Tony Roma's Carson Reviews
Excellent service and very friendly customer service.
The food was great. Still a great burger, fries and onion rings. Now the bad- the redo is dreadful. they cut parking area in half. Seating is cut by about 60% too. You open the door and you're literally on top of someone at the order counter. Zero room to stand to wait for a To Go order. This particular location was always a high traffic dine in location.. that is gone now. its so tiny and crammed. i can't believe they were happy with that redo that took 10 months. i wish they would of just left it alone and unfortunately i don't want them to do another redo because that would be another 10 months down the drain.
I.love Whatsburger but I specifically asked for cheese on my burger 🍔 and for some reason the forgot
This morning, I visited a store to purchase eight gift cards for a work event. I was assisted by an employee named Hope who went above and beyond to help her new coworker. Hope trained the new employee on how to load the cards and explained the process to me as well. As someone who works in customer service, I was thrilled to see such exemplary behavior from Hope. She was patient, kind, and helpful throughout the entire process. I am grateful for her exceptional service and would like to thank her once again for a job well done.
Fast and they always get my order right!
food was good staff was nice but the restaurant is tiny tiny tiny but it was very clean
Food was delicious and the service was really great and quick. Restaurant was clean and well maintained. Ordered the usual Double Whataburger and loved it the lemon pies were also delicious as usual. The spicy ketchup was awesome of course. Just wish they would serve their honey butter chicken biscuit all day! Will come back.
Thank you Corina and Alexis for great customer service and working hard :)
Upon entering. we were great with a very friendly "welcome to Whataburger, y'all" and had amazing customer service from beginning to end. The food was delicious and not overly greasy. Just like I remember from coming here in my childhood. I have since moved away from Texas and deeply miss Whataburger. Coming here did not disappoint. This was a great location to come visit. When I'm back in El Paso, I'll be sure to come back to this one!
Initially I hated it here but they gave me a refund and were nice about it.
Excellent customer service and the food always fresh
Even though we had to wait 15 minutes for our food, I kept going to the counter and the young man said he was working on it but what happened was they forgot our ticket or they overlooked it but the young man was very nice. We will return mistakes do happen.
This establishment delivers exceptional culinary offerings. The service provided is truly remarkable, exceeding expectations at every turn. Furthermore, the ambiance and overall design of the dining space contribute to a superior experience. This location stands out as a prime example of excellence in its sector.
Everything was okay. One of the best of the smaller Whataburger locations. It was crowded, and the only bad thing was that my fries were a bit overdone.
I love Whataburger, but lately not sure what is happening. Our burgers were cooked medium rare and they forgot to toast our buns on both sides. I do have to say thank you for not submerging our fries in salt though lol
Food is always good. The dining room is way smaller after the remodel.
Dined in over noon on a Thursday with a co-worker. The drive thru was packed. The dine in was pretty sparse. My first time eating here, everyone raves about it. I ordered a #5 combo, bacon cheeseburger, subbed the fries for apple slices, came with a fountain drink. The food came out fast. The place was clean. The staff were polite and professional. The prices was reasonable. The food was good but not as good as maybe I'd expected. Like in my mind they haven't re-invented the burger, as some of their best customers would lead you to believe. Overall a good experience. I'd definitely go back and recommend to friends and family. The guy at the counter was super outgoing and friendly. He checked on us a couple times, maybe because he didn't have much else to do....
Slow service, dining area is too small, they have given me my order wrong twice in one week.
I love whataburger don’t get me wrong but the service is absolutely horrible, went in at 10pm and I was missing some change and the girl took forever to come and attend me, whataburger pls better your pay.
Food is fine but it is the SLOWEST "fastfood" you will ever order
Went to the newly opened store today. I'm sorry but it feels kinda disappointing. The dine-in area is cut to less than half of the original one. It looks tiny compared to before. Tables are very close to each other. One table is right outside of the restrooms. We were told they expanded their drive thru to 2 lanes. So they allocate more store space to serve drive thru. Now all tables are occupied, and the whole store feels packed. We just want to enjoy some weekend time there, but the atmosphere becomes, hurry up, people need seats, finish up and leave. Well, we really miss the old one, the one with the large dine-in, old-style seats. We might switch to another location in the future. But I guess maybe the drive-thru is better?
