Café Sarafornia Calistoga Reviews
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The service, ambiance a d food quality is off the charts. Kudos to management for a job well done, and to the staff for executing so well! I would drive out of the way to eat here!
Absolute treasure of a place. We're so glad we found it and will definitely be back. A fantastic menu. Great service, great prices absolutely delicious food and very welcoming staff
It was our first time in Calistoga and we stopped here for breakfast. The food and service were fantastic! We will definitely be back!
A beautiful, welcoming and lively breakfast place. It is clean, has fast service and tasty american classics. My favorite, Brannan Benedict just works, with a twist of homemade gravy ( way better than hollandaise). If you are in calistoga, pls try this place out for a warm and happy breakfast.
Cute, homey cafe recommended by the antique shop owner down the street had great choices. The BLT with egg could not have been tastier. Recommend.
One of my favorite historical cafes when visiting the wine country. The food is great and portions are perfect. The staff is friendly and they're always attentive. Prices are good. Seating is limited and it can get crowded.
Perfect breakfast and brunch spot in Calistoga ! I really loved their foods. The hashbrown was one of the best. Omelet and egg Benedict were so flavorful and they were very generous with ingredients. The foods came out super fast and the service was great. The best part was how reasonable the price was. It was so refreshing to see the middle class prices amid crazy inflation madness. I am definitely coming back when I visit Calistoga!
Extremely pleasant workers taking care of me at the counter. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Visitors like myself mingled easily with local regulars. And the food is so tasty. I had poached eggs with chorizo. It came with toast, avocado, Mexican sauces and various veges. The coffee was flavorful and refills were free. Cake and pie and cookies freshly made by a local nun looked up and me throughout my meal but I didn’t surrender. I was too full.
Went in around 8:30am, we could choose our table. If you go around 9AM, expect a full house and some wait time. They are busy! Friendly server, great service, and yummy food. When we asked for 2 orders to-go, the server even tried to have the kitchen cooked the food closed to when we leave. The food stayed warm when got back to the resort! This is above and beyond service. Also loved the restaurant decorations, full of history and very festive for the holidays.
Delicious!! We will DEFINITELY be coming back. Breakfast/diner food without all the grease and a Latin flair. Everything was very fresh & service was great! Got multiple drink refills and even some extra gravy for the biscuits and gravy because she noticed he'd eaten it all, both without asking. Give this place a try !
We went on Memorial Day around 10:45. It was quite busy but we got one of the last open tables. We got drinks pretty quick with the host then had to wait at least 20min for a server to come by (who had very strong patchouli on). None of the food listed on the menu had any indication of size or amount. I ordered the cinnamon-vanilla-peach special with pancakes & when it arrived, I had 3 fluffy cakes stacked up, spanning the full size of an open hand. They were incredible but way too much. If I’d known they’d be so large I wouldn’t have ordered it, as I only ate about 1/5th of it all. Since I’m flying home today, I couldn’t bring any of it with me. It was great food and a neat little spot but after waiting for so long at the table and being rushed to order, it wasn’t the best experience.
Repeat customers over many years. Given Calistoga's relatively limited options, Sarafornia is the better choice. Typical breakfast/brunch venue. Over the past 20 years or so, food options have improved some, service has remained tolerable and prices have doubled. Note the mandatory optional and taxable tip - an oxymoron once reserved to the left-leaning bay area which has now apparently found its way as far s Calistoga.
I was trying to find a breakfast place to go with my best friend whom I haven't seen in ages. I gave her three options and she said she liked the dinner feel. Nothing like also needing time to research the menu and still take forever to pick. Both of us got distracted and took forever to order. We were sipping on coffee. Yes yes it will open your eye right up! (the coffee) Our orders were placed at separate times due to us blabbing but both orders took a long time. My friend's order came first and she waited for mine. I enjoyed my scramble and she hers. I think both of us wanted Benedicts. It was also a very poppin Sunday morning! Aka lots of people coming in and out. Our server looked like she barely had time to take a sip of water for how busy it was. *wished for maybe a vegan option or two but not the most veg head friendly Ambience=dinner all the way
food came fast despite being busy but the omelette tasted funky and my friends sandwhich was meh he asked for bacon on it and for $4 it was one small piece. We both left and had stomach problems shortly after. waitress was a grump i wish i didn’t have too say it.
Cute atmosphere and a great town but the waffle was dry and cold. i took one bite and couldn’t have another. I got a classic burger and i could’ve just eaten at home with how subpar it was. It was very obviously frozen and the ingredients didn’t taste fresh. Fries were alright. The service was great we got seated right away. I had a bite of the Mexican omelette and it was good
