nor hated the place.
Sorry, I was unimpressed with the menu especially the roasted chicken quesadillas with the rice and beans side dish. It appears that the quesadillas was made on mini taco shells 3 to be exact with a cup of rice and 1/2 cup beans for $30. Used to more generous portions from a Mexican restaurant so I was taken aback by this venue portion size for the amount spent. I've tasted better as well I didn't feel the love for cooking in the dish.
Reviewing for the food only: Been here many times and I’m really trying to love this place…but the prices hurt a little for the portions. Definitely more a bar than a restaurant and I guess it’s on van brunt so they gotta pay rent. Tacos are the solid go to here for a standard 3 for $15 price. The shrimp one might be the best around though, very juicy! However 15 bucks for a brunch breakfast burrito on the smaller side with no sides…idk just all over kind of underwhelming (see bar Bruno on Henry st instead) Service is always very friendly but on the slower side. It IS red hook so folks should chill out anyway. IF you’re just looking for a late night bar to knock back high lifes and shots, then ignore my review. Each time I head out for a late night trip to San Pedro’s I always end up going to ice bar next door instead 🤷
Maybe I’m a bit of a Mexican food snob, but the food was not the best. The queso Oaxaca was the best part about the dish, but the meat was not very flavorful. Also the cost of $6 a taco?! At least the service is nice.

The food was not seasoned and the meals were priced too high not to be seasoned. Their shrimp tacos where great however.
Tried 3x times. Weird vibes. Tried to like this place. Tacos just below average. And overpriced. Severs whack food on tables. People yelling at the bar. No thank you
Excellent food! But disgusting service, the lady was so rude, no please or thank yous, 0 interaction. Awful service, I took out!

Prob the worst food ive had in brooklyn Dont get the enchiladas Service was sooo bad Only go here for drinks n late night vibes
One of the bartenders that works there was really rude we went to eat with my son and we had the worse experience in our life
Terrible service, rude bartender. Save your money. Came in for tacos at a normal hour, and bartender was visibly annoyed. No greeting. I asked if we could see a menu and she shrugged like a teenager at her first retail job. Owners, the middle aged woman bartender working Sunday afternoon at 4 pm is costing you customers. I will be advising all local friends to avoid this place. RIP Bait and Tackle.
Anytime a black woman is embarrassed is not ok. Communicate better.
I had the 3 taco deal, meat was dry they tired to cover up the dry meat with tons of raw onions. I believe the meat was left out all day, I started throwing up around 2am and my stomach is recovering today.
The food was great, but it was served by waiter who was extremely rude. I love coming down to Red Hook, and remembered this location when it was Pioneer Bar. However, my experience there this Sunday was unacceptable. The waiter, who stated he was from San Francisco, made the entire experience terrible. He may have been trying to be funny, but he kept crossing the line and kept throwing jabs. Despite really great food and drink, the experience was ruined by a waiter who had too much attitude.
I arrived there with my cousin and we ordered some food and whine. Unaware of the no outside food policy, I proceeded to eat some food that I had purchased elsewhere. Once again, UNAWARE of the policy because it isn’t posted anywhere in the restaurant. ANNIE the waitress delivered the policy to me in the most nasty, disrespectful, and raunchy way possible. I understand that that’s the policy of the restaurant HOWEVER as a waitress at an establishment, your delivery and tone speaks volumes and I did not appreciate the way that I was spoken to. She needs to work on her attitude as well as her delivery with her customers.
We ordered three tacos. 2 Al pastor and one shrimp. The shrimp was ok and el pastor was tough and overcooked. We eat tacos a lot so we know what it should taste like. The guy who served us had a horrible attitude, never checked in. When there was a price question as we were promossed a happy hour special, he ripped the pay machine out of my hand and walked away. While the problem was resolved by the overappologetic lady, the guy kept mumbling something angry in Spanish while looking at me. We've been there before and this was second and last time. Not only food is not good, the service was downright terrible. Go elsewhere.