Love the burgers but whoever designed the remodeling should be fired. It's so small now that it's not really inviting.
So, they remodeled this place and we'll, now it doesn't feel like Whataburger anymore. The large open concept it had before was great. The dining room is very small, uncomfortable and the trash is located centrally in the passing area next to the soft drinks. I'm sorry this remodel is a miss for me. At least the food is still good. For now.
Talk about shooting yourselves in the foot the new restaurant is a fraction of the size of the old place. Only a hand full of tables inside. Several people all standing around me said they would not come back. I don’t believe if they had any outside seating. disappointing to say the least.
waited in the drive thru for 25 minutes until i got my food, then waited longer cause the person in front of me hadn’t gotten their food yet so i was in the drive thru for basically half an hour
Food was good, but after reopening they made it sooo much smaller than before. Not a huge fan of the dine in experience, and saw downsizing as a huge mistake!
Food was okay.. just a whole lot of attitude at the drive thru ..new building same crappy attitude
It's a hit or miss. The last few times I have eaten here, their burgers have been undercooked and raw in the middle. You can get sick from undercooked burger meat (it's not steak). But most days, customer service is good; but sometimes it is horrible. Today, it was good. The only issue I have is undercooked burgers, and that's a recipe for sick people and possible lawsuits. I knew there was a reason why I stopped eating here. I'm not sure why I even tried it again.
Newly remodeled Whataburger unfortunately the temperature is freezing the food about cold quickly. You cannot use your application to pay at the kiosk so don't waste your time Cashier had no idea what was available on the menu 😞😕 Waited an hour for the food which is ridiculous for fast food
It’s Dec 2nd, 1pm in the afternoon (not a rush hour), while in line watched them deliver 3 cars orders, take orders back out of cars(wrong order), my bad, I should have checked my order as I get back to work to find my order(4th) order was wrong. Fries weren’t even fully cooked. Cmon “W” do better. Guess Sonic next door is the new lunch spot. Nothing like being charged for a double and getting some rando burger…. This place was better before the over haul/ revamp
New facility is way to small. I imagine because the dinning room shrunk the kitchen is probably larger due to more production of to go orders. What good is a massive kitchen if I have to wait 49 minutes for fast food? There are atleast 8 angry people in here now waiting for their food who also order 35 min ago.
Ever since they reopened after the remodel my food is always cold or my order is incomplete or both.
The dinning room is very small with only 10 tables the employees have more space than the customers to dine in very disappointed on the design it use to be my favorite whataburger, will now go to the doniphan one 😢
I was there today 12/20 I order the green chile hamburger. It was really bad. I order with a single meat, large coke no ice. They give me a call with ice and the hamburger with a single cheese and with a little chile and squish hamburger. I am so disappointed of the service. This is what i got.
Dont waste your money here! Please choose any other location but this one! The service here is less than par to say the least. The staff is unfriendly and quite honestly rude to non-hispanics. The burgers were not up to the usual Whataburger standard. I had a few little pieces of mushroom and barely any sauce on my mushroom and swiss burger. My husbands patty melt had a tablespoon of sauce and a teaspoon of onions and his bread was smashed and torn! My sons burger was was missing his onions. Our friea were soggy and lukr warm. We wont be visiting this location again.
Took the drive thru, and they took about 30minutes to get the food out. This is the second time. Not coming back again
If I could give zero stars to this location I would! They absolutely suck! Try to avoid the drive through unless you are willing to wait 15+ on the side of the parking lot , as they ask all the cars to move forward and have you wait, the point of the drive through is to get your food and go, there are nothing but useless teenagers working here that can’t even melt the cheese on your food! The order is always cold or the fries with excess of salt! Definitely don’t recommend this location it sucks !oh and let me add the fact that they don’t even know which car ordered what when they come out to deliver your cold food to your car! Useless employees comes from poor management
I've been going here for 3 years but I have to stop. In the last 6 months or so the service here has gone straight down the toilet. People here seem to work a lot slower than they used to and will outright ignore you unless you aggressively reach out to them. Literally workers staring right past you like you don't exist acting like NPCs. You see so many people work here yet the level of service and attentiveness is ridiculously bad. I watched a guy take around 8 minutes to fill up 4 drink cups for an order. It can take over 15 minutes to get someone to get your online order just because the people working here are actively avoiding customers.
