El pescadito Cdmx Reviews
Probably the best seafood tacos in CDMX. Yeah they’re on the pricier side, but the quality is perfect. The shrimp are crispy and delicious. Always busy but there are plenty of tables and the service is quick.
First taco visit in Mexico City did not disappoint. Came recommended by a local nearby for seafood tacos. I had the fish and shrimp tacos, pretty large tacos, and a cerveca. The batter is slightly on the thicker side but the seafood is fresh and they have a great salsa bar in the middle. The hosts were all great and speedy. Will come back
The best bite of our entire trip were these tacos. The shrimp taco was our standout favorite taco we had. We also loved the chile relleno and fish tacos. Everything is fresh fried, and there is a toppings bar where you can dress your own tacos exactly as you wish. It offers different vegetables and salsas. We came back twice: it was our first meal and we made sure it was our last as well because we couldn’t stop thinking about these tacos. I will be thinking about this place in my dreams.
Taste: Seafood taco restaurant. Campechano taco was top tier. Consisted of fried fish and shrimp and they did not skimp, was really the size of 2-3 tacos. Smoked tuna was meh but not bad. Service: order the tacos, they make it right in front of you, then you go to the salsa bar and load it up. Coleslaw with spicy mayo on the campechano made it top tier. Value: 6.30$ for two very large tacos + tip - Great
Amazing service. The employees were so friendly and were so helpful. These tacos were made super fresh, they fry the seafood in front of you, made to order. They take your order as you walk in, they give you a receipt and you pay after you eat at the cashier. There are sooo many different toppings and sauces you can choose from, and you help yourself. Lots of tables available and ample space. I will definately return next time. The price was extremely affordable. Two tacos filled me up cause they are so loaded.
We loved the place, for tasting, we tried all of them. All of them really really nice but the winner was the camarón taco... service was a bit strange, plenty people but no one takes order, only for the drink, food you have to do yourself... this could be improved somehow.... anyhow, if you are around 🛑 and enjoy it!!!!! like we did.
Tacos were good. I can't complain but I wasn't blown away. My favorite thing was the toppings bar. Plenty of interesting things to put on your taco. I think I would have been much happier if I hadn't ordered the tuna taco. The shrimp taco and fish taco were quite tasty. I absolutely love the fact that you walk up, tell him what you want, get your food, sit down and eat it, then pay and get out. It's a simple process with good food. Service met expectations.
This place is solid but timing is very important. You need to come here right when they open because you get the fish fried freshly. If you come in at 1pm they have already pre fried the fish and it sits in a metal tin so it’s not as fresh. I like this place because of the salsa bar and fish tacos in the morning. Not the best I’ve had in CDMX but very solid if you come in the morning and you’re nearby.
Good place to come for seafood/fish tacos. We came and tried two different kinds, with fish, shrimp and stuffed pepper. There are many toppings inside to add to your tacos which really add to the flavour. They are a bit more expensive than other places. We were the first customers in the restaurant as they opened at 11 AM—not sure if that was a blessing or a curse. I really wish they had served us freshly fried fish and shrimp tacos instead of what seemed like reheated meat from the night before. That said, the flavor was still phenomenal, which speaks volumes about their seasoning and preparation. If the seafood had been freshly fried, this would’ve easily been a 5-star experience.
Mexico City Taco Eats #1 Had the fried shrimp and pepper taco and the marlin fish taco. The fried seafood had too much coating and is too fried/brown for my liking. The tacos themselves also didn’t have much taste and required a lot of salsa and garnishes to be flavourful. But with this much cabbage, pico de Gallo, and sauces it tasted more like a salad than a taco. Maybe seafood taco is not really my thing but I have had better fried shrimp/fish tacos in the states. The marlin fish was also a little fishy. However, the sauce variety was great and the horchata was incredible. Service was also impeccable. Would recommend if you like seafood tacos.
Looks like they changed names from el pescadito to la pescioza. None of the meat was fresh so we were hesitant. Me and my partner shared 1 atun y Cameron and didn’t care to finish it. Portion was huge too. The sauce bar is fun, but without good tacos it seems to be for show, or to slather your taco with sauce and toppings so you don’t notice the old meat. I understand frying batches when it is busy, but at 1pm it was not busy either so they could have fried it fresh.
