I was in the area for Spider Mountain and hit this place because in the middle of the week the places very close to spider mountain are closed. Absolutely some of the best Mexican food! I was really super impressed (and kind of felt like I was taking a chance since I'd had Mexican in Burnet down the road the night before that was really rather mediocre). The salsa here is great! Everything tasted so good!!! I will definitely be back for future spider mountain /Reville Peak Ranch mountain bike trips. I had two margaritas with dinner and really felt like it was very moderately priced, especially for how wonderful the food was!

Friendly service and good portions! We split the beef fajitas for one — this is everything that came with it! Definitely would recommend!

Best Mexican food we’ve had in a long time! Rosita welcomed us, herself, and my mom and I had a lovely lunch! Food was fresh and perfect temperature! We had the cheese enchiladas, and the tamale plate! Ask to try the verde sauce, it’s awesome! Will definitely be back, and recommend this one to all of the highland lakes area! Beautifully bright atmosphere!

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! Really good food! I enjoyed it so much that we go here regularly for Friday dates! I recommend the chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce 😋

They go above and beyond to satify their customers. We arrived around 8:45 pm with a party of 8, and they were very willing to serve us. (Restaurant closes at 9) Staff was very curtious and friendly. Not to mention, the food was EXCELLENT!!!! Food portions were awesome, even kids' plates were very well served. If you are hungry for good Mexican food Rosita's is HIGHLY recommended!!! 😋

Love the food, simple great tasting Mexican food. Super nice person who served me. I was counting change for a soda and asked if I was hungry. I tried to pay for the food but days later when I got paid but they refused and just asked for my business. You definitely will be recommended and have my business from now on. Finally Burnet has a decent place to grab a meal.

Best Tamales in the Hill country if not the whole state. Thin masa filled generously with tasty, seasoned pork. Wife loved her chicken flautas, good guac. Excellent service. Reasonably priced. Glad we came, will be back. Follow up 11/15/24 sadly they've lost their way. Tamales not near what the used to be, the meat is about as thick as a pencil in a bid wad of masa. Other items not so good either. Too bad. Things change and rarely for the better. UPDATE: gone to pot. So sorry.

This place has the best Tamales! I called several places to have a few dozen made and everyone only had them seasonal. Rosita's is the only place you can purchase them. The service and food is great! This has become my favorite Mexican Restaurant, I highly recommend!

Great place. Tacos and guacamole are excellent. I love that they aren’t strict on masks. Really, what is the point of walking 10 feet to a table with a mask on and then taking it off? Everyone is breathing the same air. Makes no logical sense.

Stopped for a quick lunch after reading reviews. Chips and salsa are very good and are served to everyone. Both are freshly made. We ordered the #1 combo plate with beef enchiladas and would give it a solid 4 rating. The taco in hard shell was tasty. Also freshly made but felt the enchilada red sauce was a bit pasty and strong in its flavors. Rice was just ok, didn’t eat it and beans were creamy and delicious. Guacamole was also freshly made on top of iceberg lettuce that was very crisp and fresh. Service was great, quick and efficient. We shared and we were very full. Next time, would just order individual tacos.

Prices have gone way up. Food was mediocre at best. Service was non existent even when we were the only customers in the restaurant. I will take my buisness elsewhere in the future.

Food was acceptable but not great. Service was good. Prices a bit high. Disappointed however; we had a little one with us that kept asking for chips, it was late and he was hungry and tired, but because he would have choked on them, we requested a flour tortilla for him to munch on til the rest of the food was delivered. When we got the bill, we realized that we had been charged for the tortilla. I realize that you don’t get something for nothing, but for 4 adults and a toddler the bill was $100; no booze, no extras. A free tortilla would not have broken their bank.

Miles Q. Montegut

Neat, clean, but not too friendly. The cold plate was great, taco was STUFFED with ground beef. But if you order enchiladas don’t expect enchilada sauce. They use a tomato sauce. And I mean like a marinara sauce. 😣🥴😡

The price of the food has gone up. I looked online at the old menu. Yalls items went to 4 to 6 dollars, from what I use to pay. Ecen the drinks has gone up. Yall have lost our business.

Some of the food was okay, the steak they used in the fajitas & in the steak Ranchero was rubbery & tough & there was a lot of flavor. There needed to be more heat, it didnt have much spice at all. The sour cream sauce over the enchiladas was really thick pasty, like it was overheated & old

Service was Great. Chips were good and so was the salsa. I live in the area so I wanted to try this place out to see how the food was. I asked the waiter to give me his best items on the menu. I received a large burrito , two tacos and to two tostadas with rice and beans. The tostadas were soggy the tacos were made with some sort of mystery beef and the burrito had some type of watered down cheese and they put the outside of the onion in the burrito. The part you are supposed to throw away. The total bill was $56.00 The waiter asked if I wanted a to go box since since I only took one bite out of each of the dishes. I said no. I gladly paid the bill and gave the waiter a nice tip. This has been my experience.

2 stars for a good waiter but the food was really sad. Chicken enchiladas had meat that tasted like it was cooked 5 days ago and was sitting in a boil bag to be reheated, pink and mealy. The rice was definitely not fresh and had been completely dried out and neglected. Beans were rehydrated and just sad. I had a long 8 inch black hair inside my enchilada. Overall it seems they have given up on making food worth paying for.

Ordered take out, but when we went to pick up, the place was very crowded and no one was wearing a mask. Had the #1 combo, which was just OK. The taco did not have much meat in it, and the beans tasted off. The guacamole was excellent-very fresh. However, due to the lack of safety protocols, we will not be back.