Do not go here. It looks like Whataburger trying to cut corners with a smaller building than the one they used to have. What’s the need? If they do this with building don’t want to know how they/if they do the same with food. There’s about 7 tables and 3 of them right next to the restrooms.
Just got off the phone with the rudest manager her name was Michelle. I ordered my food online and I got notification that the driver was picking it up. Then I get a message that it was cancelled however I was notified until I looked at the status. So I called the store and spoke to this rude woman. Basically told me that she didn't know how I was going to get my order and that it wasn't her problem of delivering my order when I had placed for delivery. She gave me complete attitude and was unprofessional. I told her to cancel the delivery fee since I didn't get my order and once again she stated it was her problem and that the only thing she was gonna do is make sure my fries would be replaced when I told her I better not get a cold meal. So I told her to cancel everything since she had a nasty attitude, I asked for the general manager name and I'm contacting corporate. Never had a issue before but this was by far ridiculous!!
Their sodas are always nasty they never taste like they supposed to, service is super slow and ambient is just not friendly anymore I really hate coming here even when it’s just the drive through.
Horrible service, drive through always takes 30 mins. Go somewhere else!
Very poorly managed restaurant. They left out one of three items I ordered and paid for at drive through. When I called, manager did not offer a refund and gave me a 3 day deadline to go back and get the item.
Came thru the drive thru granted I could’ve moved up more if asked but they were reaching out from the corner when they could’ve obviously walked out the sliding doors and were laughing but I mean that’s the new generation of workers lazy literally could’ve dropped my food and drinks and we almost did! When asked for a drink carrier she even rolled her eyes at me ever since the remodel seems like they just hired anybody to work here
For the restaurant being brand new, they do sure take forever getting your food out in the dining hall👎🏽, waited about 25-30 minutes on a medium patty melt meal.
Got in line at 4:20am 2 cars in front of me. They took my order and when I drove up they didn’t have my order saved. She seemed lost and confused.
Most incompetent workers ive ever seen. Have messed up my orders 3x in a row and always have trouvle ordering with them
The worst New Whataburger I been to. it took them 30 minutes to get my combo #5. They look so lost. They just forget about your order.
Took forever to get my food. Wouldn't come here if your in a rush.
I’ve been to the renovated location twice and both experiences were really bad! I thought that maybe after the first one it would get better but I think it just got worst!!
Ever since the new remodel, this location takes forever to get your food. Take lunch to get lunch cuz it will be a long wait.
25 min wait for fries and a coke zero. The last building is gone and with it went the great service they used to have.
They ruined this Whataburger there is no where to sit the schools used to hold fund raisers here that is NOT POSSIBLE! thei side is going to be so crowed i think people just stopped going here it’s so bad. then they open two lanes and still stop the cars at the front and block both lanes now sooooo annoying. not only that but they changed the staff and they have zero clue how to run a whataburger
After remodeling it became worst in all aspects, time and food quality became extremely poor Opt for close locations instead
Order a couple meals and the had me wait while the gave others behind me food and they tell me move up and I had vehicles rushing me to move when I order before.
Horrible remodel. It feels claustrophobic. They made it smaller almost as if they don't want people to eat in. Will not be coming back to this location. If Whataburger does this to all new locations they will lose my business.
Just spent 30 minutes waiting for a green chili double and a number 1 just to get a dried out burger that tasted as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day disgusting. 30 minutes and couldn’t even get a fresh burger.
Ever since it got rebuilt, it has become one of the slowest fast food restaurants. They made it smaller because their customers were mostly ordering drive thru and now you wait average of 10-15 minutes.
