Daddy's Restaurante Cd. Victoria Reviews
My pregnancy cravings were fulfilled here, delicious collard greens and amazing sweet potato with corn. During this first trimester it's been hard for me to enjoy food and I'm grateful for the recommendation from Google to try Big Daddy's while in Victoria. Please check them out if you're in the area!
i’ve never made a food review, but this spot was worth it! we came down from wy and wanted to try some soul food bbq you’d expect from texas…this was the best food i have ever had! my chicken literally fell off of the bone as i picked it up!! my two sides i chose were green beans and mac n cheese, absolutely amazing green beans so flavorful and the mac n cheese was homemade and so warming and mouth watering! two young brothers just started this business about 7 months ago and learned how to cook by their grandma! i’ll say she can throw down and passed it down to them!
This is amazing BBQ and real soul food. The ribs were seasoned so well you want to lick any bit that rubs off on your plate. The collard greens and sweet potatoes have you begging for seconds, thirds and a to go plate. The pork chops are cooked to perfection. The portion sizes are fit to feed a man who's worked 12 hour shifts in the Texas sun or a Southern woman working to keep her curves. By the end of my meal I was asking if the chef was single and open to marriage proposals. Wonderful food, very good service and will be back every chance I get!!
Highly recommend! The food was delicious and extremely flavorful. We were able to try most meats. Attached pictures are ribs and pork chops with a side of potato salad and cornbread. Highly recommend everything on the menu. Not pictured, 2nd plate of ribs and sausage, with potato salad and BBQ beans. Also not pictured was their BBQ chicken, highly recommend it was extremely delicious. And best for last, their sweet tea and peach cobbler are to die for! Best cobbler I've had. Gentleman was extremely nice and welcoming. Loved the environment!
Exceptional bbq and service. Quinten was a delight to visit with. Try the smoked pork chop! You won’t find a better one.
The Oxtail plate was really good and it was really tender. I enjoyed the Mac & Cheese, but I REALLY liked the potato salad! I can’t wait to try the chopped beef sandwich next. Victoria needed this!
This BBQ place is so good! If you’re looking for fantastic service and great BBQ then this is the spot!!!! Also his sweet tea and lemonade trumps any place in town!
I had a very nice pork chop. Regardless of thanksgiving day, Iuckly found this nice bbq restaurant. I recommend here!!
Absolutely a great place to eat. The oxtail, chicken and ribs were off the chain. Super nice young man who owns it. Nice Christian young man

Awesome brisket , corn bread and sweet potato yams catered to our home benefit. Met Q Thomas today aka Cowboy Q. A very sweet and gentle soul who owns the place. I’m so proud of this young man. A must eat! Real southern comfort food with fine hospitality service.
Picked up two plates to take home. We tried Chicken & Ribs. Quentin was kind enough to give a taste of the pork-chop with the ribs as I couldn't decide. The meat is served on a bed of rice to catch any drippings. Between the two plates we had Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Cabbage and Sweet Potatoes for sides. It comes with a couple slices of bread and a bit of bbq sauce. They had just run out of Brisket and Corn Bread unfortunately. The Ribs were the best meat by far - quite good. The Chicken was good, the pork-chop had a bit of lighter-fluid flavor - which I really shouldn't complain about as it was a sample. Meat is on the salty side. Sides were good but we didn't think there was a standout - the sweet potatoes were definitely sweet. Will try the Mac n' cheese next time and hope to get some corn-bread. Nice decor, plenty of seating and parking. Q and his brother were very personable. At $20 I think it was a fair price for the size of serving and that it came with the fixings.
Came in from Houston for a business meeting and stopped at this Soul Food Gem! BEST FOOD IVE HAD IN AWHILE. The pigs feet were so tender and flavored the old school way. A very kind young owner who goes above and beyond for his customers.
My wife and I just ate at Big Daddy's. We hate corporate chains. Boy is Big Daddy's a true family local restaurant. I was very surprised by the number of choices. The prices are reasonable. The owner came out to check on the food. He's a very nice local man. Grew up in Mission Valley. He said his nickname is cowboy Q. His mother comes and helps him out. We were both so impressed with cowboys work ethics and food. Please give him a shot. We will be going back weekly. The combination of BBQ and soul food was perfection.
Ok so im not a resident of that area but made a stop there to eat some BBQ and all I can say is that it was excellent 😋. I would highly recommend you to tryout there BBQ which was very tender well cooked not burnt. The plate I had consisted of ribs, brisket, and sausage with rice and green beans. Would like to give Quenton white two thumbs 👍🏻 up and keep working your magic on the BBQ.
The food is amazing especially the bbq brisket and ribs! You have so many options when it comes to sides, if anyone is traveling through Victoria or live there yall should make this place your go to for food. The owner is young and black owned and very respectful.
LOVING THIS PLACE! Newly pregnant and wanted BBQ and couldn't seem to find anything until Big Daddy's and they were so kind and accommodating! The food was great with large and delicious portions I can't finish with my newly pregnant self but I definitely will put this on my favorites to return to!
Met Quincy in this fantastic place today 11-28-2025! Best BBQ I’ve had in years! The brisket and sausage plate was other-worldly! We will be going back often! Good job Quincy!
Ribs and chicken were delicious. The sides are home made. Generous helpings. Friendly service. Want wait to go back.
Ribs were amazing! Chicken was extremely juicy! Cabbage was on point! My kids were dancing in their chair with every bite! Owner is super sweet and knows how to spice.

Bought plenty of bbq and cattle from this young man. To know him is to love him. Victoria is slept on this place. I wish all the success to Q. Thomas and praying for a bright future ahead. -McNary family
The food was 10/10 . The young man From mission valley is very sweet . I recommend the fried ribs and Mac and cheese !!! I also tried oxtails for free today and I'm now in love.
Great Food and Awesome service. The brisket and ribs are amazing! I’m not sure about the bad reviews I never seen a small portioned plate from here! A Hidden GEM!!
Second time eating at this place n this is the second time I’m disappointed. First time I had chicken n it was soggy n Mac n cheese was slimy . Now I got brisket n that was not done it was chewy . Now cabbage was good , Mac and cheese was better than last time.. plate is too small for the price sorry yall got to do better n no I won’t return. Had to eat my sides couldn’t enjoy my main course.!
The brisket was very tough. It was too sweet also. Please lower your prices if you're going to be handing people plates like this.