Everything’s wrong with the order as usual. Cheeseburger no cheese, wrong drink and missing drinks. Was way better before the remodel
This has got to be the WORST Whataburger in El Paso, if not in Texas. The service is horrible, the food products they put out are substandard, and apparently the leadership team doesn’t care about correcting any issues. This is not the first time that I’ve come by to get a meal and the order is completely incorrect, missing something, the burgers and fries are cold, the sodas are just carbon water, and/or the burgers are completely disgusting. I’ve attempted to contact the leadership team and it’s apparent that they aren’t trained on fixing any issues and on customer service. Even after complaining and posting horrible reviews, not once have I heard from their leadership team or their Managing Partner, Gilbert Tapia, Jr. I would assume that as a leader he would take the lead in making sure that the operation is running appropriately and that the standard set by Whataburger, the Corporation, would be important to him. I really believe it starts as the top and it’s apparent that his leadership team at the restaurant aren’t being trained appropriately. Once again, I will contact their corporate office and ensure that they are aware of the substandard food and service and the lack of response from both their Managing Partner and his leadership team. I am certain that Whataburger has a standard that every restaurant should follow and this one in failing miserably. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. If they had zero stars ⭐️, I would have chosen that. This restaurant is NOT worth the time, not worth the money and definitely not worthy of the Whataburger name.
Horrible sirvice. You kids ignoring the order it took about an hour to get my order. And sone kid told me that he made a mistake thats why it took so long and when I got it it had a bad flavor. I will never come to this whata burger again.
Zero customer service the food was dry never going there again I don't recommend going there
the new building is horrible, horrible design for a fast food chain that is often busy day and night, and only one restroom?! SERIOUSLY?? Why have 11 people working just for them to go to the back as soon as you go up to order, and the inside is disgusting, the tables aren’t cleaned constantly, and the floor isn’t swept and looks as if it hasn’t been for the past 4 days. If you're going to have that many workers at once on payroll make sure everyone is doing something. Do not recommend for dine in whatsoever, much better off going to the one off resler or desert blvd to dine in.
Terrible service in the drive thru at the Sunland Park location in El Paso. Both lanes were backed up with more than 4 vehicles in each lane. I was 2nd car to window to pick up a simple order of a Whataburger Jr. I waited another 10 minutes and still no sandwich. Finally went in and asked for a refund. Ugh!!
Tall boy with blonde was making fun of us cause we brought jack in the box n js got fries n he was talking about us in the back and laughing in the back like somthin was funny and my fries were dump in the bag
they take for ever to give you your order especially doing doordash, they dont pay attention to clients. Bad Service!!!
Place has been remodeled but its now smaller!! Drive thru is slower... This is my second time i use the drive thru and i was parked to wait for 3 chicken strips while 8 cars left with their orders. So sad that the place is smaller and their 2 way drive thru is a complete fail.
Incredibly unprofessional for a store that had an ample timeframe to train their employees. The employee at the front counter was all over the place and had an irritable attitude towards me. I had to repeat my order to her several times, and even then it was still incorrect. I received a medium meal when I asked for a large, and when I had to correct her on my order for a 4th time, she snapped at me, responding with; “it’s correct I guarantee you it’ll show up on the receipt.” Which is incredibly rude and shameful. I’ve spent my entire lunch break waiting for my food, and won’t even get the chance to eat it. This whataburger location has always been unprepared and jumbled across all boards, even before it was torn down and remodeled. I will not return and I don’t recommend you come here either.
This isn’t the first time I’ve gotten food that had been sitting around and horribly burnt after waiting 20 minutes in the drive thru. The “Manager in charge “ made no attempt to rectify the issue! She told me to look up the corporate number online, seriously, and thanked me for the feedback. She didn’t even offer me an opportunity to get some fresh food! It’s obvious that she hasn’t been trained on customer service and the ability to maintain a fresh product for her customers. I will continue to make sure people know about the horrible service and their inability to address their shortcomings when it comes to their food! If there was a zero rating, that’s what I’d give them.
Extremely small patties, extremely expensive and got pretty much nothing. I'm better off going to Walmart
This is lame location of a whataburger, they jus remodel it and there is less space to eat in place and i had to sit in a table that is jus right beside the restroom door i actually can hear a guy groaning in there, bad space design. I really like whataburguer food but this restaurant is really lame on that matter
Never fails, this location ALWAYS takes forever to kick out orders - no matter the day of week or time of day! Been sitting here (I was the 2nd vehicle on arrival) and ordered 1 brkfst on a bunch and it has been +10mins waiting for my food and still no sign of it being ready - the service at this place SUCKS!!
The food was normal but to make our order almost an hour! They were making orders of people who arrived after us faster.
Everything time I come to this location I’m waiting more than 40 minutes for my food. I could understand if it’s a one time thing but it happens to me at least 10 times that it takes more then 40 Minutes to get my food. I know I’m not the only one who feels that way because I have multiple friends that go to that location and say they have to wait a long time to get their food
Went there for a late pick up dinner at 4am. Ordered a double meat with bacon and jalapenos and some chicken strips and a coke for my wife. Was charged and given wrong food. Went back to swap for my food and wasnt given my drink. Had to go back 3 times to get my full order. Finally got home and my burger only had a single slice of bacon. Honestly better to look for a different whataburger
This is hands down the worst Whataburger I’ve ever ordered from. My orders are wrong every single time. I pay for extra jalapeños and consistently receive none at all. The staff is unhelpful and disengaged, and the management is absolutely horrible. Nothing ever improves, no matter how many chances I give this location. If you want to be disappointed, eat here! Because that has been my experience every single time.
Went at 11:10 and i order 2 salads by drive tru something quick, we paid and they told us to wait 5 minutes, we end it up waiting 20 min, ended up asking for a refund
My order was made incorrectly twice! All I asked was to add cheese and jalapeños to my double meat bacon burger with no onions, which it wasn’t made right. Than I was given a single regular whataburger with onions with no cheese and jalapeños. I had to go back twice to get my correct burger. The manager was unprofessional and all of the employees were laughing. We will never come back to this location.
I’m not exaggerating when i say every single time i go here to this location after they reopened, it has been non stop issues. i waited 30 minutes for 3 strips and they got my drink wrong as well. I can’t place a mobile order because every time do, they just let it sit on the heat warmers by their MUT and don’t run it out with their curbside employees.
Everytime we order from this specific restaurant, our orders come wrong. Missing items, extra ice when we ask for no ice, there has never been one single time we ordered from here that something didn't go wrong. Because of how the app works, we cannot order from another whataburger so we keep getting our orders poorly made. Refunds are hard to get and the app isn't upfront about it. The workers keep urging us to go in person to get the refund but if we could go in person, we wouldn't be ordering delivery in the first place. It is very upsetting, since we do pay good american dollars for it.
With the recent remodel the dining area has been cut in half! There is no room left for those of us who liked to sit down at eat, no staff cleaning the tables too! The new layout is horrible and the increased modernized kitchen didnt seem to increase speed of service.
I'm so sorry to say but ever since the remodeling this place is not the same as before, beware as you enter and put your order in for DINE IN look before you order once you place your order you turn around and guess what no where to sit at all it's like they are saying order and get out very disappointed big time. The food was so so fries were stail and cold and not fresh at all they had made a fresh batch of sweet tea guess what it wasn't sweet at all. Horrible horrible horrible big time.
They took so long to remodel this location only to be a huge disappointment. The dining space is so small... soooo small! You're cramped with other people. When you sit down your chair literally bumps with the chair behind you. We definitely won't be coming back. Even tho I love Whataburger, I hated my dining experience.
Id like to say it was nice but since it was newly renovated the only thing that changed was the appearance. The drive thru concept they stole from chick-fil A was slow as hell. Food was almost cold when i finally got it. Seems like the only thing "original" about that place anymore is the paper thin burger patties. U might want to stop by chick-fil A to check out how to properly work a drive thru. Just a thought
